원자료는 행하여진 연구결과를 도출하기까지 발생된 기초자료로써 다듬어지지 않은 자료를 의미한다. 이러한 원자료는 이미 행하여진 연구와 유사한 연구를 진행하는 후속연구자에게 있어 시간과 노력을 절약하는 것이 가능하게 해준다. 본 연구는 인문사회분야의 원자료 제공 서비스인 한국연구재단의 기초학문자료센터에 대한 문헌연구와 해외의 유사기관에 대하여 알아보고 지속가능한 서비스를 위한 방법인 오픈아카이브에 대하여 알아보고자 하였다. 향후 기초학문자료센터의 기 구축된 자료에 대하여 실제 사용자의 만족도를 조사하고 이를 통해 콘텐트의 보완 및 메타데이터 항목의 적절성과 질에 대한 실질적인 연구가 필요하다.

The OAI(Open Archives Initiative) is an evolving protocol and philosophy regarding interoperability for digital libraries. This protocol has its roots in an effort to enhance access to digital libraries as a means of increasing the availability of scholarship communication. Thus, this research outlines the history of the OAI protocol, the basic model of SP(service provider)/DP(data provider), and the prerequisites to implement the OAI protocol. Viewed in this light, this paper also describes the experiences of KERIS project of SP/DP model and lists the differences between prerequisites and KERIS case.

인터넷이 급속히 발전하고 확산되면서 정보를 효율적으로 활용하고 유통시키기 위한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. OAI(Open Archives Initiative)에서는 대용량 정보를 메타데이터를 이용하여 공유하고 검색할 수 있는 프로토콜 및 임프라에 대한 연구와 표준화를 추진하고 있다. 또한 EMAF(An Extensible Multi-Agent Framework)에서는 멀티에이전트를 이용한 정보 유통 및 활용한 대한 연구가 진행중이다. 이에, 본 논문에서는 메타데이타과 XML, 멀티에이전트를 이용한 분산검색 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다. 본 시스템은 조정에이전트와 응용에이전트로 구성되고 에이전트간 통신에는 XML과 OAI의 메타데이타 하비스팅 프로토콜을 응용하였다. 메타데이터에 대한 검색을 수행하여 검색 성능을 높일 수 있었으며 또한 사용자가 입력한 문장 단위의 질의를 처리할 수 있는 기능과 관련어를 추출할 수 있는 기능도 제공한다.

Retrobulbar hemorrhage, especially when associated with visual loss, is a rare but significant complication after facial bone reconstruction. In this article, two cases of retrobulbar hematoma after surgical repair of blow-out fracture are reported. In one patient, permanent loss of vision was involved, but with the other patient, we were able to prevent this by performing immediate decompression after definite diagnosis. We present our clinical experience with regard to the treatment process and method for prevention of retrobulbar hematoma using a scalp vein set tube and a negative pressure drainage system.

Four compounds of a coumarin, a steroid and two flavonoids were isolated from the herba of Artemisia apiacea by open column chromatography. Their structures were elucidated as artemicapin C, apigenin, daucosterol and cacticin by chemical and spectroscopic analysis. This is the first report of the isolation of these compounds from this plant.

Five compounds of terpenoids and coumarins were isolated from the non-polar fraction of Artemisia apiacea by open column chromatography. Their structures were elucidated as $\alpha$-amyrin (1), $\beta$-amyrin (2), $\beta$-sitosterol (3), 5,6,7-trimethoxycoumarin (4) and 6-methoxy-7,8-methylenedioxycoumarin (5) by chemical and spectroscopic analysis. This is the first report of the isolation of $\alpha$-amyrin, $\beta$-amyrin, 5,6,7-trimethoxycoumarin and 6-methoxy-7,8-methylene-dioxycoumarin from this plant.

The dermoid cyst is the one of common space occupying orbital lesion. This lesion is regarded as a non-invasive tumor, but infrequently causes destruction of adjacent bony structure and displacement of adjacent tissue. We experienced a characteristic ovoid orbital dermoid cyst that occupied in the frontal sinus and causes displacement of the eyeball with well-defined lining. This 55-year-old male presented a mass in left orbit, which rapidly increased in size for past 12 months, and patient could not open left eyelid. We removed this tumor totally then reconstructed the orbital roof and frontal sinus with an iliac bone graft and polyethylene sheet(Medpor Newnan, USA). This patient was followed up for 12 months and patient obtained satisfactory result without any complication suck as recurrence or infection.

Orthognathic surgeries often utilize rigid fixation for stabilization of the osteotomy site. The longterm fate of rigid fixations is still under investigation, and whether they should be routinely removed is under debate despite their low complication rates. Here, we report a case where a 26-year-old man suffered high-velocity trauma to his face 7 years after a two-jaw surgery. Computed tomography examination revealed a zygomaticomaxillary complex fracture, and open reduction and internal fixation was performed along with anterior maxillary wall reconstruction using absorbable mesh. Intraoperative examination revealed a broken L-shaped titanium plate near the fracture site with multiple bony fragments near each titanium screw. The rigid titanium system may have caused comminution of the fracture pattern, worsening the severity of the fracture.

Legal deposit system is an essential tool for a national library to ensure the preservation and access to a nation's intellectual heritage over time. Substantial amounts of digital materials of national cultural value are already being published. There is a global trend towards extending legal deposit to cover digital materials in order to maintain comprehensive national archives. This paper gives a progress report of some countries around the world whose legal deposit laws have already updated or are under revision. Some strategies are suggested for the digital collection building of the Korean National Digital Library which will open in 2008.

The only treatment method for crushed soft tissue injuries in the proximal leg involving the knee joint is the microsurgical free flap transplantation, especially latissimus dorsi myocutaneous free flap is useful to cover the extensive soft tissue defects, therefore prevents iatrogenic below knee amputation and facilitates early wound healing, early ambulation and shortens hospital stay. Authors have treated the open amputation with crushed soft tissue and bone injuries in the proximal leg, and the repeated abrasion and infectious wound with traumatic neuroma in the below knee with myocutaneous free flap and succeeded to wear below knee amputation prosthesis and return to normal activities of the daily living in the relatively shorter period than usual.
