축 처짐과 선미관 저널 베어링 유막 압력의 상호작용을 고려한 추진축계 정렬 해석 (Propulsion Shafting Alignment Analysis Considering the Interaction between Shaft Deflection and Oil Film Pressure of Sterntube Journal Bearing)

  • Precise propulsion shafting alignment of ships is very important to prevent damage of its support bearings due to excessive reaction forces caused by hull deflection, forces acted on propeller and crankshaft, and so forth. In this paper, a new iterative shafting alignment calculation procedure considering the interaction between shaft deflection and oil film pressure of Sterntube Journal Bearing (SJB) bush with single or multiple slopes is proposed. The procedure is based on a pressure analysis to evaluate distributed equivalent support stiffness of SJB by solving Reynolds equation and a deflection analysis of shafting system by a finite element method based on Timoshenko beam theory. SJB is approximated with multi-point biaxial elastic supports equally distributed to its length. Their initial stiffness values are estimated from dynamic reaction force calculated by assuming SJB as single rigid support. Then, the shaft deflection and the support stiffness of SJB are sequentially and iteratively calculated by applying a criteria on deflection variation between sequential calculation results. To demonstrate validity and applicability of the proposed procedure for optimal slope design of SJB, numerical analysis results for a shafting system are described.

  • 최근 화두가 되는 가상현실 분야와 감정인식 분야의 결합으로 감정을 정량적으로 분석하고, 분석된 결과를 바탕으로 가상현실 콘텐츠를 개선하는 접근이 시도되고 있다. 감정은 콘텐츠 체험자의 생체신호를 기반으로 분석되는데, 신호 분석 관점에서는 많은 연구가 이루어지고 있으나 이를 정량화하는 방법론에 관해서는 충분히 논의되지 않고 있다. 본 논문에서는 감정의 정량화를 위한 초석으로 여러 생체신호 중 뇌파 신호에 대한 정규화 함수 설계와 이를 나타내는 표현 기법을 제안하고자 한다. 정규화 함수의 최적 파라미터를 찾아내기 위해 무차별 대입법을 사용하였으며, 본 논문에서 정의한 True Score와 False Score를 사용하여 찾아낸 파라미터들의 신뢰성을 높였다. 결과적으로 경험에 의존되던 생체신호 정규화 함수의 파라미터 결정을 자동화할 수 있으며, 이를 바탕으로 감정의 정량적 분석이 가능하다.

조종적성 검사/연구 장비 운용 Console의 인간공학적 개선 (Ergonomic Improvement of Operation Console for Pilot Aptitude Research Equipment)

  • Pilot Aptitude Research Equipment (PARE) is a simulator developed to measure or research pilot aptitude and train for student pilots. Design of an ergonomic PARE operation console is required to operate the equipment effectively. This study carried out five steps : (S1) operator questionnaire survey, (S2) anthropometric design formula development, (S3) usability evaluation, (S4) improvement design, and (S5) validation considering both Physical User Interface (PUI) and Graphic User Interface (GUI) of PARE operation console. The operator questionnaire surveyed needs for each PUI and GUI part of the console from two PARE actual operators. In terms of PUI, the anthropometric design formula was developed by using design variables, body dimensions, target population characteristics, and reference posture related to the PARE console. In terms of GUI, the usability evaluation was conducted by three usability testing experts with a 7-point scale (1 : very low, 4 : neutral, 7 : very high) on GUI of the PARE operation console by seven usability criteria. The improved PARE operation console was designed to reflect the optimal values of design variables calculated from design formula, the results from usability testing, and the operator's needs. The improvement effect was observed by 20 people who had experience with the PARE operation console. As a result of the validation, monitor visibility and cockpit visibility for the improved PUI design and visibility and efficiency for the improved GUI design were significantly increased by more than 90% respectively. The improved design of the PARE operation console in this study can contribute to enhance operation performance of the PARE.

