점농어, Lateolabrax maculatus 치어의 산소 소비율에 미치는 수온과 염분의 영향 (Effects of Water Temperature and Salinity on the Oxygen Consumption Rate of Juvenile Spotted Sea Bass, Lateolabrax maculatus)

  • 점농어 치어의 수온과 염분에 따른 대사율 변화를 조사하기 위해 평균 무게 $5.5{\pm}0.3g$인 개체를 대상으로 수온 (15, 20, $25^{\circ}C$)과 염분 (0, 15, 30 psu)에 따른 산소 소비율을 측정하였다. 9가지 실험 조합의 산소 소비율은 유수식 형태의 호흡실을 이용하여 24시간 동안, 3반복 측정하였다. 수온은 점농어 치어의 산소 소비율에 유의한 영향을 미쳤지만(p<0.001), 염분과 수온 염분의 상호작용은 영향을 미치지 않았다(p>0.05). 각 염분 조건에서 수온 상승에 따라 산소 소비율은 유의적으로 증가하였다(p<0.001). 15, 20 그리고 $25^{\circ}C$에서의 시간당 평균 산소 소비율은 각각 328.8~342.3, 433.9~441.0 그리고 $651.5{\sim}659.9mg\;O_2\;kg^{-1}\;h^{-1}$이었다. $Q_{10}$ 값은 염분의 영향은 받지 않았으며, 수온에 따라 변하였다. 15~20, $20{\sim}25^{\circ}C$ 그리고 전 수온 범위에서의 $Q_{10}$ 값은 각각 1.63~1.75, 2.24~2.26 그리고 1.92~1.98이었다. 대사에 의한 에너지 손실은 수온의 증가에 따라 유의하게 증가하였다(p<0.001). 15, 20 그리고 $25^{\circ}C$에서의 호흡 대사로 인한 일간 평균 에너지 손실은 각각 224.6~233.8, 296.3~301.2 그리고 $444.9{\sim}450.7kJ\;kg^{-1}\;d^{-1}$이었다. 이 실험 결과는 점농어 치어를 염분 적응 후 염분 차이에 의한 에너지 손실 없이 해수뿐만 아니라 담수에서 사육이 가능하다는 것을 나타내며, 사육관리 및 성장을 위한 생체역학 모델 결정에 활용할 수 있다.

중풍으로 인한 마비성 조음장애 환자의 침술 후 말소리의 음향학적 평가 연구 (Acoustic Evaluation of acupuncture therapy effects on post-stroke dysarthria)

  • Stroke makes several physical deficits. Dysarthria is one of the most difficult problems in conventional medicine because of the weakness of neuromotor control. The purpose of this study is to find the acoustic characteristics of acupuncture therapy effects on post-stroke dysarthria. Seven patients with stroke(infarction or hemorrhage) were selected by CT or MR imaging. The authors applied acupuncture therapy by inserting needles into 8 acupuncture points, ipsilateral ST4, ST6 and contralateral LI4, ST36 on facial palsy side, and CV23, CV24, bilateral "Sheyu" for 4 weeks. Speech sample were composed of five simple vowels /a,e,i,o,u/ and meaningless polysyllabic words CVCVC(C: stops, affricated, fricative sounds, v: /e/). .VOT, total duration of each speech samples and vowel formant (F1&F2) were analyzed on Spectrogram. The results are as follows: 1. VOT of bilabial and velar stops was decreased post treatment. The VOT of bilabial glottalized pre and post treatment were statistically significant (p < 0.05). 2. Total duration of polysyllabic words was decreased post treatment. Decrement of total duration containing the bilabial was statistically significant (p<0.05). 3. First formant of round vowel /o/ pre and post treatment was statistically significant (p<0.05).

외용겔 및 다중유제크림의 코지산 방출특성과 피부자극성 (Drug Release Characteristics and Skin Irritancies of Topical Gels and Multiple Emulsion Creams Containing Kojic Acid)

  • Kojic acid (KA) is an antimelanogenic agent which has been widely used in cosmetics to whiten the skin color. However, it has the drawbacks of the skin irritancy and the instability against the pH, temperature, and light. In order to overcome these problems, various topical gels and multiple emulsion creams which can control the release of active ingredient, KA, were formulated employing cream bases of mineral oil with caprylic capric triglyceride and hydrophilic polymers such as chitosan, carbopol. and pluronics. Using Franz diffusion cells mounted with a synthetic cellulose membrane (MWCO 12,000), drug release characteristics of the formulations were evaluated by the HPLC assay of KA concentration in the receptor compartment of pH 7.4 phosphate buffered saline solution. Drug release from chitosan-based gels (ChitoGel) obeyed to the first order kinetics with a rapid release especially in the initial period. However, pluronic-based gels (PluGel) and carbopol-based gels (CarboGel) revealed controlled release of drug to some extent, followed by the square root-time kinetics. Moreover, the release of KA was further controlled with the W/O/W multiple emulsion creams (MultiCream), showing the apparent zero order release kinetics by virtue of dynamic ratecontrolling membrane of the oil layer. The flux $(J,\;{\mu}g/cm^2/hr)$ of ChitoGel. CarboGel. PluGel. and MultiCream in the initial period of 6hr were 73.30, 28.67. 24.04 and 7.72, respectively. On the other hand, the skin irritancy score of ChitoGel and MultiCream were observed as 2.5 and 2.3 respectively, in the rabbit skin irritation test. Although there were insignificant differences at p<0.05 between those formulations, it was possible to conclude that the W/O/W multiple emulsion creams containing KA might be a good candidate for an antimelanogenic drug delivery system due to the controlled release of acidic drug molecules.

