  • The question of what our cultural goods might have known in a major exporting market, has intrigued investigators since 2000 year. Actually, Maybe Korean cultural assets just didn't have time to get to know International or Asia market. But now, a new euphoria can be tasted, on the lips of the small but growing Korean Contents Mania, as New Korean Wave-Crust begin to welcome the priciest contents from korea. Given Asian's surging population for our entertainment contents-drama, movie, music, character, etc., and the sense of a positive response its newly international market, it is hardly surprising. Now, Korea Wave must play an important roles in our country- economy, business, specially. This paper is seeking in OSMU on Korean Contents in East-North Asian Market, and is developing about Korean Wave study model. and It also points to a different strategy for exporting cultural contents, suggesting it should be effected for model to OSMU.

  • 방송통신 융합 환경에서 공공서비스를 제공하기 위한 표준화나 규격정립이 안되어 있어 현 시점에서 대국민 서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 IPTV 사업자별로 별도의 IPTV 서비스 개발 및 제공이 필요하며, 이에 따른 중복투자 및 운영의 비효율성이 우려된다. IPTV기반 방통융합공공서비스를 제공함에 있어 공공기관과 IPTV사업자들의 중복투자를 막고 효율적인 서비스 제공을 위해 복수의 공공기관과 복수의 IPTV사업자간 효율적인 서비스연동 및 통신망 연동을 위한 체계 정립이 필요하다. 또한 One Source Multi-use 구현을 위한 ACAP-J기반의 서비스 표준플랫폼 정립을 통한 상호 연계 방안 확립이 요구된다. 이에 본 논문에서는 ACAP-J기반의 One Source Multi-use를 위한 양방향VOD형 공공서비스 제공 방안과 관련 규격을 제안한다.

  • Drama CD는 One source multi use의 한 사례로써 다양한 콘텐츠 사업이 잘 연계되어 있는 일본에서는 이미 널리 활용되고 있는 콘텐츠이며 그에 따라 수익창출도 상당한 수준이다. 일본에 이웃한 한국에도 일본의 Drama CD가 영향을 미쳐, Drama CD가 발표되어왔고 일반 드라마 제작 이전의 테스트 베드로써 활용하는 수준까지 이르고 있다. 그러나 한국 콘텐츠 분야에서 Drama CD의 마켓 쉐어는 아직 그 입지가 크지 않으며, 또한 자체적인 잠재력에 비해 오락적 요소로서만 한정되어 활용되어 왔다. 본 논문에서는 Drama CD가 한국 시장에 One source multi use의 한 사례로써 Educational Content를 중심으로 가능성이 있는지에 대해 알아보고, 이와 함께 Drama CD를 활용할 수 있는 Educational Content 사업분야와 시장성에 대해 알아보고자 한다.

MUVIS: Multi-Source Video Streaming Service over WLANs

  • Video streaming over wireless networks is challenging due to node mobility and high channel error rate. In this paper, we propose a multi-source video streaming (MUVIS) system to support high quality video streaming service over IEEE 802.1l-based wireless networks. We begin by collocating a streaming proxy with the wireless access point to help leverage both the media server and peers in the WLAN. By tracking the peer mobility patterns and performing content discovery among peers, we construct a multi-source sender group and stream video using a rate-distortion optimized scheme. We formulate such a multi-source streaming scenario as a combinatorial packet scheduling problem and introduce the concept of asynchronous clocks to decouple the problem into three steps. First, we decide the membership of the multisource sender group based on the mobility pattern tracking, available video content in each peer and the bandwidth each peer allocates to the multi-source streaming service. Then, we select one sender from the sender group in each optimization instance using asynchronous clocks. Finally, we apply the point-to-point rate-distortion optimization framework between the selected sender-receiver pair. In addition, we implement two different caching strategies, simple caching simple fetching (SCSF) and distortion minimized smart caching (DMSC), in the proxy to investigate the effect of caching on the streaming performance. To design more realistic simulation models, we use the empirical results from corporate wireless networks to generate node mobility. Simulation results show that our proposed multi-source streaming scheme has better performance than the traditional server-only streaming scheme and that proxy-based caching can potentially improve video streaming performance.

  • Recent research on mobile Internet protocol television and digital right management (DRM) interconnections has focused on multimedia technologies designed to enhance content scalability and adaptive content distribution. However, due to the architectural and scalable limitations, recent systems are not flexible and securable with respect to their adaptive content distribution and protective policy management. Therefore, we propose a content protective multi-agent platform that provides secure multimedia services, correlation management, pattern-based management, and multi-source multi-use (MsMu)-based services. Our architecture, supported by DRM, lets us create a rich set of MsMu-based content protection and seamless multimedia services through the extension of one source multi-use (OsMu)-based content services. We have verified our platform, which provides scalable and securable services with a 17% lower service response time by using a testbed.

Development of multi-line laser vision sensor and welding application (멀티 라인 레이저 비전 센서를 이용한 고속 3차원 계측 및 모델링에 관한 연구)

But this vision sensor cannot satisfy new trend which feeds foster and more precise processing. The sensor's sampling rate increases as reduced image processing time. However, the sampling rate can not over 30fps, because a camera has mechanical sampling limit. If we use multi line laser pattern, we will measure multi range data in one image. In the case of using same sampling rate camera, number of 2D range data profile in one second is directly proportional to laser line's number. For example, the vision sensor using 5 laser lines can sample 150 profiles per second in best condition.

  • In the field of game design, scenarios are essential part. But general-purpose tools for production of game scenarios have not been developed yet. In order to solve these problems, we studied the difference between game scenarios and other scenarios and analyzed scenario UCC(User Created Contents) and created suitable forms of game scenarios. To make OSMU(One Source Multi Use) easier, we use XML-based format of game scenario. To verify the possibility for practical application of XML-based format, we wrote a game scenario with scenario editor that we made and applied it to scenario-based game 'FEEL Online'.
