전기장에 의한 Bi12GeO20 단결정의 굴절률 표시타원체의 변형 (Variation of the Representation Ellipsoid for Refractive Index of Bi12GeO20Single Crystal by an Electric Field)

  • We derived a formula which can calculate the space distribution of refractive index variation by an applied electric field about Bi$_{12}$ GeO$_{20}$ single crystal. Stereographic projection maps of refractive index variation by an applied electric field were made out using numerical value to be calculated by this formula. By the calculated results, since an electric field had applied to [(equation omitted) 1 1] direction and [1 (equation omitted) 1] direction of Bi$_{12}$ GeO$_{20}$ crystal, positive variation of the refractive index of [(equation omitted) 1 1] direction and [1 (equation omitted) 1] direction was the largest. The incremented refractive index per unit electric field was +3.2410${\times}$10$^{-11}$ V$^{-1}$ for the wavelength of 6328 $\AA$. Since an electric field had applied to [1 1 1] direction and [(equation omitted) 1] direction, negative variation of the refractive index of [1 1 1] direction and [(equation omitted) 1] direction was the largest. The decremented refractive index per unit electric field was -3.2410${\times}$10$^{-11}$ V$^{-1}$ for the wavelength of 6328 $\AA$.

칫솔질 교육 후 치면세균막 지수와 수행도의 변화 (Variation in the Index of Dental Plaque Removal and Practice Assessment after Instruction on Toothbrushing)

  • 본 연구에서는 국내에서 권장하고 있는 회전법이 실천 용이하고 치면세균막 제거에 효과적인지 다른 칫솔질 방법과 비교해 보고, 집단칫솔질교육 후 시간흐름에 따른 효과추이를 확인하고자 임의 추출한 20대 대학생을 대상으로 O'leary 지수와 PHP 지수를 구하고 칫솔질 수행도를 조사하였다. 분석은 STATA 11.0을 이용하였다. 회전법과 바스법, 와타나베법의 칫솔질 방법에 따라 O'leary 지수와 PHP 지수 및 칫솔질 수행도가 차이가 있는지에 대해 조사하기 위해 1차부터 3차까지 평균을 비교한 결과 차이가 없었다. 칫솔질 교육 전인 1차, 칫솔질 교육 2주 후인 2차, 칫솔질 교육 4주 후인 3차의 O'leary 지수, PHP 지수 및 칫솔질 수행도의 차이를 확인하기 위해 비모수 표본자료에 사용하는 Kruskal-Wallis test를 수행한 결과 O'leary 지수의 경우 칫솔질 교육 전 측정 시 가장 낮은 점수를 기록하였고, 2차시기 측정치가 가장 높게 나타났다(p=0.0001). PHP 지수는 1차시기 가장 높게 나타났고, 2차시기 감소하였다가 3차시기 다시 증가하는 것으로 나타났다(p=0.0001). 칫솔질 수행도 역시 PHP 지수와 유사한 경향을 보였다(p=0.0001). 이상의 결과로 회전법이 모든 사람에게 획일적으로 권장할 만한 방법인지 좀 더 다각적인 고찰이 필요하고, 칫솔질 교육효과는 시간이 지나면서 감소되므로 지속적인 교육이 실행될 수 있도록 제도적 장치가 마련되어야 함을 알 수 있었다.

대구지역(大邱地域) 일부(一部) 국민학교(國民學校) 아동(兒童)의 비만도별(肥滿度別) 체지방(體脂肪) 비율(比率)과 혈청지질치(血淸脂質値) (Body Fat Percent and Serum Lipid Level of School Children by Obesity Index)

  • This study was conducted to identify the relationship between body fat percent/serum lipid level and obesity index among school children. The study subjects were 277 boys and 266 girls aged between 10 and 11 years old in a selected elementary school in Taegu City. The survey was conducted for the period of two months from May 1 to June 30, 1993. A $R{\ddot{o}}hrer$index(weight/height3) was calculated for each individual as a measure of obesity. Three groups were classified as underweight($R{\ddot{o}}hrer$ index < 109), normal($109{\leq}$ $R{\ddot{o}}hrer$ index < 140), and overweight ($R{\ddot{o}}hrer$ index ${\geq}140$). As for the body fat percent, fat weight, lean body mass were measured by impedance fat, meter(Model SIF-891). Serum total cholesterol. high-density lipoprotein, and triglyceride were measured by automated clinical chemistry analyzer(Astra system). Obesity was found 18.1% in boys and 14.7% in girls. Body weight, fat percent, fat weight, and lean body mass were significantly different among three groups classified by $R{\ddot{o}}hrer$ index in both sexes. Serum total cholesterol, triglyceride, atherogenic index and T-CHO/HDL ratio were also significantly different among three groups in both sexes. Serum total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein, trigylceride, atherogenic index of boys were positively correlated with height, weight. $R{\ddot{o}}hrer$ index, fat weight, lean body mass, and triglyceride. The negative correlation was found in high-density lipoprotein against height, weight, Rohrer index, fat percent, fat weight, lean body mass. Triglyceride and atherogenic index of the girls were positively correlated with height, weight, $R{\ddot{o}}hrer$ index, fat percent, fat weight, lean body mass. The negative correlation was found in high-density lipoprotein against height, weight, $R{\ddot{o}}hrer$ index, fat percent, fat weight, lean body mass. These findings suggest that the prevention of obesity and hyperlipidemia among school children is very important. Thus adoption of healthy life-style is strongly recommended in school health programs in order to prevent the obesity and hyperlipidemia.