Combined Effect of Aging and Irradiation on Physicochemical Quality of Pork Shoulder

  • The effect of combined electron-beam irradiation and aging temperature of pork on microbiological and physicochemical properties was investigated. The samples from pork shoulder were irradiated with 0 or 2 kGy, vacuum-packaged, and assigned randomly to an aging temperature ($2^{\circ}C$, $10^{\circ}C$, or $25^{\circ}C$) during 8 d. On 4 d of aging at $25^{\circ}C$, total aerobic bacteria of non-irradiated ones reached 7 Log CFU/g which is no salable levels. Shear force values of irradiated meat after aging for 2 and 4 d at $25^{\circ}C$ was lower than those aged at $2^{\circ}C$. Irradiated samples at $2^{\circ}C$ had lower cooking loss after 2 and 8 d of aging, compared with other aging temperatures. Irradiation did not accelerate 2-thiobarbituric acid reactive substance (TBARS) value when aged up to 4 d. Irradiated samples aged at $10^{\circ}C$ and $25^{\circ}C$ for 8 d scored significantly higher TBARS values. With an increased aging period, $a^*$ and $b^*$ in irradiated samples at $2^{\circ}C$ slightly increased, but irradiation caused negligible changes in meat color. The highest contents of a desirable nucleotide flavor compounds (inosine-5-phosphate) were observed in pork at $2^{\circ}C$ when aged for 4 and 8 d, while the lowest contents were observed at $25^{\circ}C$. Aging in irradiated pork for 8 d at $2^{\circ}C$ resulted in optimal condition with improved meat quality and minimal microbiologically negative defect.

비탈면의 높이가 쏘일네일 위상최적화에 미치는 영향 (Effect of the Height of the Slope on the Topology Optimization of Soilnail)

  • 본 논문에서는 쏘일네일 설계에 위상최적화 기법을 도입하여 비탈면 높이별로 필요로 하는 보강력을 최적화하였다. 최대 비탈면 높이에서의 최적설계 결과를 보강형상밀도화하여 비탈면의 높이 변화에 따라 적용 시 쏘일네일의 수평간격의 위상최적화가 가능하였다. 단계별로 비탈면 높이를 달리하여 한계평형해석을 수행하고 쏘일네일의 수평간격이 고정값일 때 초과되는 안전율을 확인하였다. 비탈면 높이에 따른 필요 보강력을 밀도화 함으로써 최적화의 과정을 효율적으로 수행할 수 있었다. 또한 쏘일네일의 축력을 보강형상밀도에 반영하기 위하여 유한요소법을 이용하여 부재력을 반영하였다. 보강형상밀도를 산정하여 비탈면 높이별로 위상최적기법을 적용 시 비탈면 높이마다 기준안전율을 만족하는 반복적인 재해석과정을 효과적으로 감소시킬 수 있어 수평간격을 위상 최적화하는 방법이 경제적인 설계에 활용도가 높을 것으로 판단된다.

3점 굽힘 하중 해석을 통한 금속 판재형 도어 임팩트 단면형상 최적설계 (Optimal Section Design for Metal Press Door Impact Beam Development by 3-Point Bending Analysis)

  • 금속 일체형 판재 도어 임팩트 빔 개발을 위해 단면 형상의 최적설계를 진행하였다. 기존의 도어 임팩트는 충격을 흡수하는 강관과 양쪽에 브라켓을 용접하여 자동차에 설치하는 구조로 이루어졌다. 하지만, 브라켓을 설치하기 위한 용접작업은 생산성을 떨어뜨리고 생산단가를 증가시키는 과정이다. 이러한 단점을 극복하기 위해 일체형 판재 도어 임팩트 빔의 개발은 반드시 필요한 공정이다. 본 논문에서는 일체형 판재 도어 임팩트의 단면 형상을 수치해석의 방법으로 제안하는 연구를 진행하였다. 외부 충격에 대한 반력 하중 및 생산성을 고려하여 엔지니어의 직관적인 설계 형상 6가지에 대하여 수치해석을 진행하였다. 객관적인 비교를 위해 3점 굽힘 하중 실험을 모사하는 유한요소해석을 진행하였다. 형상과 치수가 상이한 6가지의 단면 형상 중 최적의 형상을 선정하고, 상세 설계를 위해 단면형상의 높이와 폭의 치수를 변화시키며 해석을 진행하였다. 이를 통해, 일체형 판재 도어 임팩트의 최적의 단면 형상을 제안하였다.

