대학영어교육의 활성화 방안 연구 (A study of active college educational English)

  • The purpose of this research is to introduce a new pedagogy for developing English education in the university. It is based on the favorable results of the application of Network English, which is a method that has been used in three classes at Y University for a period of one semester. Network English is a kind of integrated teaching method of offline and online education, and can be a learner-oriented educational method. The online aspect gives learners easier access to the text, regardless of time and place. And in addition to the characteristic of online itself, the various contents in conformity with the learning ability of learners are provided in the text, in order that the learners can get and maintain a desire for study without losing their interest in English. Although the offline part is not much different from traditional classes, the offline education can complement the deficiency of the online and also offer the learners the opportunity for questions and answers. From the results of application of Network English in three classes, the students were satisfied with the method and have more interest in English, which resulted in better grades.

Application of Information Technologies for Lifelong Learning

  • The relevance of the research involves outlining the need for modern professionals to acquire new competencies. In the conditions of rapid civilizational progress, in order to meet the requirements of the labor market in the knowledge society, there is a readiness for continuous training as an indicator of professional success. The purpose of the research is to identify the impact of various forms of application of information technologies for lifelong learning in order to provide the continuous self-development of each person without cultural or age restrictions and on the basis of rapid digital progress. A high level (96%) of need of the adult population in continuing education with the use of digital technologies has been established. The most effective ways to implement the concept of "lifelong learning" have been identified (educational camps, lifelong learning, mass open online courses, Makerspace activities, portfolio use, use of emoji, casual game, scientific research with iVR game, implementation of digital games, work in scientific cafes). 2 basic objectives of continuing professional education for adults have been outlined (continuous improvement of qualifications and obtaining new qualifications). The features of ICT application in adult education have been investigated by using the following methods, namely: flexibility in terms of easy access to ideas, solving various problems, orientation approach, functional learning, group or individual learning, integration of leisure, personal and professional activities, gamification. The advantages of application of information technologies for continuous education (economic, time, and adaptive) have been revealed. The concept of continuous adult learning in the context of digitalization has been concluded. The research provides a description of the structural principles of the concept of additional education; a system of information requests of the applicant, as well as basic technologies for lifelong learning. The research indicates the lack of comprehensive research in the relevant field. The practical significance of the research results lies in the possibility of using the obtained results for a wider acquaintance of the adult population with the importance of the application of lifelong learning for professional activities and the introduction of methods for its implementation in the educational policy of the state.

Functional Requirements to Increase Acceptance of M-Learning Applications among University Students in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA)

  • The acceptance of smartphone applications in the learning field is one of the most significant challenges for higher education institutions in Saudi Arabia. These institutions serve large and varied sectors of society and have a tremendous impact on the knowledge gained by student segments at various ages. M-learning is of great importance because it provides access to learning through a wide range of mobile networks and allows students to learn at any time and in any place. There is a lack of quality requirements for M-learning applications in Saudi societies partly because of mandates for high levels of privacy and gender segregation in education (Garg, 2013; Sarrab et al., 2014). According to the Saudi Arabian education ministry policy, gender segregation in education reflects the country's religious and traditional values (Ministry of Education, 2013, No. 155). The opportunity of many applications would help the Saudi target audience more easily accept M-learning applications and expand their knowledge while maintaining government policy related to religious values and gender segregation in the educational environment. In addition, students can share information through the online framework without breaking religious restrictions. This study uses a quantitative perspective to focus on defining the technical aspects and learning requirements for distributing knowledge among students within the digital environment. Additionally, the framework of the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) is used to modify new constructs, called application quality requirements, that consist of quality requirements for systems, information, and interfaces.

비대면 원격수업 프로그램 개발 - 대학 소프트웨어 실습 중심으로 (Development of non-face-to-face Remote Learning Program - focusing on University Software Practice)

  • 전 세계적으로 코로나 19(COVID-19)의 범유행 장기화는 전 산업에 걸쳐 큰 영향을 주었다. 특히 교육분야에서 온라인 수업(비대면)은 학습 준비 부족과 학습자의 수업 불만 등 온라인 수업에 부정적인 인식이 일부 존재했다. 2020년 실태 조사에 따르면 비대면 수업에 비중은 약 56%이고, 수업 형태가 스트리밍 실시간 수업과 영상 콘텐츠 기반 수업이 대부분을 차지했다. 본 연구는 2020~021년 설문 조사(소프트웨어 활용 실습수업 대학생)를 통해 온라인 수업이 해결해야 할 문제점을 실증 분석하고, 세부 프로그램과 개발 방안(구현 결과)에 대하여 설명한다. 본 연구는 코로나 사태 종식 이후 각 교육기관의 온라인 학습 개발의 발전에 이바지하고자 한다.

교수-학습자간의 콘텐츠 자체 제작을 위한 협력 시스템 개발 (The Cooperation System Development for the Self-production of Content between Instructor and Learner)

  • Online education, commonly referred to as distance education, has developed rapidly. However, it is questionable whether such distance education has been applied to various educational fields and has achieved satisfactory results in terms of learning effect. One of the reasons for not maximizing the benefits of distance education is non-dynamicity in the production and application of educational content. Educational contents production is made up of collaborative work between the instructor who is the contents expert and the developer who is the production expert. For this reason, existing researches have also concentrated on the improvement of each educational effect. In this paper, we propose to replace a production expert from a developer to an instructor. At this time, the important point is that the educational contents produced by the instructor, who is a development non-expert, should still be able to be maintained with high-quality contents utilizing the characteristics of the web. For this purpose, the production system was developed based on open source to maintain the quality similar to the educational contents developed by the production expert. This will increase the effectiveness of education by applying the developed Smart-Blended Learning System to various educational sites.

