고압 유도전동기 고정자권선의 결함에 따른 부분방전발생양상의 특징분석 (Characteristic Analysis of PD Occurrence Aspects for Defect of Stator Coil in HV Induction motor)

  • High voltage induction motor is the important equipment for ensuring the driving performance of the electric train. PD(partial discharge) is a good indicator for showing the insulation performance of stator coil in HV induction motor. This paper has investigated the characteristics of PD occurrence aspects for both the sound and defective stator coil which consist of maximum PD amplitude(V), total occurrence number, average PD amplitude(V) and PD amplitude(v) - PD occurrence number(n). They were compared with each other depending on applied voltages and reconstructed to $60{\times}60$ matrices of PD amplitude(v)-occurrence phase (${\phi}$)-occurrence number(n) which is the good way to estimate the PD sources in stator coil.

상대습도가 황금배(pyrus pyrifolia Nakai cv.) 동녹발생에 미치는 영향 (Effects ofRelative Humidity on Russet Occurrence in Whangkeumbae Pear (Pyrus pyrifolia Nakai cv,))

  • '황금배' 동녹발생이 해에 따라 큰 차이를 보이는 것은 강우가 크게 관여하기 때문인 바 본 연구에서는 강우와 동녹발생과의 관계를 구명하기 위하여 인위적으로 가습처리를 하여 높은 상대습도와의 관계를 구명하였다. 높은 상대습도는 기공저항을 적게 하였다. 따라서 순수동화산물의 축적이 과실의 비대를 촉진하여 가습처리에서 평균 과중이 크게 나타났다 광합성속도에는 처리간의 차이가 없었다. 동녹 발생시기는 과중과 과실표면적의 신장속도가 가장 빠른 시기인 7월 25일 전후이며, 높은 상대습도가 과실의 신장을 촉진하였으므로 가습처리에서 동녹발생이 많았다. 7월 하순은 과실의 칼슘농도변화가 큰 시기로서 세포벽 구성에 주요한 물질인 칼슘량의 저하가 동녹발생과 상관이 있을 것으로 생각된다. 강우에 의한 높은 상대습도가 동녹발생에 미치는 영향은 높은 상대습도에 의해 순수광합성물질의 많아지고 이에 따라 과실신장이 빨라지나 과실세포의 신장을 위해 전류되는 동화산물량과 이동되는 수분 포함한 무기성분량의 일시적 불균형이 큰 이유 중의 하나라고 생각된다.

Gabor, MDLC, Co-Occurrence 특징의 융합에 의한 언어 인식 (Language Identification by Fusion of Gabor, MDLC, and Co-Occurrence Features)

  • 본 논문에서는 Gabor 특징과 MDLC 특징, 그리고 co-occurrence 특징의 융합에 의한 질감 특징 기반언어 인식 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법에서는 먼저 시험 영상에 Gabor 변환에 이은 크기 연산자를 적용하여 Gabor 크기 영상을 얻고 그 통계치를 계산하여 결과를 벡터화한다. 이어서 MDLC 연산자를 이용하여 MDLC 영상을 얻고 역시 그 통계치를 계산하여 벡터화한다. 다음으로 시험 영상으로부터 GLCM을 계산하고 이를 이용하여 co-occurrence 특징을 계산한 다음 벡터화한다. 이들 Gabor, MDLC, co-occurrence 특징에 의한 벡터들은 벡터 융합에 의하여 특징 벡터로 사용된다. 분류 단계에서는 얼굴 인식에 주로 사용되는 WPCA를 분류기로 하여 시험 특징 벡터와 가장 유사한 학습 특징 벡터를 찾는다. 제안된 방법의 성능은 15개국 언어의 문서를 스캔하여 얻은 시험 문서 영상 DB에 대한 평균 인식률을 조사하여 알아본다. 실험 결과 제안된 방법은 시험 DB에 대하여 비교적 낮은 특징 벡터 차원으로 매우 우수한 언어 인식 성능을 보여준다.

