공진 DC 링크 스너버를 이용한 3상 전류형 PWM 컨버터 (Three-phase current type PWM converter using resonant DC Link snubber)

  • This paper presents a novel three-phase current-fed Pulse Width Modulation converter with switched capacitor type resonant DC link commutation circuit operating PWM pattern strategy under a design consideration of low-pass filter, which can operate on the basis of the principle of zero current soft switching commutation. In the first place, the steady state operating principle of this converter with a new resonant DC link snubber circuit is described in connection with the equivalent operation circuit, together with the practical design procedure of the switched-capacitor type resonant DC link circuit is discussed from a theoretical viewpoint on the basis of a design example for high-power applications. The actively delayed time correction method to compensate distorted currents due to a relatively long resonant commutation time is newly implemented in the open loop control scheme so as to acquire the new optimum PWM pattern. Finally, the experiment of set-up in laboratory system of this converter is concretely demonstrated herein to confirm a zero current soft-switching commutation of this converter. The comparative evaluations between current-fed hard switching PWM and soft-switching PWM converters are carried out from a viewpoint of their PWM converter characteristics.

  • When an automatic course-keeping is concerned as is quite popular in modern navigation the closed-loop steering system consists of autopilot device power unit (or telemotor unit) steering gear magnetic or gyro compass and ship dynamics. The consideration of irregular disturbances to ship dyanmics and a few non-linear mechanisms involved in the system inevitably or artificially are known to be very important in properly evaluating or analyzing the automatic steering system. In the present study the mathematical model of each element of an automatic steering system is derived which takes account of a fex non-linear mechanisms. PD(Proportional-Derivative) controller and low-pass filter with a weather adjustment are adopted to modelling the characteristics of an autopilot. The calculation method of imposing irregular disturbances to ship dynamics is proposed where irregular disturbances implying irregular wave and the fluctuating component of wind. For he evaluation of automatic steering system of ships in the open seas an important term "performance index" is introduced from the viewpoint of energy saving which derived from the concept of energy loss on ship propulsion. Finally the present methods are applied to two typical types of ship ; an ore carrier and a fishing boat. The various effects of linear and/or non-linear control constants of autopilot on propulsive energy loss are investigated to validate and clarify the present smulation technique.

  • A new type of gripper for micrometer-size objects is developed using piezoelectric multi-layer benders. It is composed of three chopsticks, two of which are designed to grip micro-objects. The third one is reserved for helping the two when objects are released from the chopsticks. It is well known that a micro object is much easier to grasp than to release it after holding it. The electrostatic force between the chopsticks and an object is believed to be the main cause of adhesion in a dry environment. The surface tension becomes very important when liquids are present or in a liquid. The third auxiliary chopsticks is introduced to solve there surface effects. All the three chopsticks are made of tungsten wires with sharpened ends by etching. When grasping microparts, the two chopsticks are utilized, and, when releasing them anywhere the parts are located, the third one reduces the electrostatic force between the objects and the chopstick may be to help the other two chopsticks to hold an objects in a desired orientation. We constructed the three chopstick gripoer for micro objects and test their function by holding and releasing an object of a diameter of 100 micrometers. We make use of open loop voltage control. The bender displacement resolution is sub-micrometer. The gripping forces, about tens of mN are obtained. The experiment shows that the third auxiliary chopstick functions effectively.

  • This paper presents the information transmission between on-board and ground-site in MAGLEV. considering safety and high speed operation and density operation, information transmission between them is necessary. Therefore it is necessary for transmission system to ensure high speed transmission, low error rate, massive information, and reliability of information. To provide above conditions, 1.1km signal line assembly was constructed and Frequency Shift Keying(FSK) modulation and Open System Interconnection(OSI) based high-level data link control(HDLC) protocol are applied. To modulate digital signal for transmission from ground-site to on-board, carrier frequency of 70kHz is used and 90khz is used for transmission from on-board to ground-site. Transmission speed is 2400bps for consideration of train speed, quantity of information, and data error rate. And this paper introduces information monitoring considering user interface and presents the method for an effective data transmission in MAGLEV which is now being tested and intends to provide for an intelligent train operation system in future.

