제주지역 학교급식 관리자의 조직문화 및 조직몰입에 따른 직무만족도 분석 (Analysis of School Foodservice Managers' Job Satisfaction by Organizational Culture and Commitment in Jeju)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the job satisfaction of foodservice managers at schools in Jeju, Korea, according to the organizational culture and commitment of the school foodservice and administrative departments. The subjects included 144 (98.6%) dieticians from Jeju schools. The data were analyzed by descriptive analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis, ttests, ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation coefficients, using the SPSS Win 12.0 program. In terms of organizational culture, the dieticians perceived the 'human relations model' and 'internal process model' as the strongest types for the school foodservice departments and administrative departments, respectively. However, for both types, a gap existed between the organizational culture that was perceived and that which was expected. In particular, the subjects expected that the 'human relations model' and 'open systems model' were the most important organizational culture types. In terms of the subjects' organizational commitment scores, loyalty and pride scored highest whereas unity scored lowest. For the level of job satisfaction, the performed work itself scored highest and was deemed most important. Additionally, organizational culture was positively correlated to the factors affecting organizational commitment and job satisfaction. Finally, the surveyed managers had high demands for a human relations-oriented organizational culture to enhance job satisfaction.

Localized Knowledge Spillovers and Organizational Capabilities: Evidence from the Canadian Manufacturing Sector

  • Purpose - This study empirically investigates how the effects of localized knowledge spillovers on technology adoption are conditional on the organizational capabilities of potential adopters. Design/methodology - The empirical model utilized in this study examines how the presence of prior adopters of advanced manufacturing technologies affects a plant's technology adoption decision differently based on its organizational capabilities, measured by plant size and plant status (single-plant firm vs. multi-plant firm). Moreover, this study investigates how the scope of knowledge spillovers from prior adopters, both in terms of geographical and functional proximities, differ for plants with different organizational capabilities. Findings - The main findings of this study are as follows: 1. Although plants with lower organizational capabilities are less likely to adopt advanced technologies, such plants receive greater marginal benefits from knowledge spillovers from prior adopters in their region. 2. Plants with greater organizational capabilities can benefit from knowledge spillovers from a wider set of prior adopters. In other words, while plants with lower organizational capabilities tend to benefit from knowledge spillovers from "similar" and "local" adopters, plants with greater organizational capabilities can also benefit from knowledge spillovers from "not-too-similar" or are geographically distant prior adopters. Originality/value - While existing studies mainly focus on the effects of the various kinds of regional agglomeration, few studies investigate localized knowledge spillovers in technology adoption. Moreover, no prior studies have explored how the effects of knowledge spillovers on technology adoption depend on a plant's organizational capabilities and how the scope of knowledge spillovers differs for plants with different organizational capabilities. This study is the first to empirically investigate this topic.

병원근로자의 조직시민행동과 조직효과성 관계 연구 (The Organizational Citizenship Behavior and Organizational Effectiveness of Hospital Employees)

  • Background: The organizational citizenship behavior is generally known as the important factor relevant to the organizational effectiveness. This research examined the mediating effect of the organizational citizenship behavior of hospital employees on the organizational effectiveness. Methods: Data were collected from 1,112 employees located in city of Seoul, Kyunggi and Chungnam province through self-administered questionnaires. Collected data were analyzed using IBM SPSS ver. 20.0, frequency analysis, t-test, analysis of variance, regression analysis, and path analysis. The main findings of the study are as follows. Results: First, it was found that many characteristics variables of personality, job, and relationship together affected organizational citizenship behavior of hospital employees. Especially, the following variables of negative affectivity, desire for growth, job value, job significance, and job security were found to have significant effect on the organizational citizenship behavior of hospital employees. Second, the results of path analysis showed that, through the mediating effect of organizational citizenship behavior, personality variables of positive and negative affectivity, and desire for growth, job characteristics variables of job value, job significance, and job security, and relationship variables of organizational support and task interdependence, had significant total effects on the level of job satisfaction of hospital employees. Conclusion: As a result, the organizational citizenship behavior seems to have both direct and indirect effects on the organizational effectiveness of hospital employees. Based on above findings, some theoretical and practical implications were discussed.

일개 병원의 조직문화와 인적자원관리 활동 및 조직성과에 관한 연구 (The Relationship of Organizational Culture, Human resource management Practices and Organizational Performance at a General Hospital.)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between organizational culture based on the competing values approach, human resource management practices and organizational performance at a hospital. Participants were 138 employee in a general hospital. Data were collected during May, 2003 using four structured instruments. The data were analyzed using Chi-square test, One-way ANOVA, $scheff{\acute{e}}$ test and Cluster analysis. Three clusters were derived from cluster analysis. The first cluster consisted of cultures which were mixed developmental, consensual, hierarchial and rational culture equivalently. The second cluster consisted of the weak cultures, which was lower score than other clusters. The third cluster consisted of strong comprehensive cultures, which had higher score than other clusters. In the three clusters, hierarchial and rational culture were superior. The difference between human resource management practices and organizational commitment in organizational performance according to organizational culture clusters was found to be statistically significant. The cluster which had strong comprehensive cultures, in contrast to other clusters, more significantly affects on human resource management practices and organizational commitment. However, the strength of organizational culture does not have a significant effect on customer oriented service performance in organizational performance. These results showed that types of organizational culture were significantly related to human resource management practices and organizational commitment, and understanding the existing culture is essential to develop the organization of hospitals.

