A railroad is used to a lot of area and it is an eco-friendly and an effective means of communication which is a transport for passengers and products. In recent years, the accidents caused by subway and railroad are cognate with people. We need to come up with preparing measures to avoid the accidents. In this paper, to prevent an accident developing and implementing a system which is a railroad management safety system is the purpose. The system is able to provide scalability for smart railroad safety service based on context aware information. Besides, it is able to furnish flexibility through the OSGi framework.

OSGi technology has applied to Home Network, but now it is loaded into even heterogeneous devices in various domains. Therefore, it is necessary to cooperate with each other framework for offering effective services in distributed OSGi frameworks. However until now, OSGi specification doesn't provide any methodthat can share the services registered on remote OSGi frameworks. In order to solve this problem, there have been several researches that used existing distributed middleware technologies such as JXTA and Web Services. However these technologies have some weakness, that is, they consume lots of computing resources and need additional process to transform the services. A middleware called R-OSGi uses only OSGi technology for sharing remote OSGi services, but R-OSGi may have a communication bottleneck and SPOF (Single Point of Failure) problem, because it has a central service registry. In this paper we present RSP (Remote Service Provider), which is a P2P-based effective service sharing scheme on distributed OSGi framework. RSP doesn't need to install additional software nor have the additional transformation process of the service representation, because it uses only OSGi technology. In addition it doesn't have any bottleneck problem and improves scalability by providing the service discovery mechanism using P2P. RSP can also access remote services transparently and it can guarantee reliability by sending an immediate notice about changes of the remote services.

IT기술의 급속한 발달로 홈 네트워킹에 대한 관심이 높아지면서 이를 실현하기 위한 여러 가지 미들웨어 기술이 나왔고, 이러한 기술들에 대한 표준의 필요성이 대두됨에 따라 OSGi라는 단체가 설립되었다. 이 단체는 홈 게이트웨이의 표준을 정의한 스펙을 발표하여 번들이라는 컴포넌트를 통해 서비스를 제공하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 Oscar라는 오픈 소스 프로젝트에서 구현하여 제공하는 Java 기반의 통합 관리 환경인 JMX 번들을 이용하여 비교적 손쉽게 장치들을 관리하는 방법을 제시하고자 한다.

Since different kinds of home network technologies coexist, seamless connections between different kinds of network protocols are essential for home computing environments. Several kinds of home network middleware have been developed and OSGi(Open Service Gateway Initiative) was initiated mainly for interoperability support with service distribution between various middleware environments. Framework, OSGi service platform, has weaknesses of passive service bundle management, user management and device management. Therefore, this paper resolves passive management parts which are critical weaknesses of OSGi Specification Version 3 and proposes SBM (Service Bundle Manager) to effiently manage various service bundles. Additionally, we verify practical effects of SBM through experiments.

In comparison with a existing passive Healthcare system, a healthcare system applied OSGi framework is spontaneous and excellently expandable. But, OSGi-based healthcare system has security vulnerability which OSGi has the technical feature and restriction in the service support area. In this paper, in order to overcome these vulnerability, we propose the technique that applies JXTA standardized P2P platform in OSGi-based healthcare system.

Recently, according to the network environment, there are many researches for home network. Nowadays, in home network, the method that access control policy is managed for each home device by using ACL is popular, and EAM (Extranet access management) is applied as a solution. In addition, the research about secure OS is ongoing based on open operating system and the research of user authentication mechanisms for home network using home server is also in progress. However, these researches have some problems as follows; First, the transmission scope of expected access technology in home network is wide, so unauthenticated outside terminal can access the home network. Second, user is inconvenient because user need to set the necessary information for each device. Third, user privacy and convenience are not considered. OSGi provides a service platform for heterogeneous technologies in home network environment. Here, user access control is one of the core parts which should have no problems such as above items, but there are no concrete researches yet. Thus in this paper, we propose an access control policy management framework and access control operation based on RBAC for user access control in home network environment in which OSGi service platform is operated. First, we list the consideration which is not clearly mentioned in OSGi standard, and then we solve these above problems through new framework. In addition, we propose the effective and economical operation method which reduces the policy change frequency for user access control by using RBAC concept though limited resource of home gateway. Besides, in this paper, these proposed policies are defined separately as user-role assignment policy and permission-role assignment policy, and user decide their own policies. In conclusion, we provide the scheme to enhance the user convenience and to solve the privacy problem.

홈 네트워크가 갈수록 많이 사용되고, 또 그에 따른 보안에 대한 수요도 늘어나고 있다. 본 논문에서는 침입차단시스템을 OSGi 프레임워크 기반의 서비스형태로 구현한다. 침입차단시스템은 JES에서 여러 가지 모니터링 및 제어 서비스의 형태로 나타나고 외부의 유무선 클라이언트는 이러한 서비스클 통해 흠 네트워크 내부에 있는 침입차단시스템을 제어한다 이 침입차단시스템은 보안상태기반의 트래픽으로 그 위험여부를 판단하며 JES를 사용하면 환경에 상관없이 자유롭게 서비스를 이용할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 PDA와 같은 무선 클라이언트에서 침입차단시스템에 대한 제어 서비스를 구현한다.

본 논문에서는 Home Robots을 위한 OSGi 프레임워크(framework) 기반의 홈네트워크(home network) 미들웨어(middleware)를 제안한다. 홈네트워크 서비스는 가정에서의 편안함과 즐거움을 주기 위한 기술로서, 국제 산업 표준 단체에 의해 상호운용성에 대한 표준화가 진행되어 가고 있다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 미들웨어는 Home Robots이 댁내의 네트워크에 동적으로 구성되며, 홈로봇을 통해 다양한 서비스를 이용할 수 있다.

가정 내의 가전기기들이 디지털화되고 있고, 이것들을 네트워크로 연결하여 원격지에서 제어하는 스마트 홈 관련 기술들이 현실화되고 있다. 이러한 환경에서의 컴퓨팅을 위해서는 응용 프로그램간의 호환성 뿐 아니라 데이터의 호환성, 그리고 이종의 프로토콜간의 연동이 필수적이다 따라서 이를 위한 소프트웨어가 바로 스마트 홈 미들웨어이다. OSGi(Open Service Gateway Initiative)(8)는 장비 연결 및 제어로 얻을 수 있는 유효한 서비스나 여러 미들웨어들 간의 통합을 위한 제반 환경 제공을 목표로 하는 비 표준화 단체로써 OSGi 프레임워크 환경에서 서비스들은 서비스 게이트웨이와 서비스 번들의 life-cycle을 따라 동적으로 전개된다. 본 저자들은 SMF(Service Management framework)(9)를 사용하여 OSGi를 기반으로 한 Smart Home Service Bundle에 관해서 연구하였다.
