Development of MPC555-based Controller for Generator Control of HEV (하이브리드 전기자동차 발전기 제어용 MPC555 보드 개발)

  • 본 논문에서는 Motorola사의 MPC555마이크로프로세서를 탑재하여 개발한 제어보드가 소개된다. 이 보드를 사용하여 하이브리드 전기자동차의 발전기를 제어하는 실험을 수행하였다. MFC555는 전력시스템 제어에 필요한 다양한 입출력 장치를 내장하고 있어서 통합제어를 위한 one-chip solution을 가능하게 해 준다. MPC555는 내부 플래시 메모리가 비교적 대용량(448kbytes)이고 부동 소수점 연산이 가능하다. 또한 A/D 채널이 32개이고 SPI(Serial Peripheral Interface) 모듈 1개, SCI(Serial Communication Interface) 모듈 2개, CAN(Contol Area Network) 모듈 2개 등의 다양한 통신채널을 내장하고 있다. MPC555는 TPU(Time Processing Unit) 채널 32개로 다양한 timing function을 구현할 수 있게 해 준다. 개발된 제어 보드를 이용하여 하이브리드 전기자동차의 유도발전기 시스템에 대한 축소 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다.

  • In this study, we designed a digital inclinometer to measure the angle and acceleration signals. Digital inclinometer consists of a tilt sensor, accelerometer, one-chip micro controller and BlueTooth module. Using the developed system, we made an experiment with Roll. The subject is laid on the Roll and rises each foot $90^{\circ}$ and $45^{\circ}$ up, and measures angle and acceleration signals with 100Hz sampling frequency. Through several tests, we could find the possibilities and usefulness which can evaluate normality / abnormality of body posture objectively.

  • This paper describes the design of AATM switch LIS of shared buffer type with linked-list architecture to control memory access. The proposed switch LSI consists of the buffer memory, controller and FIFO memory blocks and two special circuits to avoid the cell blocking. One of the special circuit is a new address control scheme with linked-list architecture which maintains the address of buffer memory serially ordered from write address to read address. All of the address is linked as chain is operated like a FIFO. The other is slip-flag register it will be hold the address chain when readaddress missed the reading of data. The circuits control the buffer memory efficiently and reduce the cell loss rate. As a result the designed chip operates at 33ns and occupied on 2.7*2.8mm$^{2}$ using 0.8.mu.m CMOS technology.

  • This research is concerned with development of the active vibration absorber using piezoelectric actuators. This active isolation system consists of a-pairs of PZT actuators bonded on a S-shaped aluminum plate and the passive damping material. The active system is connected to the passive system in series. In this paper, one of the popular control techniques which have been successfully applied to the smart structure is the Positive Position Feedback(PPF) control. The digital PPF control lows downloaded to the DSP chip and a main program, which runs SISO PPF algorithm. The structure and dynamic characteristics of the proposed active vibration isolation system and described in detail. To demonstate the effectiveness of the active vibration control, the PPF controller is first employed. Experimental results show that the active vibration isolation is possible by means of the proposed system.

  • The application of A.C. motor for servo system is rapidly increased according to the recent advance of power electronics and digital control techniques. The induction motor which has a simple structure and needs less maintenance has become to be used widely in the industrial field for the speed and position control recently. In this paper, the full-bridge resonant inverter is applied to the speed control of single phase inducting motor. The digital PID control algorithm is used and the control parameter is determined by the Zigler-Nichols transient response method. The speed control is carried out by the one chip micro-processor(intel EV 8097BH) and control program is developed by the assembly language. By the experimental result, it is confirmed that the speed of single phase induction motor driven by full bridge series inverter can be smoothly controlled by a digital PID controller.

  • Development of sorting machine for photo diode and its control system is addressed. The sorting machine for optical communication device requires high positional precision because the alignment is one of the most important point in the sorting process. This sorting method describes how to detect the target chip's angle and position from the wafer. The machine vision system is used for the feedback control. This sorting machine is implemented by motion controller, machine vision and various solenoid valve and is interfaced with RS-232c, GPIB and PCI communication. This system gets the position accuracy within $1{\mu}m$ with our experiments.

  • The switching dead time avoiding a bridge leg short circuit in PWM voltage source inverter produces distortions of the controlling inverter output performance such as current waveform, voltage vector, and torque. In this paper, the influence of dead time is investigated. The on-line space voltage vector modulation method is used for current controller. It is possible to compensate dead time by space voltage vector modulation which generates additional pulse compensating voltage distortion caused by dead time. In addition, narrow pulse which is generally neglected can be compensated. All the algorithms, including field-oriented control are performed by one chip microprocessor 80C196MC and DSP TMS320C31. Experimental results probe that the proposed scheme provides a good inverter output performance.

  • A lot of research for system-on-panel(SOP) have been done to integrate display systems including data driver, gate driver, timing controller, DC-DC converter, and smart functions such as embedded touch screen, ambient brightness sensing and luminance control, finger printing on the glass. Recently, the cost of an one-chip driver IC with various functions has decreased rapidly, and new mobile display interface technologies have been introduced. So it is necessary to examine the feasibility of SOP for practical mobile applications. In this paper, we will re-examine LTPS technologies for mobile displays in terms of various aspects and discuss the practical limitations on SOP technology and future technology trend of mobile displays.

  • Most of the battery charger for electric powered forklift truck are controlled by the method of 3-phased constant current and constant voltage. However, these chargers have several disadvantages like a large charger capacity, and a short battery life time. This paper presents a digital type battery charger based on multi-mode control adding a constant power control and several assistant controls in the conventional control. The whole control system is performed by a low cost one-chip micro-controller and completely digitize. So we can get a high precision control and a good reliability.

  • A novel AC-DC switching technology is suggested without inductors for one-chip semiconductor. The suggested converter consists of a rectifier diodes, AC source level detector, switching control, detector of over-current and voltage, feedback controller and switching block, The key technology of the proposed AC-DC converting methode is detecting of the low level voltage for AC voltage, power control transistor and rectifying of DC level. The measurement results with commercial devices show that the converter has power efficiency of 66.5% for DC 12V 0.24A and the standby power is 49.58mW at AC 110V.
