한국인 수유부에 어유의 보충 급여 효과에 관한 연구 -III. 영아의 지방산 섭취, 혈장 지질 농도 및 혈장과 적혈구 인지질의 지방산 조성에 미친 영향- (Effects of Fish Oil Supplementation to Korean Lactating Women -III. The Effects of Fatty Acid Composition, Plasma Lipid Concentration and Fatty Acid Composition of Plasma Phopspholipids and Erythrocyte of Infants-)

  • This experiment was conducted to examine the effects of fish oil supplementation with low does on the lipid concentration and fatty acid composition of plasma and the fatty acid composition of plasma phospholipid and erythrocyte of infants. Among 18 breast-fed infants, 6 were in control group and 12 were in fish oil groups. The subjects in fish oil groups were nursed by their mothers who supplemented with fish oil 1.96g/d or 3.92g/d, respectively for 2 weeks from 10 to 12 weeks postpartum. The nursing mothers consumed their usual diets at home. Blood samples were collected at the final day of experiment. There were no significant changes in daily intakes of total lipid, triglyceride, free fatty acid, phospholipid and cholesterol of infants by fish oil supplementation. However, the content of EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid)increased and that of ARA (arachidonic acid) decreaed significantly in plasma PC(phophatidylchline). And also, there were tendencies to increase triglyceride concentration and to decrease cholesterol and phopholipid concentrations of plasma. As the above results, atherogenic index (AI) showed a tendency to decrease, but not significant. DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and EPA contents in plasma PC and PE (phosphatidylethanolamin) as well as those of erythrocyte tended to increase. In these results, we concluded that fish oil supplementation with low dose to lactating women does not obviously affect of the plasma lipid concentrations and fatty acid composition of plasma PC and PE as well as erythrocyte. However the increase of EPA content of plasma PC and the tendency to increase DHA and EPA contents of plasma as well as erythrocyte membrane indicate that there may be some beneficial effect on infant lipid metabolism of fish oil intake of nutsing mother were increased.

Removal study of As (V), Pb (II), and Cd (II) metal ions from aqueous solution by emulsion liquid membrane

  • Emulsion Liquid Membrane (ELM) is a prominent technique for the separation of heavy metal ions from wastewater due to the fast extraction and is a single-stage operation of stripping-extraction. The selection of the components (Surfactant and Carrier) of ELM is a very significant step for its preparation. In the ELM technique, the primary water- in-oil (W/O) emulsion is emulsified in water to produce water-in-oil-in-water (W/O/W) emulsion. The water in oil emulsion was prepared by mixing the membrane phase and internal phase. To prepare the membrane phase, the extractant D2EHPA (di-2-ethylhexylphosphoric acid) was used as a mobile carrier, Span-80 as a surfactant, and Paraffin as a diluent. Moreover, the internal (receiving) phase was prepared by dissolving sulphuric acid in water. Di-(2- ethylhexyl) phosphoric acid such as surfactant concentration, carrier concentration, sulphuric acid concentration in the receiving (internal) phase, agitation time (emulsion phase and feed phase), the volume ratio of the membrane phase to the receiving phase, the volume ratio of the external feed phase to the primary water-in-oil emulsion and pH of feed were studied on the percentage extraction of metal ions at 20℃. The results show that it is possible to remove 78% for As(V), 98% for Cd(II), and 99% for Pb(II). 대두유 첨가가 녹두전분의 이화학적 특성과 저온저장 녹두전분겔의 텍스쳐에 미치는 영향 (Physicochemical Properties of Mung Bean Starch and Texture of Cold-Stored Mung Bean Starch Gels added with Soy Bean Oil)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the physicochemical properties of mung bean starch and the texture of cold-stored (5$^{\circ}C$ for 0, 24, 48, and 72 hours) mung bean starch gels added with soy bean oil (0, 2, 4, 6%). The swelling power of mung bean starch added with soy bean oil did not significantly change, whereas solubility increased significantly. Soluble carbohydrate content of mung bean starch added with soy bean oil decreased without any significant differences, whereas soluble amylose content decreased significantly. In RVA viscosity, pasting temperature and peak viscosity of mung bean starch added with soy bean oil were not significantly different, whereas minimum viscosity decreased and breakdown and consistency increased significantly. In RVA viscosity, there were no differences according to concentration of soy bean oil. DSC thermograms show that onset temperature of mung bean starch added with soy bean oil did not significantly change, whereas the enthalpy increased in the case of 4% and 6% oil addition. Rupture properties of freshly prepared mung bean starch gels added with soy bean oil increased in the case of 2% and 4% oil addition, and oil addition to mung bean starch gels suppressed changes in rupture properties during cold storage. There were no significant differences in the texture of freshly prepared mung bean starch gels added with soy bean oil, whereas hardness, chewiness, and gumminess of cold-stored mung bean starch gels added with soy bean oil decreased. In the above textural charactristics, there were no differences due to concentration of soy bean oil. Thus, the addition of 2-4% soy bean oil to mung bean starch is appropriate for improving the quality characteristics of cold-stored mung bean starch gels.

