  • In this study, rainfall water outlet water quality monitoring was performed on the C industrial complex to evaluate the characteristics of non-point pollutant runoff from the industrial complex during rainfall and to use it as basic data for calculating the load and unit of non-point pollutant. As a result of the IETD analysis, it was selected as a representative rainfall event for simulating non-point pollutants when the rainfall duration was about 21 hours and the rainfall was 26.44mm. Also as a result of monitoring the flow and water quality survey, the first rainfall was 12.2 mm, the rainfall duration was 12 hr, the number of preceding dry days was 3 days, the second rainfall was 22.1 mm, the rainfall duration was 12 hr, and the number of preceding dry days was 7 days.

  • In this study, a mono-chelated compound as novel blue light emitting material, $BPh_2$(pbi) (pbi = 2-(2-Pyridyl)benzimidazole) was synthesized Organic light emitting Diodes (OLEDs), which has a ITO/NPB(40 nm)/Boron(30 nm)/$Alq_3$(1 nm)/Liq(3 nm)/Al(150 nm) structure, has been fabricated. The maximum brightness of the device is up to about 900 cd/$m^2$ and 0.54 cd/A at 11.5 V. The EL peaks and CIE coordinates of our OLEDs is 457 nm and (0.26, 0.29), respectively.

  • Organic aerosols dispersed in the atmosphere likely undergo phase separation. Such internally mixed particles are often described as comprising an organic phase and an aqueous phase separately. We studied the morphology of two liquid separated aerosols in the sub-microscale by using a simple thermodynamic model with Russian doll geometry. The morphology of particles can be easily predicted from the simple criteria on the surface tension and two algebraic equations (the volume constraint and Young equation). This result may give the potential explanation about the complex morphology of the organic airborne particles.

  • The need to determine the permeability of organic vapors to polymeric films such as aromas, flavors, etc. has significantly increased in the food industry because of preservation and safety issues along with migration problems. However, due to the complex nature of the permeation process, there have been few investigations compared to nonorganic compounds. In this paper, we review the history of permeability studies and typical methods of permeability measurement such as the isostatic method and quasi-isostatic method for organic vapors. New instrumental developments and significant findings are also introduced and discussed.

  • In this study, the spatial and temporal distribution of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in an industrial shipbuilding complex was monitored, and the local characteristics estimated. The major VOC component measured at all of the sampling sites were almost the same as those found at an indoor painting facility, indicating that painting works conducted in the shipyards were a significant source of VOCs in the vicinity of shipbuilding areas. The main parameters affecting the VOCs distribution were the distance between the sampling site and painting work place, and the intensity of the painting works. A quite broad range of VOC concentrations were observed in all of the sampling sites, depending on the intensity of painting works in nearby areas suppressing the typical seasonal and temporal variation trends in VOCs observed in urban areas.

  • One of the key questions on star formation is how the organic molecules are synthesized and delivered to the planets and comets since they are the building blocks of prebiotic molecules such as amino acid, which is thought to contribute to bringing life on Earth. Recent astrochemical models and experiments have explained that complex organic molecules (COMs; molecules composed of six or more atoms) are produced on the dust grain mantles in cold and dense gas in prestellar cores. However, the chemical networks and the roles of physical conditions on chemistry are not still understood well. To address this question, hot (> 100 K) cores in high mass young stellar objects (M > 8 Msun) are great laboratories due to their strong emissions and larger samples than those of low-mass counterparts. In addition, CH3OH masers, which have been mostly found in high mass star forming regions, can provide constraints due to their very unique emerging mechanisms. We investigate twelve high mass star forming regions in ALMA band 6 observation. They are associated with 44/95 GHz Class I and 6.7 GHz Class II CH3OH masers, implying that the active accretion processes are ongoing. For these previously unresolved regions, 66 continuum peaks are detected. Among them, we found 28 cores emitting COMs and specified 10 cores associated with 6.7 GHz Class II CH3OH masers. The chemical diversity of COMs is found in cores in terms of richness and complexity; we identified up to 19 COMs including oxygen- and nitrogen-bearing molecules and their isotopologues in a core. Oxygen-bearing molecules appear to be abundant and more complex than nitrogen-bearing species. On the other hand, the COMs detection rate steeply grows with the gas column density, which can be attributed to the effective COMs formation in dense cores.

  • Attempting to make an economic valuation of semi-liquid manure raises various complex questions. These are the valuation under different farming conditions, cost-benefit analysis in connection with the investment requirements of different semi-liquid manure systems, different storage capacities, transportation distances and treatment procedures. In the following, there questions will be discussed : 1. What value do the different types of semi-liquid manure have under different farming conditions? 2. Which storage capacities are economically justified? 3. Under which conditions is the transport of semi-liquid manure over long distances profitable?

  • In this paper, a renovated approach in the fabrication of red organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) is described. The hard-to-control doping process required for dopant-based red OLEDs can be avoided due to the novel red fluorophores that are not concentration quenching in solid state. Doping is in general a must for phosphorescence OLEDs because of the triplet-triplet annihilation, a common problem for phosphorophore dopants. However, we have recently found that extraordinary red iridium complex showing relatively short emission lifetime render the non-doped phosphorescence red OLED possible.

  • Tetrathiocyanatocobaltate[II] forms complexes with tertiary amine salts or quarternary ammonium salts which were extractable from aqueous solution by organic solvent. In order to study composition of the complex, the colored crystalline complexes produced were evaluated with elemental analysis, infrared and mass spectra. And also a novel spectrophotometric method for the determination of tertiary amine salt or quarternary ammonium salt with tetrathiocyanatocobaltate[II] was established by organic solvent extraction within coefficient of variation of 1.06-1.35%.
