대전력 3상 유도전동기의 고정자권선을 이용한 전압원 인버터의 병렬운전 (Parallel Operation of Voltage Source Inverters by Using Stator Windings of High Power Three-Phase Induction Motors)

  • 본 논문에서는 고압 대전력 3상 유도전동기의 고정자 권선을 이용한 전압원 인버터의 병렬운전 방식을 제안한다. 현재 사용되고 있는 대부분의 4극 이상 대전력 유도전동기는 각 상의 권선이 외부에서 접근이 가능하도록 외부단자가 설치되어 있으며, 이들 외부 단자를 이용하여 복수대의 전압원 인버터를 병렬운전 하여 대전력 유도전동기를 구동할 수 있다. 이와 같이 고압 대전력 유도전동기를 복수 개의 전압원 인버터를 병렬 운전하여 구동할 경우, 특정 인버터의 고장발생 시 비록 구동 토오크는 감소될지라도, 나머지 인버터로 시스템을 계속 구동할 수 있어 시스템의 고장대처능력을 향상시킬 수 있다. 또한 병렬 운전되고 있는 각 인버터의 스위칭 동작에 대해 서로 위상차를 갖게 함으로서, 등가 스위칭 주파수를 증가시켜 출력 토오크 리플 감소와 입력 전류 리플 감소, DC Link 커패시터의 크기 감소와 같은 좋은 특성을 얻을 수 있다. 또한 각 인버터로의 전력의 분산에 의해 시스템에서 발생하는 EMI영향을 감소시킬 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 제안한 방식을 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통해 특성을 증명하였다.

  • This study proposes a bi-directional interleaved current-fed resonant converter (CRC) with reduced size of the output filter for a fuel cell electric vehicle. The proposed CRC achieves zero-current switching turn on and off of switches and diodes and makes ripple current of the output capacitor theoretically zero. As a result, the cost and volume of the output capacitor are significantly reduced. The two-stage power conversion technique is also applied for wide input and output voltage range operations. A 2kW prototype of the proposed converter is built and tested to verify the validity of the proposed operation.

  • In this paper, High brightness LED (light-emitting diodes) driver IC (integrated circuit) using new current sensing circuit is proposed. This LED driver IC can provide a constant current with high current precision over a wide input voltage range. The proposed current-sensing circuit is composed of a cascode current sensor and a current comparator with only one reference voltage. This IC minimizes the voltage stress of the MOSFET (metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistor) from the maximum input voltage and has low power consumption and chip area by using simple-structured comparator and minimum bias current. To confirm the functioning and characteristics of our proposed LED driver IC, we designed a buck converter. The LED current ripple of the designed IC is in ${\pm}5%$ and a tolerance of the average LED current is lower than 2.43%. This shows much improved feature than the previous method. Also, protections for input voltage and operating temperature are designed to improve the reliability of the designed IC. Designed LED driver IC uses 1.0 ${\mu}m$ X-Fab. BiCMOS process parameters and electrical characteristics and functioning are verified by spectre (Cadence) simulation.

  • In This paper, the output characteristics and vibrations were compared and analyzed according to operation method in 100W class. The voltage source is applied only two phase in BLDC drive system therefore commutation torque ripple and imbalance of RMF occurred. Due to this efficiency was significantly degraded because mechanical loss is increased, besides the vibration and noise were greatly generated. The vibration and output characteristics were compared and analyzed according to three phase and BLDC drive system.

  • 입력 AC 120[V]-15[A]로 제한된 미국의 전원콘센트에서 출력 DC 15[V]-100[A]를 얻을 수 있도록 SCR 위상제어방식을 이용한 자동차 오디오 장착용 정전압회로를 설계하였다. 제시된 설계에 따라 자동차용 전원공급장치를 실험한 결과 리플전압이 110[mV]인 출력 DC 15[V]-100[A]를 얻었다.

  • In this paper, design and control of the novel SEPIC-Flyback converter(SF converter) is developed as a possible converter for fuel cell system. This output characteristic of SF converter is similar to Buck-Boost converter in that it can step-up or step-down the voltage. With the small signal equivalent circuit modeling of SF converter, control-to-output transfer function is obtained. SF converter couples up the inductive type converter to capacitive type converter with one transformer, which has less ripple current than its respective one does. To verify the validity of the proposed converter, 500W, 100kHz converter is designed and tested. ZVS switching and active clamping are also tested in practice.

Dynamic Characteristics of DC-DC Converters Using Digital Filters

  • This paper presents the dynamic characteristics of buck and buck-boost dc-dc converters with digital filters. At first, the PID, the minimum phase FIR filter and the IIR filter controls are discussed in the buck dc-dc converter. Comparisons of the dynamic characteristics between the buck and buck-boost converters are then discussed. As a result, it is clarified that the superior dynamic characteristics are realized in the IIR filter method. In the buck converter, the undershoot is less than 2% and the transient time is less than 0.4ms. On the other hand, in the buck-boost converter, the undershoot is about 3%. However, the transient time is approximately over 4ms because the output capacitance is too large to suppress the output voltage ripple in this type of converter.

  • The simplest method for measuring output currents of the three phase inverters is to measure them with three current sensors such as hall sensors. This method requires at least two current sensors, and these types of sensors are somewhat expensive. More economical method is measuring DC link current with a simple shunt resistor, then, reconstructing output current using the DC link current value and the switching status. However, in low speed region, the measurement becomes difficult and even impossible due to the requirement of minimum switching duration for A/D conversion. These problems can be overcome by limitation of switching duration. Limitation of switching, however, causes voltage and current distortion. Owing to compensation, distortion can be effectively suppressed. However these increase acoustic noise due to increment of current ripple. In this paper, a current measurement method is proposed, which can reduce minimum switching duration resulting in reduction of acoustic noise. The validity of proposed method is confirmed through experiment.

  • In order to improve the system utility efficiency of energy conversion, it is desirable to operate the PV system at maximum power point of solar cell under versable condition. This paper describes the experimental results of the PV system that contains a solar modules and DC-DC converter(boost type chopper). The Simulation results show that the PV system always operate at maximum power point of solar cells having stabilize output voltage waveform with relatively small ripple component.
