This paper proposes a framework for creating acrobatic scenes such as soccer ball lifting using various users' videos. The proposed method can generate a desired result within a few seconds using a general video of user recorded with a mobile phone. The framework of this paper is largely divided into three parts. The first is to analyze the posture by receiving the user's video. To do this, the user can calculate the pose of the user by analyzing the video using a deep learning technique, and track the movement of a selected body part. The second is to analyze the movement trajectory of the selected body part and calculate the location and time of hitting the object. Finally, the trajectory of the object is generated using the analyzed hitting information. Then, a natural object lifting scenes synchronized with the input user's video can be generated. Physical-based optimization was used to generate a realistic moving object. Using the method of this paper, we can produce various augmented reality applications.
The R-trees are usually used for an index of trajectories in moving-objects databases. However, they need to access a number of nodes to trace same trajectories because of considering only a spatial proximity. Overlaps and dead spaces should be minimized to enhance the performance of range queries in moving-objects indexes. Trajectories of moving-objects should be preserved to enhance the performance of the trajectory queries. In this paper, we propose the TP3DR-tree(Trajectory Preserved 3DR-tree) using clusters of trajectories for range and trajectory queries. The TP3DR-tree uses two split policies: one is a spatial splitting that splits the same trajectory by clustering and the other is a time splitting that increases space utilization. In addition, we use connecting information in non-leaf nodes to enhance the performance of combined-queries. Our experiments show that the new index outperforms the others in processing queries on various datasets.
Recently, there have been researches on storage and retrieval technique of moving objects, which are highly concerned by user in database application area such as video databases, spatio-temporal databases, and mobile databases. In this paper, we propose a new signature-based indexing scheme which supports similar sub-trajectory retrieval at well as good retrieval performance on moving objects trajectories. Our signature-based indexing scheme is classified into concatenated signature-based indexing scheme for similar sub-trajectory retrieval, entitled CISR scheme and superimposed signature-based indexing scheme for similar sub-trajectory retrieval, entitled SISR scheme according to generation method of trajectory signature based on trajectory data of moving object. Our indexing scheme can improve retrieval performance by reducing a large number of disk access on data file because it first scans all signatures and does filtering before accessing the data file. In addition, we can encourage retrieval efficiency by appling k-warping algorithm to measure the similarity between query trajectory and data trajectory. Final]y, we evaluate the performance on sequential scan method(SeqScan), CISR scheme, and SISR scheme in terms of data insertion time, retrieval time, and storage overhead. We show from our experimental results that both CISR scheme and SISR scheme are better than sequential scan in terms of retrieval performance and SISR scheme is especially superior to the CISR scheme.
With the increase of social crime rate, the interest on the intelligent security system is also growing. This paper proposes a detection system of monitoring whether abnormal behavior is being carried in the images captured using CCTV. After detection of an object via subtraction from background image and morpholgy, this system extracts an abnormal behavior by each object's feature information and its trajectory. When an object is loitering for a while in CCTV images, this system considers the loitering as an abnormal behavior and sends the alarm signal to the control center to facilitate prevention in advance. Especially, this research aims at detecting a loitoring act among various abnormal behaviors and also extends to the detection whether an incoming object is identical to one of inactive objects out of image.

An optical method of slit beam scanning topography is presented for the 3-dimensional profile measurement of free-formed surfaces. A slit beam of laser is projected in a scanning mode and its illuminated trajectory on the object is captured by using a CCD camera. The 3-dimensional coordinates of the trajectory is then computed by using the given geometry between the slit beam and the camera, so that the whole surface profile of the object can be obtained in a successive manner. Detailed optical principles are described with special emphasis to lateral are discussed to demonstrate the measuring performances of the slit beam scanning topography proposed in this study.

