산업간호교육과정이 간호학생의 산업간호사에 대한 역할인식에 미치는 영향 (Impact of the Independent Occupational Health Nursing Course to the Role Orientation of Baccalaureate Nursing Students)

  • Social trends influence the need for inclusion of basic concepts of occupational health into generic nursing education. Several techniques have been used to incorporate occupational health into baccalaureate programme. These include clinical preceptorships in employee health services, lectures on occupational health issues into community health nursing courses and the integration of occupational health concepts throughout the nursing curriculum and organize an independent course of occupational health nursing for two semester hours. The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of this course to the role orientation of nursing students. In March 1998, pre-test was conducted with all 39 students. Post- test for the subjects and the survey for the other comparison group were conducted after the course in May. Structured questionnaires were distributed which were composed of 42 items related to the role of occupational health nurse and each item was measured on a scale of 1 to 5. Results are as follows: 1) The paired t-test supported the hypothesis that role orientation of students was improved through the occupational health nursing course (t=-3.93, p=.000), 2) As the result of t-test between the subject and the comparison group, the mean score of the role orientation in the case of subject was significantly higher than that of the comparison group(t=13.3449, p=.0005). The enlargement of occupational health nursing course must be a facilitating factor to the improvement of the role orientation of baccalaureate students. It is needed to measure occupational health nursing competence of them in the future.

발달성협응장애 아동의 인지기반 작업수행(Cognitive Orientation to daily Occupational Performance; CO-OP) 중재에 대한 체계적 고찰 (A Systematic Review of Cognitive Orientation to Daily Occupational Performance for Children with Developmental Coordination Disorder)

  • 목적 : 본 연구는 발달성협응장애 아동을 대상으로 인지기반 작업수행 중재의 목표 활동, 중재 방법 및 중재 효과, 평가도구에 관한 정보를 수집하고 분석하여 중재 효과에 대한 근거를 제시하고자 하였다. 연구방법 : 본 연구는 2012년 1월부터 2022년 10월까지 게재된 논문을 대상으로, PubMed, Embase, ScienceDirect, Cochrance Library 데이터베이스를 이용하여 검색하였다. 검색어는 ('developmental coordination disorder' OR 'DCD') AND ('Cognitive Orientation to daily Occupational Performance' OR 'Cognitive Orientation to Occupational Performance' OR 'CO-OP')이었다. 검색된 211편 중 선정기준과 배제기준에 따라 총 7편의 논문을 선정하여 분석하였다. 연구결과 : 대상 문헌은 무작위 대조군 연구가 2편, 비무작위 두 집단 연구가 1편, 비무작위 한 집단 연구가 3편, 단일 대상 연구가 1편으로 전반적으로 근거 수준이 높게 나타났다. 중재의 목표 활동은 놀이, 교육, 일상생활활동 영역 순으로 선호도가 높았다. 인지기반 작업수행 중재는 대부분 한 회기에 1시간씩, 10회기로 진행하였으며, 작업수행과 운동기술에 긍정적인 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 중재의 효과는 주로 Canadian Occupational Performance Measure(COPM)과 Performance Quality Rating Scale(PQRS)을 이용하여 작업수행 향상을, Movement Assessment Battery for Children(MABC)를 이용하여 운동 기술 향상을 평가하였다. 결론 : 본 연구는 발달성협응장애 아동의 인지기반 작업수행 중재 적용에 있어 임상적 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 보인다.

일개 상급종합병원 간호사의 직무만족, 직무스트레스 및 고객지향성에 관한 연구 (A Study of Occupational Satisfaction, Stress and Customer Orientation of Upper-scale General Hospital Nurses)

  • Purpose: To examine the relations among occupational satisfaction, stress, and customer orientation of upper-scale general hospital nurses. Method: We studied with structured questionnaires with total 66 questions for 218 nurses working at university hospitals in Gangwon-do from February 2 to 22, 2010. Result: Occupational satisfaction and customer-oriented character increased when nurses' ages and career experiences were higher, married, working in daytime without shift and in higher positions. Occupational stress increased when nurses were younger, not married, with three shifts, and when they were general nurses. However, there was no statistical difference. Customer-oriented character had positive correlation with occupational satisfaction and stress while occupational satisfaction had negative correlation(r=-0.358) with occupational stress. Conclusion: As occupational stress and satisfaction of nurses in university hospitals showed significant relations with customer-oriented character, t is necessary to reduce occupational stress of nurses, and strengthen occupational satisfaction of them.

