Single Line-to-ground Fault Location and Information Modeling Based on the Interaction between Intelligent Distribution Equipment

  • In this paper, the fault line selection and location problems of single line-to-ground (SLG) fault in distribution network are addressed. Firstly, the adaptive filtering property for empirical mode decomposition is formulated. Then in view of the different characteristics showed by the intrinsic mode functions(IMF) under different fault inception angles obtained by empirical mode decomposition, the sign of peak value about the low-frequency IMF and the capacitance transient energy is chosen as the fault line selection criteria according to the different proportion occupied by the low-frequency components. Finally, the fault location is determined based upon the comparison result with adjacent fault passage indicators' (FPI) waveform on the strength of the interaction between the distribution terminal unit(DTU) and the FPI. Moreover, the logic nodes regarding to fault line selection and location are newly expanded according to IEC61850, which also provides reference to acquaint the DTU or FPI's function and monitoring. The simulation results validate the effectiveness of the proposed fault line selection and location methods.

  • This study is objected by suggesting rationalization method of management and maintenance cost for railway investment assessment. The estimate of rational benefit and cost are a work of vital importance to decide railway investment as preliminary feasibility investigation is institutionally reinforced since January 2007. In particular, railway management and maintenance cost have to be applied to realistic and detail cost as railway investment assessment guide. For example, types of railway, construction of new line, improvement of conventional line, double tracking, railway electrification. However, railway investment assessment is inconsistency because of estimating the railway management and maintenance cost using existing unrealistic management and maintenance cost. Therefore, this study is performed parametric analysis effecting on the railway management and maintenance cost considered new technique, enhanced facilities and improved standard. Also, it suggests the itemized standard management and maintenance cost. Finally, it will be helped to establish the base of railway investment through the rationalization method of management and maintenance cost.

  • 가동중정비(OLM : On-Line Maintenance)란 발전소 건전성 유지를 위해 운전 중에 수행하는 예방정비 활동으로 특히 안전설비에 대해 운전 중에 수행하는 예방정비 활동을 말한다. 국내 원자력발전소에서는 2009년부터 가동중정비 도입을 위한 타당성검토를 수행하였고 2010년 규제기관에서도 규제지침에 대한 연구과제를 완료하여 가동중정비 도입을 검토하였으나 후쿠시마 사고 등 원자력발전소의 대외여건 변화 등으로 도입검토가 중단된 상태이다. 하지만 원전의 안전성과 운전성을 향상시키기 위하여 근본적인 대책 수립이 요구되고 있는데 이를 위하여 필요한 가동중정비가 왜 필요한지 어떠한 효과가 있는지 등에 대하여 고찰하여 보았다.

  • In order to give handiness to the management of the existing street lighting system which is based on the one way communication and to reduce the maintenance cost, the power line communication filter in the two way communication which is based on the CDMA communication and power line communication was improved and accordingly the stability of the communication performance was improved. Also, the efficiency of existing street lighting system and smart street lighting system was evaluated as Visual studio system. As a result, when the number of street lights is 10,000, the hours of daily work fell 50% and the number of necessary maintenance staff decreased 40%. Compared to the maintenance costs of the existing street lighting system, it could be expected to have the cut costs of almost 100 million won a year on the basis of 60 switch board and 1,200 street lights.

  • The rolling-stocks used in conventional line have suffered wheel problems due to lack of adaptability with track. These brought out severe wheel wear and inefficiency of wheel maintenance. Especially, tight wheel maintenance criteria have caused waste factors of wheel machining, these increases rolling-stock maintenance costs.   • The poor maintenance and management of HVAC systems finally lead to the shortening of the life expectancy and result in the increase of operating costs and energy consumptions due to low efficiencies. Also, it is essential to try to develop ways to adequately maintain and to use the building facilities efficiently in order to preserve earth environment and the limited resource. In this study, an analysis on the maintenance and management cost for HVAC systems was carried out with the capacity of equipment. Besides, the LCC(Life Cycle Cost) based analysis was carried out to verify the effect of the doing maintenance and management. As the results, the case of the good maintenance and management is able to save LCC to 11 % than the case of the poor method.

  • RIMS(Rolling Stock Information Maintenance System) was installed in structure which it can analyze the data base in need of credibility maintenance. So it could accumulate real data without repulsion of working spot. Information system was installed not following to system but following to working spot. The development of RIMS project was started from March 29, 2001 and it has been operating from October 12, 2004 in Chang-dong Car depot for light maintenance in charge subway line4. So substantial data base was accumulated for three years. This study calculated all RAMS data by analyzing data base accumulated in RIMS and used in dada base about credibility maintenance and found investigation of propriety, expectation of the life cycle cost, the improvement plan on credibility of sorts of cars and formation about the cycle of repairing and maintenance. This got MKBSF MKBF and MTBF about devices and sorts of line4 Rolling Stocks for it.

  • This paper presented a case study on the application of on-line wear monitoring technique to a high duty air-turbo-compressor system. Main objects monitored were a gear unit and metal bearings, both shown frequent troubles due to the severe operation conditions at heavy dynamic load. The air-turbo-compressor system needs secure condition monitoring because it is one of the main utilities in steel making industry. Temperature and vibration characteristics have been mainly on-line monitored in this system for a predictive maintenance; however, it has been shown that they are not fairly good enough to give an early warning prior to the machine failure. In this work, an on-line Opto Magnetic Detector(OMD) was implemented for an on-line wear monitoring, which quantitatively measured the contamination level of both ferrous and non-ferrous wear particles by detecting the change in optical density of used oil. Results showed that the application of on-line OMD system was satisfactory in diagnosis of the machine system.

선로등급 및 검측차 검측정보를 고려한 철도시설 유지보수비용 산정에 관한 연구 (Study on the Maintenance Cost of Railway Infrastructure Using Line Classification and TMV Data)

  • 신규 철도노선의 건설을 위한 타당성 검토시 관련 유지보수비용은 궤도연장을 기반으로 여러 요인을 단순화하여 예측하고 있으나 UIC 714의 선로등급 및 UIC 715의 유지보수비용 영향요인 개념을 반영하는 경우, 비용산정결과의 신뢰도를 향상시킬 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 국내외 사례를 기초로 유지보수비용과 선로등급에 따른 가중 철도연장, 곡선반경, 종단경사 및 노후도 등과의 상관관계를 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 유지보수 위탁기관의 각 지역본부별 유지보수비용 중 대표성이 있는 자료를 기반으로 비용예측을 수행하였으며, 이 결과 기존노선의 선로등급 및 등급별 비용계수에 따른 유지보수비용 산정방안이 기존 적용방법에 비해 합리적임을 밝혔다. 또한 현재 개발중인 고속 종합검측차의 검측데이터 및 철도시설물의 이력정보를 고려한 비용산정 방안을 함께 고려하였으며 이를 기반으로 선로등급, 곡선반경, 노후도 및 선로 기울기 등을 종합적으로 고려한 유지보수비용 산정모델의 개발이 가능할 것으로 예상된다.
