  • Human factors is a key issue in the maritime industry including ship design and navigation safety. Human factors for ship design is to optimize safety and convenience of crews and passengers. And human factors for navigation safety is to minimize marine accident occurrence by human and organizational error. There are several technical requirements to incorporate human factors and marine system Risk analysis. human behaviour analysis and human M&S(modeling and simulation) are examples of technical requirements. This paper provides the key issues and technologies of human factors for ship design and navigation safety.

  • Marketing is a topic of growing interest to nonprofit organizational managers(for example, hospitals, museums, charities and, churches, universities and colleges) as their organizations confront new, complex marketplace problems. These organization heads(specially in university and college) are laking their first, tentative steps toward marketing, often confusing it with its advertising and selling subfunctions. A genuine marketing response has been undertaken by a relatively small number of college in america. Their approach is best described as market-oriented institutional planning. In these approach, marketing is recognized as much more then mere promotion, and indeed, the issue of promotion cannot be settled in principles until more fundamental issues are resolved. According to market-oriented institutional planning customer satisfaction is one of the most important concept in university(college) marketing. Therefore, this study reviews literatures about university(college) marketing and general customer satisfaction. The literature study suggests some research hypotheses about customer satisfaction in college. Next, these hypotheses are tested empirically using ${\chi}^2-test$, multiple linear regression analysis and t-test. The research results worth explorative study on the customer satisfaction in the college.

부품공급업체의 JIT 전략 촉진을 위한 유인환경에 관한 연구 (Incentive Factors Critical to the JIT Implementation for Part Suppliers)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify critical factors facilitating JIT innovation process for Korean component manufacturers. In order to find the answers to this issue, this study has empirically studied the corelations among JIT innovation culture, competitiveness, and incentive factors. Cluster, ANOVA, and regression analyses were performed from 92 collected survey data. It has found that Korean component manufacturers strongly rely on their inner JIT innovation culture to improve competitiveness. It has also found that the organizational resource and managerial priority should be focused on establishing clear goals and objectives for improvement, and creating open atmosphere with respect to operational process.

  • This study examines the competitive strategy of service quality in financial industry. Service quality has been suggested as the approach for service organizations to be service and customer oriented. Recently, the issue of internal service quality has been one of topics widely discussed in financial industry. The purpose of the current study is to examine the internal service quality which is believed to increase such organizational performances as customer satisfaction, retention and revenue. Internal service quality index is used to measure service quality in service industry. In this paper, the methodology for measuring the degree of service quality which has been adopted in service quality research area was used. This paper proposes internal service quality index in financial industry. In this paper, we show the application method of internal service quality index.

과학기술분야 서지 DB의 품질관리 및 평가 방안: KORDIC의 KRISTAL DB를 중심으로 (Methods for Quality Control and Evaluation in the Scientific and Technical Bibliographic Databases)

  • 이 연구는 국내 과학기술계에서 구축하고 있는 서지 DB의 품질 문제를 다루고 있다. 구체적으로, 과학기술분야의 중추적인 정보유통기관인 KORDIC이 1990년대 초부터 구축해 오고 있는 KRISTAL DB 중에서 핵심이라 할 수 있는 UNION DB와 SATURN DB를 선정하여 그 품질을 평가하고 개선방안을 제시한다. 특히, UNION DB와 SATURN DB의 품질 평가를 위한 접근 방식에서, 기존의 시스템개발자 중심의 논리를 배격하고 이용자 중심의 평가 기준을 제시함으로써 '정보시스템의 설계 및 평가'에 있어서 이용자의 중요성을 강조한다.

  • In present, RCM has been hot issue in the domestic railway industry areas. Based on this circumstance, in this paper, for the purpose of an effective RCM system construction, a suitable organization structures which are to be applied to the railway system is proposed. Some examples and descriptions about the responsibilities and the roles which should be done by each RCM team, during the RCM analysis, as step by step for RCM analysis are also described. By using the formalized organization, the tasks for maintenance are allocated to each staff and the data for RCM analysis could be managed, systematically, as well. To sum up, it would be expected that based on the systematic organization structure for RCM analysis, the results of RCM analysis, that mean the maintenance methods and intervals for preventive maintenance, on specific railway system could be more reliable and accurate.

