보완 다중 활동 분석표와 시뮬레이션을 이용한 작업자 운영 전략 분석 (Analysis of Workforce Scheduling Using Adjusted Man-machine Chart and Simulation)

  • Determining the number of operators who set up the machines in a human-machine system is crucial for maximizing the benefits of automated production machines. A man-machine chart is an effective tool for identifying bottlenecks, improving process efficiency, and determining the optimal number of machines per operator. However, traditional man-machine charts are lacking in accounting for idle times, such as interruptions caused by other material handling equipment. We present an adjusted man-machine chart that determines the number of machines per operator, incorporating idleness as a penalty term. The adjusted man-machine chart efficiently deploys and schedules operators for the hole machining process to enhance productivity, where operators have various idle times, such as break times and waiting times by forklifts or trailers. Further, we conduct a simulation validation of traditional and proposed charts under various operational environments of operators' fixed and flexible break times. The simulation results indicate that the adjusted man-machine chart is better suited for real-world work environments and significantly improves productivity.

  • 본 논문은 정수계획 문제로 수리모형화 되는 선박운항 일정계획 문제에 대한 컴퓨터 그래픽기반의 상호대화식 모델링 시스템의 개발에 관해서 논한다. 선박운항 일정계획 문제는 "최대의 운임수익을 얻기 위하여 선박과 화물을 적절히 배정하는 문제"로 요약되며 수리모형과 해법에 대한 많은 연구가 있어왔다. 1970년 후반부터 컴퓨터의 발전에 힘입어 수학적 모델링 뿐만 아니라 컴퓨터 그래픽을 활용한 시각적 상호대화식 모델링에 관한 연구가 시도되었고 현재는 MS/OR(management Science / Operational Research) 및 경영정보시스템(Management Information System : MIS)의 중요한 한 분야가 되었다. 시각적 상호대화식 모델링(Visual Interactive Modeling : VIM)이란 자료의 입력과 모델의 생성 및 해의 표현에 이르는 모델링 생명주기 전체에 걸쳐 의사결정자가 직접 개입하여 의사결정자가 원하는 해를 얻는 과정을 말한다. 본 논문에서는 선박운항일정계획 문제에 있어 컴퓨터 그래픽을 이용한 자료의 입력, 모델의 생성 및 검증, 적절한 해법의 선택 그리고 해의 표현 방법을 제안하고 개발된 프로토타입 시스템을 소개한다.시스템을 소개한다.

  • 최근 들어 기업의 외부 환경은 글로벌 경쟁, 원가 절감과 이윤 확보에 대한 압박 및 신기술의 급격한 발전 등에 의해 매우 급속하게 변화하고 있다. 특히, 고객 요구 사항의 빈번한 변화는 제조 기업에게 심각한 도전이 되고 있다. 이러한 도전에 대응하기 위해서는, 고객 서비스 향상과 운영 효율성 제고를 위해 여러 관리 기능 중에서 생산계획 기능이 우선적으로 정립되어야 한다. 생산계획은 전체 공급망 관리 중에서 생산 프로세스에서의 단기적 의사결정을 다루며, 그 역할은 고객 주문과 제한된 자원 사이에서 균형을 찾는 것이다. 본 논문의 목적은 공급망 관리 관점에서 생산계획의 기능성과 시스템 아키텍처를 분석하고, 이를 기반으로 생산계획 솔루션들 간의 비교를 가능케 하기 위한 분류 프레임워크를 제시하는 것이다.

  • This paper considers the problem of scheduling loading and unloading operations of a crane in a railway terminal motivated from rail-road container transshipment operations at Uiwang Inland Container Depot (ICD). Unlike previous studies only considering the total handling time of containers, this paper considers a bi-criteria objective of minimizing the weighted sum of the total handling time and tenant service time. The tenant service time is an important criterion in terms of terminal tenants who are private logistics companies in charge of moving containers from/to the terminal using their trucks. In the rail-road container shipment yard, the tenant service time of a tenant can be defined by a time difference between beginning and finishing loading and unloading operations of a crane. Thus, finding a set of sequences and time of the crane operations becomes a crucial decision issue in the problem. The problem is formulated as a nonlinear program which is improved by linearizing a nonlinear constraint in the model. This paper develops a genetic algorithm to solve the problem and performs a case study on the Uiwang ICD terminal. Computational experiment results show that the genetic algorithm shows better performance than commercial optimization solvers. Operational implications in terms of tenants are drawn through sensitivity analyses.

