  • The world gross market of many kinds of electronics, such as TV and mobile phone has been increasing rapidly these days. It is mainly caused by the amazing developments of IT technology during past decade and the changes of individual life style for the better. Thanks to the increases of electronics manufactured in quantity, much more electronic components such as MLCC (multi layer ceramic capacitor) and PCB (printed circuit board), which are our main products, have been needed as a consequence. Though it was reported that total market of electronic components exceeds several hundreds of billion dollars, there are many manufactures struggling for survival in the competition of electronics components. Then the recognition of quality as a key technology has spread and the efforts for high-yield production lines have been kept in many companies. In this paper, our efforts to eliminate the contamination of particles and the diffusion of some volatile organic compounds which is very harmful to workers at production line have been introduced.

  • We must identify the forms of dress devised throughout ages, when we wtudy, interpret and analyze the numerous resource material of costume. The study which depends on reference to actual artifacts is necessarily limited. Whereas items of contemporary dress are readily available, much from earlier eras has been destroyed or has deteriorated through time. Such as cottons, linens, silks, wools, leathers and furs are perishable organic materials. Few garments dated earlier than seventeenth century has survived except armor, jewelry. We have many sources of the information are available to study on costume of earlier eras. These sources are wall paintings, sculptures, painting, monumental brasses, manuscript illustration ceramics, coins, medals, mosaics, archives, literature. Wall painting and frescoes provided an useful source for costume study. Many wall paintings and frescoes were destroyed, were changed in color. It si advisable to interpret the dress detail, form color carefully. Sculpture would be useful to see the back and side views of dress. One of the most important points which should be made abut the use of sculpture as a source for costume study in early periods is that the sculptor's style will often change the character of a costume. As the painting si two-dimensional evidence for a three-dimensional costume, paintings must be accurately studied. What we must do, as far as we can, is to look at all visual representations in the light of other contemporary evidence in order to interpret the information correctly.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the formative relationship between clothes and hat with the works by Philip Treacy, the designer who raised hats to one of important fashion accessories. The method to analyze the relationship between clothes and hats was the formative analysis by Marian L. Davis and Marilyn R. Delong. The results suggest that clothes and hat had an organic relationship, and a hat style was changed with formative elements of clothes. Clothes and hats by Philip Treacy were analysed in the aspects of Form, Color, Material, and Decoration. As a result, hats by Philip Treacy were mainly designed by the relationship between whole types without a closed line and showed geometric and formative forms, similarly harmonized with clothes. To highlight hats, the achromatic colors such as black and gray were used. Besides clothes and hats were coordinated by the same colors, but contrary colors were used to express a strong image. Felt or straw materials maily used to express a formative and fixed form were well matched with smooth, opaque, and lusterless materials such as wool. Also when transparent materials were used for hats, lace was used for clothes. A hat made of acrylic was matched with clothes made of glossy vinyl coating materials. Decoration was mainly removed but if used, feather decoration was added to clothes.

  • The effects of environmental agents on health are great concern for all. It was recognized that each human has differential susceptibility to environmental effects. Susceptibility are changed by many factors includin gdevelopmpntal processes, genetic factors, nutritional stratus, preexisting disease conditions, life style and personal habits. Of all factors nutritional factors seem to be the area most modifiable. Consequently, It is an area that must be more thoroughly evaluated. In this paper, nutrient and environment interactions are reviewed briefly with published literatures. This paper deals with the influence of micronutrients(energy, protein and fat), Vitamins (vitamin 4, vitamin B-complex, vitamin C, vitamin D and vitamin I) and Minerals(calcium, iron, selenium, zinc and other minerls) on environmental effects. The role of arch nutrient was assessed in modifyine the expression of environmental pollutant toxicity with available litertures. In each nutrient section, the effect of environment was considered in following agents : heavy metals(lead, cadmium, mercury, silver and etc), inorganic agents(nitwits, sulfite, fluoride and etc), organic agents(benzene, carbon tatra-chloride, aflatoxin, auto dye, dialbrin etc), Irritant gas(ozone, carbon monooxide and etc), physical agents(X-irradiation, ultra violet, temperature and noise) and insectcides. The extent to which nutritional status modifies environmental effects 3nd its converse, how envirollments affects nutritional status is very complex. In deed, at the present time there are more than 50 chelnical/phycical agents that affect the nutrient metabolism and/or have their toxicity either directly diminished or enhanced by nutrients of those agents, small number of agents for each nutrients have sufficient evidence to warrant any reasonable degree of confidence in their hypothesized associtation. With these information at this present time it is hard to conclude that the recommended dietary allowance for each nutrient should be reconsidered.

