Characteristics of delta-V requirements for deploying an impactor from a mother-ship at different orbital altitudes are analyzed in order to prepare for a future lunar CubeSat impactor mission. A mother-ship is assumed to be orbiting the moon with a circular orbit at a 90 deg inclination and having 50, 100, 150, 200 km altitudes. Critical design parameters that are directly related to the success of the impactor mission are also analyzed including deploy directions, CubeSat flight time, impact velocity, and associated impact angles. Based on derived delta-V requirements, required thruster burn time and fuel mass are analyzed by adapting four different miniaturized commercial onboard thrusters currently developed for CubeSat applications. As a result, CubeSat impact trajectories as well as thruster burn characteristics deployed at different orbital altitudes are found to satisfy the mission objectives. It is concluded that thrust burn time should considered as the more critical design parameter than the required fuel mass when deducing the onboard propulsion system requirements. Results provided through this work will be helpful in further detailed system definition and design activities for future lunar missions with a CubeSat-based payload.
The outer-most electrons of metal atoms and the remining valence electrons of any molecular atoms make three dimensional crystallizing $\pi$-bondings. The electrons on the $\pi$-bonding orbital rotate clockwise or counter-clockwise and they then make electro-magnetic waves between atoms on the orbital because electron move between plus charged ions. The three dimensional crystallizing $\pi$-bonding orbitals are quantum-mechanically modeled by a cyclic Kronig-Penny Model and energy band structures are analyzed with their potential barrier thickness. The waves generated between plus charged ions are the particular $\pi$-far infrared rays, which have dual properties between material and electro-magnetic waves and can be measured not by modern electro-magnetic tester but biosensor such as finger's force tester. Because the $\pi$-rays can be modulated with electro-magnetic waves it can be applied for harmful electro-magnetic wave killers. Because the $\pi$-rays make new three dimensional crystallizing $\pi$-bonding orbitals in the material the food and drink can be transformed into a helpful physical constitutional property for human health. Distinction between crystalline and amorphous metals is possible because very strong crystalline $\pi$-bonding orbitals can not easily be transformed into another. The $\pi$-rays can also be applied for biofunctional diagnostics and therapy. Gravitational field is one of the electro-magnetic fields. And also magnetic field and gravitational force field make charge's movement. ($\times$ = q, : magnetic field, : force field, q: plus charge, : velocity field)
The purpose of the present study is to search for and study the origin of planetary companion by a precise radial velocity (RV) survey for K dwarfs. The high-resolution spectroscopy of the fiber-fed Bohyunsan Observatory Echelle Spectrograph (BOES) at Bohyunsan Optical Astronomy Observatory (BOAO) is used from September 2008 to June 2012. We report the detection of two new exoplanets in orbit around HD 208527, and HD 220074 with exhibiting a periodic variation of 875.5 and 672.1 days. The examinations of surface inhomogeneous are no related to the RV variations and Keplerian motion is the most likely explanation, which suggests that the RV variations arise from an orbital motion under the influence of planetary companion. We obtain the minimum masses for the exoplanets of 11.5 and 11.1 MJup with an orbital semi-major axis of 2.3 and 1.6 AU and an eccentricity of 0.08 and 0.14, respectively. From the literatures and our estimations of stellar parameters, the luminosity class of HD 208527 is changed K dwarf to K giant and the spectral type of HD 220074 is confirmed M giant rather than K dwarf. HD 220074 is the first M giant star harboring a planetary companion.
Flyby anomaly (unexpected energy increase during Earth Gravity Assists) indicates existence of an unknown non-conservative perturbation which affects hyperbolic trajectories. This presentation focuses on first order position and velocity perturbation formulas derived in terms of classical orbital element variations for hyperbolic orbit. By using both the perturbation formulas and numerical approach, we analyze effects of hypothetical acceleration models proposed by Hasse (2009), Lewis (2009), Gerrad and Sumner (2008), and Busack (2007). Based on analysis of perturbation effect on low earth orbit, we find that typical position perturbation is about 10m which is much larger than current orbit determination accuracy. From this, we deduce that anomalous acceleration only affects hyperbolic orbit or behaves differently in bound orbit. On the other hand, based on analysis of perturbation effects on hyperbolic trajectories, we find that position and velocity perturbations are highly different from acceleration models, and all of proposed models fail to explain observed range and Doppler data. Thus, it can be concluded that not only energy variations but also kinematics gives us crucial clues on the flyby anomaly, and kinematical characteristic should be considered in modeling flyby anomaly.
