The purpose of this paper is to develop simulations that can be used for virtual education in dentistry. The virtual education to be developed will be developed with clinical training and actual case data of tooth extraction. This development goal is to allow dental students to learn the necessary surgical techniques at the point of their choice, not going into the operating room, away from time, space, and physical limits. I want to develop content using VR. Oculus Rift HMD, Optical Based Outside-in Tracking System, Oculus Touch Motion Controller, and Headset as Input / Output Device. In this configuration, the optimization method is applied convergent, and when the operation of the VR contents is performed, the content data is extracted from the interaction analysis formed in the VR engine, and the data is processed by the content algorithm. It also computes events and dental operations generated within the 3D engine programming and generates corresponding events through data processing according to the input signal. The visualization information is output to the HMD using the rendering information. In addition, the operating room environment was constructed by studying lighting and material for actual operating room environment. We applied the ratio of actual space to virtual space and the ratio between character and actual person to create a spatial composition at a similar rate to actual space.

The importance of the real-time object recognition and tracking field has been growing steadily due to rapid advancement in the computer vision applications industry. As is well known, the mean-shift algorithm is widely used in robust real-time object tracking systems. Since the mentioned algorithm is easy to implement and efficient in object tracking computation, many say it is suitable to be applied to real-time object tracking systems. However, one of the major drawbacks of this algorithm is that it always converges to a local mode, failing to perform well in a cluttered environment. In this paper, an Optical Flow-based algorithm which fits for real-time recognition of multiple moving objects is proposed. Also in the tests, the newly proposed method contributed to raising the similarity of multiple moving objects, the similarity was as high as 0.96, up 13.4% over that of the mean-shift algorithm. Meanwhile, the level of pixel errors from using the new method keenly decreased by more than 50% over that from applying the mean-shift algorithm. If the data processing speed in the video surveillance systems can be reduced further, owing to improved algorithms for faster moving object recognition and tracking functions, we will be able to expect much more efficient intelligent systems in this industrial arena.

Purpose : The purpose of this study was to develop a system for the measurement and simulation of the TMJ movement and to analyze the mandibular movement quantitatively. Materials and Methods : We devised patient-specific splints and a registration body for the TMJ movement tracking. The mandibular movements of the 12 subjects with facial deformity and 3 controls were obtained by using an optical tracking system and the patient-specific splints. The mandibular part was manually segmented from the CT volume data of a patient. Three-dimensional surface models of the maxilla and the mandible were constructed using the segmented data. The continuous movement of the mandible with respect to the maxilla could be simulated by applying the recorded positions sequentially. Trajectories of the selected reference points were calculated during simulation and analyzed. Results : The selected points were the most superior point of bilateral condyle, lower incisor point, and pogonion. There were significant differences (P<0.05) between control group and pre-surgical group in the maximum displacement of left superior condyle, lower incisor, and pogonion in vertical direction. Differences in the maximum lengths of the right and the left condyle were 0.59${\pm}$0.30 mm in pre-surgical group and 2.69${\pm}$2.63 mm in control group, which showed a significant difference (P<0.005). The maximum of differences between lengths of the right and the left calculated during one cycle also showed a significant difference between two groups (P<0.05). Conclusion : Significant differences in mandibular movements between the groups implies that facial deformity have an effect on the movement asymmetry of the mandible. To obtain a good tracking performance in an optical disk drive servo system, it is essential to attenuate periodic disturbances caused by eccentric rotation of the disk. As an effective control scheme for enhancing disturbance attenuation performance, disturbance observers (DOBs) have been successfully applied to the track-following servo system of optical disk drives. In disk drive systems, the improvement of data transfer rate has been achieved mainly by the increase of disk rotational speed, which leads to the increase of the disturbance frequency. Conventional DOBs are no longer effective in disk drive systems with a high-speed rotation mechanism because the performance of conventional DOBs is severely degraded as the disk rotational frequency increases. This paper proposes a new DOB structure for effective rejection of the disturbance in optical disk drives with a very high rotation speed. Asymptotic disturbance rejection is achieved by adopting a band-pass filter in the DOB structure, which is tuned based on the information on the disturbance frequency. In addition, performance sensitivity of the proposed DOB to changes in disk rotational frequency is analyzed. The effectiveness of the proposed DOB is verified through simulations and experiments using a DVD-ROM drive.

