With increasing of communication technology in cyber-space, the space of consumer complain behavior moved from off-line to on-line, so called anti-site. No researches, however, really have done how the anti-sites worked for promoting consumer rights through consumer complain behaviors in cyber space. The purpose of this research was to give some suggestions for activating anti-site for promoting consumer rights. For this purpose, questionnaire on-line survey was conducted from April, 12 to 24, 2004. And 143 samples, who were visiting anti-site during survey period, were selected. Main findings were as following: First, visitors had rather positive confidence with informations in anti-sites. Second, visitors thought that anti-sites were working rather well in implementing consumer movement by sharing their experiences, and by supporting complaining space in cyber. Visitors, however, thought that anti-sites were not working well as a space for companies, not by giving their attentions on consumers' complains. Third, the satisfaction level of visitors was found to be rather high in terms of informations in anti-sites, and to be rather low in terms of companies' attentions on anti-sites and management of anti-sites. Based on results, some suggestions of activating anti-site for promoting consumer rights were as following: First, visitors should not only get information, but support new and useful informations for others. And also it was suggested that visitors should join consumer movement through anti-site actively. Second, companies should pay attentions on anti-sites for their sake because anti-sites could give very useful information improving customer satisfaction, and finally reducing cost and increasing profit.

Electronic commerce has provided another access for consumers to purchase products, but some researches have pointed out that there are difficulties for companies to do business on web. For lack of trust, many people not prefer purchasing through virtual channels. Based on the literature review, this study aims at empirically testing the impact of website design on individual trust in internet firms. From statistic analysis, we will conclude that security, interaction, and navigation functionality will affect on-line trust.
232 internet sites in Yahoo and Empas were monitored to analyze what good contents of nutrition information on line have for the internet searchers. As the sites on line were disappeared frequently, all the monitored sites were selected on April 25, 2003. 3 disciplined personnels analyzed the contents of the selected sites by using self-developed monitoring format. The results are as follows. Most of sites were administered by the marketing companies and only 8% by public institutions, associations and school. Especially, most of the contents of the sites by marketing companies were advertisement about their goods instead of nutrition information. Only 42.6% of sites indicated the sources of nutrition information. Only 10.3% of site administrators responded about on-line questions quickly within 1 day. Moreover, 46% of sites were not conformed their answering periods. On the other hand, 94.8% of sites offered more than 1 feedback methods. Monitors checked purposes offering on-line informations plurally. Leading purpose was for advertising and marketing their goods(59.5%) and 47% of them were opened for offering food and nutrition information. They offered various informations at the same time. More than half of the sites had the menus for food and nutrition information and connected sites, but the other half of them only advertised their own goods. Positive sides from monitored informations were as follows : 'communicating informations easily' (8.7%) / 'definite informations for daily living' (7.2%) / 'beneficial informations for nutritional management' (4.6%) / 'new informations' (2.1%). Negative sides of offered information were ‘not enough to give scientific basis and/or to simplify special evidences too much’(60.8%) / ‘to exaggerate the contents’ (41.4%) / ‘not to indicate the notice of side effect and/or to advertise that there are not side effect from using their goods’ (34.1%).

As the online industry is vitalized by the fashion market, there is a tendency to believe that the recruitment of manpower in the online distribution field is increasing. Thus, this study attempts to analyze the job types and job functions for recruitment in the fashion industry based on job search sites and based on this, suggest an educational direction within the department of fashion design. First, when examining the size (number of employees) of fashion companies that posted jobs, the fashion companies with 30 or fewer employees accounted for 60.7% of the postings, and the location of the fashion companies was most commonly in Seoul with 144 companies located in Gangnam (Seocho-gu, Gangnam-gu). As for the recruitment conditions of the fashion companies, "academic level-irrelevant" was the highest with 42.6%, and in terms of gender and age, 59.3% of the cases were marked as "gender and/or age-irrelevant". Examining the types of jobs for recruitment in the fashion industry, fashion designers were the most popular at 52.6%, followed by on and off-line companies' MD, VMD, and stylist in that order. In the results of examining job function change, it is thought that the fashion design department should have basic educationon in that respect.
The trial business of e-trade service providers for supporting small enterprises to find their markets abroad is about to begin from the end of March, 2003. The department of Industrial Resources held the "Committee of e-trade service provider selection" with professors of e-trade field, and selected three companies: ECplaza, EC21 and Tpage Global. The e-trade service providers combine the various technologies of on-line trades and off-line trades to support small enterprises with lack of marketing skills by intermediation of overseas buyers and production, registration of e-catalogs and offers, administration of inquiries, trade negotiations, and contract settlement. Prospective small enterprises with exports under US$ 5 million will be selected by 2005. The selected companies will be supported fully by the government, and will be provided with the services by the e-trade service providers. e-Trade service will be the most potential and successful ones in the future, which helps traders and organizations preparing for globalization.

The tilde use of Information Technology (IT), especially the rapid diffusion of the internet, brings us a new paradigm, called "Electronic Commerce," or "Digital Economy." The paradigm is regarded as a business strategy essential to organizations′competitive advantages. Because few studies have been shown in the area of e-strategies, especially in the combined strategies of clicks and mortars, a study of this area is required. The main questions of this study are empirically to validate the usefulness and applicability of a decision roadmap and to analyze the situation of Korean firms in the view of the decision roadmap. Major results of this study are as follows : First, there is an evidence that the roadmap can be applied to Korean firms regardless of their industry and size. Second, the usefulness of the roadmap is proved because companies following the directions of the roadmap show high degree of satisfaction with online sales. Third, Korean companies in general do not achieve an Ideal Integration (or separation), especially In terms of management and operation. In conclusion, this study provides an e-business strategy Planner some guidelines about how to achieve right mix of on-line and off-line business.

