이소플라본을 함유한 마이크로에멀젼의 안정성 및 응용 평가 (The Evaluation for Stabilization and Application of Microemulsion Containing Isoflavone)

  • The isoflavone as a derivatives of flavone is colorless crystalline compounds. It acts on synthesis of fibronectine, collagen III, collagen I in human normal fibroblast by same biological activity to animal hormone. In this study, we tried to search and demonstrate system content rate of dermal translocation system for cosmetics using microemulsion containing isoflavone. The results of microemulsion stability test by centrifugation, storage in incubator and circulation chamber showed that separation of phase did not appear after 30 days. By the skin flexibility test, it has confirmed efficiency and effect as cosmetics materials. As the result, the microemulsion showed that skin flexibility factor improved up to 7.6%. We could confirm that O/W type microemulsion was stable system.

  • Microemulsion is stable to aggregation, sedimentation, fusion and has $3nm{\sim}200nm$ of particle size which is transparent and semitransparent. The isoflavone as a derivatives of Flavone is colorless crystalline compounds. It has similar basic structure to steroid materials which is hormone that acts to skin physiological phenomenon. On this study, we tried to search and demonstrate system content rate of dermal translocation system for cosmetics using O/W type microemulsion containing isoflavone. We manufactured O/W microemulsions by phase inversion emulsification method. It's was found that POE(20) monostearate with HLB value 14 caused microemulsion to be formed, which had $4nm{\sim}18nm$ of average diameter and $3nm{\sim}33nm$ of particle size distribution. Apparent viscosities of the microemulsions have increased in proportion to add surfactant dose.

W/O Microemulsion 세정제의 물성 및 세정성 평가 (Evaluation of Cleanness and Physical Properties of W/O Microemulsion)

  • Nonionic surfactant/water/탄화수소 오일/alcohol의 4성분계 시스템에서 12종의 조성물을 제조하여 물성 평가를 수행한 결과, 30.5-31.1 dyne/cm의 낮은 표면장력의 값과, 1.6-7.2 c.p.의 낮은 점도의 물성을 보여 산업용 세정제로서의 기본 물성을 보여주었다. 이들 조성물들이 안정한 단일상으로 존재하는 온도의 범위는 alcohol/surfactant(A/S)비의 증가에 따라 감소되는 경향을 보이고 있으나, 전체적으로는 계면활성제의 hydrophilic lipophilic balance(HLB) 값에 크게 영향을 받고 있으며, HLB 값이 높을수록 안정하게 존재하는 온도 영역이 증가되는 경향을 보여주고 있다. 그리고 각각의 조성물에 물의 함량을 증가 시켜 안정한 단일상이 유지되는 물의 최대 함유량을 측정한 결과 HLB 값이 낮은 계면활성제를 사용하였을 경우 HLB 값이 6.4인 비이온 계면활성제를 사용할 경우 22.1%까지도 물을 함유할 수 있었고, 물의 양이 증가됨에 따라서 단일상으로 존재하는 온도영역은 좁아졌다. 오염원으로 플럭스 제조에 사용되는 abietic acid에 대한 세정 효율을 UV/Visable Spectrophotometer와 FT-IR Spectrometer와 같은 분석기기를 이용하여 검토하여 본 결과, 비이온 계면활성제의 HLB 값이 낮을수록 높은 세정 효율을 보여주어, W/O microemulsion의 경우 비이온 계면활성제에 따른 세정력의 변화가 매우 큼을 확인 할 수 있었다. 그러나 A/S의 비가 증가에 따른 세정효율의 차이는 별다른 경향을 보이지 않았다. 또한 산업세정에 있어서 중요한 세정 요소로 작용하는 변수인 온도 변화와 초음파 주파수의 변화에 따른 세정효율을 측정한 결과, 온도가 높을수록 그리고 초음파의 주파수가 낮을수록 높은 세정력을 보여주었다. 세정 공정 중 린스조에서의 유분 오염물이 함유된 린스액의 유수분리 효율을 측정한 결과, HLB 값이 6.4인 비이온 계면활성제를 사용한 시스템의 경우 $25^{\circ}C$ 이상에서 85% 이상의 높은 제거 효율을 보여, 효율적인 세정 및 관리가 가능한 것으로 판단되었다.

