Purpose: This study was done to describe a community health practitioner's nursing case study for a hypertension patient. Methods: For this purpose, data were collected through interviews and nursing records. The nursing process was carried out from January to March in 2019. Results: For this patient, blood pressure was checked 5 times and total cholesterol test was performed 5 times over 41 consultations. Even though the patient was 84 years old, he was very interested in health. When the blood pressure and cholesterol level measured by community health practitioner were high, he was embarrassed by the recommendation to get a hospital checkup. After referral to a medical clinic and hospital, he was satisfied with the results of the tests and medical treatment, and constantly practiced daily walking exercise. Conclusion: It is very important for community health practitioners to assess patient symptoms correctly and refer the patient timely to manage complications.

Authors have selected a physiological bad breath patient( 62 years old, male ) among the bad breath outpatients who have visited the halitosis control clinic in Korea University Medical Center(KUMC). The patient visited the halitosis control clinic for his oral malodor control, 3 times from April to June in 2018, and in August the patient visited to KUMC malodor control clinic again for his assessment of his two months efforts. Getting the data about the patient's endeavor to get over his physiologic oral malodor and the estimation of the patient's satisfaction level at his oral malodor improvement by a questionnaire method, and the organoleptic level assessment by the dentist, then we could propose an estimation method of the physiologic oral malodor patient care prognosis.

This report presents the case of 75-year-old men with spindle cell neoplasm. The patient underwent percutaneous nephrolithotomy and transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) for renal stones and benign prostatic hyperplasia. One month postoperatively, the patient was able to void without any difficulty. Five months later, the patient experienced difficulty voiding and presented to the emergency room with severe pelvic pain. Computed tomography (CT) showed regrowth of the prostate mass into the posterior bladder and penile root. The prostate-specific antigen level remained constant at 1.14 ng/mL during the pre-and postoperative periods. Five months before the TURP operation, the patient's CT scan showed a soft and mildly enlarged prostate with no protrusion into the bladder. Biopsy of the prostate, however, showed a protruding mass, indicative of a spindle cell neoplasm. The patient was subsequently treated with the chemotherapeutic drug adriamycin. Unfortunately, treatment was unsuccessful, and the patient died 18 months later.

This study was conducted to investigate the effect of virtual reality game on old stroke patient's depression, relationship and life satisfaction. The subjects of this study were 40 stroke patients of over 65 years old and each 20 patients were randomly assigned in two groups. The study was conducted for 12 weeks. Nintendo Wii Sports Resort program was applied to the virtual reality game for the experimental group. In order to investigate psychological social factor (depression, relationship) and life satisfaction of the objects, BDI, RCS, LSI-Z were checked three times. The results are as followings. First, the psychological social change (depression, relationship) after the training program showed that depression is significantly decreased (p<.001) along with the intervention period in both 2 groups. Second, change of life satisfaction after the training program showed that significant statistical improvement were found both in control group(p<.05), and experimental group(p<.001). Third, depression, relationship showed the significant statistically correlation with life satisfaction(p<.05). We can conclude from the above that virtual reality games which were played by 2 persons had the significant effect on old stroke patient's psychological social factor(depression, relationship) and life satisfaction.

The purpose of this article is to discuss the effect of aging on the treatment of replantation and transplantation of teeth in old patients. I case of replantation and 2 cases of transplantations in old patients are reported in this article. Patients aged 65 and over are included. They had several problems such as periapical lesion, crack or foot fractures. In those cases, the replantation and transplantation were treatment of choice. White ProRoot MTA was used in apical retrograde filling and perforation repair. After replantation and transplantation of teeth, follow-up visits showed signs of healing in 3 cases. Considerations and indications for replantation and transplantation are not much affected by age. Old patients are aware that replantation and transplantation can be performed comfortably and that age is not a factor in prediction success.

The authors reported a case of terminal pediatric cancer patient. The patient was ten-year-old girl, and she was diagnosed as osteosarcoma with multiple metastasis to lung and bones. She was markedly depressed and had severe bone and chest pain. The patient was treated with hypnotherapy once or twice a week for two months. There was marked improvement in pain control and emotional reactions, and the hospice team could establish good rapport with her. Hypnotherapy would be one of the effective treatment modalities in assisting patients.

A 69-year old female stroke patient was admitted on August 7, 1998. She had seborrheic dermatitis on her lower abdomen for 25 years. The patient received many treatments but was unable to find a cure. During her hospitalization for stroke, the patient had trouble sleeping. The doctors hypothesized the dermatitis to be the cause of the sleeping disorder and attempted to treat it. The doctors chose Hwangyeonhaedog-tang Gagambang for treatment and smeared it on the patient's abdomen. After ten days of treatment, the dermatitis disappeared and did not reoccur. The patient's abdomen continued to show no symptoms of dermatitis after being released for 2 years.

Upward migration of the peritoneal catheter of a subgaleo-peritoneal (SP) shunt and coiling into the subgaleal space is an extremely rare complication of a SP shunt. A 32-year-old male patient visited our hospital presenting with a large skull defect due to a prior craniectomy performed elsewhere. The patient underwent a cranioplasty with methylmetacrylate, but subsequently developed progressive pseudomeningocele and subgaleal cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) collection. The patient underwent CSF diversion via a SP shunt. After SP shunting, the pseudomeningocele disappeared completely. Six months later, the patient presented with progressive scalp swelling. Skull X-ray showed migration and coiling of the distal catheter of the SP shunt. The patient was treated by removing the entire shunt catheter and the dura was covered with a subgaleal flap. We would like to report our experience with a very rare complication of subgaleo-peritoneal shunting.

In the geriatric patient with COPD, incidence of postoperative pulmonary complication is higher than young patient. Therefore, some anesthesiologists preferred spinal anesthesia to general anesthesia for surgery of the perineum, lower extrimities, and pelvic extra peritoneal organs. But, during spinal anesthesia, the same careful observation is requiered as during general anesthesia. We experienced a case of the convulsive seizure at about 1 hour after spinal anesthesia for open prostatectomy in a 76-year-old male patient wit COPD. It was suspected that his convulsive seizure be resulted from hypercapnea combined with hypoxia following upper airway obstruction. This patient was treated successfully by ultrashort acting barbiturate and controlled ventilation.

The Purpose of this study was to investigate the clinical application of distillation Herbal medicine and Counseling Treatment to the insomnia In this case, a female patient, 40 years old, who had an adverse reaction of a Herbal medicine, complained of insomnia. We treated the patient with distillation Herbal medicine and Counseling. we diagnosed her state Rhosangsimbi(勞傷心脾), so we prescribed distillation Gagamguibi-tang(加減歸脾湯) for patient. In result, the patient's hours of sleep was increased to 6 hours from 1 hour. Conclusionally, Distillation Herbal medicine and Counseling Treatment Could be Effective method to treat the patient of insomnia with an adverse reaction of a Herbal medicine.
