  • In order to prohibit the delay of early stage hydration activator Na2SO4 was added to Fly Ash blended ce-ment and its effects were investigated. Various measurements such as Compressive strength Heat of hy-dration Pore size distribution Hydration products Microstructure were evaluated and the results show that specimens of Fly Ash(50wt%) with 5% Na2SO4 dramatically improved the compressive strength because pozzolanic reaction of Fly Ash and the formation of ettringite make th microstructure denser than OPC and flyash cement paste.

  • We studied on the watertightness improvement of cementitious material for durability enhancement of concrete. For improvement of watertightness of OPC and OPC with fly ash, we used various materials with watertightness properties to OPC and OPC with fly ash. The performance of watertightness improvement of cementitious materials closely related to formation of CSH by pozzolanic reaction and to reducing of size of contact angle in cement pore by using organic fatty acid. And volume of CSH formation at early hydration have an influence of watertightness improvement and reduction of long-term water absorption rate. In using of fly ash, improvement of workability by using the spherical fly ash caused to densify on the structures of cement material and CSH formation by pozzolanic reaction and cement using fly ash also caused watertightness improvement of cementitious materials. For improvement of concrete durability by watertightness, cementitious materials need using watertightness materials and at using fly ash, also it have to the effect of improvement of watertightness of cementitious materials by pozzolanic reaction.

  • Three years($2004{\sim}2007$) survey was conducted on the incidence of silkworm diseases namely, Grasserie, Flacherie, Muscardine and Uzi fly, a silkworm pest with 150 sericulture farmers in the districts of Chittoor and Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh. The data revealed that grasserie and flacherie incidence were maximum in summer season and minimum in winter season whereas muscardine was observed high in winter season in both the areas and rarely in rainy season in Chittoor and Anantapur districts. An improvement of 11.16 and 7.6 kg cocoons/100 dfls were recorded in the batches of PM xCSR2 Diseases free layings(Dfls) reared in rearing houses disinfected with 2% bleaching powder and Ankush, a plant based bed disinfectant applied as per schedule, respectively. The Uzi fly incidence was suppressed by 61.02% in batches where the integrated package was adopted for control of Uzi fly infestation.

  • Fly Ashes which are produced from coal-fired powder plants and classified as general waste can be used as raw materials for bricks and tiles because of their compositional similarity with clays. There was a limit of substituting fly ash for clay because plasticity decreased with increasing fly ash additions. Accordingly this study tried to suggest a feastibility of enhancing the substitution ratio by controlling the interfacial properties of fly ash. The slip with 1:1 volume ratio showed that best dispersive characteristics under the condition of pH 2 Filter pressed cakes made of pH 2 slips also showed better plastickity than those of untreated ones. of pH 2 Filter pressed cakes made of pH 2 also shwoed better plasticity than those of untreated ones.

  • Increased costs for cement have favoured the use of supplementary cementing materials in concrete. The use of fly ash in concrete has increased in the past few years. Concrete have been selected for use as a construction material in aggressive environment. The use of fly ash as concrete material has a role, and an understanding of its effect on concrete durability is essential to its correct and economical application. In this study, durability tests including permeability, freezing thawing resistance for Korean fly ash concrete are conducted. The durability characteristics of fly ash concrete are discussed.

  • The pupose of h s study was to develop a process for removal of unburnzd carbon li-om fly ash by froth flotation. "Carbon zero (C.Z)" develqcd by KIGAM, gave the best results, praduci112 cleaned fly ash containing abom 0.1% FC with 72% yieldBased on the results of batch flotation tests, the pilot-scale tests wcre conducted. The result showed that cleaned fly ash with 0.1% FC could be recovered by about 73% yield.t 73% yield.

  • The hydration behavior of fly ash and slag on cement paste were investigated. Early stage of hydration reaction was delayed by mixing fly ash and/or slag with cement, but production of C-S-H hydrates by pozzolanic reaction densified the microstructure. The Ca/Si ratio of C-S-H hydrates in OPC and blended cement of fly ash 50%, slag 50%, fly ash+slag 50% were 2.24, 1.80, 1.82 and 1.97, respectively. The C-S-H gel with low Ca/Si ratio showed rather reticulate than needle-like structure.

  • For the machining of freeform surface, fly cutting is one of the key technology to meet profile accuracy and surface roughness simultaneously. Fly cutting can be applied to manufacturing of optical components with complex profile. In this study aluminum alloy was machined in the process of ultra precision fly cutting and investigated optimum machining conditions in terms of feed-rate, pitch per cycle and depth of cut.

  • The problematic effects of fly creation on circular knitting machines during the knitting process were investigated in order to develop a new method for tackling the problem. A new idea, i.e. coating the yarn surface with a polymer film, was studied. Important physical properties of the coated yarm were studied and compared with normal yarn. A new test-rig was designed to measure the coefficient of friction and the degree of shedding of yarn. Yarns were coated with seven polymer materials and the performance of the coated yarns was tested and the results are discussed.

  • In spite of the various techniques on the testing of embedded software, operation failures of embedded systems such as robot or satellite applications, are occurred frequently. The critical reason of these failures is due to the fact that software is embedded into a target system with inherent faults. Therefore, in order to prevent the failure owing to such faults, it needs a technique to test the embedded software which operates in real environment. In this paper, we propose a testing technique, aspect-based On-the-Fly testing that is to test the functionality and performance at real operation time. Our proposed technique gives some benefits of real test of unexpected input conditions, prevention of software malfunction, and reusability of aspect components for the testing.
