재료 및 기하학적 비선형을 고려한 브레이싱된 강뼈대구조물의 최적설계 (The Discrete Optimum Design of Steel Frame Considering Material and Geometrical Nonlinearties)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 재료 및 기하학적 비선형을 고려한 고등해석을 이용한 브레이싱된 강뼈대구조물의 최적설계 알고리즘을 개발하는데 있다. 구조물의 해석과정에서 비선형효과를 모두 고려함으로써 기둥의 유효길이 연산이 필요없는 최적설계 알고리즘을 제시하였으며, 전체 구조시스템 및 개별부재의 정보를 이용하여 최적화 하는 2 파라미터형 다단계 최적화 기법을 개발하였다. 해석기법은 단면소성힌지(zero-length plastic hinge) 개념을 이용한 개선된 소성힌지해석법을 수행하였으며, AISC-LRFD '94 규준을 이용하여 최적화 문제를 형성하였다. 본 알고리즘을 브레이싱된 강뼈대구조물에 적용하여 본 연구의 타당성, 효율성, 경제성을 비교검토 하였다.

고유진동수의 간이 추정식을 이용한 보강판 구조물의 동특성의 최적변경에 관한 연구 (A Study on Optimum Modification of Dynamic Characteristics of Stiffened Plate Using Simplified Equation of Natural Frequency)

  • There is a purpose of this study for the proposal of the optimum technique utilized for the vibration design initial step. The stiffened plate structure for the ship hull is made for analysis model. To begin with, dynamic characteristics of stiffened plate structure is analysed using FEM. Main vibrational mode of the structure is decided in the analytical result of FEM. The simplified equation on the natural frequency of the main vibrational mode is induced. Next, sensitivity analysis is carried out using the simplified equation, and rate of change of dynamic characteristics is calculated. Then, amount of design variable is calculated using this sensitivity value and optimum structural modification method. The change of natural frequency is made to be an objective function. Thickness of panel, cross section moment of stiffener and girder become a design variable. The validity of the optimization method using simplified equation is examined. It is shown that the result effective in the optimum modification for natural frequency of the stiffened plate structure.

기능성이 반영된 오리가미 패션의 표현특성 (The Expressive Characteristics of Origami Fashion based on Functionality)

  • From traditional ceremony to science technology, origami was used as technique for artistic creativity and functionality based on formative characteristics. The purpose of this study is to analyze the expressive characteristics of functionality in fashion design using origami technique. The method of this study was to analyze recent documentaries, fashion books, fashion magazines, internet web site and so forth. The results were as follows: In various fields of design, the category of the expressive characteristics was classified as efficient correspondence of space, compositive convergence of function, variable potentiality of form and human ergonomic optimum. In recent origami fashion based on functionality, the efficient correspondence of space was expressed constructive or decorative pocket design, using on clothing surface and varied design by lifestyle. The compositive convergence of function was expressed innovative connection of fashion items or non-fashion items and deconstructed classical clothing pattern. The variable potentiality of form was expressed control of form by irregular fold, dynamic metamorphosis by organic fold and creation of varied clothing silhouette. The human ergonomic optimum was expressed metamorphosis mechanism from two dimension to three dimension, suitable construction to physical ability and limit and organic form based on articular folding. The functional origami fashion means reflection of nomadic lifestyle, maximum of usability, pursuit of playful sensibility, creation of new body aesthetic and pursuit of technology and humanism. And the result of these study may be used for creative inspiration in fashion design because of unique characteristics.

  • An optimization technique applicable to the Yagi-Uda antenna was proposed in this paper. An objective function, which is the gain of the antenna in our case, was computed using method of moments. Design variables for the Yagi-Uda antenna were chosen with lengths, positions and diameters of the antenna elements. For the optimization process, the evolution strategy technique was adopted. The results were compared with existing results and showed better performances.

  • 유성기어의 설계는 모듈 등의 이산변수, 잇수 등의 정수 변수, 치폭, 종횡비 등의 연속 변수가 혼재된 복잡한 문제로 이를 해결하기 위해서는 최적 설계 기법이 적용되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 유전 알고리즘(Genetic algorithm)을 이용한 최적 설계를 유성기어 설계에 적용하였다. 유성기어 설계시 기본이 되는 기어 잇수, 모듈, 압력각, 치폭 등과 같은 매크로 지오메트리(Macro-geometry)를 이용하여 이뿌리/치면 강도에 대한 강도 평가를 수행하였으며, 상용 프로그램과의 비교를 통해 검증하였다. 유전 알고리즘을 이용하여 기어의 체적을 최소화하기 위한 최적 설계를 수행하였으며, 이를 통하여 설계자는 초기 설계시 시행착오를 줄여 설계 시간을 단축시킬 수 있었다.

