In contemporary society, many fishery industries face a serious problem of having an insufficient number of junior ship officers and engineers. Even though many fishery high schools in Korea made significant effort to produce many talented junior officers and engineers, but after graduation, the students are reluctant to get a job on the fishing vessels. Furthermore, Korean government also invested a large amount of money to train students for ocean-going and costal & near-ocean fishing vessels. However, despite the government's great effort on the training program and education, only a few students wish to work on the fishing vessels. In this article, the author tried to find answers for various questions such as what are the factors that the student prefer, where the student to want to get a job in fishery industries, and how student feel about working at fishing vessels. Furthermore, the author also analyzed the differences between high school student group and Korea Institute of Maritime and Fisheries Technology(KIMFT) student group about occupational orientation by utilizing SPSS statistical program. Additionally, the author surveyed the current onboard status of job position of the high school and KIMFT alumni. This study's results and data will be used for aiding further stimulation and advertisement of job position in fishing vessels and continued daily lives on board.

PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of cognitive orientation to daily occupational performance (CO-OP) interventions on the upper extremity function and occupational performance in subacute stroke patients. METHODS: A total of 30 eligible stroke patients were randomly distributed into the CO-OP experimental group (n = 15) and the traditional occupational therapy (OT) control group (n = 15). The CO-OP approach was applied for twelve 60-minute sessions. The Jebson Taylor Hand Function Test (JTHFT), the Korean version of the Modified Barthel Index (K-MBI), and the Performance Quality Rating Scale (PQRS) were used for outcome evaluations. RESULTS: There was a statistically significant difference in the paralytic upper extremity function before and after treatment (p < .01) between the group treated with the CO-OP approach and the group treated with traditional OT. The occupational performance of the CO-OP approach group showed a significant improvement (p < .01), and this group also showed a statistically significant improvement in quality of performance compared to the traditional OT group (p < .01). CONCLUSION: The CO-OP approach may be useful in clinical practice as a therapeutic intervention for improving the functional recovery and performance of subacute stroke patients. Future research should be carried out to investigate the persistence of this effect involving more participants and follow-up studies should also be undertaken.
Objective : This study aims to provide clinical evidence by systematically reviewing domestic CO-OP intervention studies. Methods : 13 papers suitable for selection criteria were finally selected and conducted. The analysis was divided into general characteristics and qualitative levels. Results : As a result of analyzing the contents of study, research has been conducted continuously since 2015, and the level of evidence for CO-OP intervention study was mainly single subject design. The subjects of the study were applied to both children and adults, and as the target activity areas of CO-OP intervention, children were shown to be play and leisure, and adults were instrumental daily living. COPM/PQRS were frequently used for evaluation to examine effectiveness of interventions. For domain specific strategies, children used body position, attention to doing, task specification, and verbal motor mnemonic. For adults, body position, attention to doing, task specification, and feeling to movement, verbal motor mnemonic, verbal rote script were used. Conclusion : It was found that CO-OP intervention is continuously being applied in occupational therapy, and age and diagnosis group are expanding. It is significant in that it provided evidence for implementing CO-OP interventions in clinical practice through a systematic review of domestic CO-OP intervention studies.
This thesis intends to make a study on the effectiveness of Nursing Professors through perceptual psychological approach. Purpose of the Study Researches have been made relating teacher′s effectiveness measurement. However, they share a common defect that they have been done on the basis of superficial aspects of the problems aspects that can bi measured by general objective survey only, but this study is designed "to understand his behavior in terms of a human behaving and of a self as an instrument"-principle, based upon the Perceptual Psychology which puts more stress on the inner perception than on the external one. Method of the Study This thesis is based chiefly on the two sources : "Perceptual Orientation Scale"(Chunghoon Choy, 1971) which has been standardized on the basis of perceptual psychology and the question acres made by the researcher of this thesis and given to the 34 Nursing Professors in seoul and other country. Result of the Study The method of data operation by Pearson "r" asserts that there were distinct deep relation Between Perceptual orientation and fellow′s estimate, while a little relation among the estimate of a-administration, educational backgrounds and occupations but no relations the status of experiences. It can be concluded that the estimates between fellows working at "the same fields" have kept deep relations together on perceptual orientation which resulted from finding out a useful method to measure occupational effectiveness according to the perceptual field. Conclusion of the Study The personnel administration has been managed according to external flatus and not positive operation: on the other hand, this study holds, It shall be operated in accordance with the estimates by fellow, the "Preceptual Orientation Scale" for more positive ability. The study requires the following researches on the devoted professional occupations, such as medical doctors, teachers, nurses, etc. for the purpose of increasing their occupational effectiveness more scientifically.