기계적합금화법에 의한 Mg-BaFe12O19 계 강자성 복합분말의 제조 및 자기특성 (Fabrication and Magnetic Properties of Mg and BaFe12O19 Ferromagnetic Composite Powders by Mechanical Alloying)

  • Fabrication of a ferromagnetic composite powder for the magnesium and BaFe12O19 system by mechanical alloying (MA) is investigated at room temperature. Mixtures of Mg and BaFe12O19 powders with a weight ratio of Mg:BaFe12O19 = 4:1, 3:2, 2:3 and 1:4 are used. Optimal MA conditions to obtain a ferromagnetic composite with fine microstructure are investigated by X-ray diffraction, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) measurement. It is found that Mg-BaFe12O19 composite powders in which BaFe12O19 is dispersed in Mg matrix are successfully produced by MA of BaFe12O19 with Mg for 80 min. for all compositions. Magnetization of Mg-BaFe12O19 composite powders gradually increases with increasing the amounts of BaFe12O19, whereas coercive force of MA powders gradually decreases due to the refinement of BaFe12O19 powders with MA time for all compositions. However, it can be seen that the coercivity of Mg-BaFe12O19 MA composite powders with a weight ratio of Mg:BaFe12O19=4:1 and 3:2 for MA 80 min. are still high, with values of 1260 Oe and 1320 Oe compared to that of Mg:BaFe12O19=1:4. This clearly suggests that the refinement of BaFe12O19 powders during MA process for Mg:BaFe12O19=4:1 and 3:2 tends to be suppressed due to ductile Mg powders.

The Effect of Macroeconomic Factors on Income Inequality: Evidence from Indonesia

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship and effects of variables both directly and indirectly (e.g., investment (INV), government expenditure (GE), unemployment rate (UR), economic growth (EG), and income inequality). The analytical phases consist, first, to transform the data using the Log Natural (Ln) method. Second, to check normality and multicollinearity of data. Third, to test direct effects of variables (government expenditure and investment effect on the unemployment rate and economic growth; investment on government expenditure; economic growth on unemployment rate; economic growth and unemployment rate on income inequality). Fourth, to test indirect effects using Sobel test, which involves UR and EG as intervening variable. Fifth, to test hypotheses with p-value < 0.05. The results of the study reveal that, of the 12 relationships, statistics show that 11 variations of the association have significant positive and negative effects. Theoretically, the different characters and goals of GE and INV in each country will have a different impact on EG and UR goals. The study provides an input, especially for the government. To create optimal EG through GE and INV, it is necessary to allocate budgets to industrial sectors that can absorb a massive labor force and to new economic growth sectors.

다대다 대응 위협평가 및 무기할당 알고리즘 연구: 탄도미사일 및 장사정포 위협을 중심으로 (A Study of Multi-to-Majority Response on Threat Assessment and Weapon Assignment Algorithm: by Adjusting Ballistic Missiles and Long-Range Artillery Threat)

  • In weapon assignment studies to defend against threats such as ballistic missiles and long range artillery, threat assessment was partially lacking in analysis of various threat attributes, and considering the threat characteristics of warheads, which are difficult to judge in the early flight stages, it is very important to apply more reliable optimal solutions than approximate solution using LP model, Meta heuristics Genetic Algorithm, Tabu search and Particle swarm optimization etc. Our studies suggest Generic Rule based threat evaluation and weapon assignment algorithm in the basis of various attributes of threats. First job of studies analyzes information on Various attributes such as the type of target, Flight trajectory and flight time, range and intercept altitude of the intercept system, etc. Second job of studies propose Rule based threat evaluation and weapon assignment algorithm were applied to obtain a more reliable solution by reflection the importance of the interception system. It analyzes ballistic missiles and long-range artillery was assigned to multiple intercept system by real time threat assessment reflecting various threat information. The results of this study are provided reliable solution for Weapon Assignment problem as well as considered to be applicable to establishing a missile and long range artillery defense system.

다중서버 큐잉 모델을 이용한 공중급유기 지상 대기시간 적응적 제어 기법 (Adaptive Control Scheme of Air Tanker Ground Waiting Time Based on a Multi-Server Queuing Model)

  • 본 논문은 공중급유기의 지상 대기시간을 최소화 하기 위해서 단일서버와 다중서버 환경에서 대기시간을 산출하는 대기행렬, 즉, Queuing 이론을 연구에 활용하였다. 국가의 예산과 자원은 한정되어 있어 군수지원 서비스팀의 무한한 증가는 제한되는 환경이다. 따라서 전시 준비단계 또는 전시 환경에 따라 지상 대기시간을 적응적으로 제어할 수 있는 군수지원 서비스팀 수량을 산출하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 공군의 공중급유기 군수지원 서비스팀의 최적 수량을 산출할수 있는 명문화된 기준을 제공함으로서, 군수지휘관이 평시에서 전시까지 각 단계별로 군수지원 서비스팀을 할당할 수 있는 근거를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
