We investigate the nonlinear motions of discrete loaded cable with different periodic forcing. We present the numerical evidence of the nonlinear motions of the cable by solving initial value problems and obtaining the motions after a long time. There appeared to be various types of nonlinear oscillations over a wide range of frequencies and amplitudes for the periodic forcing term.

Superconducting wire is quenching as soon as transport current exceeded the critical current value. However transport current exceeded the critical current value, quench is not generated immediately. In this paper, the results of the theoretical study for time delay of quench phenomenon are described.

Lifestyle change in the world is spawning an epidemic of Global Obesity. (Newsweek August 11. 2003) People with overweight are at great risk of developing Type II diabetes. The A1C value provides an objective assessment of glucose control over the previous six to eight weeks. The American Diabetes Association recommended values for blood glucose and A1C appear in TABLE 4. In case one who was found to have >7% HbA1C, he(she) may be a patient with pre-DM or DM II. Garment skin leather 표면 코팅에 사용된 폴리우레탄 수지는 polyethylene glycole(PEG)의 함유를 [NCO]/[OH] mole % 비로 달리하면서 합성하였으며, 합성된 폴리우레탄 수지의 기계적 특성은 SEM, FT-IR, UTM 등을 이용하여 측정하였다. 비이온성을 띄고 있는 PEG(poly ethylene glycol)의 [NCO]/[OH] mole % 비가 증가함에 따라 내굴곡성(건식, 습식)의 변화는 없었으며, 내마모도, 인장강도수치가 낮아짐을 알 수 있었다. 반대로 연신율 물성은 증가함을 알 수 있었다. 점도 변화 측정 결과에는 PEG의 [NCO]/[OH] mole % 증가에 따라 점도가 묽어짐을 알 수 있었다.

This study aimed to examine the cause of latent hydraulic property manifestation of ground granulated blast-furnace slag(GGBFS) using different alkali activators in pH, type and quantity. According to the experimental result, the higher pH value accelerated lastly latent hydraulic property and the early stage strength of GCBFS was ranked as activators with the higher pH, in an order of NaOH, $Ca(OH)_{2}$ and $Na_{2}$$Co_{3}$. Also, NaOH had accelerated latent hydraulic property of GGBFS, which had 40~50% of the 3 and 7 days compressive strength of base mortar in case of using 10% of powder-weight. In the case of 30% of GGBFS substitution with annexing 2.5% $Ca(OH)_{2}$, the compressive strength on the 3 and 7 days of the early-age, was increased to 5~10% than that of the same admixture with no activator. With annexing 5.0% $Ca(OH)_{2}$, the strength was increased to 10~20%. Although activator NaOH was effective on the manifestation of latent hydraulic property, it caused cement mortar compressive strength decrease by enlarging pore diameter.

Recently, foreign utilities emphasize the importance of the value-added services based on Information Technology(IT) as one of the strategic technologies for establishing a new power system in the future digital society. They develop many different types of the value-added services and apply the systems for customer. In domestic case, the data from the Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) System is used only for calculating the tariffs. Data from the AMR system can be strategic assets for utilities to provide the value-added services for customer. Development of the value-added services for utilities and customer needs processing and managing the AMR data. In this paper, the energy consulting service, which is adequate to new power system environment, is suggested for development of the value-added services. The application of the suggested service will bring the effect of reducing the monthly bill for customer. Also the service will give not only the effective demand side management(DSM) and load control, but also reduction of the investment for utilities.

This paper describes the portal system architecture of large consumers for ESP(Energy Service Provider) to provide customers with various value added services such as monitoring and controlling a wide variety of electric devices in consumer's premises for optimal energy management from both consumer side and ESP side, and the prototype implementation of 2 kinds of value added services. The architecture is composed of the device portal which gathers the information from electric devices and controls them and the consumer portal which can make ESP operate the optimal energy management with two-way communications. The demand side management and energy management functions was chosen and implemented for the prototype system as value added services. The prototype was designed to create, manage, and trace the events about services between ESP and customers.

A study has been made of the damping force phenomena of the shockabsorber for automobile. The main results obtained are as follows; 1) We can neglect friction loss between cylinder and piston, as it is very small compared to other damping force. 2) Damping force due to coil spring and disc valve shows comparatively stable at various piston speed and oil temperature. 3) Theoretical and experimental values are well agreed on relatively low piston speed. 4) Theoretical value on piston speed of 600mm/sec, 900mm/sec at oil temperature $20^{\circ}C$, $40^{\circ}C$, $60^{\circ}C$ and $80^{\circ}C$ is about 82% of experimental value. 5) Theretical value at oil temperature $-20^{\circ}C$, $0^{\circ}C$ is about 67% of experimental value.