Objective : In this study, the upper extremity use, executive function, and occupational performance effects of cognitive orientation to daily occupational performance (CO-OP) interventions for patients with stroke were assessed. Methods : The study was designed as a single-group pre-post test with 20 sessions. The participants were five hospitalized patients with stroke who were present in a rehabilitation setting, and their onsets were more than 3 months previously. Outcomes were measured using the Canadian Occupation Performance Measure (COPM), Performance Quality Rating Scale (PQRS), Executive Function performance Test - Korean version (EFPT-K), and Motor Activity Log (MAL). The Wilcoxon signed-rank test was conducted to determine the difference between the pre-and-post of CO-OP interventions. The statistical significance level was p<.05. Results : The upper extremity function showed significant changes and the execution function showed significant changes in preparation, sequencing, judgment and safety, and closing, except for items to be started. The performance of the task also showed significant changes. Conclusion : Through 20 sessions of CO-OP interventions, especially in patients with chronic stroke, the upper extremity function, execution function, and task performance were improved. We found that CO-OP intervention had a positive effect on the improvement of detailed task elements as well as the performance of tasks overall, in patients with stroke.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to find out the effects of a Home-based cognitive occupational therapy program conducted for the dementia patients in the initial stages living in Taebaek region in Gangwon-do. Methods : This study carried out Home-based cognitive occupational therapy intervention by 30 Occupational Therapy Dept. students and volunteers targeting 30 dementia patients in the initiative stages for eight sessions, once a week. To identify the change of cognitive function of the participants before and after the program, MMSE-K was used for measuring. Results : As a result of applying Home-based cognitive occupational therapy to the dementia patients in the initial stages, overall cognitive function improvement was demonstrated. Especially, statistically significant improvement was exhibited in orientation, memory retrieval, the concentration of attention, and language ability. Conclusion : The program for cognitive function improvement is considered to be usefully applied to intervention in the dementia patients. The development of various Home-based occupational therapy intervention programs is required in order to adopt the Home-based occupational therapy service in the future.
Objectives : This research was conducted to plan a strategy on the activities for ADHD who want to improve, and to use the strategy to find out how it influences the occupational performance when applying Cognitive Orientation to a daily Occupational Performance (CO-OP) approach. Methods : A single Subject AB design was employed. The subjects was one children with ADHD. The experiment consisted of 10 sessions spread over 7 weeks. The objective selected through COPM with guardians was improvement of chopstick use by children. In the course of the intervention, the overall CO-OP process was explained, continued analysis of performance and practice were encouraged in order to learn the skill of chopstick use, and guidance was given for DSS. Performance was measured by the time to move beans from one plate to another, starting from when the chopsticks were picked up. Results : The time to pick up the beans was 22.3s before the intervention, which was decreased by 7.2s to 15.1s after the intervention. The parents' COPM score showed an improvement of 3 points for performance and 4 points for satisfaction, demonstrating a clinically significant change. Conclusion : This study provides evidence that CO-OP is beneficial in occupation performance in children with ADHD.

The hand coordinate systems for measuring vibration exposures and biodynamic responses have been standardized, but they are not actually used in many studies. This contradicts the purpose of the standardization. The objectives of this study were to identify the major sources of this problem, and to help define or identify better coordinate systems for the standardization. This study systematically reviewed the principles and definition methods, and evaluated typical hand coordinate systems. This study confirms that, as accelerometers remain the major technology for vibration measurement, it is reasonable to standardize two types of coordinate systems: a tool-based basicentric (BC) system and an anatomically based biodynamic (BD) system. However, these coordinate systems are not well defined in the current standard. Definition of the standard BC system is confusing, and it can be interpreted differently; as a result, it has been inconsistently applied in various standards and studies. The standard hand BD system is defined using the orientation of the third metacarpal bone. It is neither convenient nor defined based on important biological or biodynamic features. This explains why it is rarely used in practice. To resolve these inconsistencies and deficiencies, we proposed a revised method for defining the realistic handle BC system and an alternative method for defining the hand BD system. A fingertip-based BD system for measuring the principal grip force is also proposed based on an important feature of the grip force confirmed in this study.
