  • As customers' participation in B2C e-commerce increases, customers are getting more involved in the delivery of services, which may even go beyond the completion of service transactions. To examine such proactive extra-role online customer behavior, we delve into organizational citizenship behavior framework, which has been recently extended to examine customer citizenship behavior (CCB) in the service market area. Although CCB is vital for online retailing success, MIS and e-commerce research efforts have generally focused on the customer's customer coproduction that are customer in-role behaviors. Moreover, although the effect of information created by anonymous strangers on other customers increase, interpersonal trust research have focused on only the relationship between a seller and a customer. Therefore, this study attempts to answer two research questions: What are motivational factors that affect CCB? How differently do the two kinds of interpersonal trusts (trust in online retailer and trust in customers) influence customers?

Although studies addressing online information quality have flourished, they have yet to thoroughly examine whether consumers actually use the information they search. The purspose of this study suggests a conceptual framework that examines the potential antecedents of a consumers' willingness to depend on e-health information as an indicator of the consumer's trust of the provided e-health information. The proposed antecedents include healthcare product involvement, online skill level, perceived quality, and credibility of the source. Using structural equation modeling on online survey data, seven hypotheses, which describe the relationships between the variables of the model, were tested. The results indicate that consumer willingness to depend on provided e-health information was significantly influenced by the consumers' perceived quality and credibility of specific e-health information. Consumer involvement in healthcare and their online skill-level, respectively, also positively related to perceived quality and credibility regarding e-health information.

Studied factors include consumers' attitude, subjective norms, perception of behavioral control, perception of usefulness, perceived risks and trust. The expansion of Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) are used as basic theories. We have surveyed people who have experiences on online shopping. There are 836 selected questionnaires that are qualified for data processing. The collected data are analyzed through a process which starts from scale reliability test to exploratory factor analysis (EFA), correlation analysis and regression analysis. The results show that shopping intention of online consumers are positively affected by their attitude, subjective norms, perception of behavioral control, perception of usefulness and trust. In contrast, online shopping intention is negatively affected by the perceived risks that online shopping could bring. Among those factors, the perception of risk is shown to have the strongest influence to online shopping intention. The findings of this study suggest that managers and retailers can apply cash-on-delivery method and design their website with user-friendly interface to enhance online shopping intention of consumers. The Government is also recommended to fulfill the law system to reduce customers' perception of financial risks.

For this, this paper proposes the model to build trust for conduction first trade transaction in e-trade(so-ca1led Trust Matrix Model : TMM). The TMM is based on the idea that for business to business electronic trade a balance has to be found between anonymous procedural trust, i.e. procedural solutions for trust building, and personal trust based on positive past experiences within for first trade situation, because of the lack of experience in these situations. The procedural trust solutions are related in the notion of institution-based trust, because the trust in the procedural solutions depends on the trust one has in the institutions that issued or enforces the procedure. The TMM can be used as a tool to analyze and develope trust-building services to help organizations conduct first -trade electronic trade.

  • The objective of this study is to analyze the relationship between offline trust and use of online service focusing on Internet banking. For this purpose, we suggest an extended version of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) that would explain use or acceptance of infer]nation technology especially in Internet based service areas. In order to connect offline trust with Internet banking use, TAM is extended by adding two variables - technical competence for security services that is one facet of trust on the bank's security technology and security risk that would influence use, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Empirically our model is well proved with low significance level.
