본 연구에서는 운전장면 개별요소들에 대한 중년 및 고령운전자의 작업기억의 특성을 반응민감도, 반응편파 및 반응시간을 통해 비교하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 고령운전자 집단은 중년운전자 집단에 비해 민감도가 낮았고 특히 중년운전자 집단의 경우는 중심자극과 주변자극에 대한 민감도에서의 차이가 유의하지 않았던 반면, 고령운전자 집단의 경우는 중심자극에 비해 주변자극에 대한 민감도가 현저하게 더 낮았다. 둘째, 중년운전자 집단은 전반적으로 보수적으로 반응한 반면 고령운전자 집단은 대체적으로 관대한 방향으로 반응하는 경향이 상대적으로 더 컸다. 셋째, 중년운전자들에 비해 고령운전자들의 반응시간이 더 느렸고, 중심자극보다는 주변자극에 대한 반응시간이 더 느렸으며, 반응의 유형에 따라서는 적중의 반응시간이 가장 빨랐던 반면 헛경보의 반응시간이 가장 느렸다. 특히, 탈루과 정기각 반응에 대해서는 두 집단 사이의 반응시간 차이가 더 증가하였다. 이러한 결과는 중년운전자들에 비해 고령운전자들은 운전장면 개별요소에 대한 작업기억에서의 파지가 상대적으로 더 불완전하고, 이에 따라 작업기억에 기초한 신속한 판단에서 어려움이 증가할 수 있음을 시사한다.

This study is to analyze dwelling environmental planning in old age of middle age. For this purpose. the data were collected by using questionnaire distributed to 332. The data were analyzed by Chisquare test. The major findings of this research were as follow: 1. In housing plan of old age. they prefer new house .that is not exisiting house. independent house and ordindry housing region in the suburbs of urban. 2. It is 69.3～99 square meter what size of house is suitable for independent life of aged person for living with children. it is 102.3～132 square meter. 3. In the stage of independent or semi-independent life. they want aged couple-independent life. In the stage of dependent life. they want to be cared with children. 4. The garden(madang) is the most important space for age couple in establishing housing plan. They want to amplity life recuperation center and job providing facilities. In old age housing project. they prefer housing type with facility that combine old age house with young age house. According to increasement of dependence. the service support system required flexi-care-system.

This study examined the relationship between social support and depressive symptom among the middle and old-aged people, using dataset of the Korean Longitudinal Study of Ageing(KLoSA 3rd). The subjects were 7,874 persons aged 45 and over. Using this data, social support variables and its relation to depressions was observed based on social network model. A multiple regression model was used to study an association between social support and depressive symptom, controlling for socio-economic characteristics, health status and behavior. Also, this paper run two subgroup regression models based on gender of subjects (male, female), controlling for confounding variables. Authors found that there was lower the number of meetings with friends (1~3 times in a week: b=0.597, p<0.0001; 1~2 times in a month: b=0.609, p<0.0001; 1~6 times in a year or under: b=1.598, p<0.0001) and negative relationship between spouse satisfaction (b=-0.007, p=0.0237), children satisfaction (b=-0.019, p<0.0001) and depressive symptom. Also quantitative effect differences were compared according to gender and its effect on depression. Compared to the male group, female group showed significant difference in quantitative effect with number of meetings with friends and spouse satisfaction, but children satisfaction didn't show clear differences according to gender. This study suggested the importance of social support for promoting mental health among the middle and old-aged people.

Objectives : The purpose of this study was to investigate the anti-oxidative effect of Suhwagije-decoction (SGT) pharmacopuncture solution on the liver and spleen cells of aged rats. Methods : The liver and spleen cells of 10, 52, and 72 week old Sprague Dawley (SD) rats were divided into three groups: distilled water (DW), Vit.C, and SGT groups, which were treated with DW, Vit.C and SGT pharmacopuncture solution respectively. The levels of superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione (GSH) and nitric oxide (NO) were then measured. Results : 1. Treatment of SGT pharmacopuncture solution significantly decreased NO concentration in spleen cells of 52 week old rats as compared with that of other groups. 2. Treatment of SGT pharmacopuncture solution significantly increased SOD activity in spleen cells of 72 week old rats as compared with that of other groups. Conclusions : Suhwagije-decoction (SGT) pharmacopuncture solution may have an anti-oxidative effect in the spleen cells of aged rats.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the anti-oxidative effect of Yongyukjowi-tang (YJT) distillate on liver and spleen cells of aged rats. This experiment was performed using liver and spleen cells of 10w, 52w, 72w old SD rats. The cells were divided into three groups; DW, Vit.C, and YJT groups, which were treated with distilled water, vitamin C, and YJT distillate respectively, and the levels of Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) and malondialdehyde (MDA) were measured. SOD level in liver and spleen cells of 10w old rats was significantly increased in YJT group compared to DW group. MDA level in liver cells of 72w old rats was significantly decreased in YJT group compared to DW group. Yongyukjowi-tang distillate showed an anti-oxidative effect on liver and spleen cells of aged rats.