The purpose of this study is to investigate relations between the organizational culture and job satisfaction of ordinary dental technicians who are serving at dental laboratories. Findings of the study are summarized as follows. Ordinary dental technicians' job satisfaction as a whole was measured 3.40 in average score. In detail, those dental technicians were highest in satisfaction about their work, followed by their work conditions, organizational relations and occupation itself in order, but showed some dissatisfaction in terms of their self-realization. Regarding relations between the organizational culture and job satisfaction of ordinary dental technicians, the former was found significantly affecting the latter. Those dental technicians' job satisfaction was being most positively influenced by innovation-orientation as one of their organizational culture styles, followed by task-orientation. In regard to relations between sub-areas of the satisfaction and styles of the culture, ordinary dental technicians' organizational relations were being significantly, positively affected by such styles of their organizational culture as relation-orientation and task-orientation. Those technicians' occupational satisfaction, self-realization and work conditions were being strongly influenced by one of their organizational culture styles, that is, innovation-orientation. Originary dental technicians' work satisfaction was not being significantly affected by any of the organizational culture styles. The more relation- or task-orienting ordinary dental technicians were in organizational culture, the stronger their organizational relations were. The more innovation-orienting ordinary dental technicians were in organizational culture, the more those dental technicians' satisfaction regarding their occupation, self-realization and work conditions is likely to positively change. These findings indicate that ordinary dental technicians are even more orienting both relation and task in organizational culture, while being afraid of innovation and that their organizational culture as a whole is somewhat strict hierarchically.
Purpose - Nowadays, more than ever before, fierce competition, deep market segmentation, short product life cycles, and intensifying customer needs are putting increasing pressure on franchise's organizations to satisfy their customers by creating market-oriented relationships with and enhancing their market knowledge of them. One way that this might be achieved is by establishing deep ties (i.e., job commitment and job satisfaction) with their employees. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine how two important constructs of franchises' strategic efforts, LO (learning orientation) and RMO (relationship marketing orientation), affect job satisfaction, given the mediating role of job commitment. A franchise system comprises a set of contractual arrangements by which mutual obligations are performed. An organizational learning goal motivates employees to improve their abilities and master the tasks they perform. Relationship marketing, in addition, is to identify, establish, maintain, and enhance relationships with customers and other stakeholders to ensure that the objectives of all parties are met and this is done through the mutual exchange of promises. In a relationship marketing orientation, then, a firm creates, maintains, and enhances a strong relationship with its customers by sustaining long-term ties. This study was designed to examine the evolution of various theoretical approaches to franchise systems in order to determine whether theories about firms have significantly affected the franchise system. To this end, the authors developed a structural model consisting of several constructs. Previous studies have suggested that franchises' learning and relationship marketing orientations are important occupational immersion dimensions driving job satisfaction. Research design, data, methodology - We empirically tested a process of how the learning orientation and the relationship marketing orientation influence job commitment and job satisfaction using survey data drawn from 150 responding franchisees who were interviewed about their individual tendencies. Results - The results of this study provide empirical evidence that learning orientation, relationship marketing orientation, and job commitment all influence franchisees' job satisfaction. The results of this study indicate that, first, learning orientation had a significant effect on job satisfaction; second, relationship marketing orientation was positively related to job commitment; third, job commitment had a significant effect on job satisfaction. We also found that relationship marketing orientation and job satisfaction were mediated by job commitment. Conclusions - The findings of this study confirm the importance of learning orientation and relationship marketing orientation in maintaining a positive marketing relationship between franchiser and franchisee from to the perspective of the market. This indicates that franchiser support such as educational programs provided by the franchiser will help franchisees attain higher business management achievement and satisfaction. Moreover, a positive relationship between franchisees and consumers can be maintained through tie effects. Our findings also suggest that learning orientation plays a critical role in job satisfaction within the franchise system.