의학교육에서의 교육정보시스템 활용 (Utilization of an Educational Information System for Medical Education)

  • The teaching and learning environment in medical schools is significantly different from that of other academic fields. An educational information system specifically designed for medical education could be an important solution for the unique context of medical education. In this study, the concept of the educational information system has been reviewed, and how such a system can be utilized effectively for medical education has also been explored. This paper also addresses how learning management systems for online learning could be made more effective through educational information systems. The application of flipped learning, which has been developing rapidly to improve teaching and learning, for medical education was also investigated. In conclusion, it was found that educational information systems could be a solution to various teaching and learning issues in medical schools. In particular, given that high performing students tend to enter medical schools, using educational information systems to improve the teaching and learning environment in medical school should be investigated further.

알고리즘 자동평가 시스템의 개발 및 적용 : 프로그래밍 학습 효과 분석 (Development and application of algorithm judging system : analysis of effects on programming learning)

  • 학습자가 주어진 문제를 해결하는 알고리즘을 작성한 후 그것이 정확한지, 그리고 시간 효율적인지를 확인할 수 있는 알고리즘 자동평가 시스템에 대한 연구가 최근 들어 활발히 진행 중이다. 그러나 기존에 연구되었던 시스템은 대부분 프로그래밍 콘테스트를 위한 Online Judge 방식으로 본 연구에서는 교수 학습 기능을 강화한 클라이언트-서버 기반의 시스템을 개발하였다. 특히, 문제해결력 증진을 위한 교수 학습 설계 모델 CRESST을 토대로 학습자의 메타인지와 동기가 활성화되도록 설계하였으며, 알고리즘 자동평가 시스템의 구성요소인 문제, 채점데이터 세트, 자동평가 프로그램, 사용자서비스 환경 등의 전체 시스템을 구현하였다. 본 시스템의 프로그래밍 학습 효과를 분석하기 위해 초 중 고 학생 39명에 대해서 비동질 통제집단 사전사후측정 실험을 실시하였고, 사후검사에 대한 독립표본 T-검정 결과, 실험집단(18명)의 평균점수가 통제집단(21명)보다 유의미하게 높은 것으로 확인되었다. 이것은 본 시스템을 사용한 교수 학습 방법이 전통적인 교수 학습 방법에 비해 프로그래밍 학습에 더 효과적임을 의미한다.

국내 대학 e-러닝의 운영 특징 및 수강자 요구 조사를 통한 활성화 방안 (Strategies for Revitalizing E-Learning Through Investigating the Characteristics of E-Learning and the Needs of Distance Learners in the Domestic Universities in Korea)

  • 본 연구는 국내 대학의 e-러닝 운영 특징은 무엇이며 이에 대한 수강자의 평가 및 요구사항은 어떠한지를 조사하여 대학 e-러닝 활성화방안을 모색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 운영주체차원의 조사로 10개 일반대학 및 17개 사이버대학의 홈페이지와 언론보도를 분석하여 e-러닝 중점사업을 조사하였으며, 이용자차원의 조사로 Q&A게시판 내용분석 및 수강생 대상 일대일 심층면접을 진행하였다. 조사결과, 국내 대학은 모바일 스마트 캠퍼스 구축, 강의콘텐츠 다양화, 상호작용 시스템 강화, e-러닝 시스템 및 스마트기기 활용교육을 강조하고 있었다. 그러나 e-러닝 수강자들은 모바일에서의 e-러닝 환경이 학사행정에 있어서는 편리하나 과목수강과 관련해서는 불안정하거나 기능이 미흡하다고 느끼고 있었고, 강의콘텐츠는 아직도 특정 형태가 차지하는 비중이 높으며, 강의내용에 따라 차별화된 형태로 운영되는 것이 바람직하다고 응답했다. 또한 운영자 및 시스템의 상호작용보다 수강자 상호간의 상호작용이 활발하게 이루어지길 바라고 있었으며, 일반적인 스마트미디어활용교육이 아닌 강의 및 학습과 관련하여 활용할 수 있는 소셜애플리케이션에 대한 교육을 원하고 있었다. 따라서 국내 대학의 e-러닝 활성화를 위해서는 행정중심적 사업추진이 아닌 교육중심적 e-러닝 환경구축을 목표로 한 실효성 있는 노력이 필요하다.

블렌디드 이러닝이 공학수학 교수·학습에 미치는 효과 (A Study on the Effectiveness the Blended e-Learning on Teaching and Learning of the Engineering Mathematics)

  • 본 연구는 블렌디드 이러닝이 공과대학 학생들의 공학수학 교수·학습에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여 M대학교 기계공학과 3학년 42명을 연구대상자로 선정하였다. 본 연구에서 공학수학 교과목에 블렌디드 이러닝을 적용한 수업은 오프라인에서는 전체 수강생을 대상으로 강의실에서 면대면 수업의 형태로 진행되었고, 수업이 진행되는 동안 수업의 전 과정을 녹화한 후 녹화된 동영상을 LMS에 탑재하여 온라인 상에서 개별 학습이 이루어지도록 하였다. 한 학기 동안 오프라인과 온라인을 혼합한 형태로 수업을 진행하면서 학습자들의 온라인 자료의 활용 실태 및 오프라인 수업에서의 학생들의 태도의 변화 등을 조사하였다. 그 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 공학수학에 적용한 블렌디드 이러닝은 학생들의 자기주도적이고 개별화된 학습에 긍정적인 영향을 준다. 둘째, 블렌디드 이러닝은 공학수학 교수·학습에 긍정적인 영향을 준다. 셋째, 블렌디드 이러닝은 학생들의 수업 만족도에 긍정적인 영향을 준다.
