In this paper, a study on task assignment strategies for a complex real-time network system is presented. Firstly, two task assignment strategies are proposed to improve previous strategies. The proposed strategies assign tasks with meeting end-to-end real-time constraints, and also with optimizing system utilization through period modulation of the tasks. Consequently, the strategies aim at the optimizationto optimize of system performance with while still meeting real-time constraints. The proposed task assignment strategies are devised using the genetic algorithmswith heuristic real-time constraints in the generation of new populations. The strategies are differentiated by the optimization method of the two objectives-meeting end-to-end real-time constraints and optimizing system utilization: the first one has sequential genetic algorithm routines for the objectives, and the second one has one multiple objective genetic algorithm routine to find a Pareto solution. Secondly, the performances of the proposed strategies and a well-known existing task assignment strategy using the BnB(Branch and Bound) optimization are compared with one other through some simulation tests. Through the comparison of the simulation results, the most adequate task assignment strategies are proposed for some as system requirements-: the optimization of system utilization, the maximization of running tasktasks, and the minimization of the number of network node nodesnumber for a network system.
Nowadays, fewer Japanese university students are taking PhD degrees in the U.S.A than Koreans or Taiwanese. The language barrier is considered as one of major reasons for this. This lack of international education is one of the reasons cited, as Japan has been falling behind in industrial globalization. Reading aloud is a good practice for learning a foreign language, since many areas of our brains are simultaneously activated. Furthermore, students have a chance to overcome the psychological barrier in reading aloud in front of others, in a meeting. The authors start the voluntary meeting (which is unrelated to official classes of the curriculum) by reading English articles aloud. Topics in the meeting are selected from articles on web sites, therefore, (1) textbooks were not needed, (2) voice data could be listened to, and (3) the meaning and the pronunciation of an unknown word could be checked by web tools. Once the methodology has been mastered, volunteer students can manage the meeting. The authors introduce our experiments conducted at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Ehime University.

Treatise Yin-Yang is based on Chun-chu-shi-dae and composed in Jen-guk-shi-dae and the systemic constant is effected at the age of Han-dae. This study needs the deep philosophic understanding and principal. In conclusion, the parting and meeting of Yin-Yang is conducted by the parting and meeting of Three-yin-three-yang. In addition, this theory is based on the Taoism. Yin-Yang is embodied by Sky-Ground-Sun-Moon, had the meaning of time and place and accomplished their own rules with identification as one. Taechung and Gwangmyeng are the concretely applied form of the parting and meeting of Yin-Yang at human body. The parting and Meeting of Three-Yin- Three-Yang has six types symbols of circulated Yin-Yang. They have Six-meeting space structure as match like up-down, backside and front-side, left-side and right-side. These pairs express symbolized meaning of creation of Saeng-jang-shu-chang and also apply the same things.

It is noticeable that the number of newly registered Android applications increases rapidly. Such a recent trend indicates the Android platform is spreading globally. The ongoing platform upgrade might be one of the main reasons of the popularity of the Android mobile platform. Android platform 4.0 or later provides WiFi-Direct APIs that allow smart devices to communicate with each other without intermediate media. In this paper, we propose design and implementation techniques for small-scale impromptu meeting applications based on WiFi-Direct. The proposed meeting application can be used in a situation when one is difficult to connect the Internet. It also provides meeting data sharing capabilities, noting functionality, real-time remote screen control, and grouping of meeting participants. Our development results have demonstrated that the Android WiFi-Direct APIs can be effectively applied to impromptu conferencing mobile applications.