Workplace Employees' Annual Physical Checkup and During Hire on the Job to Increase Health-care Awareness Perception to Prevent Disease Risk: A Work for Policy-Implementable Option Globally

  • Background: Increasing workplace health-care perception has become a major issue in the world. Most of the health-related problems are faced because of the lack of health management instruments. The level of health care can be improved through workplace health well-being regulations. The aim of the present study is to formulate a conceptual model of physical checkup. Methods: This study applied conceptual theories and figures and used secondary data from articles and relevant websites for evaluating the validity of the study. Results: Annual health checkup increases health-care awareness perception of states, organizations, employees, and their families and manages the annual health record of employees, organizations, and states. Conclusions: Health care and awareness perception of states, organizations, employees, and families improves with annual health checkup, and annual health checkup also prevents unhealthy acts.

Influence of Emotional Intelligence, Communication, and Organizational Commitment on Nursing Productivity among Korean Nurses

  • Purpose: Improving productivity in nursing practice is an important issue. This study investigated factors affecting nursing productivity of Korean clinical nurses. Methods: A structured survey tool was used in a cross-sectional design with a convenience sample of 239 nurses working in university hospitals. Stepwise multiple regressions were done to identify influential factors. Results: The level of nursing productivity was at a moderate level (3.3 out of 5). Those nurses who were over 36, married, over master-graduated, regularly employed, on day duty, and with experiences as a charge or head nurse reported better achievements in nursing productivity than the other groups of nurses. All three independent variables, age, and employment status explained 55.4% of the variance in nursing productivity. Conclusion: The leaders and managers of nursing organizations should develop educational programs aimed at increasing nurses' competencies in relation to emotion controls and communication skills, which consequently should improve nursing productivity.

Effects of Childcare Teacher's Perception of Organizational Justice, Collectivism and Job Burnout on Turnover Intention

  • This study is focused on the factors that reduce the high turnover rate of early childhood teachers against the backdrop of their poor work environment including long hours, work overload and low wage by identifying the effects of three sub-factors of justice on the collectivistic tendency and those of the job burnout on their turnover intention. To conduct this study, a survey was carried out childcare teachers of the Seoul and Metropolitan Area. Total of 283 valid female questionnaires were collected and utilized for analysis. According to the analysis, both procedural justice and interpersonal justice have positive effects on the collectivistic tendency and decrease the turnover intention. The interpersonal justice decreases the job burnout, whereas the distributive justice statistically significantly increases the job burnout. Also, the collectivistic tendency reduces the turnover intention. The job burnout increases the turnover intention, which is consistent with previous studies. Hence, increasing the interpersonal justice and the collectivistic tendency could be an option for dealing with the issue.

  • 지식사회, 지식경제의 등장과 더불어 기업의 자원으로서 지식(knowledge)의 중요성이 부각됨에 따라 마케팅 전략의 한 분야로서의 신제품 전략에서도 신제품 개발과정에 있어 기업(혹은 신제품 개발 팀)의 지식과 지식의 활용 능력을 어떻게 확장할 것인가가 중요한 전략적 이슈(issue)가 된다. 신제품 개발 과정에서는 필연적으로 불확실성-시장 불확실성과 기술 불확실성-이 존재하며 불확실성을 해소하기 위하여 정보와 지식의 중요성이 부각되고 기업내의 다양한 조직-특히 R&D, 생산, 마케팅-과의 지식공유·통합과정이 중요시된다. 이에 따라 본 연구는 첫째, 기업이 가지고 있는 지식을 제품으로 구체화하는 과정이 신제품 개발(New Product Development; NPD)과정이며 구체화 과정에서 개발의 효율성과 효과성을 어떻게 달성할 것인가에 관한 문제를 다루고자 한다. 둘째, 기존의 신제품 성과 요인으로 제시되고 있는 많은 요인들을 '지식역량(knowledge competence)'의 개념으로 정리하고 이러한 지식 역량과 신제품 경쟁우위 간의 인과적 관계를 살펴봄으로써 신제품 경쟁우위에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가에 대한 분석을 하고자 한다. 셋째 신제품 개발조직의 지식역량을 향상시키기 위한 전략적 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 이론적 배경으로 기업을 지식의 결집체로 인식하고 있는 지식거점관점(knowledge based perspective)과 이러한 지식자원의 활용에 초점을 맞춘 조직학습(organizational learning) 이론 그리고 심리학에서 다루고 있는 분산된 인지이론(distributed cognition theory)을 활용한다.