  • For the application of the photosensitive barrier ribs with optimal properties such as glass transition temperature, refractive index and coefficient thermal expansion, the boro-silicate glasses was studied. The glass transition temperature, coefficient thermal expansion, and refractive index of the glasses based on the $B_2O_3-Al_2O_3-Al_2O_3-SiO_2$ glass system have been investigated with the different ratio of BaO/$Na_2O$ and $B_2O_3/Na_2O$. Increasing the ratio of $B_2O_3/Na_2O$ was led to the increase of coefficient thermal expansion and the decrease of glass transition temperature. The increase of refractive index of boro-silicate glasses increased with the density of glasses. We suggest the empirical equation for the prediction of refractive index with the glass density, $n=0.123{\rho}+1.182$ with 0.042 as the standard deviation in the boro-silicate glass system. The aim of the present paper is to give a basic result of the thermal and optical properties for designing the composition of photosensitive barrier ribs in PDP.

치과내원 환자의 올리어리(O'Leary) 지수와 개별치아의 치면세균막 지수에 관한 연구 (A study on the O'Leary index and dental plague index of dental patients)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship of the general characteristics of dental patients to their total O'Leary index and individual plaque indexes in a bid to check the oral hygiene state of citizens and evaluate their plaque management ability. The subjects in this study were 288 patients at dental hospitals and clinics in Busan and South Gyeongsang Province. A survey was conducted from September to November 2008. The findings of the study were as follows: 1. Overall, the O'Leary index of the patients investigated stood at 72 percent. By age and gender, the O'Leary index was highest among those in their 30s(83%) and among the women(75%)(p<.05). As to the influence of toothbrushing frequency, the patients who did it twice or more a day had the highest O'Leary index(75%)(p<.001). By the use of oral hygiene supplies, the patients who used oral hygiene supplies had a higher O'Leary index(76%) than the others who didn't(p<.01). 2. As for plaque index for each tooth, 28 percent of their teeth were given zero point, and 52 percent were given one mark. 13 percent were given two marks, and 6.3 percent were given three marks. Thus, the teeth that were given one mark were largest in number(p<.001). 3. As for plaque index for labial posterior mandibular, 43 percent of their teeth were given one point, and 36 percent were given zero mark. 14 percent were given three mark, and 5 percent were given three marks(p<.01). 4. As for plaque index for buccal posterior maxilla, 57 percent of their teeth were given one point, and 20 percent were given zero mark. 16 percent were given two mark, and 6.3 percent were given three marks(p<.01). 5. As for plaque index for lingual posterior mandibular, 56 percent of their teeth were given one point, and 27.8 percent were given zero mark. 9 percent were given three mark and 6 percent were given three mark(p<.001).

씨앗발아 및 발아지수에 근거한 나노입자 독성평가 (Toxicity Assessment of Nanopariticles Based on Seed Germination and Germination Index)

  • 나노물질은 다양한 분야에 널리 사용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 Lactuca(상추)와 Raphanus(알타리무) 씨앗의 발아와 발아지수에 금속산화물 나노입자(CuO, NiO, $Fe_2O_3$, $Co_3O_4$, $TiO_2$, ZnO)가 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 용액상 노출에서 CuO가 가장 큰 영향을 나타내었으며, 발아와 발아지수의 $EC_{50}$는 각 0.46 mg/L와 0.37%로 조사되었다. 씨앗 이용 식물독성 측정에서 상추가 알타리무보다 나노입자 노출에 대해 더욱 민감한 반응을 나타내었다. 일반적으로 나노입자의 씨앗발아와 발아지수에 근거한 영향은 다음의 순서로 조사되었다: CuO > ZnO >NiO > $TiO_2$, $Fe_2O_3$, $Co_3O_4$. 특히 $TiO_2$, $Fe_2O_3$$Co_3O_4$는 최대 노출 농도 1,000 mg/L 농도에서도 뚜렷한 영향을 나타내지 않았다.

