Development Process of Monocoque Frame for Hybrid Bicycle using Bolt Fastening (볼트체결을 이용한 하이브리드 자전거 모노코크 프레임 개발 프로세스)

  • This paper presents the development process for a bicycle monocoque frame using bolt fastening. Traditionally, bicycle frames have been constructed with metal tubes joined at their ends by welding. These frames have been brazed or soldered onto metal lugs, forming the frame. Because stress loads become greatest at the joint of the bicycle tube frame, joint construction strongly influences frame design and construction. To avoid the inherent problems of material discontinuity at frame joints, numerous designers have attempted to reduce or eliminate the number of joints in tube frames. Nevertheless, the manufacture of high quality, reliable, one-piece and jointless frames has proven difficult and expensive. In this study, a new monocoque frame adapted to a hybrid bike is proposed. The advantage of the monocoque frame, is theat is has a rechargeable battery system that is built into the frame; as a result, the emotional quality for the customer is improved. In order to estimate the design compatibility compared with that of tube frames, structural analysis is performed using finite element method. A prototype based on a modified design has also been made and stability testing has been carried out.

  • 본 논문은 지식 기반 정보유통 플랫폼 OntoFrame-K$^{(R)}$ 상에서 추론을 이용하여 연구자 간 협업 서비스를 제공할 수 있도록 하는 DBMS 기반 추론 서비스 OntoThink-K$^{(R)}$에 대해 기술한다. 본 추론 서비스는 URI 서버를 이용하여 RDF 트리플을 생성하고 추론 규칙에 의해 해당 트리플을 확장하며 SPARQL을 통해 질의 결과를 생성해낸다. 특히 이 모든 과정은 DBMS 기반으로 설계 구현되었는데 URI 서버와 성과 비성과 등록 인터페이스를 통해 별도의 추론 엔진을 사용하지 않고도 정합성이 보장되는 지식을 생성 관리할 수 있도록 하며, 불안정한 성능을 보이는 추론 엔진을 이용하지 않기 때문에 안정적인 성능을 보장할 수 있다는 데 그 특징이 있다. OntoThink-K$^{(R)}$는 온톨로지 스키마 트리플, 인스턴스 트리플, 그리고 전방 추론을 통해 획득한 추가 트리플을 포함하는 확장 트리플을 기반 지식으로 하는데, 최종 사용되는 RDF 트리플의 크기는 지식 확장 이전 631,158개, 지식 확장 이후 1,112,100개이다.

  • Green Frame is a Rahmen structure made of composite precast concrete members. According to the concrete design code, a lower rebar of precast concrete girder, should be extended to the inner precast concrete column. However, such extension of lower rebar may sharply reduce its constructability. To satisfy the criteria, the connection and anchorage of beam rebar should be taken into consideration, yet it is difficult to use lapping as it is not easy to ensure enough space when Green Frame method is adopted. To solve this, a new method of lower rebar connection and anchorage was developed, and this study is intended to review economic feasibility prior to applying the method developed onto sites. The study result can be used as basic data for selection of the optimal joint and anchorage method for lower rebar of the green frame construction.

  • 연구자 간 협업을 지원하기 위한 정보 유통 플랫폼은 통제 가능한 검증된 정보의 유통을 보장하여야 한다. 그렇지만, 기존의 정보 유통 관련 연구들은 어떠한 유형의 정보를 유통시킬 것인가, 또는 어떤 명세로 플랫폼을 설계 할 것인가에만 국한되어 왔다. 본 연구에서는 기존 정보 유통 연구들이나 P2P 시스템들에서 다루지 못한 정보 검증과 추적에 초점을 맞추고 있으며, 연구자들을 위한 추론 서비스 제공까지도 가능한 플랫폼의 설계와 구현을 기술한다. 본 정보 유통 플랫폼을 통해 제공되는 서비스는 연구자들의 자발적 정보 교류를 지원하는 정보 유통 서비스와 단순 정보 검색이나 질의 응답으로 제공하기 힘든 지식 서비스로 구성된다. 지식 서비스는 다시 온톨로지를 이용한 지식화 과정과 시멘틱 웹 기반 추론 엔진을 이용한 추론 서비스로 나누어진다. 특히, 본 연구에서는 기존의 시멘틱 웹 기반 시스템들이 보여주지 못한 동적인 지식 추가와 이를 반영한 추론 과정을 연구자 간 협업 지원 서비스 시나리오에 맞추어 구현하였다. 국가 R&D기반 정보 모델링을 위해 온톨로지를 구축하였으며, 한국과학기술정보연구원 내부 성과 정보 2,300여 건으로부터 얻어진 37,656 RDF Triple들을 이용하여 연구자 네트워크, 연구자 추적, 연구 맵 등 세 가지 추론 서비스를 제공할 수 있도록 하였다. 본 연구는 실제적인 시멘틱 웹기반 정보 유통 플랫폼의 실현 가능성을 보여주었다는 데 그 중요성이 있다.

