Nylon6계 반응 상용화제에 의한 PP/PS 블렌드에 관한 연구 (A Study on the PP/PS Blends with Nylon 6 Reactive Compatibilizers)

  • RPP(maleic-anhydride grafted polypropylene)와 OPS(oxazoline grafted polystyrene) 블렌드는 비혼화성으로서 반응이 일어나지 않으므로 RPP와 OPS에 Nylon6를 반응상용화제로 첨가하였다. RPP, Nylons, OPS간의 반응을 반응토오크, FT-IR, DSC로 관찰하였다. 3성분계 반응의 결과물로 반응상용화제인 RPP/Nylon6/OPS가 생성됨을 확인하였다. RPP/Nylon6/OPS의 반응은 RPP와 OPS가 1:1일 때 Nylons의 당량비가 0.66에서 최대 반응토오크를 얻었으며, Nylon6의 당량비가 1일 때 반응 효율이 크게 나타났다. RPP/Nylon6/OPS의 반응에 따른 몰폴로지의 변화를 관찰하여 반응정도가 높을수록 미세한 균일상을 얻었다. 블렌드의 물성은 Nylon6의 당량비가 1.5일 때 가장 높은 물성값을 얻었다. 만들어진 RPP/Nylon6/OPS 3성분계 블렌드를 PP/PS 단순 블렌드에 첨가하여 상용성을 고찰하였고 PP/Nylon6/PS 비혼화성 블렌드와 비교분석 하였다. 결과적으로 RPP/Nylon6/OPS가 PP와 PS 블렌드계의 반응상용화제로 적절함을 확인하였다.

  • Polypropylene(PP)/Nylon6 블렌드에서 반응압출법으로 만들어진 상용화제와 용액반응법으로 만들어진 상용화제를 첨가하였을 때 나타나는 물성의 변화를 관찰하였다. 상용화제로는 PP에 maleic anhydride (MAH)가 graft된 PP-g-MAH를 사용하였다. 적정법으로 확인한 결과 반응압출법에 의해서 제조된 상용화제와 용액반응법에 의해서 만들어진 상용화제는 각각 0.3%, 2.7%의 MAH가 graft되었다. PP/Nylon6 블렌드의 조성을 75/25로 고정하였고 twin-screw extruder (L/D=30, ${\psi}=30$)를 이용하여 300rpm에서 블렌딩하였다. PP/Nylon6 블렌드에서 PP-g-MAH의 양을 점차로 증가시켰을 때 Nylon6의 결정화 peak가 점차 감소하여 마침내 소멸되는 것을 관찰할 수 있었다. Nylon6의 결정화 peak가 소멸되는 것은 상용화제의 제조방법이나 상용화제의 양보다는 상용화제에서 graft되어 있는 MAH의 함량에 의한 것으로 나타났다. Nylon6의 정상적인 결정화 온도에서 결정화를 이루지 못했던 Nylon6 가 PP의 결정화 온도까지 내려와 결정화하는 소위 concurrent crystallization 현상이 발생하였다. Nylon6의 결정화 peak가 사라지는 현상 이외에도 용융 거동에서는 Nylon6의 결정화 온도 부근인 $193^{\circ}C$에서 작은 발열 peak가 나타났고 Nylon6 용융온도보다 $5^{\circ}C$ 가량 낮은 온도 ($215^{\circ}C$)에서 새로운 용융 peak가 나타남을 관찰할 수 있었다. 이 peak들을 분석하기 위해 DSC를 사용하여 Nylon6를 annealing 시킨 결과, $193^{\circ}C$의 발열 peak는 완전히 결정화하지 못한 Nylon6의 결정화 peak이며 $215^{\circ}C$의 peak는 불완전하게 결정화한 Nylon6의 용융 peak임이 밝혀졌다.

  • 용융상태에서 nylon 12 elastomer에 소량의 dicumyl peroxide (DCP) 와 triallyl cyanuate (TAC)를 첨가하여 nylon 12 elastomer를 부분적으로 가교시켰으며, 이에 따른 nylon 12 elastomer의 기계적, 동적기계적 그리고 유변학적 특성을 tensile test, DMA, small amplitude oscillating rheometer를 이용하여 각각 알아보았다. TAC의 함량이 증가함에 따라 인장탄성률과 영률은 증가하고, 파단신율은 감소하였다. DMA 측정결과, DCP로 부분적으로 가교시킨 nylon 12 elastomer의 PTMG상의 유리전이온도는 순수한 nylon 12 elstomer에 비해 증가하였고, storage modulus는 nylon 12상의 용융온도 이상에서도 거의 일정한 값을 나타내었다. 부분적으로 가교시킴에 따른 유변학적 특성의 변화는 TAC의 함량이 증가함에 따라 solid like behavior와 shear thinning behavior가 점점 뚜렷하게 나타남을 알 수 있었다. 이로부터 nylon 12 elastomer를 용융상태에서 부분적으로 가교시킴으로써 용융가공성을 저하시키지 않으면서, 기계적 물성은 효과적으로 향상시킬 수 있었으며, 특히, nylon 12 elastomer의 사용가능 온도범위를 증가시킬 수 있었다.