A review of cognitive orientation to daily occupational performance with stroke

  • Objective: The self-decisions of the client regarding the meaningful work as a therapeutic approach of client-orientation. The Cognitive Orientation to daily Occupational Performance (CO-OP) is an occupation-oriented problem-solving approach. The purpose of this study was to describe the goals and intervention protocols of CO-OP in those affected by stroke. Design: A systematic review. Methods: Using EBSCOhost, PubMed, and ProQuest databases, we searched studies published in the past decade that utilized the CO-OP intervention. An initial search revealed 71,171 potential articles. After applying our search criteria to screen the titles, abstracts, and full-text, we included 7 articles that met our inclusion and exclusion criteria. In this study, we used the patient, intervention(s), comparison, outcome method to analyze the 7 selected studies. We analyzed the frequency of goals and intervention protocols. Results: Seven articles met our selection criteria; these studies included participants with an almost normal cognitive function from inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation facilities. CO-OP was used for 237 goals; the most used goal was the instrumental activities of daily living. The training procedure used 3 types of self-selecting goals in the activities. One of the goals was not trained, but was only evaluated to determine the generation effect. The most common outcome measurements included the Canadian Occupational Performance Measure and the Performance Quality Rating Scale. Conclusions: This research provided information about the effectiveness of CO-OP and selecting the correct evaluation tool to assess the efficiency of the intervention. This study suggests that treatment with CO-OP in occupational therapy is effective and that it outlines common protocols.

의료기관 종사자의 고객접점 (MOT)서비스교육만족도, 고객지향성 및 서비스몰입 간의 관계 (The Relationships among the Service Education Satisfaction, Service Involvement, and Customer Orientation of Hospital Employees)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to evaluate the relationships among the service education satisfaction, service involvement, and customer orientation of hospital employees after yearly-planned MOT service education. Methods: The data collection was done through the questionnaire survey in a university hospital located in D city from March 15 to 31, 2010. The statistical analysis was done by SPSS/WIN 18.0 program. Results: The enrolled employees were two hundred and seventy six. Among the characteristics of employees, adequate work load, good payment, reasonable promotion system, suitability of work aptitude and good relationships with staff improved the service education satisfaction, customer orientation, and service involvement of hospital employees. For the customer orientation, old age and lower educational background were positive factors. The correlations among the service education satisfaction, customer orientation, and service involvement of hospital employees were significant. The factors that affect customer orientation and service involvement were found to be age, suitability of work aptitude and service education satisfaction. Conclusion: In conclusion, customer orientation and service involvement were related with the satisfaction of employees for working condition and service education. In terms of good medical service quality, plans for maintaining adequate working environment and systematic service education should be established.

병원간호사의 내부마케팅 인식, 임파워먼트, 직무만족이 고객지향성에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Internal Marketing Perception, Empowerment, and Job satisfaction on Customer Orientation of Clinical Nurses)

  • Purpose: This descriptive study attempted to identify the influence of internal marketing perception, empowerment, and job satisfaction on customer orientation of clinical nurses. Methods: The subjects were 411 nurses with over one year working experience in a university hospital, located in I-city. The data were collected from April 20 to 30, 2012. using a self-report questionnaire. The data were analyzed using hierarchical multiple regression with the SPSS/WIN 17.0 program. Results: There were significant differences in customer orientation depending on general characteristics(age, marital status, education, position, clinical experience, and department). Internal marketing perception, empowerment, and job satisfaction correlated with customer orientation. As the results of hierarchical multiple regression analysis for impact factors on nurses' customer orientation show, factors are the outpatient department in working places(${\beta}$=.10), education and training in internal marketing perception(${\beta}$=.12) and empowerment(${\beta}$=.44), which accounted for 31.1% of customer orientation. Conclusion: Therefore, nurse managers should identify the needs to perceive nurses as internal customers, and the internal marketing strategy should be performed to empower nurses. Also, it is needed to place nurses with high customer orientation at the outpatient department.

Effect of Nurses' Emotional Labor on Customer Orientation and Service Delivery: The Mediating Effects of Work Engagement and Burnout

  • Background: The emotional labor performed by organization members affects psychological well-being at the individual level, which consequently affects results at the organizational level. Moreover, despite evidence that the customer orientation and service level of nurses greatly affect hospital management, studies that comprehensively analyze emotional labor, work burnout, and work engagement related to customer orientation and service level are lacking. This study investigated relationships and paths by designing a model of the effect of emotional labor performed by nurses on the level of service delivery and customer orientation. Methods: This survey-based study was based on a path analysis designed to verify a hypothesized model involving emotional labor performed by nurses, level of service delivery, customer orientation, work engagement, and burnout. Questionnaires were distributed to 378 nurses in general hospitals with more than 500 beds located in Seoul, Republic of Korea, between March 25 and April 8, 2013. Results: The results showed that deep acting and work engagement had direct and indirect effects on increasing the level of service delivery and customer orientation of nurses. However, surface acting had an indirect effect on reducing the level of service delivery and customer orientation. Conclusion: It would be more effective to develop interventions to enhance deep acting and work engagement than to attempt to reduce surface acting and work burnout in clinical nursing settings.