Effect of regional climatic conditions, air pollutants, and season on the occurrence and severity of injury in trauma patients

  • Objective: We analyzed the association between regional weather and temporal changes on the daily occurrence of trauma emergencies and their severity. Methods: In this cross-sectional prospective study, we investigated daily atmospheric patterns in trauma episodes in 1,344 patients in Cheongju city, South Korea, from January 2016 to December 2016 and analyzed the association of trauma occurrence and Injury Severity Scores (ISS) with weather conditions on a daily scale. Results: The mean age of trauma patients was $53.0{\pm}23.8years$ and average ISS was $9.0{\pm}2.0$. Incidence of trauma was positively correlated with average temperature (r=0.512, P<0.001) and atmospheric pressure (r=0.332, P=0.010) and negatively correlated with air pollutants (particulate matter less than $2.5{\mu}m^3$ [PM2.5], r=-0.629, P<0.001; particulate matter less than $10{\mu}m^3$ [PM10], r=-0.679, P<0.001). ISS was not significantly correlated with climate parameters and air pollutants, and variability was observed in the frequency and severity of trauma by time of day (highest occurrence, 16-20 pm; highest ISS, 4-8 am), day of the week (highest occurrence and highest ISS, Saturday), month of the year (highest occurrence, July; highest ISS, November), and season (highest incidence, summer; highest ISS, autumn). Conclusion: The study shows a positive relationship between trauma occurrence and specific weather conditions, such as atmospheric temperature and pressure. There was a negative relationship between concentrations of PM2.5 or PM10, and trauma occurrence. However, no correlation was observed between weather conditions or the concentrations of air pollutants and ISS. In addition, seasonal, circaseptan, and circadian variations exist in trauma occurrence and severity. Thus, we suggest that evaluation of a larger, population-based data set is needed to further investigate and confirm these relationships.

ANNs on Co-occurrence Matrices for Mobile Malware Detection

  • Android dominates the mobile operating system market, which stimulates the rapid spread of mobile malware. It is quite challenging to detect mobile malware. System call sequence analysis is widely used to identify malware. However, the malware detection accuracy of existing approaches is not satisfactory since they do not consider correlation of system calls in the sequence. In this paper, we propose a new scheme called Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) on Co-occurrence Matrices Droid (ANNCMDroid), using co-occurrence matrices to mine correlation of system calls. Our key observation is that correlation of system calls is significantly different between malware and benign software, which can be accurately expressed by co-occurrence matrices, and ANNs can effectively identify anomaly in the co-occurrence matrices. Thus at first we calculate co-occurrence matrices from the system call sequences and then convert them into vectors. Finally, these vectors are fed into ANN to detect malware. We demonstrate the effectiveness of ANNCMDroid by real experiments. Experimental results show that only 4 applications among 594 evaluated benign applications are falsely detected as malware, and only 18 applications among 614 evaluated malicious applications are not detected. As a result, ANNCMDroid achieved an F-Score of 0.981878, which is much higher than other methods.

Solar Flare Occurrence Rate and Probability Depending on Sunspot Classification with Active Region Area and Its Change

  • We investigate solar flare occurrence rate and daily flare probability depending on McIntosh sunspot classification, its area, and its area change. For this we use the NOAA active region and GOES solar flare data for 15 years (from January 1996 to December 2010). We consider the most flare-productive 10 sunspot classification: 'Dko', 'Dai', 'Eai', 'Fai', 'Dki', 'Dkc', 'Eki', 'Ekc', 'Fki', and 'Fkc'. Sunspot area and its change can be a proxy of magnetic flux and its emergence/cancellation, respectively. we classify each sunspot group into two sub-groups: 'Large' and 'Small'. In addition, for each group, we classify it into three sub-groups according to sunspot group area change: 'Decrease', 'Steady', and 'Increase'. As a result, in the case of compact groups, their flare occurrence rates and daily flare probabilities noticeably increase with sunspot group area. We also find that the flare occurrence rates and daily flare probabilities for the 'Increase' sub-groups are noticeably higher than those for the other sub-groups. In case of the (M+X)-class flares of 'Dkc' group, the flare occurrence rate of the 'Increase' sub-group is three times higher than that of the 'Steady' sub-group. Mean flare occurrence rates and flare probabilities for all sunspot regions increase with the following order: 'Steady', 'Decrease', and 'Increase'. Our results statistically demonstrate that magnetic flux and its emergence enhance major solar flare occurrence. We are going to forecast solar flares based on these results and NOAA scale.