  • The oil in water type ME of 4 component system was composed with POE monoalkyl ether and POE sorbitan monoalkyl ester as surfactant, saturated hydrocarbon, side chain structure and aromatic structure as oil, and glycerine as cosurfactant using high pressure homogenizer. The objective of this study was to examine the role of surfactant and oil structure on droplet size and stability. The experimental results showed that the droplet size was smaller with bigger polarity of oil, less hydrocarbon, longer hydrophilic chain of surfactant and higher concentration of glycerine. SQ and LP systems showed very stable but AB and ISB system unstable microemulsion.

  • We studied on the preparation and evaluation of O/W type microemulsion containing "wax, liquid paraffine and quaternary ammonium salt". And also it was obtained to stability of microemulsions by mono ethylene glycol(MEG) addition. The microemulsions were generally prepared at 96${\sim}$97$^{\circ}C$ by the phase inversion method. We used polyoxyethylene(20) sorbitan monooleate(POE(20)SMO) and distearyl dimethyl ammonium chloride(D.D.A.C.) as the emulsifiers at microemulsion preparation. From the results, we could get best condition for microemulsion preparation, in case of oil phase, montanic ester wax ; 1.1wt%, paraffine wax ; 1.1wt%, liquid paraffine ; 3.1wt%, propylene glycol ; 0.6wt% and ethylene glycol monobutyl ether ; 0.6wt%, when the ratio(wt%) of D.D.A.C. and POE(20)SMO were 2 : 3. And also we could obtained that the distributed particle size of the final microemulsions were about 8${\pm}$1.5nm and the mean particle size was 7${\pm}$0.5nm. We got following results from final microemulsions that the percent of transmittance; 96${\sim}$98% at 700nm. And the microemulsion blended with MEG of 5${\sim}$15wt% showed smaller particle size and more stable distribution than non-containing MEG.

광택용 왁스로서 4차 암모늄염을 함유한 마이크로에멀젼의 특성 (Properties of Microemulsion Containing Quaternary Ammonium Salt as Polishing Wax)

  • In this work, the properties as polishing wax for automobile of O/W type microemulsion containing wax, liquid paraffine and quaternaryammonium salt was investigated. The microemulsions were prepared at $96{\sim}97^{\circ}C$ by the phase inversion method, and polyoxyethylene(20) sorbitan monooleate (POE(20)SMO) and distearyl dimethyl ammonium chloride(D.D.A.C) as the emulsifiers were used. The mean particle size of the rnicroemulsions was about 7${\pm}$0.5nm and as the properties of polishing wax, gloss increased degree, water resistant gloss degree, initial and final contact angle after water resistance were tested. The result was that the value of water resistantance and contact angle were decreased with increasing amount of POE(20)SMO and D.D.A.C., while the gloss degree values did not affected. And the rnicroemulsion blended with mono ethylene glycol(MEG) of 5${\sim}$15wt% showed smaller particle size and more stable particle size distribution than without MEG. Finally, this microemulsion showed more excellent values of gloss degree, the water resistant gloss degree and contact angle, than two kinds of commercial polishing wax for automobile.

마이크로에멀젼을 이용한 우르솔릭산 피부 적용제제의 설계 및 평가 (Formulation Design and Evaluation of Ursolic Acid Microemulsion Delivery System for Topical Formulation)