  • 본 연구에서는 와류실식 디젤 기관에 경유-물의 유화연료 사용시 시관의 회전 속도(1500rpm)가 일정인 경우 물의 첨가량(체적비, 0~20%)과 기관의 부하(BMEP,2.1~ 7.5kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$)변화에 따른 연소실내 압력, 압력상승률 및 열발생률, 착화지연 기간, 연료 소비율 등의 연소특성과 CO, HC, NOx 및 매연의 배출능도 등 유해 배출 가스에 미치는 영향에 관하여 실험적으로 구한 것이다.

토양 세정법을 이용한 실제 유류 오염 토양 및 지하수 정화

  • Surfactant enhanced in-situ soil flushing was peformed to remediate the soil and groundwater at an oil contaminated site, and the effluent solution was treated by the chemical treatment process including DAF(Dissolved Air Flotation). A section from the contaminated site(4.5m$\times$4.5m$\times$6.0m) was selected for the research, which was composed of heterogeneous sandy and silt-sandy soils with average Hydraulic conductivity of 2.0$\times$10$^{-4}$ cm/sec. Two percent of sorbitan monooleate(POE 20) and 0.07% of iso-prophyl alcohol were mixed for the surfactant solution and 3 pore volumes of surfactant solution were injected to remove oil from the contaminant section. Four injection wells and two extraction wells were built in the section to flush surfactant solution. Water samples taken from extraction wells and the storage tank were analyzed by GC(gas-chromatography) for TPH concentration with different time. Five pore volumes of solution were extracted while TPH concentration in soil and groundwater at the section were below the Waste Water Discharge Limit(WWDL). Total 18.5kg of oil (TPH) was removed from the section. The concentration of heavy metals in the effluent solution also increased with the increase of TPH concentration, suggesting that the surfactant enhanced in-situ flushing be available to remove not only oil but heavy metals from contaminated sites. Results suggest that in-situ soil flushing and chemical treatment process including DAF could be a successful process to remediate contaminated sites distributed in Korea.

식이지방과 스트레스가 신경전달물질의 수준에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Dietary Lipids and Stress on Neurotransmitters in Rats)

  • To investigate the effect of dietary lipids and stress on brain catecholamine and serotonin concentration, sixty three weanling male Sprague-Dawley rats(mean body weight$\pm$SD : 171$\pm$3g) were fed a diet containing fish oil, soybean oil or beef tallow and than, each was exposed to three different types of stress, isolated, grouped or cold, respectively. Cold stress seemed to be most severe and living together in a large cage with some playing equipments is more stressful than living alone in a classical small cage evidenced by plasma corticosterone level. Average food intake and body weight gain were not significantly different among exprimental groups. In adrenal catecholamines, norepinephrine was significantly affected by diet and stress and dopamine was by stress. Norepinephrine concentration of the fish oil group was lowest among diet groups. Adrenal epinephrine, however, was not. It was also shown than the cold stress significantly increased the brain norepinephrine concentration. The cold stress significantly induced higher content of brain serotonin than the grouped stress. However, the concentratin of 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid(5-HIAA), the metabolite of serotonin, was not significantly different among groups. Therefore, this results suggest that stress affects sympathetic neuronal activity, and fish oil might lighten the burden of stress.

