Future direction of Public e-Marketplaces focused the Evolution of Business IT (정보기술의 진화과정 측면에서 본 중개형 e-마켓플레이스의 발전방향)

  • In recent years, the number of public e-Marketplaces have grown according to the leap-frogging advancement of network technology based on open communication architecture named Internet. However, the transaction volume through public e-Marketplaces have been an immaterial increase, and some well-known sites closed their businesses. This study proposes the public e-Marketplace as an e-Business system which has been recognized the most strategic application of business information technologies (Barrett & Konsynski, 1982; Cash & Konsynski, 1985), and suggests some future strategic and technological direction which supports a firm's transaction infrastructure under internet architecture. For this purpose, it reviews evolution of business information technologies.

  • Many researches on the usage of shared spectrum have continuously been carried out to solve the recent frequency shortage problem and to use efficiently the spectrum without interference. Also, exponential mobile data growth and the solutions needed to address this challenge are parallel key objectives addressed in many countries. Spectrum policy innovation to meet this challenge is the ASA/LSA (Authorized Shared Access/Licensed Shared Access), which is the best access model to employ the small cell technology to meet this mobile traffic growth. Because 3.5 GHz bands is considered as the ASA/LSA frequency, in this paper, we propose the SAM(Spectrum Access Model) in 3~4 GHz bands to estimate the available ASA/LSA bands and to open more free spectrum. These results are utilized as the data to develop the SAM for the small cell and the open frequency in future.

  • 본 논문은 철강산업의 R&D 역량강화를 위해 IT 부문이 지원할 수 있는 정책을 모색하고 이에 대한 타당성을 검증한 사례연구이다. 기술추격형에서 기술선도형의 전환기에 놓여있는 국내 철강산업이 R&D 역량을 강화하기 위해서는 개별 철강사뿐만 아니라 대학, 연구소 등 외부와의 개방형 R&D 연계체제를 적극 추진해야 한다. 이러한 상황하에서 IT가 R&D 역량 강화를 효과적으로 지원하는 역할을 수행해야 한다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 목적을 갖는 IT 분야의 지원정책들을 개발하고 우선순위 분석, 수요분석 등을 통해 제안된 정책들의 타당성을 검토하며, Triple Helix관점에서 정부, 기업, 학계의 역할을 논의한다.

  • Rapid innovation in ICT is transforming the way we work, the way we interact, the way we learn, and the way we live. In the education and training sector, ICT increases access to learning by making it possible for workers to fit their education into family and work schedules and by providing a greater programmatic choice of quality courses. ICT allows multiple workers to simultaneously enrol in training programs and work in their workplace in order to achieve their particular learning goals in a timelier manner. This paper deals with the ICT conditions, role of ICT, application of ICT, and effectiveness of ICT in the area of workforce development.

  • WebDAV is a protocol to support collaboration among the workers in geographically distant locations through the Internet. WebDAV extends the web communication protocol HTTP/1.1 to provide a standard infrastructure for supporting asynchronous collaboration for various contents across the Internet. To provide the WebDAV functionality in legacy applications such as web-based collaborative systems or document management systems, those systems need to be implemented additionally to handle the WebDAV methods and headers information. In this paper, we developed an Apache-based WebDAV server, named DAVinci(WebDAV Is New Collaborative web-authoring Innovation)which supports the WebDAV specification. DAVinci was implemented as a form of service provider on a mod_dav Apache module. Mod_day, which is an Apache module, is an open source module to provide WebDAV capabilities in an Apache web server. We used a file system for storing resources and the PostgreSQL database for their properties. In addition, the system provides a consistency manager to guarantee that both resources and properties are maintained without inconsistency between resources and their properties.