접착이음의 강도평가에 대한 해석 (Analysis for Strength Estimation of Adhesive Joints)

  • The objectives of this research are to establish the criteria of peel occurrence considering the shape of bond terminus and to compare the strength properties of some adhesive joints. The criteria of feel occurrence at the bond terminus was suggested. Peel loads of some adhesive joint(butt joint, T -shape specimen, single lap joint) were determined from tensile tests. Principal stress distributions of these joints were determined from finite element method analysis. Then, peel occurrence was estimated with intensity of stress singularity ' $K_{prin.}$' when the terminus shape was square, with average principal stress when the terminus shape was rounded. The conclusions are summarized as follows; (1) In the non-filleted model(e.g., butt joint, T-shape specimen), principal stress shows singularity at the bond terminus, intensity of stress(principal stress) singularity ' $K_{prin.}$&apso; can use as the criteria of peel occurrence at the bond terminus. (2) In the filleted model(e.g., single lap joint), principal stress doesn't show singularity at the bond terminus. Average principal stress can use as the criteria of peel occurrence at the bond terminus.'t show singularity at the bond terminus. 우리나라에서 소나무재선충병 초기 발생지의 환경 특성 분석 (Environmental Factors Influencing on the Occurrence of Pine Wilt Disease in Korea)

  • Pine wilt disease (PWD) is one of the hazardous pine tree diseases in whole world. In Korea, PWD has been spreading since it was first observed in Busan in 1988. Dispersion of PWD is mainly mediated by its vectors such as Japanese pine sawyer. In this study, we characterized environmental condition including meteorological factors, geographical factors, and land use factors influencing on the occurrence of PWD. The occurrence data of PWD were collected at 153 sites where were the initial occurrence sites of PWD in local government regions such as city, Gun, or Gu scale. We used Akaike Information Criterion (AIC) to evaluate the relative importance of environmental variables on the discrimination of occurrence or absence of PWD. The results showed that altitude, slope, and distance to road were the most influential factors on the occurrence of PWD, followed by distance to building. Finally, our study presented that human activities highly influenced on the long term dispersal of PWD.

한반도에 영향을 주는 태풍의 통계적 특성 변화 (Change in Statistical Characteristics of Typhoon Affecting the Korean Peninsula)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the change of statistical characteristics of typhoons affecting the Korean Peninsula. For this purpose, we analyzed the occurrence frequency of typhoon for 50 years (1954-2003) and change of air temperature and sea surface temperature near the Korean Peninsula in the same period. We classified typhoon tracks affecting the Korean Peninsula, and analyzed their trends and the amount of damage by typhoon. While the annual occurrence frequency of typhoon in the western North Pacific gradually decreased, its frequency affecting the Korean Peninsula increased. In addition, the occurrence location migrated northward. This coincides with the increase in air temperature and sea surface temperature around the Korean Peninsula. Typhoon tracks affecting the Korean Peninsula were classified into 7 types. Among them, the occurrence frequency of type 6 and 7 has increased. Although the occurrence frequency is low in type 2, the amount of damage by typhoon and occurrence frequency are increasing recently.

국지풍이 내륙의 안개발생에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Local Wind on Occurrence of Fog at Inland Areas)

  • We have examined the influence of local wind on occurrence of fog at two inland areas, Chuncheon and Andong, in Korea. The surrounding topography of two inland areas shows significant difference: Chuncheon is located in the basin surrounded by ridges with north-south axis while Andong is located in the valley between the ridges with east-west axis. Occurrence of fog shows maximum in October at both sites but high occurrence of fog at Chuncheon is also noted in the winter. Occurrence of fog at Andong in October is much larger than that at Chuncheon. High occurrence of fog in October is due to favorable synoptic condition for fog formation such as weak wind, clear day and small depression of the dew-point. Fog occurrence at Chuncheon is closely related to very weak wind condition where wind speed is less than $0.5m\;s^{-1}$. The weak wind at Chuncheon in winter is due that pressure driven channeling wind (southerly) cancels out partly downslope northerly flow during nighttime. On the other hand, fog at Andong occurs well when wind is southeasterly which is thermally forced flow during nighttime. Southeasterly provides cold, moist air from the narrow valley to Andong during nighttime, leading to favorable condition for formation of fog.