유턴 흐름을 갖는 차량공조용 플레이트형 증발기의 전열특성에 관한 연구 (A study on the characteristics of heat transfer and pressure drop in plate type evaporator with U-turn for automotive air conditioner)

  • The evaporation heat transfer and pressure drop characteristics for HFC-l34a in flat plate type heat exchangers with enhanced beads were experimentally investigated. Three plate type evaporators with different geometric condition of U-turn area were tested. Mass fluxes were tested over the range of 83kg/$m^2$s to 166kg/$m^2$s, and heat fluxes were varied from 4㎾/$m^2$ to 12㎾/$m^2$. Evaporation temperature was 5$^{\circ}C$ with inlet qualities of 0.1 to 1.0. There was no notable difference in the heat transfer coefficient by geometric variation of U-turn area, but the third plate with cross-ribbed channel at U-turn area was better than others in the evaluation using volume goodness factor comparison. Also, the mixtures of HFC-l34a and PAG oil was tested to determine oil effects on heat transfer and pressure drop. As oil concentration was increased, heat transfer coefficient was increased by 22~48% up to the 3wt.%, but decreased by 14~22% at the 4wt.%. The pressure drop was increased by the maximum of 100% as oil concentration was increased.

인슐린 비의존형 당뇨병 환자에서 어유 투여량이 혈청 지질에 미치는 영향 (The Influences of Different Doses of Fish Oil on Serum Lipids in Patients with Non-Insulin Dependent Diabetes Mellitus)

  • This study was designed to determine changes of serum glucose and lipid levels in noninsulin dependent diabetes mellitus patients during different doses of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA)-rich fish oil supplementation. All patients had a fasting blood glucose of less than 180mg/dl, a LDL-cholesterol of less than 160mg/dl, and a triglyceride of more than 160mg/dl. None had clinical evidence of renal, hepatic or coronary vascular disease. Sixteen patients served as control. Seven patients ingested 2.00g of fish oil(low dose group), consisting of 0.30g eicosapentaenoic acid(EPA) and 0.55g DHA. The group of modest dose(n=9) was provided 3.91g of fish oil, consisting 0.59g EPA and 1.08g DHA. After 4 weeks, serum triglyceride concentration showed a mild but nonsignificant elevation in control group, a 9% decrease(194 to 177mg/dl) in the group of low dose of fish oil and a 28% decrease(206 to 161mg/dl) in the group of modest dose. The level of high density lipoprotein(HDL), HDL2, HDL3 and total cholesterol in all groups were not changed. There was a mild increase in malondialdehyde and low density lipoprotein(LDL)-cholesterol concentration and decrease in $\alpha$-tocopherol concentration. However, these changes were not significant.

Anesthetic efficacy and physiological responses of clove oil on juvenile and adult red spotted grouper, Epinephelus akarra

  • The main objective of this study was to provide anesthetic criteria of clove oil for an effective manipulation and transportation of red spotted grouper, Epinephelus akaara. When anesthesia temperature (20, 24, and $28^{\circ}C$) and concentration of clove oil (25, 50, and 75 ppm) were increased, the anesthesia and recovery time decreased and tended to be similar to each other between juvenile and adult. Also, as the temperature and concentration increased, the ratio of exposure time and recovery time between juvenile and adult were decreased. When plasma cortisol concentrations were compared for 48 h after anesthesia with 50 ppm of clove oil, both the juvenile and adult fish grew up to 12 h; however, thereafter decreased and there was no significant difference from control at 48 h.

  • Recently, hot rolling oil lubrication technology is required to face with the new environments such as the rapid introduction of high wear resistent high speed steel roll the development of continuous hot rolling technology. In the hot strip mill, according to rolling and quality required conditions are constrict, Roll material of hot rolling finishing stand is changing Hi-Cr Roll to High Speed Steel [HSS] Roll. The problem of HSS Roll of roll force and strip scale defects are increasing in hot strip mill, So we have tested HSS Roll in hot rolling simulator as rolling condition, rolling speed, draft, hot oil concentration. To reduce roll force and prevent scale defects. We get some merit rolling force, rolling torque, roll wear reduction, roll and strip surface roughness and hot rolling critical oil concentration 0.4%. Finally we are going to investigate the effect of hot rolling oil of on rolling with HSS Roll.