인지 기반 작업수행(Cognitive Orientation to daily Occupational Performance: CO-OP) 그룹 중재가 뇌성마비 아동의 작업수행기술에 미치는 영향: 사례연구 (Effect of Group Cognitive Orientation to Daily Occupational Performance (CO-OP) Intervention on the Occupational Performance Skills of Children With Cerebral Palsy)

  • 목적 : 본 연구는 뇌성마비 아동의 작업수행기술에 인지 기반 작업수행(Cognitive Orientation to daily Occupational Performance; CO-OP) 그룹 중재가 효과가 있는지 알아보고자 한다. 연구 방법 : 연구 선정기준에 부합하는 뇌성마비 아동 3명을 대상으로 2021년 4월부터 6월까지 진행하였으며, 연구 설계는 단일실험연구 ABA를 적용하였다. 기초선 기간(A) 3회기, 중재 기간(B)은 10회기(주 1회, 60분/회), 재기초선 기간(A') 3회기로 구성하여 실시하였다. 중재 전후 비교를 위한 평가로는 운동발달평가, 시지각 평가, 일상생활 동작 평가를 시행하였으며, 매회기의 수행의 질을 평가하기 위해서 수행의 질 평가척도를 사용하였다. 결과 : 3명의 대상자 모두 3가지 공통 목표 활동(양치질하기, 색종이 접기, 옷 입고 벗기)에서 작업수행의 질이 향상되었다. 또한 시지각, 대 운동과 소 운동, 일상생활 동작 평가 점수도 향상되었다. 결론 : CO-OP 그룹 중재가 전 학령기 및 학령기 뇌성마비 아동의 학업 전 기술 및 작업수행 향상에 효과적인 것으로 나타났다.

보건관리대행 산업간호사의 업무수행 실태분석 (Situation Analysis of Work Performance on the Occupational Health Nursing Services Provided in Small Scale Enterprises of Korea)

  • Necessity for the guidebook of occupational health nursing practice has been perceived by our OH research members since the health management of small scale enterprises(SSE) was controlled by law. Mean-while, developing the OH manual, our team found that the work situation of occupational health nursing(OHN) services should be prior to the construction of the OHN manual. This procedure was regarded as helpful for producing the OH manual which is fitting to the Korean nursing circumstances. Thus, this study was planned and carried out. The study aimed to find out current situation of work performance on occupational health nursing practice perceived by nurses working for health management of SSE. Questionnaire was distributed to the OH nurses working in the 55 group occupational health service(GOHS) agencies throughout the Korea from January to March in 1997. Ninety-seven nurses of the 31 GOHS agencies responded. Descriptive statistics was used in the SAS programme. Four nurses participated to select nursing area investigated in the study. Those area were 'document', 'job orientation', 'OH reference', 'nursing theory', 'group health education', 'health examination', 'work dilemma', 'approach attitude', 'workplace visit', 'health promotion' and 'communication'. Results can be summarized as follow : Types of document were mentioned diversely depending on the GOHS agencies. Job orientation was seen to be performed by nurses in 56% among the 75.3% nurses responded. Sixty five percents of nurses agreed to apply nursing theories into the OH with lack of knowledge on them. Health screening and health education were responded as commonly provided nursing activities with various nursing obstacles as well as indicated in the area of 'work dilemma', 'approach attitude', 'workplace visit', 'health promotion'.

보건소 직원이 지각하는 서비스지향성이 조직몰입과 경영성과에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Service Orientation on the Organizational Commitment and Management Performance of Public Health Center Workers)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of service orientation on the organizational commitment and management performance of public health center workers. Methods: A cross-sectional survey design was used. A convenience sample of 280 workers was recruited from six public health centers in J province, South Korea. Data were collected by self-report questionnaires, including general characteristics, service orientation, organizational commitment, and management performance. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficients, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, and hierarchical regression using the SPSS 22.0 program. Results: The service orientations explained 34.1%of the variance in organizational commitment and explained 31.4% of the variance in management performance. The service orientation was a significant predictor of organizational commitment and management performance. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that better strategies for service orientations will be helpful to enhance organizational commitment and management performance in the public health center.