초극세 나일론 부직포의 염색성 및 후처리 (Dyeing Properties and Aftertreatment of UMF Nylon 6 Nonwoven Fabric)

  • Two kinds of nylon 6 fabrics with different fiber denier, such as ultramicro fiber(UMF) nonwoven fabric(monodenier 0.05d) and regular fabric(monodenier 2.92d) are dyed with C.I. Acid Red 18(leveling type) and C.I. Acid Blue 113(milling type). Dyeing rates and adsorption isotherms are measured at $60^\circ{C}$, pH 5.0 and at liquor ratio of 1 : 250. To investigate the effect of fixing agents (Matexil FA-SNX, Monorex-RD and Tinofix-ECO) on UMF nylon 6 nonwoven fabric, dyeing is carried out at 3~10% owf with 1 : 2 metal-complex acid dyes, such as Kayalax Navy R(unsulphonated type), Lanasyn Blue S-BL(monosulphonated type) and Kayakalan Black BGL(disulphonated type). The dyeing rate of UMF nylon 6 is faster than that of regular nylon 6. From the results of absorption isotherms, the regular nylon 6 has higher saturation value of Acid Red 18 compared with UMF nylon 6, whereas UMF nylon 6 has higher saturation value of the acid Blue 113. From the absorption isotherms of both acid dyes, the regular nylon 6 has higher saturation value of Acid Red 18, whereas UMF nylon 6 has higher saturation value of the acid Blue 113. The wash fastnesses of UMF nylon 6 increases in the order of metal-complek dye containing nonsulphonated group > monosulphonated group>disulphonated group. Aftertreatment of UMF nylon 6 dyed with unsulponated and monosulphonated dyes improves wash fastness upto grade 1.5, where as that of UMF nylon 6 dyes with disulphonated dye does not improve wash fastness.

전기방사를 이용한 S-keratose/Nylon 6 부직포의 제조 (Preparation of S-keratose/Nylon 6 Nonwoven Webs by Electrospinning)

  • Oxidation method was used to extract S-keratose from wool. Wool was treated with performic acid and soluble fraction(S-keratose) was collected by evaporating the solvent. S-keratose and Nylon 6 were dissolved in formic acid at the ratio of 100/0, 80/20, 50/50, 20/80, and 0/100, and S-keratose/Nylon 6 web of sub-micron size was made by electro-spinning technique. SEM, EA, FT-IR, XRD, and TGA were used to characterize the properties of S-keratose/Nylon 6 solutions and electrospun fibers. As the Nylon 6 content increased, viscosity, conductivity of the electrospinning solution and the diameter of spun fiber increased. Electrospun nonwoven webs have the same S-keratose/Nylon 6 ratios of the spinning solutions. The crystalline structures of S-keratose and Nylon 6 existed separately in the electrospun webs. Thermal stability of the webs increased due to Nylon 6 content.

직물의 표백과 세척이 유연제(DSDMAC) 흡착에 미치는 영향(제2보) (The Effects of Bleaching or Washing on the Absorption of Softener (DSDMAC) (Part 2))

  • This study was carried to figure out the effect of washing on the cationic surfactant (DSDMAC) absorption by nylon fabrics washed with anionic surfactant(SDBS). Cationic surfactant absorption, static electricity, and fabric stiffness of washed and unwashed nylon fabrics were estimated. And to check the correlation between DSDMAC absorption and SDBS absorption, SDBS absorption by nylon fabrics were measured The results were as follows; 1. Nylon fabrics washed with SDBS absorbed more DSDMAC than unwashed fabrics. The more SDBS absorbed by nylon fabrics, the more DSDMAC absorbed. This is account for the increase in negative zeta potential of washed nylon fabrics. 2. Absorption of SDBS by nylon fabrics increased static electricity. Absorption of DSBMAC by washed and unwashed nylon fabrics greatyl decreased static electricity, and static electricity of washed nylon fabrics more decreased than that of unwashed nylon fabrics. 3. When washing cycles were under 20, DSDMAC absorption decreased fabric stiffness. As washing cycles were over 20, DSDMAC deposited as particles acted as points of weak adhesion between adjacent fibers, so increased the fabric stiffness.