We investigated the dynamical properties of the K2-3 multi-planet system. Recently three transiting planets are discovered using the extended Kepler2 (K2) mission (Crossfield et al. 2015). We extended their preliminary stability study by considering a substantial longer integration time. Since planet mass is not known from photometry we calculated exoplanets masses using empirical mass-radius relations (Weiss & Marcy 2014). Forward numerical integration was done using the MERCURY integration package (Chambers 1999). Our results demonstrate that this system is stable over a time scale of $10^8years$. Furthermore, we investigated the dynamical effects of a hypothetical planet in the semi-major axis vs eccentricity space. For stable orbits of the hypothetical planet we calculated transit-timing variation (TTV) and radial velocity signals. We find that for a hypothetical perturber with mass 1-13 Mjup, semi-major axis 0.2 - 0.8 AU and eccentricity 0.00-0.47 the following timing signals for the planet K2-3 b is ~ 5 sec, K2-3 c is ~ 130 sec and for K2-3 d is ~ 190 sec. The radial velocity signal of the hypothetical planet is ~ 4 m/s. Using typical transit-timing errors from the K2 mission, we find that the above hypothetical planet would not be detectable. Its radial velocity signal, however, would be detectable using the APF 2.4m telescope or HARPS at the ESO/La Silla Observatory in Chile.

The Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) data are considered to contain the greatest amount of information among various microwave techniques developed for measuring ocean variables from aircraft or satellites. They have the potential of measuring wavelength, wave direction and wave height of the ocean waves. But, it is difficult to retrieve significant ocean wave heights and surface current from conventional SAR data, since the imaging mechanism of ocean waves by a SAR is determined by the three basic modulation processes arise through the tilt modulation, hydrodynamic modulation and velocity bunching which are poorly known functions. Along-Track Interferometric (ATI) SAR systems can directly detect the Doppler shift associated with each pixel of a SAR image and have been used to estimate wave fields and surface currents. However, the Doppler shift is not simply proportional to the component of the mean surface current. It includes also contributions associated with the phase velocity of the Brags waves and orbital motions of all ocean waves that are longer than Brags waves. In this paper, we have developed a new method for extracting the surface current vector using multiple-frequency (L- & C-band) ATI SAR data, and have generated surface wave height information.
High resolution spectroscopy of the yellow symbiotic star AG Draconis is performed with the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope to analyse the line profiles of Raman scattered O VI broad emission features at $6825{\AA}$ and $7082{\AA}$ with a view to investigating the wind accretion process from the mass losing giant to the white dwarf. These two spectral features are formed through inelastic scattering of O $VI{\lambda}{\lambda}32$ and 1038 with atomic hydrogen. We find that these features exhibit double-component profiles with red parts stronger than blue ones with the velocity separation of ~ 60 km s-1 in the O VI velocity space. Monte Carlo simulations for O VI line radiative transfer are performed by assuming that the O VI emission region constitutes a part of the accretion flow around the white dwarf and that Raman O VI features are formed in the neutral part of the slow stellar wind from the giant companion. The overall Raman O VI profiles are reasonably fit with an azimuthally asymmetric accretion flow and the mass loss rate ~ 4 ${\times}$ 10^{-7} M_sun yr^{-1}. We also find that additional bipolar neutral regions moving away with a speed ~ 70 km s^{-1} in the directions perpendicular to the orbital plane provide considerably improved fit to the red wing parts of Raman features.
We investigate the dynamical evolution of globular clusters under the diffusion, the Galactic tide, and the presence of halo black holes. We compare the results with our previous work which considers the diffusion processes and the Galactic tide. We find the followings: (1) The black holes contribute the expansion of the outer part of the cluster. (2) There is no evidence for dependence on the orbital phase of the cluster as in our previous work. (3) The models of linear and Gaussian velocity distribution for the halo black holes do not show any significant differences in all cases. (4) The perturbation of black holes reduces the number of stars in lower energy regions. (5) There is a significant number of stars with retrograde orbits beyond the cutoff radius especially in the case of diffusion and the perturbation of black holes.