A comparative study on iPhone 6 Plus and Samsung Galaxy Note 4 from Vietnamese consumer perception

  • The objective of this research is to analyze the product innovation aspect in two comparable smartphones and partly illustrate perception and preference of Vietnamese consumers of two smartphone lines of Apple - iPhone 6 Plus and Samsung - Samsung Galaxy Note 4. The research tries to clarify which innovative features in two smartphones are more preferable to a group of consumer in Vietnam. The reason why the research studies iPhone 6 Plus and Samsung Galaxy Note 4 when iPhone 7 and Samsung Galaxy Note 7 have just released is that passing more than one year is enough time for consumers to totally experience both 2 smartphone lines to give the most precise and truthful evaluation for their preferences. Moreover, iPhone 6 Plus launch signed one of the most historical memorable landmark in the development process of iPhone products when it introduced larger-screen iPhone model for the first time. It is such an important change of iPhone which could open a new continuing successful era for Apple and iPhone. The first phase of this study involves analyzing strengths and weaknesses existed considering the opportunities and threats from the competitive market, then a competitive advantage analysis is implemented for each product. The second phase conducts a survey with Vietnamese participants from different backgrounds, by which a Mann-Whitney U test will be executed to check the significant difference in opinions in different respondent groups by age and by gender to several features of two smartphones. By conducting the survey, some interesting facts revealed with the winner seemingly falling into iPhone 6 Plus. However, it still reveals some significant difference among respondent groups by age and by gender to both iPhone 6 Plus and Samsung Galaxy Note 4 in several comparing features.

Development of WLAN AP based on IBM 405GP (IBM PowerPC 405GP를 이용한 Wireless LAN Access Point 개발에 관한 연구)

  • The evaluation AP embedded Linux board is implemented. The board is made of IBM 405 GP processor, PPCBoot-1.2.1 boot loader, Linux-2.4.21 kernel and root file system. The evaluation board has two flash memories, boot flash and application flash of size 512Kbyte and 16Mbyte, respectively. And it supports IEEE 802.11a which provide the maximum throughput of 54Mbps in the 5.2GHz frequency band. MTD(Memory Technology Device) and JFFS2(Journalling Flash File System version 2) technologies are adopted to optimally package the system software, boot loader, kernel and root file system. And in order to optimize root file system, busybox package and tiny login are used. Linux kernel and root file system is combined together with mkimage utility.

  • The purpose of this paper is to study the send and receive of the message in the both Bolero and TEDI System. Bolero System is the business processes and methods, together with the digital information system, which are provided by Bolero International for communicating Messages and Documents and facilitating business transactions, as well as the Bolero Rulebook and Operating Rules governing their use. On the other hand, The TEDI System replaces a series of trade documents with electronic date, and it realizes secure and reliable transactions of data among parties by means of open networks, such as the Internet. The TEDI system is composed of Web browsers, TC Servers, a RSP Server, and Certification Servers.

  • In these days, almost all existing contents have been digitalized because of development of IT(Information Technology) and the emergence of various distribution channels. Those digitalized Contents has increased so rapidly, particularly Video contents, and brought new market and open new business. Now it became a lucrative industry. Therefore it's necessary to study Digital contents. This study is to find out the factors which have an influence on Intention to Use and Use charged the digital contents. To carry out this study, TAM(Technology Acceptance Model), IDT(Innovation Diffusion Theory) and Use& Gratifications Theory were applied. An empirical method has been adopted, using Likert-style 7 point measurement scale, data were collected by e-mail and direct survey in Daejeon, Korea. On the collected data, after the validity test and reliability test has been taken by factor analysis and using Cronbach's alpha respectively, following 5 variables were extracted such as Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Easy Of Use, Compatibility, Intention to Use and Use.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to design an integrated informatization system that can manage quality & KPI by integrating management systems in the aerospace and defense industry, and study the effect on KPI when applied to related companies. Methods: The 7 management systems required for integration in the AS&D industry were studied, and an empirical analysis was conducted for H company in South Korea for the application of e-QMS integrated informatization & KPI system based on security environment and open quality. Results: The results of this study were analyzed to have an effect on the improvement of customer satisfaction and the positive improvement of quality failure cost in the aerospace and defense industry. And it was analyzed that it works to continuously comply with ethical management and environmental laws and prevent safety accidents. Conclusion: The greatest significance of this study is that it attempted to build an e-QMS integrated system in the aerospace and defense industry. Considering that the case of integrated management system and integrated operation of KPI in related industries has not been introduced in the existing literature, the results of this study will be shared as a meaningful preceding study in the era of digital quality information. In addition, the fact that the open-quality quality innovation methodology emphasizing measurement(M), tracking(T), and connection(C) was actually applied in an AS&D company and its effectiveness was objectively proven. It is expected that it will be a good paper for follow-up research.