  • 이 논문의 목적은 통합적 문헌연구를 통해 경력만족의 선행변인으로서의 조직공정성(분배공정성, 절차공정성, 상호작용공정성)에 관해서 고찰하는 것이다. 또한 이 연구는 경력개발을 위한 조직지원(조직의 스폰서십)이 조직공정성과 경력만족의 관계에서 잠재적인 매개변수로서 기능할 수 있는지를 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 선행 연구들에 관한 통합적 문헌조사에 기초하여, 이 연구는 조직공정성과 경력만족과의 관계를 경력개발을 위한 조직지원과 더불어 개념적 모델로서 제시하였다. 이러한 개념적 모델에 의하면 조직공정성은 경력만족의 주요한 선행변인의 하나로 포함될 수 있으며, 경력개발을 위한 조직지원은 조직공정성과 경력만족의 관계를 매개하는 변수로서 기능할 수 있다. 이 연구는 직장 내 경력개발의 맥락에서 조직공정성과 경력만족과의 관계를 규명함으로써 인적자원개발 분야에 기여한다. 나아가 이 연구는, 경력만족에 영향을 줄 수 있는 잠재적인 매개변수들과 같이, 조직공정성과 관련된 다양한 요인에 관한 연구를 수행하기 위한 추가적인 이론적 기초를 제공해 준다고 할 수 있다.

경찰 조직건강 진단지표에 관한 시론적 논의 (A Study on the Police Organizational Health Diagnosis Index Development)

  • 조직 건강성(organizational health)이란 조직의 기능수행능력이나 최적의 기능수행 상태를 나타낸다. 조직건강은 대인관계나 집단행동과 같은 조직학적 측면에서 뿐만 아니라 사회과학 전반에 걸쳐 중요하게 다루어져야 할 주제임에도 불구하고, 경찰조직을 대상으로 한 조직건강진단 지표 및 측정에 대한 연구는 전무한 실정이다. 따라서 이 연구에서는 결찰 조직건강 진단에 관한 시론으로 국내 외 문헌과 연구결과를 바탕으로 하여 조직이론에 나타난 조직건강에 관한 여러 학자들의 견해를 토대로 선행연구들의 분석을 통하여 조직건강의 개념, 측정지표를 설계하고자 하였다. 이 연구에서는 경찰조직 건강진단 지표를 조직행태(조직구조, 조직문화, 조직분위기, 환경적합성, 변혁적 리더십, 의사소통 및 의사결정방식), 집단행태(구성원 관리방식, 갈등관리방식, 집단결합력, 비전 및 전략, 공동체지향 및 책임공유), 개인행태(직무동기, 업무 관련요인, 신뢰, 활력, 조직냉소주의)로 구분하여 경찰 조직건강 진단지표를 설계하였다.

일 종합병원 간호사의 지각된 간호조직특성과 직무만족 (Nursing Organizational Characteristics and Job Satisfaction of Nurses in a general hospital)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between the nursing organizational characteristics and job satisfaction. Subjects were 362 nurses at a general hospital in Seoul. Data were collected from November 1, 1999 to November 31, 1999 with the structured questionnaires and analyzed by $SPSS-PC^+$ 8.0 for descriptive statistics, ANOVA, Pearson correlation, and stepwise multiple regression. The results were as follows; 1. The average score of the nursing organizational characteristics was 3.7. The score of head nurse's leadership was highest and supervisor's was lowest. The average score of the job satisfaction was 3.1 and was similar to the results of other studies. 2. Being regarded to the nursing organizational characteristics and job satisfaction by general demographic variables, The head nurse's leadership, the supervisor's leadership and interaction, and the overall nursing organizational characteristics showed significant differences by year of career, position status, and service-department(p<.1, p<.05). The job satisfaction showed significant difference by position status(p<.01). 3. There were correlations between the nursing organizational characteristics and job satisfaction(r=0.358-0.815). 4. The most important variable in the job satisfaction was 'organizational climate' and it was explained 32.0% out of the total variance of job satisfaction and 'all of nursing organizational characteristic factors' explained 47.5%. According to the results of this study, the suggestions were as follow: 1. To improve nurses' job satisfaction, the strategy for the development of the cooperative nursing organizational climate and for the strengthening of 'the nursing manager's leadership and interaction' in the nursing department are necessary. It should to be considered the differences in the nursing organizational characteristics and job satisfaction by nursing manager and staff nurses. 2. Further study needed to analysis the organizational climate for the management of the nursing organization. Also it is necessary for further investigation regarding to the relationship between the nursing organizational characteristics and job satisfaction of pre and post-organizational change.

