A clinical evaluation was done on 120 cases of chest injury patients treated in the department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, Chonnam National University Hospital for the period of 6 years and 3 months from January, 1968 to March, 1974. 1] Of 120 cases, 52 cases[43. 3%] were non-penetrating injuries and 65 cases[56.7%] penetrating injuries. Of them, 107 cases [89.2%] were males and 13 cases[10.8%] were females. 2] The most common etiology was stab wound[64 cases] and traffic accident[23 cases] was the next. 3] In 70% of all cases, treatment was initiated within 6 hours after receiving trauma. 4] The types of lesions in order of frequency were hemothorax[35 cases], chest wall injuries alone. 27 cases], hemopneumothorax [22 cases], pneumothorax[17 cases]. Of them, right sided lesions were 52 cases[43. 3%] and left sided lesions were 65 cases[54.2%] and 3 cases were bilateral lesions. 5] Repeated thoracentesis and closed thoracostomy were the treatment of choice in most cases in order to reestablish early and rapid reexpansion of the lungs. Open thoracotomy was, however, mandatory on 39 cases[32.5%]. 6] The overall mortality was 5.8% [7 cases]; 5 cases of nonpenetrating injuries and 2 cases of penetrating ones.

In the case of driving the SLIM(Single-sided Linear Induction Motor) as the VVVF inverter, the performance of SLIM, which is a thrust, normal force and so on, varies according to a slip frequency as a function of the external load. It is impossible that the open-loop control method control the speed of a SLIM accurately. So that, this paper is proposed the speed control method of a SLIM for a automatic conveyor system with the slip frequency vector control method. To analyze the dynamic characteristics of a SLIM, the state equation is derived from the equivalent circuit of the SLIM, ignored the end effect. The slip frequency and the normal force of SLIM are constantly controlled at the steady state. The simulated results is compared with the experimental values.

The purpose of this study is to analyze various energy platforms using data in the US and to suggest directions and implications. Some of the leading energy platforms are selected and analyzed based on the opening platform model. We focus on the case analysis of the US utility companies. In case of the horizontal open platform, Green Button sponsor's 'Connect My Data (CMD)' driven by the government invites the utility companies to jointly develop the sponsor's data solution. In case of the vertical open platform, the certification program 'Share My Data (SMD)' allows backward compatibility, because the technical improvement is minimal. The utility companies benchmark Amazon's three-sided market mediation and prefer platform and category exclusivity. For the former, they have data analytics companies like Enervee, Opower and for the latter, they have electronics manufactures and energy service providers (ESPs) like Distributed Energy Resources (DERs). Based on this US case study, we suggest the energy platforms to open their platform for renewable energy supply, energy conservation, high-efficiency products, and residential DER dissemination. To successfully implement the government's energy transition policy, the US platforms should be benchmarked as a business model. Especially, it is needed for them to coordinate a platform ecosystem. To ensure trust in the products and services offered on the marketplace platform, platform's certification program is helpful.

Geo-based application services linked with the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) Web Processing Service (WPS) protocol have been regarded as an important standardized framework for of digital earth building in the web environments. The WPS protocol provides interface standards for analysis functionalities within geo-spatial processing in web-based service systems. Despite its significance, there is few performance tests of WPS applications. The main motivation in this study is to perform the comparative performance test on WPS standards. Test system, which was composed of WPS servers, WPS framework, data management module, geo-based data processing module and client-sided system, was implemented by fully open source stack. In this system, two kinds of geo-based image processing functions such as cloud detection and gradient magnitude computation were applied. The performance test of different server environments of non-WPS, synchronous WPS 1.0 and asynchronous WPS 2.0 was carried out using 100 threads and 400 threads corresponds client users on a web-based application service. As the result, at 100 threads, performance of three environments was within an adjacent range in the average response time to complete the processing of each thread. At 400 threads, the application case of WPS 2.0 showed the distinguished characteristics for higher performance in the response time than the small threads cases. It is thought that WPS 2.0 contributes to settlement of without performance problems such as time delay or thread accumulation.