PLT 박막에서 조성에 따른 동적 초전특성의 주파수 의존성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effects of the La Concentration on the Frequency Dependence of Dynamic Pyroelectric Properties of PLT Thin Films)

  • Modulation frequency dependences of the pyroelectric properties of PLT (P $b_{1-x}$ L $a_{x}$ $Ti_{1-x}$ 4/ $O_3$) thin films with La concentrations of 5, 10 and 15㏖% have been investigated by using the dynamic method. The PLT thin film with 10㏖% of the La concentration (PLT(10) thin film) shows the most excellent pyroelectric properties among the films. For PLT(10) thin film, the pyroelectric coefficient shows the maximum value of 6.6$\times$10$^{-9}$ C/$\textrm{cm}^2$ㆍK without frequency dependence. The figure of merits for the voltage responsivity and specific detectivity are 1.03$\times$10$^{-11}$ Cㆍcm/J and 1.46$\times$10$^{-9}$ Cㆍcm/J, respectively. Voltage responsivity corresponding to the pyroelectric voltage is almost constant at low modulation frequency and decreases in proportional to frequency at high modulation frequency. Voltage responsivity is 5.15 V/W at 8Hz. Noise equivalent power (NEP) and specific detectivity ( $D^{*}$) of the PLT(10) thin film are 9.93$\times$10$^{-8}$ W/H $z^{1}$2/ and 1.81$\times$10$^{6}$ cmH $z^{1}$2/W at the frequency of 100Hz, respectively. The results indicate that PLT(10) thin film is very suitable for pyroelectric IR sensors.s.s.

  • High quality CdTe single crystal for the solar cell fabrication was grown by vertical Bridgman method. The etch pits patterns of {111} surfaces of CdTe etched by Nakagawa solution was observed the {11} A composed of Cd atoms with typical triangle etch pits of pyramid mode. From the photoluminescence measurement of {111} A, we observed free exciton $(E_x)$ existing only high quality crystal and neutral acceptor bound exciton ($A^{\circ}$, X) having very strong peak intensity. Then, the full width at half maximum and binding energy of neutral acceptor bound exciton were 7 meV and 5.9 meV, respectively. By Haynes rule, and activation energy of impurity was 59meV. Therefore, the origins on impurity level acting as a neutral acceptor were associated Ag or Cu elements.

제주 화산석으로부터 합성한 Na-A 제올라이트에 의한 Cu 이온의 흡착 특성 (Adsorption Characteristics of Cu Ions by Zeolite Na-A Synthesized from Jeju Volcanic Rocks)

  • The adsorption characteristics of Cu ions were studied using the zeolite Na-A synthesized from Jeju volcanic rocks. The effects of various operating parameters such as initial concentration of Cu ions, contact time, solution pH, and solution temperature were investigated in batch experiments. The adsorption of Cu ions by Na-A zeolite was fitted well by pseudo-second-order kinetics and the Langmuir isotherm model. The maximum adsorption capacity determined using the Langmuir isotherm model was 152.95 mg/g. In addition, the adsorption of Cu ions by zeolite Na-A was primarily controlled by particle diffusion model in comparison with the film diffusion model. As the temperature increased from 303 K to 323 K, ${\Delta}G^o$ decreased from -2.22 kJ/mol to -3.41 kJ/mol, indicating that the adsorption of Cu ions by Na-A zeolite is spontaneous process.

  • An experimental study was performed to investigate the characteristics of refrigerant flow rate control and superheat in an evaporator with an electronic expansion valve(EEV). The EEV used in this study was devised using a needle valve coupled with a stepping motor controlled by a personal computer. A Pill control equation was used to control the superheat of the evaporator and to set the superheat to $5^{\circ}C$. In order to determine an optimum running condition for the system, Pill parameters were varied for the wide range of values. The running condition of an air conditioning system with a PI control was reasonably stable compared with that of the Pill control. Experimental results for the PI control using parameter values, $K_p=1.5$, $T_i=400(sec)$ and $T_s=6(sec)$ show that the superheat reached its target value. When external disturbances were introduced to the system, the superheat target value was reached within about 3 minutes. When the EEV was applied to the air conditioning system driven by an inverter, room temperature control was excellent.

  • We have investigated an optical waveguide isolator with a multimode interference section by wafer direct bonding, operating at a wavelength $1.55\;{\mu}m$. In order to fabricate the device for monolithic integration, the wafer direct bonding between a magnetic garnet material as a cladding layer and a semiconductor guiding layer has been achieved. We found that wafer direct bonding between InP and GGG $(Gd_3Ga_5O_{12})$ is effective for the integration of a waveguide optical isolator. The isolation ratio was obtained to be 2.9 dB in the device.

  • In this study, we used the sputtering method with single target to obtain the thick and uniform PZT($PbZrTiO_3$) films for micromached IR sensor application. Then, we investigated the etching characteristics and conditions which is necessary process to fabricate the IR sensor. We tested the C-axis orientation and P-E loop of the deposited PZT films with the XRD and RT66A, respectively. Also we investigated the surface of the films by the AFM and SEM analysis.

  • 중저준위 방사성폐기물처분장 인공방벽의 핵종유출 저지능을 평가할 수 있는 단순 모델이 제안되었다. 이 모델은 현재 우리나라에서 제안되고 있는 처분장 개념을 고려하여 고안되었으며, 인공방벽의 설계에 적합한 설계 기준 유출 과 인공방벽 성능평가에 적합한 현실적 유출 두 가지 경우를 다루고 있다. 모델의 유용성을 보이기 위해 화학적 특성이 다른 다섯 핵종에 대해 모의 계산을 수행하고 그 결과를 분석하였다.
