An object color can be seen differently under the various outer illuminants. However, human visual system has color constancy that the object color can be seen constantly under the different outer illuminants. When the viewer watches TV under specific outer illuminants, he perceives distorted color due to the emitting spectrum of outer illuminants as well as the radiation of CPT itself. Namely, when the outer illuminants such as fluorescent and incandescent lamps incident on CPT, brightness, saturation, hue, and contrast on color pictures are changed, he perceives distorted color from the original color. In this paper color enhancement algorithm based on light intensity and outer light decision function using RGB sensor was proposed. The implemented TV of proposed algorithm has higher visual quality at the view point of human visual system and more vivid than that of conventional color TV.

A intelligent mobile hexapod robot with various types of sensors and wireless camera is introduced. We show this mobile robot can detect objects well by combining the results of active sensors and image processing algorithm. First, to detect objects, active sensors such as infrared rays sensors and supersonic waves sensors are employed together and calculates the distance in real time between the object and the robot using sensor's output. The difference between the measured value and calculated value is less than 5%. This paper suggests effective visual detecting system for moving objects with specified color and motion information. The proposed method includes the object extraction and definition process which uses color transformation and AWUPC computation to decide the existence of moving object. We add weighing values to each results from sensors and the camera. Final results are combined to only one value which represents the probability of an object in the limited distance. Sensor fusion technique improves the detection rate at least 7% higher than the technique using individual sensor.
In this paper, we describe a strongly improved tracking method using combination of CAMshift and Kalman filter algorithm. CAMshift algorithm doesn't consider the object's moving direction and velocity information when it set the search windows for tracking. However if Kalman filter is combined with CAMshift for setting the search window, it can accurately predict the object's location with the object's present location and velocity information. By using this prediction before CAMshift algorithm, we can track fast moving objects successfully. Also in this research, we show better tracking results than conventional approaches which make use of single color information by using both color information of HSV and YCrCb simultaneously. This modified approach obtains more robust color segmentation than others using single color information.
This paper is proposed the wavelet morphology algorithm with the spatial auto-object segmentation concept and the clustering concept. When it is segmented the color face by using the proposed algorithm, it is made to the simple image. Also, it is used the spatial quality in order to segment and detect the image as a real time without the user's manufacturing. This removed a small part that is regarded as a noise in image by HSV color model and applied the wavelet morphology to remove a part excepting for the face image. In this paper, it is made a comparison between the wavelet morphology algorithm and the morphology algorithm. And It is showed to accurately detect the face object parts in the image appled to HSV color space model.
Motion tracking and object segmentation are the most fundamental and critical problems in vision tasks suck as motion analysis. An active contour model, snake, was developed as a useful segmenting and tracking tool for rigid or non-rigid objects. Snake is designed no the basis of snake energies. Segmenting and tracking can be executed successfully by energy minimization. In this research, two new paradigms for segmentation and tracking are suggested. First, because the conventional method uses only intensity information, it is difficult to separate an object from its complex background. Therefore, a new energy and design schemes should be proposed for the better segmentation of objects. Second, conventional snake can be applied in situations where the change between images is small. If a fast moving object exists in successive images, conventional snake will not operate well because the moving object may have large differences in its position or shape, between successive images. Snakes's nodes may also fall into the local minima in their motion to the new positions of the target object in the succeeding image. For robust tracking, the condensation algorithm was adopted to control the parameters of the proposed snake model called "adaptive color snake model(SCSM)". The effectiveness of the ACSM is verified by appropriate simulations and experiments.
As an important part of the Computer Vision, the object recognition and tracking function has infinite possibilities range from motion recognition to aerospace applications. One of methods to improve accuracy of the object recognition, are uses colors which have robustness of orientation, scale and occlusion. Computational cost for extracting features can be reduced by using color. Also, for fast object recognition, predicting the location of the object recognition in a smaller area is more effective than lowering accuracy of the algorithm. In this paper, we propose a method that uses SURF descriptors which applied with color model for improving recognition accuracy and combines with Kalman filter which is Motion estimation algorithm for fast object tracking. As a result, the proposed method classified objects which have same patterns with different colors and showed fast tracking results by performing recognition in ROI which estimates future motion of an object.
The paper presents a new way of visual descriptor for deformable object retrieval on the basis of partition based description. The proposed descriptor technology partitions a given object into boundary area and interior area and extracts a descriptor from each area. The final descriptor combines these descriptors. From a given image, deformable object is segmented. The center position of the deformable object is calculated. The object is partitioned into N × N blocks on the basis of the given center position. Blocks are classified as boundary area and interior area depending on the pixels in the block. The proposed descriptor consists of extracted MPEG-7 dominant descriptors from both the boundary and interior area. The performance of proposed method is tested on a database of 1,973 handbag images constructed with view point changes. ARR (Average Retrieval Rate) is used for the retrieval accuracy of the proposed algorithm, compared with MPEG-7 dominant color descriptor.

This paper propose a method to detect moving object and locating in real time from video sequence. first the proposed method extract moving object by differencing two consecutive frames from the video sequence. If the interval between captured two frames is long, it cause to generate fake moving object as tail of the real moving object. secondly this paper proposed method to overcome this problem by using doppler effects and HSV color model. finally the object segmentation and locating is done by combining the result that obtained from steps above. The proposed method has 99.2% of detection rate in practical and also this method is comparatively speed than other similar methods those proposed in past. Since the complexity of the algorithm is directly affects to the speed of the system, the proposed method can be used as low complexity algorithm for real time moving object detection.

In this paper we propose a novel method for image retrieval system using image segmentation and salient points. The proposed method consists of four steps. In the first step, images are segmented into several regions by JSEG algorithm. In the second step, for the segmented regions, dominant colors and the corresponding color histogram are constructed. By using dominant colors and color histogram, we identify candidate regions where objects may exist. In the third step, real object regions are detected from candidate regions by SIFT matching. In the final step, we measure the similarity between the query image and DB image by using the color correlogram technique. Color correlogram is computed in the query image and object region of DB image. By experimental results, it has been shown that the proposed method detects multi-object very well and it provides better retrieval performance compared with object-based retrieval systems.

We propose a method that classifies images into two object types man-made and natural objects. A central object is extracted from each image by using central object extraction method[1] before classification. A central object in an images defined as a set of regions that lies around center of the image and has significant color distribution against its surrounding. We define three measures to classify the object images. The first measure is energy of edge direction histogram. The energy is calculated based on the direction of only non-circular edges. The second measure is an energy difference along directions in Gabor filter dictionary. Maximum and minimum energy along directions in Gabor filter dictionary are selected and the energy difference is computed as the ratio of the maximum to the minimum value. The last one is a shape of an object, which is also represented by Gabor filter dictionary. Gabor filter dictionary for the shape of an object differs from the one for the texture in an object in which the former is computed from a binarized object image. Each measure is combined by using majority rule tin which decisions are made by the majority. A test with 600 images shows a classification accuracy of 86%.