나일론 6 직물의 아크릴산 그라프트 중합과 그라프트 나일론의 세척성 -그라프트 나일론 직물의 헤모글라빈 오구 세척성 향상- (The Effect of Graft using Acrylic Acid on the Detergency for the Nylon 6 Fabric -Improvement of Hemoglobin Removing Rate on Grafted Nylon-)

  • Nylon fabric was grafted for the purpose of the development of detergency against the hemoglobin as a protein soil. By free-radical producing chemical initiator systems the graft using acrylic acid(AA) as a hydrophilic vinyl monomer was performed to change surface energies in the presence of ammonium persulfate(APS) as an initiator and then acrylic acid grafted Nylon was treated with NaOH solution. The surface morphology for Nylon-g-NaAA with changing graft rate were studied by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) The properties of the Nylon such as diameter tenacity elongation contact angle and the hemoglobin removal were also investigated. The diameter of grafted Nylon fiber increased as the graft ratio increased. The tenacity of grafted Nylon also increased with increasing graft ratio up to 15% The elongation however decreased gradually according to graft, The contact angle decreased after graft and alkaline treatment. The amount of hemoglobin on the grafted Nylon increased in proportion to the graft ratio. Hemoglobin was easily removed from grafted Nylon while it was difficult to be removed from ungrafted Nylon. The detergency of hemoglobin for grafted Nylon decreased when the graft ratio exceeded 15% The removal of hemoglobin increased markedly with increasing hemoglobin content and revolution speed. Therefore the removal of hemoglobin was improved due to graft and alkaline treatment.

Nylon/아라미드 원사특성이 방호의류용 에어텍스쳐사의 물성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Nylon/Aramid Filaments Characteristics on the Physical Property of Air Textured Yarns for Protective Garment)

  • 본 연구는 에어제트텍스쳐링 장치에서 공급되는 코어사와 이펙트사인 아라미드와 나일론의 구성이 방호의류용 아라미드/나일론 ATY와 아라미드 ATY의 물성변화에 대한 연구이다. 아라미드 필라멘트 표면의 매끄러움 때문에 아라미드 ATY의 강도 저하는 나일론 ATY에 비해 훨씬 높았다. 아라미드/나일론 ATY 강도는 ATY의 이펙트사인 나일론의 강도에 가장 영향을 많이 받았다. 나일론 ATY의 절단신도는 에어제트텍스쳐링 이전의 나일론에 비해 두 배정도 높은 값을 나타내었으며, 아라미드 ATY와 아라미드/나일론 ATY는 에어제트텍스쳐링 이전에 비해 5.9~6.7배 정도로 높았다. 아라미드 ATY의 초기탄성률은 아라미드의 에어제트텍스쳐링 이전에 비해 86.5%정도 감소하였으며, 아라미드/나일론 ATY의 초기탄성률은 아라미드 ATY와 나일론 ATY 초기탄성률의 산술평균치를 나타내었다. 아라미드/나일론 하이브리드 ATY의 습 건열 수축률은 나일론의 영향을 받음을 알 수 있었다.

  • The purpose of this study was to review the influence of nylon to Korean clothing and tex-tile industries from 1945 to 1970. To achieve this purpose newspapers magazines adverti-sements and industrial statistics were surve-yed and reviewed. The result showed that nylon products were presented at first by US army in 1945 and diversed through Korean War, The influence of nylon to clothing life were increased by the point of import of nylon in 1954. After the im-port of nylon filaments in the period 1957-1963 the need of consumers lead the mass products of nylon from 1963.

  • The removal of hemoglobin from acrylic acid grafted Nylon fabrics has been investigated. In order to change detergency of Nylon 6 fabric, acrylic acid(AA) were graft copolymerized on Nylon fabric using ammonium persulfate(APS) as a initiator, and then acrylic acid grafted Nylon was treated with NaOH solution. The graft ratio increased linearly with increasing acrylic acid concentration. The graft ratio was the highest when the concentration of APS was 0.05%, and it decreased as the concentration of APS increased. The surface of Nylon fabric became rough due to graft. Moisture regain was increased by graft and alkaline treatment, contact angle was also improved compared with the ungrafted. The hemoglobin was easily solubilized and removed from grafted Nylon fabric, while it was difficult to remove hemoglobin from ungrafted Nylon fabric. The effects of graft on removal of hemoglobin was related with increase of moisture regain and transformation of COOH to COONa by alkaline treatment.