Objectives : The purpose is to discuss the clinical applications of Orungsan(Goreisan: 五苓散) as an alternative management for increased intracranial pressure in the field of neurosurgery in Japan. Methods and Results : Attention has focused on Kampo medicine(traditional Japanese medicine) for some cerebral disease including chronic subdural hematoma(CSDH) and cerebral infarction in Japan. Orungsan and one of its classes, Sirungtang(Saireto: 柴苓湯) are well known their effects on brain edema. After some studies of Orungsan has the anti-edemic effects by the inhibition of aquaporin, this herbal medicine has been used widely in the neurosurgery field in Japan. It is high time to think about where we are and we go ahead for the progress and the integration in medicine. We have reviewed the studies using Orungsan or Sirungtang, that was reported at the 20th annual meeting of 'the Japan society for Kampo medicine and neurological surgery' was held on November 5, 2011 in Tokyo. Fifteen studies related with Orungsan or Sirungtang were reported among all 32 studies at the meeting. Orungsan in ten, and Sirungtang in five among 14 studies contained specific clinical case. In the aspects of disease, thirteen papers were related with SDH, including CSDH(11), SSDH(1), aneurism clipping for SDH prevention(1), and one was acute cerebral infarction and one was multiple metastatic brain tumor. In the report style, case control study was 7(mostly retrospective), and the case report was 8. Conclusions : Orungsan may be plausible to be an alternative method to reduce brain edema after SDH and other brain injury in the field of neurosurgery.
One stream of the GDSS(Group Decision Support System) research is to investigate how GDSS affects decision performances of small groups according to task types, support features, meeting facilitation modes and meeting environments. But little study has investigated the effects of group member characteristics on group decision processes and outcomes depending upon whether GDSS is provided or not. To date, most GDSS studies have not controlled group member characteristics(e,g. personality, sex, decision style) in laboratory experiments. However, this study included the decision styles of group members as an independent variable. Therefore, this study investigated how differently members of two different decision styles perceive the use of GDSS in small group meetings through lab experiments. The two decision styles are feeling(F) style and thinking(T) style. We found that the effect of GDSS is a function of individual's decision style only in the communication thoroughness variable. The decision style is a statistically significant factor that can mediate the effects of the group support technology on the perceived communication thoroughness. Specifically, the GDSS is positively related to participants' perception about satisfaction on decision process, goal achievement, communication thoroughness, degree of influence-outward and effort for achieving meeting goals.
Not many years ago, people found the contemporary technology expensive and difficult to use in collaborative type of meetings. Today, with the technology advanced to high standards and accessible at cheaper price, its adaption is becoming more and more ubiquitous with wide range of applications. Today's meeting rooms are not just plain old telephone systems with microphones and speakers. Today's meeting rooms are smart and intelligent. They can identify the participants; they can provide natural view of remote participants; they can proactively manage resources for collaboration and so on. More effective collaboration is possible with deployment of devices like high-definition cameras, advanced displays, sensors, gigabit networks, trackers, pointers, and high-end audio devices. Devices alone are not enough in the meeting rooms. We need software infrastructure to manage the devices and meeting contexts. One such software infrastructure is SMeet, a Smart Meeting space, which we have developed to provide an effective multi-party remote collaboration environment. Networked display systems are used in such advanced collaboration environment for better visualization. In this paper we discuss a novel approach to control and manage networked display systems in SMeet environment.

This study investigates the types and spread of framed structures of gable roofs meeting at right angle showed in old architecture and documentary paintings of houses, which were well liked in the early Joseon Dynasty. The conclusions of this study were as follows. First, the framed structure of gable roof meeting at right angle can be divided or recognized in 4 types according to their structure's size and purlin's position. Three of those types were noted to be in Seoul. Second, the framed structure of gable roofs meeting at right angle begun from the awareness of their independence from one another. Each space was divided based on their functions. Therefore, it could be extended in various forms, not only in the square plan physique but also in many different forms. And allowed free plan configuration regardless of column layouts or size of structure. Third, 5 purlins and 3 purlins crossing structure were preferred in Han-yang, the early Joseon Dynasty. It is related to the specific construction conditions of urban houses, such as the slope of land, limited land area, and economic power. Fourth, urban housing techniques were diffused throughout the country by officials who lived in Kae-gyeong and Han-yang at the end of Goryeo and early Joseon Dynasty. In other regions, framed structure of gable roof meeting at right angle households decreased, but in some regions of Gyeongsang-province, framed structure of gable roof meeting at right angle has maintained with Staggered purlin.
The purpose of the present research is to determine, for a sample of female college students, the effects of body-cathexis and importance of ideal body image on satisfaction with ready-to-wear. The sample included 177 female college students aged from 18 to 25. To measure the variables, an instrument was developed based on previous studies. Body-cathexis and importance of meeting the ideal body image were measured for five areas of body parts; head/upper body, lower body, height, weight, and torso. Satisfaction with ready-to-wear includes satisfaction with the fit at pant length, thighs, hips, waist, bust, and neckline, and with the variety in ready-to-wear. Research hypotheses were tested using multiple regression. The results showed that there was a positive impact of body-cathexis for a specific body area on ready-to-wear satisfaction which is related to the body area. The effect of importance of meeting the ideal body image on ready-to-wear clothing was different in regard to different areas of body parts.