The purpose of this study was to make a pants pattern suitable for women 70 to 85 years of age, then analyze that- pattern's shape, size, appearance, fit, allowance and air gap. Participants made the pattern using 3D simulation program DC Suite version 5.1. The results suggest a design method suitable for the lower-body shapes of elderly women. In external appearance, the A-type earned the highest evaluation in all items except the allowance of the back waist and back hip. The L type earned the highest evaluation in the allowance of back waist and hips. The A-type's, back waist appeared set at an angle that did not match the body shape of an old-old aged woman in the center-back-line setting. Therefore, the pattern method of A-type combined with L-type's method of center back, produces an excellent pants pattern. Evaluation of the air gaps among patterns revealed that; the A-type showed the largest air gap in waist and hip circumference and the smallest air gap in thigh circumference. The waists, abdomen, and hip circumferences of older women often become larger while their legs become slimmer. This study accounted for those factors in determining a pattern suitable for the lower-body shape of old-old aged women. However, participants only analyzed four patterns and compared them with women 70 to 85, years of age. Therefore, it is necessary to develop industrial patterns applicable to a wide age group.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the level of assets and liabilities of farm households and to evaluate the financial status of rural middle-aged and old-aged household using financial ratios. For these purposes an empirical survey data was gathered from rural middle-aged and old-aged households in 8 provinces using structured questionnaires. 877 households data were used in final analysis. The statistical methods used for data analysis are frequency percentile mean The statistical methods used for data analysis are frequency percentile mean median standard deviation $\chi$2 and t-test using SPSS/PC WIN program. Among financial ratios 64.7% of total households could meet the guideline of consumption to income ratio 5.9% of total households could meet the appropriate level of short-term and long-term liquidity. In the case of debt burden ration 82% of total households could meet the guideline. And 28.5% of total households could meet the guideline of capital stock ratio .

The immune system may play an important role in aging and the changes in the immune status are associated with treatment of various immunomodulators. This study examined the effects of $\beta$-glucans isolated from mushroom fungi, Coriolus versicolor on macrophages functions in young (8-weeks-old) and aged (82-weeks-old) male C57BL/6 mice. When peritoneal macrophages were treated with various concentrations of $\beta$-glucan ($1-100\;{\mu}g/ml$) for 24 hrs, tumoricidal activity, NO production and phagocytic activity were significantly increased in the young mice, whereas there are no effects in the aged mice. These results suggest that $\beta$-glucans has differential effects on the macrophage functions in young and aged mice and age nutrition might need to be considered to select proper immunomodulator. In addition, $\beta$-glucan could be used clinically for the treatment of diseases such as cancer therapy in the young.

The purpose of this study is for old-aged women to analysis variation of Body composition and BMD so that help to keep healthy life by doing low-intensity workout. the subjects for this study consist of 20 persons being aged over 65 women, doing not regular workout, living in P metropolitan, and do workout for 12 weeks by catergorizing into 2 groups in half depending upon whether doing workout or not. Two-way Repeated Measures ANOVA of SPSS 18.0 was used for data processing. the statistical significant is set as p<.05. In result, there's none of dramatical difference in radius, ulna's BMD. there is dramatical difference in (%)Fat, WHR in workout group but none difference in LBM.

This study attempted to investigate the factors affecting financial status of the rural middle-aged and old-aged household. The results shelved that the significant variables which influenced on the probability of financial security measured by consumption to income ratio were sex and education level of the household head, family size, total income, total expenditure and total assets. The most influential variables on the probability of financial security measured by liquidity ratio was liquid assets, and total assets. Education level of the household head. liquid assets, total assets, and total debt had significant effects on the probability of financial security estimated by debt burden ratio. Among the economic variables, only liquid asset had significant negative effects on the probability of financial security assessed by the capital stock ratio.