In a deregulated electricity generation market, the sufficient capacity of transmission lines will promote the competition among generation companies (Gencos). In this paper, we show that Gencos' possession of rights to collect congestion rents may increase the competition effects of the transmission lines. In order for concrete analysis on this effect, a simple symmetric market model is introduced. In this framework, introducing the transmission right to the Gencos has the same strategic effects as increasing the line capacity of the transmission line. Moreover, the amount of effectively increased line capacity is equal to the amount of the line rights. We also show that the asymmetric share of the financial transmission rights may result in an asymmetric equilibrium even for symmetric firms and markets. We also demonstrate these aspects in equal line rights model and single firm line rights model. Finally, a numerical example is provided to show the basic idea of the proposed paper.
Purpose - Despite the importance of price, many companies do not implement pricing policies smoothly, because typical price management strategies insufficiently consider logistics efficiency and an increase in logistics costs due to logistics waste. This study attempts to examine the effect of product line pricing, which corresponds to product mix pricing, on logistics efficiency in the case of manufacturer A, and analyzes how logistics performance changes in response to these variables. Research design, data, and methodology - This study, based on the case of manufacturer A, involved research through understanding the current status, analyses, and then proposing improvement measures. Among all the products of manufacturer A, product group B was selected as the research object, and its distribution channel and line pricing were examined. As a result of simulation, for products with low loading efficiency, improvement measures such as changing the number of bags in the box were suggested, and a quantitative analysis was conducted on how these measures influence logistics costs. The TOPS program was used for the Pallet loading efficiency simulation tool in this study. To prevent products from protruding out of the pallet, the maximum measurement was set as 0.0mm, and loading efficiency was based on the pallet area, and not volume. In other words, its size (length x width) was focused upon, following the purpose of this study and, then, the results were obtained. Results - As a result of the loading efficiency simulation, when the number of bags in the box was changed for 36 products with low average loading efficiency of 73.7%, as shown in
, loading efficiency improved to 89.9%. Further, from calculating logistics cost based on the cost calculation standard of manufacturer A, the amount of annual logistics cost reduction amounted to 101,458,084 KRW. Given that the sum of the logistics cost of the product group B of manufacturing enterprises A is 400,340,850 KRW, it can be reduced by 25%, to 298,882,766 KRW. Although many methods improve loading efficiency, this study proved that logistics cost could be reduced by changing the number of bags within boxes. If this measure is applied to other items, visible logistics cost reduction effects will be realized through improvements in loading efficiency. Conclusions - Future pricing policies should consider their correlation with quality, loading efficiency, product specifications, and logistics standardization to prevent logistics waste, enabling management to improve earnings for companies. Thus, when companies decide pricing policies for new products, the aspects of merchandising and marketing should take priority; however, the aspect of logistics also needs to be considered as significant. Measures revealed by the study results are not only the responsibilities of manufacturing enterprises. Pricing policy agreements between manufacturing enterprises and distribution companies, and logistics factors related to price determination should be considered; further, governments should also support them for their collaborations. This will enable consumers to purchase quality products with low prices.
The home furnishing and living market is growing because of the increasing interest of consumers in living spaces. In this trend, global fashion companies are seeking to increase sales by expanding their businesses by launching their own home lines or brands early, taking advantage of the various advantages of each brand. In response, this study was designed to examine the strategies necessary for domestic fashion brands to pursue their business in the future by conducting a case study and characteristics analysis of the living brands of foreign fashion companies in line with the trend of expanding their living-related businesses. The following is an analysis of the characteristics of the living brands of global fashion companies. First of all, utilizing the brand awareness of fashion companies; second, the strength of unique textile designs; and third, the expansion of synergy through the expansion of the business into various fields. Fourth, the lack of diversification in materials suitable for living products; fifth, the lack of information on quality; sixth, the lack of space and contents for living areas. Finally, a living brand strategy of a domestic fashion company was proposed as follows. First, it proposed collaboration with textile design companies and designers; second, it proposed exploring business models through the inclusion of brand licenses; and third, it proposed expanding the planning of living products of private brand by distribution companies.
Purpose - This study's purpose is to analyze which factors are more important to strengthening the competitiveness of global innovative companies by firstly sampling global 40 enterprises, secondly investigating of study models empirically, thirdly finding out significant implications through research, and finally using this result to help improve global companies' competitive edges. Design/methodology - Developing three research models of hypothesis and using 5 variables such as technology innovation, knowledge management, human resource development, sustainable management, and corporate life, this study was empirically carried out by reliability and validity testing, correlation analysis of variables, and multiple regression analysis of three research models. Findings - Through proceeding empirical analysis study, we found out that technology innovation and sustainable management had a significant impact on strengthening competitiveness through the hypothesis test. Those two factors had positive results and a synergy effect through correlation analysis along with process change and human resource development, which are also important areas in global innovative companies. Originality/value - In line with the fourth industrial revolution era's acceleration and COVID-19's large impact on all industries, global companies are newly developing their business models to cope with external environment change. This study's results would be meaningful for global enterprises and domestic companies to improve their overall competitive edge by reinforcing their innovation strategy, preparing next growth engines, diversifying business portfolios, and setting business milestones.