On the Plastic Deformation of Polar-Class Ship's Single Frame Structures Subjected to Collision Loadings (충돌하중을 받는 빙해선박 단일 늑골 구조의 소성변형에 관한 연구)

  • The effects of temperature on the structural behavior of polar class vessels have been experimentally and numerically investigated. Experiments were carried out on single frame structures made of steel material, DH36, which is used for outer shell of the vessels making transit through the polar region. A knife edge type striker was dropped down onto single frame structures. The temperatures of the single frames were set to $-30^{\circ}C$, $-50^{\circ}C$ and room temperature. The deflection around the mid-point of the single frame was measured and numerically simulated using finite element model. Strain rate effect on the structural behavior has been investigated and turned out that the strain rate effect can be neglected. From the results of the experiment and numerical analyses, it has been noticed that the permanent deflection at lower temperature was reduced due to a temperature hardening of material as expected.

Dynamic Behavior of Heterogeneous Impinging Droplets onto High Temperature Plate (고온평판에 충돌하는 비균일혼합액적의 동적거동 특성)

  • In this experiment, a heterogeneous droplet consisted of de-ionized water and olive oil was made through two 31G injection needles. The injection flow rate was $50{\mu}{\ell}/min$ and the droplet size was 2 mm. The droplet was impinged onto a sapphire plate which was heated up to $300^{\circ}C$ by a heater. Two high speed cameras were used for visualization, and the frame rate was 20,000 fps. A 150W metal halite lamp was used for illumination. The dropping height was fixed to 20 mm and the corresponding Weber number was 10.6 based on water. Due to different boiling points of two liquids, partial boiling features of heterogeneous droplet was observed. At the Leidenfrost condition, micro explosion phenomenon has occurred.

A Numerical Study on Particle Deposition onto a Heated Semiconductor Wafer in Vacuum Environment (진공 환경에서 가열되는 반도체 웨이퍼로의 입자 침착에 관한 수치해석적 연구)

  • Numerical analysis was conducted to characterize particle deposition onto a heated horizontal semiconductor wafer in vacuum environment. In order to calculate the properties of gas surrounding the wafer, the gas was assumed to obey the ideal gas law. Particle transport mechanisms considered in the present study were convection, Brownian diffusion, gravitational settling and thermophoresis. Averaged particle deposition velocities on the upper surface of the wafer were calculated with respect to particle size, based on the numerical results from the particle concentration equation in the Eulerian frame of reference. The deposition velocities were obtained for system pressures of 1000 Pa~1 atm, wafer heating of 0~5 K and particle sizes of $2{\sim}10^4nm$. The present numerical results showed good agreement with the available experimental ones.

  • Automotive seat is a part to supply the convenience and safety of driver at driving. Recently, the seat has the role to protect driver from the outside impact or vibration and give the convenience except such a usage as chair. The design on structural function of the seat frame is important like the impact safety and durability. In this study, the seat is designed by adding one hollow rod to the part of seat back frame in order to enhance the structural safety and durability. This study was carried out by using CATIA and ANSYS as the design and analysis programs. As this study result through the structural and vibrational analyses, model 4 was seen to have the durability more superior than the other models. By utilizing this result, it is thought to be the useful material at designing the automotive seat frame with durability. It is possible to be grafted onto the convergence technique at the automotive seat frame and show the esthetic sense.

Robust Multithreaded Object Tracker through Occlusions for Spatial Augmented Reality

  • A spatial augmented reality (SAR) system enables a virtual image to be projected onto the surface of a real-world object and the user to intuitively control the image using a tangible interface. However, occlusions frequently occur, such as a sudden change in the lighting environment or the generation of obstacles. We propose a robust object tracker based on a multithreaded system, which can track an object robustly through occlusions. Our multithreaded tracker is divided into two threads: the detection thread detects distinctive features in a frame-to-frame manner, and the tracking thread tracks features periodically using an optical-flow-based tracking method. Consequently, although the speed of the detection thread is considerably slow, we achieve real-time performance owing to the multithreaded configuration. Moreover, the proposed outlier filtering automatically updates a random sample consensus distance threshold for eliminating outliers according to environmental changes. Experimental results show that our approach tracks an object robustly in real-time in an SAR environment where there are frequent occlusions occurring from augmented projection images.

A study on a development of a measurement technique for diffusion of oil spill in the ocean (디지털 화상처리에 의한 해양유출기름확산 계측기법개발에 관한 연구)

  • A digital image processing technique which is able to get the velocity vector distribution of a surface of the spilled oil in the ocean without contacting the flow itself. This technique is based upon the PIV(Particle Imaging Velocimetry) technique and its system mainly consists of a high sensitive camera, a CCD camera, an image grabber, and a host computer in which an image processing algorithm is adopted for velocity vector acquisition. For the acquisition of the advective velocity vector of floating matters on the ocean, a new multi-frame tracking algorithm is proposed, and for the acquisition of the diffusion velocity vector distribution of the spilt oil onto the water surface, a high sensitive gray-level cross-correlation algorithm is proposed.