  • Ursolic acid (UA), a bioactive triterpene acid, has been known to increase collagen content in human skin in addition to other actions such as anti-inflammatory, skin-tumor prevention and anti-invasion. However, it is poorly soluble in water. Therefore, we firstly prepared microemulsion system with benzyl alcohol, ethanol and Cremophor EL, RH 40 and Brij 35 as surfactant in order to increase solubility of UA and then prepared microemulsion was dispersed in o/w cream base for the topical delivery of UA in an effort to improve anti-wrinkle effect. The pseudo-ternary phase diagrams were developed and various microemulsion formulations were prepared using benzyl alcohol as an oil, Cremophor EL, RH 40 and Brij 35 as a surfactant. The droplet size of microemulsions was characterized by dynamic light scattering. The accumulation of VA in the skin from topical cream was evaluated in vitro using hairless mouse skins. The mean droplet size was $26.8{\pm}6.6$ nm for microemulsions II with Cremophor EL. All UA creams showed pseudoplastic flow and hysterisis loop in their rheogram, depending on the type of materials added in topical creams. The in vitro accumulation data demonstrated the UA topical cream prepared with the combination of Poloxamer 407 and Xanthan gum as a copolymer showed higher accumulation percentage than those prepared with either Poloxamer 407 or Xanthan gum. These results suggest that UA topical cream using microemulsion systems may be promising for the topical delivery of UA.

Enhanced Biodegradation of Lindane Using Oil-in-Water Bio-Microemulsion Stabilized by Biosurfactant Produced by a New Yeast Strain, Pseudozyma VITJzN01

  • Organochlorine pesticide residues continue to remain as a major environmental threat worldwide. Lindane is an organochlorine pesticide widely used as an acaricide in medicine and agriculture. In the present study, a new lindane-degrading yeast strain, Pseudozyma VITJzN01, was identified as a copious producer of glycolipid biosurfactant. The glycolipid structure and type were elucidated by FTIR, NMR spectroscopy, and GC-MS analysis. The surface activity and stability of the glycolipid was analyzed. The glycolipids, characterized as mannosylerythritol lipids (MELs), exhibited excellent surface active properties and the surface tension of water was reduced to 29 mN/m. The glycolipid was stable over a wide range of pH, temperature, and salinity, showing a very low CMC of 25 mg/l. Bio-microemulsion of olive oil-in-water (O/W) was prepared using the purified biosurfactant without addition of any synthetic cosurfactants, for lindane solubilization and enhanced degradation assay in liquid and soil slurry. The O/W bio-microemulsions enhanced the solubility of lindane up to 40-folds. Degradation of lindane (700 mg/l) by VITJzN01 in liquid medium amended with bio-microemulsions was found to be enhanced by 36% in 2 days, compared with degradation in 12 days in the absence of bio-microemulsions. Lindane-spiked soil slurry incubated with bio-microemulsions also showed 20-40% enhanced degradation compared with the treatment with glycolipids or yeast alone. This is the first report on lindane degradation by Pseudozyma sp., and application of bio-microemulsions for enhanced lindane degradation. MEL-stabilized bio-microemulsions can serve as a potential tool for enhanced remediation of diverse lindane-contaminated environments.

친환경 준용매계 세정제의 제조와 그 세정 특성 (Preparation and Cleaning Properties of Environmental Friendly Semi-Solvent Cleaning Agents)

  • 나프텐계 탄화수소, terpene계 천연 용제, 계면활성제 및 물을 이용하여 친환경적 준용매계 세정제를 제조하고 이들의 물리적 특성과 flux 및 grease 오염물에 대한 세정효율을 측정하였다. 준용매계 세정제의 물성은 pH가 6.0~6.7의 약산성으로 중성에 가까운 값을 나타내었으며 표면장력은 27.4~28.4 dyne/cm의 값을 나타내었다. 또한 wetting index는 물이 소량 들어간 경우 8.65~12.46, 물이 들어가지 않은 경우 11.99~17.43의 값을 가졌으며 나프텐계 탄화수소 30 wt%, terpene계 천연 용제 45 wt%, 계면활성제 13 wt%, 보조계면활성제 12 wt%, 물 0 wt%의 조성으로 제조한 세정제가 17.43으로 가장 큰 값을 가졌으며 세정 효율 역시 flux에 대하여 98.64%, grease에 대하여 93.44%로 우수하였다. 전기 전도도는 소량의 물을 첨가한 경우 $0.5{\sim}0.9{\mu}s/cm$의 값을 나타내어 물이 용제 중에 균일하게 분산되어 있는 W/O형의 준용매계 세정제임을 확인하였다