The track pull-in behavior analysis in an optical disk drive (ODD) using plane phase and the evaluations for effecting parameters of it are discussed. Track pull-in, track capture procedure to do track following control, is a key factor to increase data transfer rate. First, the relative velocity between the beam spot of an optical pick-up and the target track of an optical disk is analyzed during the track pull-in procedure. In this process, it is showed that the track error signal has nonlinear characteristics which are depending on the time. Second, Runge-Kutta method to solve the nonlinear equation is applied to find the track pull-in behavior, and some optimal parameters to get stable and fast pull-in condition are obtained. Then, the phase plane analysis for track pull-in procedure is presented. Finally, some comments for the simulated results are discussed briefly.

A communications profile is a system that acquires information from communication links to an ambulance or other vehicle moving on a road and compiles a database based on this information. The equipment (six sets of HDTVs, fish-eye camera, satellite antenna with tracking system, and receiving power from the satellite beacon of the N-star) mounted on the roof of the vehicle, image data were obtained at Yokohama Japan. From these data, the polygon of the building was actually produced and has arranged on the map of the Geographical Survey Institute of a 50 m-mesh. The optical study (relationship between visibility rate and elevation angle) were performed on actual data taken by fish-eye lens, and simulated data by 3D-Map with polygons. There was no big difference. This 3D map system then predicts the communication links that will be available at a given location. For line-of-sight communication, optical analysis allows approximation if the frequency is sufficiently high. For non-line-of-sight communication, previously obtained electric power data can be used as reference information for approximation in certain cases when combined with predicted values calculated based on a 3D map. 3D maps are more effective than 2D maps for landing emergency medical helicopters on public roadways in the event of a disaster. Using advanced imaging technologies, we have produced a semi-automatic creation of a high-precision 3D map at Yokohama Yamashita Park and vicinity and assessed its effectiveness on telecommunications and ambulatory merits.
We used an optical observation system with a 0.6m wide-field telescope and 5 computers system in KASI (Korean Astronomy and Space Science Institute) for satellite optical observation. Optical data have errors that are caused by targeting, expose start time and end-point determination. Gauss method for initial orbit determination was tested using angle-only data simulated by KODAS. And suitable time span is confirmed for result which has minimum errors. Initial orbit determination results are proved that optical observation system in KASI is possible satellite tracking for a short period. And also through differential correction, initial orbit determination results are improved.
A digital micro holographic particle tracking velocimetry (HPTV) system consisting of a high-speed camera and a single laser with acoustic optical modulator (AOM) chopper was established. The digital micro HPTV system was applied to water flow in a micro curved-tube for measuring instantaneous 3-D velocity field data consecutively. The micro curved-tube is using to reproduce the dorsal aorta or utilize in various lap-on-a-chip. The temporal evolution of a three-dimensional water flow in the micro curved-tube (the curvature, ${\kappa}$=1/${\phi}$, 2/${\phi}$, 4/${\phi}$, 8/${\phi}$) of 100 ${\mu}m$ and 300 ${\mu}m$ inner diameters was obtained and mean velocity field distribution was obtained by statistical-averaging the instantaneous velocity fields.

The development of the computer widens the expressive ways for the nature objects and the scenes. The cutting edge computer graphics technologies effectively create any images we can imagine. Although the computer graphics plays an important role in filming and video production, the status of the domestic contents production industry is not favorable for producing and research all at the same time. In digital composition, the match moving stage, which composites the captured real sequence with computer graphics image, goes through many complicating processes. The camera tracking process is the most important issue in this stage. This comprises the estimation of the 3D trajectory and the optical parameter of the real camera. Because the estimating process is based only on the captured sequence, there are many errors which make the process more difficult. In this paper we propose the method for correcting the tracking data. The proposed method can alleviate the unwanted camera shaking and object bouncing effect in the composited scene.

Military surveillance systems with electro-optical sensors can be used to track a number of targets efficiently and reliably. In MTT (Multi-Target Tracking), joint events in which different tracks share the same measurements may occur. Measurement-to-track assignment are computationally challenging because of the number of operations increases exponentially with number of tracks and number of measurements. IHPDA (Integrated Highest Probability Data Association) based on a 2D-Assignment technique can find an optimal solution for measurement to track one-to-one assignments for complex environments. In this paper, LM-IHPDA (Linear Multi-Target IHPDA) which does not need to form all feasible joint events of association and thus the computational load is linear in the number of tracks and the number of measurements. Simulation studies illustrate the effectiveness of this approach in an infrared image environment.