  • A Culture is not the fashion that can be changed and created lightly. However, a small number of people are creating and leading the fashion for the foundation of a culture. For example, the fashion in Tokyo spreads across the nation, the fashion in Europe, USA and all over the world are under the influence of Paris, California and New York. Now, we should think about - what is the our consideration to be a member of the minority? What is the today's trend and how will be the future environment of interior, exterior and furniture design? Which one is the measure of the value for leading the culture? The answers in the design area are the creating new value and health in various design styles - Minimal, Organic, Multiple, Natural, Intelligent Life Style. Also this analysis of these trend should be more necessary for the space and environment design area of future than the furniture design area.

  • This study intends to propose the fundamentals of 'Ecovillage' design by researching into the cycle system of material of 'Crystalwaters' which is having been in charge of a leading role of GEN since 1996 (GEN was formed in 1996) as Ecovillage in Australia. First, to secure the water resources, we can store up rain and the water of valley, and dam. Second, we are able to use the natural filter apparatus, do tree-planting of roof to gain better quality of water. Third, it is to save the energy as supplying water. For it, we make the best of a gravity that is one of the cycle principle of water. Forth, to build a Dam can make a site of scenic beauty, do the role of recreation place and provide against emergencies (a fire, drought) as well as make a mild climate. Fifth, it can reduce the environment load because of sewage and garbage as making it compost. This is possible by treating biologically using composting apparatus of the dry or wet process. Sixth, it is to reduce the environmental pollution as to discharge seperating a recycable waste, an organic matter being able to make it compost. Finally, first of all, environmentally friendly inhabitant consciousness from lifestyle and production style plays an importent part for water cycle and the ecological cycle of waste and sewage.

  • The structures, energetics and transfer integrals of the acene tetramers up to pentacene are investigated with the ab initio molecular orbital method at the level of second-order Møller-Plesset perturbation theory (MP2). Calculated geometries for the herringbone-style structures found in the crystal structure were characterized as local minima, however the geometrical discrepancy between crystal and MP2 theoretical structure is reasonably small. The binding energy of pentacene tetramer was calculated up to 40 kcal/mol (MP2/6-31G(d)) and about 90 kcal/mol (MP2/aug-cc-pVDZ), and the latter seems to be too much overestimated. The tendency of the hole transfer integrals computed with ab initio MP2/3-21G(d) geometry is well agreement with those estimated with crystal structure with some discrepancy, and the gradual increment of the transfer integrals at the crystal geometry is attributed to mainly packing structure rather than the intrinsic property of acene such as a size of acene.

  • The past concept of constructing houses was focused on how to overcome the limitation of consuming natural resources such as energy and materials, which increased the official cost and the environmental pollution. On the other hand, the echo-friendly concept has considered the harmony between human being and nature more critically and has applied the characteristics of natural environment into a unique dwelling design by developing constructs and materials adjusted to the particular climate, making them into a unit of impacting positively the complicated system. The current environmental issue is how a dwelling adapts into a given climate in which the design is applied by ecology without damaging the natural environment. In another word, the main issue in the twenty first century will be how we meet the human needs to dwellings applied by the residential environment. Therefore, we have to provide a hospitable place for residents' mental and physical health through "Green Design", emerging as the critical design of urban collective dwellings. Based on these conceptions, the purpose of this study is to suggest the way of designing the urban collective dwelling applied by ecology, proffering wealthy life style to residents with the preservation of natural environment as applying an ecological concept into the design of collective dwellings that represent a contemporary housing type for urban residents.

  • The consumption of KimChi, which Korean are a favorite food, has dramatically increased by changes of life style and waste as by-products in KimChi factory. This study was conducted to evaluate an effect of compost of caster oil cake (COC) mixed with waste from KimChi factory (KWF) and its growth effect of lettuce. Treatments were consisted of 4 treatments as COC compost (60% COC+40% sawdust) as control, control+35% KWF (K-1), control+50% KWF (K-2), and control+65% KWF (K-3). Temperature, pH, O.M. and microbial phase of COC composts blended various ratios of KWF or free were unaffected. It was appeared that nitrogen content of KWF treatments was higher, but the ratio of organic matter and nitrogen was lower than the control. Although KWF treatments were acceptable compost under the guideline of Korean, NaCl content of K-3 was 1.91%, and it was very higher than that of others. In comparison with fresh weight and dry weight of lettuce, K-1 and K-3 were similar to control. These results indicated that the waste from KimChi factory was possible to use the composting raw blended materials below 35% mixtures.