  • 컨테이너 터미널의 자동화는 항만 경쟁력을 좌우하는 중요한 요소로 글로벌 선진항만은 컨테이너 터미널 자동화를 통해 경쟁력을 강화하는 추세이다. 자동화 터미널의 필수 이송 장비인 AGV의 운영 효율화는 자동화 터미널의 생산성을 제고할 수 있다. 자동화 컨테이너 터미널에서의 AGV 운영은 기존 컨테이너 터미널의 이송 장비 운영과는 다르게, 지정된 경로에 따라 주행하는 등 자동화 시스템을 기반으로 운영되어 작업부하 및 교착, 충돌 등과 같은 문제들을 고려하여야 한다. 이러한 요소들을 방지하고 AGV 운영 효율화를 지향하기 위해서는 보다 정교한 모델이 필요하다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 터미널 내 AGV 주행경로 및 작업 배정 상황을 고려한 AGV 스케줄링 모형을 제안한다. 해당 모형은 교착 상황에 대한 문제를 예방하고 AGV 대수 및 작업 개수 변경으로 다양한 Case를 생성해 AGV 주행상황을 만들어 알고리즘과 최적해 분석을 통해 제안한 알고리즘을 평가한다.

  • This study develops a new system for generation system simulation and operational planning (namely, KPWR-X) including GMS(Generator Maintenance Scheduling), UC(Unit Commitment), and LF(Load Forecasting) for new power system environment in recent. The KPWR-X provides operator and planner to help the generation system more safely and economically. GUI developed in this study makes operator feel in convenient to control whole power system. In future, it is expected that generation company, ISO, and fuel procurement, etc. may use an instructional tool developer's suggestion for application. It will be also applicable to establish the operational strategies for generation control, fuel procurement and power system risk management.

  • Since its launching on 21 December 1999, the Korea Multi-Purpose Satellite-I (KOMPSAT-I) has been successfully operated by the Mission Control Element (MCE), which was developed by the ETRI. Most of the major functions of the MCE have been successfully demonstrated and verified during the three years of the mission life of the satellite. This paper presents the operational performances of the various functions in MAPS. We show the performance and analysis of orbit determinations using ground-based tracking data and GPS navigation solutions. We present four instances of the orbit maneuvers that guided the spacecraft form injection orbit into the nominal on-orbit. We include the ground-based attitude determination using telemetry data and the attitude maneuvers for imaging mission. The event prediction, mission scheduling, and command planning functions in MAPS subsequently generate the spacecraft mission operations and command plan. The fuel accounting and the realtime ground track display also support the spacecraft mission operations.

  • This paper introduces facility operation modeling and simulation based primarily on a discrete event system modeling scheme. Many modern industrial facilities are so complex that their operational status cannot be estimated by simple calculations. In general, a facility can consist of many processes and transfers of material between processes that may be modeled as a discrete event system. This paper introduces the current status of studies on operation modeling and simulation for typical nuclear facilities, along with some examples. In addition, this paper provides insights about how a discrete event system can be applied to a model for a nuclear facility. A headend facility is chosen for operation modeling and the simulation, and detailed procedure is thoroughly described from modeling to an analysis of discrete event results. These kinds of modeling and simulation are very important because they can contribute to facility design and operation in terms of prediction of system behavior, quantification of facility capacity, bottleneck identification and efficient operation scheduling.

  • In this paper we made a reliability analysis of power system pumps by using the dimensional reduction method which over comes the problem due to unavailability of enpugh data in the actual systems under many different operational environments. Hence a resonable method was proposed to determine the optimum maintenance interval of given pump in thermal power stations. This analysis was based on an actual data set of pumps for over ten years in thermal power stations belonged to Kyushu Electric Power Company, Japan.

  • In this paper, we present a machining time estimation algorithm for 5-axis high-speed machining. Estimation of machining time plays an important role in process planning and production scheduling of a shop. In contrast to the rapid evolution of machine tools and controllers, machining time calculation is still based on simple algorithms of tool path length divided by input feedrates of NC data, with some additional factors from experience. We propose an algorithm based on 5-axis machine behavior in order to predict machining time more exactly. For this purpose, we first investigated the operational characteristics of 5-axis machines. Then, we defined some dominant factors, including feed angle that is an independent variable for machining speed. With these factors, we have developed a machining time calculation algorithm that has a good accuracy not only in 3-axis machining, but also in 5-axis high-speed machining.