일개 신설종합병원 구성원의 조직문화인식이 조직유효성에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of the Perception of Organizational Culture of Employees on Organizational Effectiveness in a Newly Established General Hospital)

  • Purposes: This study was to analyze the effects of organizational culture attributes on organizational effectiveness in newly established general hospital. Method: For this purpose, this study sampled 981 hospital employees working for E hospital opened on Apr. 1, 2019 in Seoul. A total of 981 questionnaires were distributed to them, and 888 ones responded to the survey, which had been conducted from Oct. 17, through Oct. 25, 2019. 793 responses were used for the final analysis. The data collected were processed using the SPSS 19.0K for descriptive statistics, T-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient and regression analysis. Findings: First, The type of organizational culture perceived most by hospital employees was 'hierarchy-oriented' (3.53) followed by 'relation-oriented'(3.33), 'task-oriented'(3.23), 'innovation-oriented'(3.19) and job satisfaction scored 3.13, organizational commitment scored 3.28 on their order. Second, 'Relation-oriented', 'task-oriented' and 'innovation-oriented' was positively correlated with job satisfaction and organizational commitment. hierarchy-oriented' was negatively correlated with job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Third, Factors that significantly influencing on organizational effectiveness in a newly established general hospital were as follows. Factors influencing job satisfaction included 'innovation-oriented', 'relation-oriented' and factors influencing organizational commitment included 'relation-oriented', 'innovation-oriented' and age. Practical Implications: In order to increase the organizational effectiveness of the E-General Hospital, it is necessary to gradually move from a hierarchica l-oriented culture to an innovation-oriented and relationship-oriented culture. Since age also affects organizational commitment, it is necessary to promote stability and growth by promoting the mentor-menti system for new members with a low level of experience and experience.

병원 조직문화 및 조직몰입과 조직시민행동 간의 관계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Relationship between Organizational Culture, Organizational Commitment and Organization Citizenship Behavior in hospitals)

  • D. W. Organ(1977) published a paper about the importance of Organizational Citizenship Behavior(OCB) in an organization. Since then, the studies of OCB have been continuously increased. As recent business environment has changed with rapidity and uncertainty, OCB for the improvement performance of organization should be more emphasized. Role behaviors of organization are divided into two parts such as in-role behavior and extra-role behavior. In recent, although the researches about extra-role behavior have been studied, they are still not sufficient. This study attempted to examine relationships between organizational culture, organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior, Sample was 193 employee engaged in hospitals of Pusan. In this study I chose four factor(affective, conservative, task and innovative culture) of organizational culture and three factors (affective, continuous and normative commitment) of organizational commitment and five factors(altruism, conscientiousness, courtesy, civic virtue and sportsmanship) with regard to organization citizenship behavior. The major findings of the empirical research are as follows ; 1. The Causal relation of dimensions of organizational culture and dimensions of OCB. 1) Affective culture has significant impact on courtesy, civic virtue of OCB. 2) Conservative culture has no significant impact on all of OCB. 3) Task culture has significant impact on conscientiousness, civic virtue, sportsmanship of OCB. 4) Innovative culture has no significant impact on courtesy, civic virtue of OCB. 2. The Causal relation of dimensions of organizational commitment and dimensions of OCB. 1) Affective commitment has significant impact on all of OCB. 2) Continuous commitment has no significant impact on all of OCB. 3) Normative commitment has significant impact on courtesy, civic virtue of OCB. In brief, though this study has several limitations in research design and methods, the results suggest that organizational culture of hospitals and organizational comitment of hospitals shows a strong relationship to the organization citizenship behavior.

생활체육 동호인의 여가활동 참가정도와 조직동일시 및 조직몰입의 관계: 자전거 동호인을 중심으로 (Relationship between the Degree of Participation in Leisure Activity, Organizational Identification and Organizational Commitment: With Emphasis on Bicycle Riding Club Members)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 생활체육 동호인의 여가활동 참가정도와 조직동일시 및 조직몰입의 관계를 밝히는데 있다. 이를 위해 서울시 거주 자전거 동호인을 모집단으로 설정하고 목적표집법을 이용하여 265명의 표본을 추출하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 18.0 통계 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였으며 도출된 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 배경변인에 따라 자전거 라이딩 참가정도와 조직동일시 및 조직몰입에 부분적으로 차이가 있었다. 둘째, 배경변인 중 연령과 소득은 참가정도와 조직동일시 및 조직몰입에 부분적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 참가정도는 조직동일시를 통하여 직 간접적으로 조직몰입에 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 이상의 연구결과의 영향력으로 볼 때, 자전거 동호인들의 조직동일시와 조직몰입을 설명하는데 연령이나 소득과 같은 배경변인이 상당히 큰 영향을 미치고 있다는 사실을 알 수 있다.