Sol-Gel법으로 제조한 $B_2O_3$-$SiO_2$$Al_2O_3$-$SiO_2$ 박막의 특성에 관한 연구 (Study on the Properties of $B_2O_3$-$SiO_2$and $Al_2O_3$-$SiO_2$Coating Films by the Sol-Gel Method)

  • Glass films in the binary system B2O3-SiO2 and Al2O3-SiO2 were prepared on soda-lime-silica slide glass by the dip-coating technique from TEOS and boric acid or aluminum nitrate. Thickness of the films varying with viscosity and withdrawal speed were measured and effect of composition and firing temperature on the properties such as transmittance and refractive index were investigated. nM2O3.(100-n)SiO2(M=B or Al) films containing up to 20mol% B2O3 and 40mol% Al2O3 were transparent. Maximum transmittance at visible range were obtained for the sample containing 15mol% Ba2O3 and 32.5mol% Al2O3 and heat-treated at 50$0^{\circ}C$, respectively. Refractive index of the film containing 15mol% B2O3 was mininum in the B2O3-SiO2 binary system and minimal refractive index was appeared at the film containing 32.5mol% Al2O3. In IP spectra, addition of B2O3 were increased absorption peak intensity of B-O and Si-O-B bond and addition of Al2O3 were decreased absorption peak intensity of Si-O bond, respectively.

주요 비만 판정 지수의 비만 기준 비교 (A Comparative Study on Obesity Judgment Criteria in the Frequently used Obesity Indices)

  • R$\ddot{o}$hrer index, Vervaeck index and Body Mass Index(BMI) are frequently used in order to judge obese subjects in clothing & textiles field. However, there are no certain criteria of judging the degree of obesity. Each researcher utilized these obesity indices according to their own criteria so far. Therefore, the purpose of the study is to suggest a reliable obesity index and new criteria for judging the degree of obesity. The results are as follows; Utilizing frequency analysis, main percentiles, minimums, maximums and ranges were presented by 5 age groups from twenties to sixties. Obesity rates dramatically increased, the subject got older. Especially, obesity rate of the subjects in their fifties and sixties were much higher than other age groups. 1.6 & higher can be used in the R$\ddot{o}$hrer index, 98 & higher can be used in the Vervaeck index, and 25 & higher can be used in the BMI as the Optimal criteria of the obesity. Total of 24 body measurements and 3 obesity indices were used for analyzing the correlation analysis. All heights measurements showed negative correlation with the 3 obesity indices. It is determined heights measurements have high correlation with R$\ddot{o}$hrer index compare to other indices. Crotch height, interscye back, neck shoulder point to breast point, bust circumference, waist circumference, upper arm circumference and armscye circumference have high positive correlation with all obesity indices. According to the ANOVAs by each percentile group of the R$\ddot{o}$hrer and Vervaeck indices, there are big significances in all measurements and obesity indices except arm length. In general, heights decreased significantly by getting bigger, while circumferences and lengths, widths and indices increased rapidly by getting bigger. The results of the analysis by each percentile group in the BMI, it showed the significant differences in the all measurements except cervical height and arm length. There were similar tendency of differences according to the degree of the obesity in BMI percentile groups. It was confirmed that the BMI is the most reliable index for judging the obesity owing to the high correlations and significant differences with other measurements.

Spectroscopic ellipsometer를 이용한 삼원 SiO박막의 증착조건에 따른 유전율 특성 (The dielectric properties of triple SiO thin film using spectroscopic ellipsometer)

  • SiO thin films are deposited by evaporator the refractive index of wave length, photon energy and the absorptive rate of these films are measured by spectroscopic ellipsometer. It is derived the absorptive rate and permitivity of SiO thin films from the equations that calculating the refractive index. And the result show good agreement with the calculated values and experimental values. As a result, the wave length of light is increased in the condition that the angle of incidence is fixed on SiO thin film, the basic absorption and the absorption impurities are found in the low wave length (below 450 nm in this study) and the reflective absorption and conductive absorption is increased by the form of exponential function over the low wavelength. The absorptive rate is increased by increased the angle of incidence and thickness of SiO film for the insulating layer. As the thickness of SiO film is increased, the value of complex permitivity is decreasing and as wave length of incidence is increased., the value of dielectric is linearly increasing.

대규모 RDF 데이터의 특성을 고려한 효율적인 색인 기법 (An Efficient Indexing Scheme Considering the Characteristics of Large Scale RDF Data)

  • 본 논문에서는 RDF 데이터 특성을 고려하여 대규모 데이터에 대한 질의 처리를 향상시키기 위한 새로운 색인 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 기법은 RDF 트리플 중 주어와 술어의 값이 중복적으로 사용되는 특징을 이용하여 주어와 목적어를 S-O 색인으로 구성한다. 또한, 트리플 중 상대적으로 가장 적은 수의 값을 갖고 있는 술어는 별도의 P 색인으로 구성하여 총 색인의 크기를 최소화한다. 술어를 포함한 질의 요청시 크기가 작은 P 색인을 우선 검색하고 술어를 포함하지 않은 질의 요청에 대해서는 S-O 색인을 우선 검색한다. 성능평가를 통해 제안하는 기법이 기존 기법에 비해 질의처리 속도 관점에서 성능이 우수함을 보인다.