Cleidocranial dysplasia is a rare and autosomal dominent disorder characterized by aplasia or hypoplasia of the clavicles, an open fontanelle, dental abnormalities, and short stature, A 17-year-old female who presented with short stature and subsequent delay in eruption of permanent teeth is described. she showed the abnormal hypermobility of the shoulder, ocular hypertelorism and concave nasal bridge. Radiographs revealed the underdeveloped maxilla, defect of the cranium in the fontanelle region, and aplasia of the clavicles. Characteristically, panoramic view revealed near parallel-sided borders of the ascending ramus and downward curvature of the zygomatic arch with hypoplasia. The prolonged retention of deciduous teeth with delayed eruption of permanent teeth and multiple embedded supernumerary teeth were striking. Radiographic and clinical investigations revealed Cleidocranial dysplasia.

Let G be the general linear group GL(n,$\mathbb{C}$), $W_0$ the Weyl group of G and W the extended a neWeyl group of G. Then it is well-known that W is a union of the double cosets $W_{0x}W_0$ as x moves over the set of dominant weights of W. It is also known that each double coset $W_{0x}W_0$ contains a unique element $m_x$ of the shortest length. These shortest length elements belong to what are called the canonical left cells. However, it is still an open problem to find the canonical left cell containing a given $m_x$. One of the mai purposes of this paper is to introduce a new approach to attack this question. In particular, we will present a conjecture which explicitly describes the canonical left cells containing an element $m_x$. We will show that our conjecture is true for some specific types of $m_x$.

This paper surveys recent remarkable progress in the study of potential theory for symmetric stable processes. It also contains new results on the two-sided estimates for Green functions Poisson kernels and Martin kernels of discontinuous symmetric $alpha$ -stable process in bounded $C^{1,1}$ open sets. The new results give ex-plicit information on how the comparing constants depend on pa-rametrer $alpha$ and consequently recover the green function and Poisson kernel estimates for Brownian motion by passing $alpha{\uparrow}2$. In addition to these new estimates this paper surveys recent progress in the study of notions of harmonicity integral representation of harmonic func-tions boundary harnack inequality conditional gauge and intrinsic ultracontractivity for symmetric stable processes. This is a case of the core reamer breakage during anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction using bone-patellar tendon-bone autograft. A 19-year-old man with acute anterior cruciate ligament rupture had reconstruction surgery. During tunneling in the proximal tibia, the core reamer have been cracked open and broken. Rest of the procedure was performed routinely except the tibial sided fixation of bone block which was performed with larger interference screw than usual. The patient followed the accelerated rehabilitation program. The result was satisfactory at 2 years after surgery.

Cleidocranial dysplasia (previously known as cleidocranial dysostosis) is a well-known, rare and hereditary skeletal disorder characterized by a variety of dental abnormalities and as its name implies, striking involvement of the cranial vaults and clavicles. A 17-year-old female who presented with short stature and prolonged retention of deciduous teeth, subsequent delay in eruption of permanent teeth is described. She could touch her shoulders together at the midline anteriorly. Diagnostic procedures showed hypoplasia of the maxillary and zygomatic bones, open fontanelles and sutures, and aplasia of the clavicles. The paranasal sinuses were absent or underdeveloped. Characteristically, she had near parallel-sided borders in the ascending ramus of the mandible and abnormal-shaped, the slender pointed coronoid process. The zygomatic arches had a downward bend and discontinuity at the zygomaticotemporal suture area. Radiographic and clinical investigations of her cranial and skeletal abnormalities revealed features of cleidocranial dysplasia.

Three types of commercial broiler farms were surveyed to evaluate the effects of housing and production systems on environment and performances in broiler production. Environment condition of broiler house was better in windowless type than vinyl house. Ammonia, carbon dioxide and dust in vinyl house was 28ppm, 2,000ppm, 50.5CPM, respectively. Mortality was higher in vinyl house than that of widowless broiler house. Body weights at the age of 39 days were 1,551g, 1,607g and 1,620g of vinly house, open-sided broiler house and windowless broiler house, respectively. The incidence of abnormal carcass from the vinyl house was higher than those of the others.