이중 선각 유조선의 최적 구조 설계 시스템 개발 (Development of Optimum Structural Design System for Double Hull Oil Tankers)

  • 저자들에 의해 기 제안한 바 있는 일반화 경사처짐법을 이용하여 이중 선각 유조선의 최적 구조 설계 시스템을 개발하였다. 최적화 기법으로는 직접탐색법의 일종인 Hooke와 Jeeves 방법을 사용하여 이산화변수를 용이하게 처리할 수 있도록 하였다. 일반화 경사처짐법과 최적화 기법을 결합하여 선급규정에 의한 종강도 부재의 최소 중량 설계프로그램과 일반화 경사처짐법에 의한 횡강도 부재 및 횡격벽 부재의 최소 중량 설계 프로그램을 개발하였다. 개발한 프로그램을 이용하여 tank 배치를 고려한 이중 선각 유조선의 최적 구조 설계를 수행하여 실적선의 설계 치수 및 선각 중량과 비교하였으며, 최소 중량을 주는 tank 배치와 tank type을 결정할 수 있었다.

  • Deterministic optimum designs that are obtained without consideration of uncertainties could lead to unrealiable designs. Such deterministic engineering optimization tends to promote the structural system with less reliability redundancy than obtained with conventional design procedures using the factor of safety. Consequently, deterministic optimized structures will usually have higher failure probabilities than unoptimized structures. This paper proposes the reliability based design optimization technique fur apressure tank considering temperature effect. This paper presents an efficient and stable reliability based design optimization method by using the advanced first order second moment method, which evaluates a probabilistic constraint for more accuracy. In addition, the response surface method is utilized to approximate the performance functions describing the system characteristics in the reliability based design optimization procedure.

  • In this study, a multi-step optimization technique combined with a simple genetic algorithm is introduced in order to minimize the static compliance, the dynamic compliance, and the weight of a high speed machining center simultaneously. Dimensional thicknesses of the eight structural members on the static force loop are adopted as design variables. The first optimization step is a static design optimization, in which the static compliance and the weight are minimized under some dimensional and safety constraints. The second step is a dynamic design optimization, where the dynamic compliance and the weight are minimized under the same constraints. After optimization, the weight of the moving body only was reduced to 57.75% and the weight of the whole machining center was reduced to 46.2% of the initial design respectively. Both static and dynamic compliances of the optimum design are also in the feasible range even though they were slightly increased than before.

  • 복합구조제어시스템의 동시최적설계방법에 관하여 연구하였다. 여기에서는 수동제어장치 뿐만 아니라 능동제어장치의 배치와 용량, 제어기 등이 설계변수가 되며 설계인자들의 만족도를 나타내는 선호도함수를 정의하여 이를 이용하여 최적화문제를 정식화한다. 또한 수동 및 능동제어장치의 설계변수로부터 동시에 최적해를 찾아내기 의한 수치적 방법으로 유전자알고리즘을 사용하였다. 지진하중을 받는 다자유도 구조물의 설계에 및 수치모사를 통하여 제안한 방법의 타당성을 검증하고자 하였다.

사출금형 냉각시스템 최적화를 위한 설계변수의 감소 방법 연구 (A study on the reduction of design variables for injection mold cooling system optimization)

  • The cooling system optimization for injection molds was studied with a response surface method in the previous research. It took so much time to find an optimum solution for a large product due to an extensive amount of calculation time for the CAE analysis. In order to use the optimization technique in the actual design process, the calculation time should be much reduced. In this study, we tried to reduce the number of design variables with the concept of the close relationship between the depth and the distance of cooling channels. The optimum ratio of the distance to the depth of cooling channels for a 2-dimensional problem was 2.0 so that the optimum ratio was again sought out for 4 industrial products. The major cooling effect of the injection molds for large products rely on baffle tubes. The optimum ratio of the distance to the depth for baffle tubes was 2.0 for the large products. The result enables us to reduce the number of the design variables by half in the cooling system optimization problem.
