LED를 이용한 VLC-CDMA 통신 시스템 성능 분석 (Performance of VLC-CDMA Communication System Using LED)

  • 백색 LED(Light Emitting Diode:발광다이오드)는 고휘도, 향상된 안정성, 낮은 전력 소비, 그리고 긴 수명 등 유리한 특성을 제공한다. LED는 전기 신호를 광신호로 변환시킴으로써 광통신 실내 무선 광 조명실뿐만 아니라, 무선 광 통신 시스템에도 사용되는 전자 소자이다. 현재 이러한 백색 LED에 대해서 다양한 연구가 진행 중이며, 본 논문에서는 이러한 백색 LED를 이용한 VLC(Visible Light Communication:가시광통신)의 다중 접속 방식을 논의한다. 제안된 시스템에서는 현 VLC 시스템의 간섭을 줄이고, 수용량을 늘리기 위해 CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access:코드 분할 다중 접속)를 VLC시스템에 적용한다. 또한 AWGN(Additive White Gaussian Noise) 채널과 Diffuse 채널에서의 OOK(On-off keying) 변조와 BPSK 변조를 사용한 VLC-CDMA통신 시스템을 비교해봄으로써 OOK 변조의 우수성을 결과의 분석을 통하여 나타내었다. 그리고 다중경로환경에서와 AWGN환경에서의 BER을 비교함으로써 다중경로에 의한 간섭의 해결의 중요성을 검토한다. 다중 접속 방식으로 인한 ISI(Inter Symbol Interference)를 제거하여 시스템의 효율을 높이기 위해 Directed LOS(Line Of Sight)와 Diffuse Link를 가정하여 광 확산 코드인 OOC(Optical Orthogonal Code: 광 직교 코드)를 적용한 VLC-CDMA를 제안하고, 성능 분석을 제시한다.

MATHIEU GROUP COVERINGS AND GOLAY CODES

  • We associate binary codes to polynomials over fields of characteristic two and show that the binary Golay codes are associated to the Mathieu group polynomials in characteristics two. We give two more polynomials whose Galois group in $M_{12}$ but different self-orthogonal binary codes are associated. Also, we find a family of $M_{24}$-coverings which includes previous ones.

  • In order to analyze stamping processes and to select optimum material properties of sheet steels for customer lines, 3-dimensional finite element analysis software were used. Commercial explicit finite element code, PAM-STAMP, was able to simulate 3-dimensional press formed parts with good accuracy and gave some useful results by orthogonal array experiments. Deformation of draw-bead were predicted by ABAQUS accurately, so that material selection for those parts by simulation were possible.

  • Let p, ${\ell}$ be distinct odd primes, q be an odd prime power with gcd(q, p) = gcd(q,${\ell}$) = 1, and m, n be positive integers. In this paper, we determine all self-dual, self-orthogonal and complementary-dual negacyclic codes of length $2p^{n{\ell}m}$ over the finite field ${\mathbb{F}}_q$ with q elements. We also illustrate our results with some examples.

  • In the design of column, computation of effective length factor for calculation of allowable compressive stress is inevitable. In this study. computer code which automatically generates effective length factor in the finite element analysis is developed. The program is developed to be used for orthogonal and nonorthogonal frame structure. Some i1lustrative examples verify that the computation results we correct for various cases.

  • 최근 로봇에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되면서 로봇이 움직이면서 필요한 거리정보를 얻기 위한 여러 가지 3D Sensing 알고리즘이 제시되었다. 그 중 하나인 HOC(hierarchical orthogonal code) 알고리즘 이용하면서 실시간성 및 모듈화를 위해 CIS(CMOS Image Sensor), FPGA 를 이용하여 구현 하였다.

  • We propose a new bandwidth-efficient technique that achieves high data rates over a wideband wireless channel. This new scheme is targeted for a multiple-input multiple- output orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (MIMO-OFDM) system that achieves transmit diversity through a space frequency block code and capacity enhancement through the iterative joint processing of zero-forcing detection and maximum a posteriori (MAP) decoding. Furthermore, the proposed scheme is compared to the coded Bell Labs Layered Space-Time OFDM (BLAST-OFDM) scheme.

A Differential SFBC-OFDM for a DMB System with Multiple Antennas

  • A differential space-frequency block code - orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (SFBC-OFDM) scheme as a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) transmission technique for next-generation digital multimedia broadcasting (DMB) is proposed in this paper. A linear decoding method for differential SFBC, which performs comparably to the ML decoding method, is derived for the cases of two or four transmit antennas. A simple table lookup method is proposed to improve the efficiency of the encoding/decoding process of DSFBC for the case of non-constant modulus constellations. A DMB MIMO channel model, developed by extending the 3GPP MIMO model to fit DMB environments, is used to compare BER performances of differential space block code schemes for various channel environments. Simulation results show that the differential SFBC-16QAM scheme using either four transmit antennas with one receive antenna or two transmit antennas with two receive antennas achieves a performance gain of 12dB than that of the conventional DQPSK scheme, even with a data rate twice faster.

PRIMITIVE IDEMPOTENTS IN THE RING F4[x]/〈xpn-1〉 AND CYCLOTOMIC Q CODES

  • The parity of cyclotomic numbers of order 2, 4 and 6 associated with 4-cyclotomic cosets modulo an odd prime p are obtained. Hence the explicit expressions of primitive idempotents of minimal cyclic codes of length $p^n$, $n{\geq}1$ over the quaternary field $F_4$ are obtained. These codes are observed to be subcodes of Q codes of length $p^n$. Some orthogonal properties of these subcodes are discussed. The minimal cyclic codes of length 17 and 43 are also discussed and it is observed that the minimal cyclic codes of length 17 are two weight codes. Further, it is shown that a Q code of prime length is always cyclotomic like a binary duadic code and it seems that there are infinitely many prime lengths for which cyclotomic Q codes of order 6 exist.

  • In this paper, performance of a turbo-coded PLC system is analyzed and simulated in a power line communication channel. Since the power line communication system typically operates in a hostile environment, turbo code has been employed to enhance reliability of transmitted data. The performance is evaluated in terms of bit error probability. As turbo decoding algorithms, Max-Log-MAP algorithms are chosen and performances are compared. The results in this paper can be applied to OFDM-based high-speed power line communication systems