  • 본 논문에서는 비대칭 공극을 갖는 단상 영구자석 동기 전동기의 센서리스 운전을 위한 초기 회전자 위치 검출 알고리즘을 제안한다. 일반적인 센서리스 운전 기법 중 역기전력 기반의 센서리스 제어는 영속 및 저속운전에서 역기전력 정보를 추정하기 어렵다. 이를 위해 오픈 루프 기동 기법이 필수적으로 요구되고 일정한 방향으로의 회전을 위해서는 회전자의 초기 위치 검출이 반드시 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 단상 영구자석 동기 전동기의 자기적 특성을 이용하여 고주파 전압 주입 신호에 옵셋 전압을 추가하여 회전자 자극을 검출하는 기법을 제안한다. 다수의 실험 결과를 통하여 제안된 알고리즘의 유효성과 유용성을 검증하였다.

모바일 매니퓰레이터 시뮬레이션을 위한 로봇 물리 엔진의 성능 평가 (Performance Evaluation of Robotic Physics Engine for Mobile Manipulator Simulation)

  • A mobile manipulator is capable of handling a wide range of workspaces by overcoming the limitations of mobility inherent in existing fixed-base manipulators. To simulate the mobile manipulator, two contact operations should be considered in the physics engines. One of these operations is the grasp stability between the gripper and the object, while the other involves the contact between the wheels of the mobile robot and the ground during driving. However, it is still difficult to choose an appropriate physics engine for simulating these contact operations of the mobile manipulator. In this paper, the performance of physics engines for simulating the mobile manipulator is evaluated. Firstly, the grasp stability of the physics engine is quantitatively evaluated based on the contact force discontinuity. Secondly, when the mobile robot is controlled by open or closed-loop control methods, differences in the path taken by the mobile robot depending on the physics engine are analyzed. To assess the performance of robot simulation, three dynamic simulators-MuJoCo, CoppeliaSim, and IsaacSim-are used along with five physics engines: MuJoCo, Newton, ODE, Bullet, and PhysX.

모형 컨테이너 크레인의 파라미터 추정 및 제어;실험적 접근 (Parameter Estimation and Control for Apparatus of Container Crane;An Experimental Approach)

  • 컨테이너 크레인의 수학적 모델 정확도는 모델 내부 파라미터 값의 정확도에 의해 결정되나, 기술적 혹은 환경적인 문제로 내부 파라미터의 정확한 값을 알지 못하는 경우가 빈번히 발생하기도 한다. 이 경우에는 시스템의 입${\cdot}$출력 데이터에 근거하여 모델의 파라미터를 추정해야 하는데, 본 논문에서는 입${\cdot}$출력 데이터와 RCGA가 결합된 모델조정기법을 이용하여 모형 컨테이너 크레인 모델의 파라미터를 추정하는 방법을 보인다. 또한, 이렇게 추정한 모델에 또 다른 RCGA를 적용하여 제어에 필요한 이득행렬을 탐색한다. 제안하는 파라미터 추정법과 제어는 컨테이너 크레인의 모형실험장치에 적용하고, 실험을 실시하여 그 유효성을 검증한다.

광특성분석시스템(BCS)을 이용한 헬리오스타트 태양추적오차의 측정 및 보정 (Measurement and Compensation of Heliostat Sun Tracking Error Using BCS (Beam Characterization System))

  • Heliostat, as a concentrator to reflect the incident solar energy to the receiver, is the most important system in the tower-type solar thermal power plant since it determines the efficiency and ultimately the overall performance of solar thermal power plant. Thus, a good sun tracking ability as well as a good optical property of it are required. Heliostat sun tracking system uses usually an open loop control system. Thus the sun tracking error caused by heliostat's geometrical error, optical error and computational error cannot be compensated. Recently use of sun tracking error model to compensate the sun tracking error has been proposed, where the error model is obtained from the measured ones. This work is a development of heliostat sun tracking error measurement and compensation method using BCS (Beam Characterization System). We first developed an image processing system to measure the sun tracking error optically. Then the measured error is modeled in linear polynomial form and neural network form trained by the extended Kalman filter respectively. Finally error models are used to compensate the sun tracking error. We also developed the necessary image processing algorithms so that the heliostat optical properties such as maximum heat flux intensity, heat flux distribution and total reflected heat energy could be analyzed. Experimentally obtained data shows that the heliostat sun tracking accuracy could be dramatically improved using either linear polynomial type error model or neural network type error model. Neural network type error model is somewhat better in improving the sun tracking performance. Nevertheless, since the difference between two error models in compensation of sun tracking error is small, a linear error model is preferred in actual implementation due to its simplicity.