Objects, which change their positions over time such as cars, are called moving objects. Trajectories of a moving object have large volumes because trajectories are accumulated. Efficient indexing techniques for searching these large volumes of trajectories are needed in the moving object databases. Especially the TB-tree which supports bundling trajectories is suitable for processing combined queries which have 2 steps: first step is selecting trajectories (range search), next is selecting the parts of each trajectory (trajectory search). But the TB-tree has unnecessary disk accesses cause of lack of spatial discrimination in range queries. In this paper, we propose and implement the splitting polity which can reduce dead spaces of non-leaf node in order to process range queries efficiently. The policy has better performance about range queries than the TB-tree as well as the advantages of the TB-tree, such as highly space utilization and efficient trajectory extraction. This paper shows that the newly proposed split policy has better performance in processing the range queries than that of the TB-tree by experimental evaluation.

Because we can usually get many information through analyzing trajectories of moving objects on spatial networks, efficient trajectory index structures are required to achieve good retrieval performance on their trajectories. However, there has been little research on trajectory index structures for spatial networks such as FNR-tree and MON-tree. Also, because FNR-tree and MON-tree store the segment unit of moving objects, they can't support the trajectory of whole moving objects. In this paper, we propose an efficient trajectory index structures based on signatures on a spatial network, named SigMO-Tree. For this, we divide moving object data into spatial and temporal attributes, and design an index structure which supports not only range query but trajectory query by preserving the whole trajectory of moving objects. In addition, we divide user queries into trajectory query based on spatio-temporal area and similar-tralectory query, and propose query processing algorithms to support them. The algorithm uses a signature file in order to retrieve candidate trajectories efficiently Finally, we show from our performance analysis that our trajectory index structure outperforms the existing index structures like FNR-Tree and MON-Tree.

This paper presents an adaptive active tracking system with sector based scanning for a single PTZ camera. Dividing sectors on an image reduces the search space to shorten selection time so that the system can cover many targets. Upon the selection of a target, the system estimates the target trajectory to predict the zooming location with a finite amount of time for camera movement. Advanced estimation techniques using probabilistic reason suffer from the unknown object dynamics and the inaccurate estimation compromises the zooming level to prevent tracking failure. The proposed system uses the simple piecewise estimation with a few frames to cope with fast moving objects and/or slow camera movements. The target is tracked in multiple steps and the zooming time for each step is determined by maximizing the zooming level within the expected variation of object velocity and detection. The number of zooming steps is adaptively determined according to target speed. In addition, the iterative estimation of a zooming location with camera movement time compensates for the target prediction error due to the difference between speeds of a target and a camera. The effectiveness of the proposed method is validated by simulations and real time experiments.

Kinematics of grasping and manipulation by a multi-fingered robotic hand where multi-fingertip surfaces are in contact with an object is solved. The surface of the object was represented by B-spline surfaces in order to model the objects of various shapes. The fingers were modeled by cylindrical links and a half ellipsoid fingertip. Geometric equations of contact locations have been solved for all possible contact combinations between the fingertip surface and the object. The simulation system calculated joint displacements and contact locations for a given trajectory of the object. Since there are no closed form solutions for contact or intersection between these surfaces, kinematics of grasping was solved by recursive numerical calculation. The initial estimate of the contact point was obtained by approximating the B-spline surface to a polyhedron. As for the simulation of manipulation, exact contact locations were updated by solving the contact equations according to the given contact states such as pure rolling, twist-rolling or slide-twist-rolling. Several simulation examples of grasping and manipulation are presented.
Multi-Object trajectory modeling is a major challenge in MOT. CenterTrack tried to solve this problem with a Heatmap-based method that tracks the object center position. However, it showed limited performance when tracking objects with complex movements and nonlinearities. Considering the degradation factor of CenterTrack as the dynamic movement of pedestrians, we integrated the EKF into CenterTrack. To demonstrate the superiority of our proposed method, we applied the existing KF and UKF to CenterTrack and compared and evaluated it on various datasets. The experimental results confirmed that when EKF was integrated into CenterTrack, it achieved 73.7% MOTA, making it the most suitable filter for CenterTrack.
