The policies of oriental medicine, changes of medical systems, development of oriental medical education and research activities of oriental medicine were reviewed in this paper from 1945 to 1995 and several opinions were suggested to relevant government authorities and doctors of oriental and western medicine. The history of oriental medicine had to come a long and winding road since the Political Reform in 1894. However, national effort of oriental medicine people in Korea has kept the oriental medicine as national medicine. It has been a misfortune that oriental and western medical doctors did not get along well each other. In this paper, the right direction of the medical systems for government were suggested together with timely roles of medical doctors of both oriental and western medicine. 1. Government should carry out reasonable and future-oriented medical systems. 2. Medical doctors of both oriental and western medicine should co-operate and try to promote mutual understanding. 3. Oriental medicine should be lectured in western medical college. 4. Medical researches of both oriental and western medicine should be carried out together.

Paper Submission and Examination Management System established by Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine(KIOM) provided a momentum for the sub-societies of Korean Oriental Medical Society(KOMS) to standardize the process of publishing a journal of papers. Also, the system helped a researcher to reduce time-consuming and to increase their research efficiency. Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine(KIOM) is planning to optimize this system reflecting the current conditions of KOMS through its steady updates.

Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to report the effect of oriental medicine to unexplained secondary infertility. Methods: The patient was 40 years-old female whose case was diagnosed as unexplained secondary infertility. On purpose to pregnant, she had being treated with IVF(in vitro fertilization) and oriental medicine at once. But she had failed IVF in twice, who was treated with oriental medicine only constantly. Results: On course of failing IVF again, the patient was treated with Oriental medicine constantly. After she had stopped IVF who was treated only oriental medicine. And she became pregnant. Conclusion: According to this result, we concluded that oriental medicine could improve fertility rate. After this paper, futher study and clinical approach based on oriental medicine will be needed about unexplained infertility.

This paper reviews the historic origin and traits of the classification system used in current Korean herbology textbooks. By reassessing its value, it proposes the most relevant path for future revisions and supplementations. Through an evaluation of the history of the modern style of classification in terms of its efficacy and statistic analysis of the distribution of individual herbs in each category, this paper shows how the classification systems of Korean herbology textbooks were influenced by contemporary Chinese herbology, particularly that of the Cheong [淸] Dynasty. An examination of the academic background, strengths and weaknesses of each classification system demonstrates the need for future research on classification systems to concentrate on resolving the following issues: how well the setting and composition of each classification system reflects reality, and how closely it is connected to related sciences such as etiology and pathogenesis, prescriptionology, and diagnosis.

This study is concerned with the patentability and protection of intellectual property rights in Traditional Korea Medicine Paper. The results analyzed significance of patentability by investigated for many kinds of Traditional Korea Medicine Paper. It provide extension of intellectual property rights protection and further research region of TKM field by analysing information of patentability. Recently, In the protection of intellectual property rights, the importance of traditional knowledge resource in many country is increased. It will predict the number of apply for the patent increased annually This study will be provide judging guideline and strategy of intellectual property rights protection by search to detect all existing similar patents in Patent Office (Korea, Japan, U.S.A. EPO) about Traditional Korea Medicine Paper. As a result, It can not be investigated about 33% because of paper research or theoretical study or question investigation etc. But the case of 'The Korea Association of Herbology' and 'The Korean Oriental Medical Ophthalmology & Otolaryngology & Dematology Society' have about 10% rate. If it will be constructed DB system, they will be protected by national treatment.

The fusion research subjects of Oriental medicine and Information-Technology are actively advanced. These researches provide Oriental medicine the objectivity and support the infra to all study area of Oriental medicine. This paper considers the inside and outside of the country technical development trend of ontology research by analyzing papers and going through case study. It executed information analysis about changes to number of research papers, present state and star higher officer of research facility from the dissertation which it sees. It is known that our country research result is slight so far in quantity and quality as result of analysis. But hereafter it contains many developmental possibilities. Also it reflects the appearance and a growth of new field like bio-informatics biology. In the area of medicine, ontology used to define the terminology for information documentation and the medical terms linked up by high correlation. Also medical information system developed briskly using ontology technology. The ontology of traditional korean medicine play an important role in base infra of traditional korean medicine EHR(Electronic health record).

Purpose : The purpose of this paper is to report the effect of oriental medicine to primary infertility caused by polycystic ovarian syndrome. Methods : The patient in this case, 29 years-old female was treated with oriental treatment for 3 month. Before oriental treatment, she had been diagnosed as primary infertility caused by polycystic ovarian syndrome and treated medication and injection for IUI(intrauterine insemination) in 4 times. But she had failed in gestation. Results : After lasting oriental treatments, she became pregnant. Conclusion : According to this result, we concluded the oriental medicine could improve fertility rate. After this paper, further study and clinical approach based on oriental medicine will be needed about infertility caused by polycystic ovarian syndrome.

The oriental medicine has played the basic roles in national bealth care system in Korea. but the oriental medicine is excluded from medical system in some part. This paper examines the oriental medical needs to the impatients who met with the industrial accident. The results show that the impatients have a relatively positive recognition of oriental medicine.

Personnel who had contributed Medical development in history are classified into four types in this paper. The first, it is personnel that studied the medicine or treated a patient like doctors, medical researchers, physicians, nurses, etc.. The second, it is personnel that made law or systems about medicine or published the medical books. The third, it is personnel that received the medical treatment like patients or their protectors. The last, it is personnel that are teachers, students, friends, and relatives of people above mentioned. The studies of medical personnel in history are important. Those are more effective and easier informations than medicine itself. This paper is the study on medical personnel about HyangYak medicine that soley made from HyangYak(鄕藥) and that of classifying the informations about these persons.

In this study, we tried a study on a direction of the field of oriental medicine on accepting complementary alternative medicine by analyzing the related thesis, journals and papers on the complementary alternative medicine published in the field of oriental medicine. As the result of analyzing the present study of the field of oriental medicine on the complementary alternative medicine, there have been 22 studies on the complementary alternative medicine. Thesis, papers were mainly experimental papers about the bee venom therapy, energy therapy, fasting therapy, and colon therapy, and the journals were actively studied in order of clinical paper, experimental paper, and reference paper about the bee venom therapy, energy therapy, and reflexolgy. The acceptance of complementary alternative medicine by the field of oriental medicine through a scientific relation should be conducted more systemically by setting the main academy taking charge of the study on common characteristics of the complementary alternative medicines on the classification of NCCAM as well as the related academies taking charge of the study on the unique characteristic of each complementary alternative medicine. First, additional studies are needed to make the most of characteristics of each complementary alternative medicine through the main academy and the related academies, and for the next, additional studies are necessary to complement the research trend on each complementary alternative medicine through the main academy and related academies.
