다구역 재배용 양액 자동 조제.공급 시스템 개발 (Development of an Automatic Nutrient-Solution Mixing and Supplying System)

  • 본 연구는 다구역 양액재배에 적용할 수 있는 연속식 양액 자동조제공급 시스템 개발을 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 기존의 정량펌프에 비해 정밀성 및 반복 구동회수에 대한 내구성이 우수하고 구동시간에 따라 토출량을 정밀 제어할 수 있는 원소별 농후액 공급조절장치를 개발하였으며, 개발된 원소별 농후액 공급조절장치의 시간당 토출량 실험 결과 결정계수는$R^2$=0.9999이었고 3초~5초 구동시간동안의 회귀식에 의한 토출량과 실제 토출량 편차를 비교한 결과 최대 -1.23%로 나타나 회귀식에 의한 구동시간에 따른 토출량 제어가 가능함이 확인 되었다. 원소별 농후액 공급조절장치의 원소별 토출량 증감을 통하여 조성이 다른 양액을 조제할 수 있었으며, 생육단계에 따른 원소별 농도의 증감 조절에 사용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 원수유입량 편차 실험 결과 목표 원수유입량과 실제 원수유입량간의 편차는 2.73% 이내로 나타났다. 세척 과정을 통해 EC가 1.4~l.6mS/cm인 경우에는 0.5~0.6mS/cm, 2.4~2.5mS/cm인 경우에는 0.9~l.0mS/cm 정도로 낮추어 급액 후 잔류 양액의 영향을 줄일 수 있었다. 개발된 다구역 재배용 양액 자동조제공급 시스템의 성능을 평가하기 위하여 오이용 야마자키액 조성의 배양액 180$\ell$를 조제, 공급하였을 때 양액에 포함된 N $O_3$$^{-}$, 와 P $O_4$$^{3-}$ 이온에 대하여 실험실에서 조제한 양액의 이온 농포와의 비교 실험을 3회에 걸쳐 실시한 결과, 개발된 시스템으로 조제한 양액중에 포함된 N $O_3$$^{-}$ 이온과 P $O_4$$^{3-}$ 이온은 실험실에서 조제된 양액에 비하여 각각 2.36%, 5.15% 낮게 나타났다.

Nutrient regime, N:P ratios and suspended solids as key factors influencing fish tolerance, trophic compositions, and stream ecosystem health

  • The objectives of this study were to determine the effects of stream nutrient regime, N:P ratios and suspended solids on fish tolerance/trophic compositions and stream ecosystem health, based on multi-metric model, during 2008-2013. Also, stream ecosystem health was evaluated in relation to chlorophyll-a (CHL) as a measure of algal productivity or indicators of trophic state to water chemical parameters. Total number of sampled fish species were 50 and showed a decreasing trend from 2008 to 2013. The minnow of Zacco platypus, based on the catch per unit effort (CPUE), was the most dominant species (25.9%) among the all species. Spatial heterogeneity was evident in the fish tolerance guilds that showed the dominance of sensitive species (89%) in the headwaters (S1) and the dominance of tolerant species (57%) in the urban. These conditions were directly influenced by concentrations of nutrients and organic matter (COD). The N:P ratios, as a barometer of water pollution, had a negative linear function (R2 = 0.40, P < 0.01) with CHL, and the ratios had an important role in changes of COD concentration (R2 = 0.40, P < 0.01). Under the circumstances, the N:P ratio directly influenced the relative proportions of fish trophic/tolerance compositions. According to the regression analysis of omnivore (Om) and insectivore sp. (In) on total nitrogen and total phosphorus, nitrogen had no significant influences (P > 0.05) to the two compositions, but phosphorus influenced directly the two guilds [slope (a) = -32.3, R2 = 0.25, P < 0.01 in the In; a = 40.7, R2 = 0.19, P < 0.01 in the Om]. Such water chemistry and fish trophic guilds determined the stream ecosystem health, based on the multi-metric fish model.

Comparison of the chemical compositions and nutritive values of various pumpkin ($Cucurbitaceae$) species and parts

  • Pumpkins have considerable variation in nutrient contents depending on the cultivation environment, species, or part. In this study, the general chemical compositions and some bioactive components, such as tocopherols, carotenoids, and ${\beta}$-sitosterol, were analyzed in three major species of pumpkin ($Cucurbitaceae$ $pepo$, $C.$ $moschata$, and $C.$ $maxima$) grown in Korea and also in three parts (peel, flesh, and seed) of each pumpkin species. $C.$ $maxima$ had significantly more carbohydrate, protein, fat, and fiber than $C.$ pepo or $C.$ $moschata$ (P<0.05). The moisture content as well as the amino acid and arginine contents in all parts of the pumpkin was highest in $C.$ $pepo$. The major fatty acids in the seeds were palmitic, stearic, oleic, and linoleic acids. $C.$ $pepo$ and $C.$ $moschata$ seeds had significantly more ${\gamma}$-tocopherol than $C.$ $maxima$, whose seeds had the highest ${\beta}$-carotene content. $C.$ $pepo$ seeds had significantly more ${\beta}$-sitosterol than the others. Nutrient compositions differed considerably among the pumpkin species and parts. These results will be useful in updating the nutrient compositions of pumpkin in the Korean food composition database. Additional analyses of various pumpkins grown in different years and in different areas of Korea are needed.

Nutrient compositions of Korean mulberry fruits (Morus sp.) dried with low temperature vacuum dryer using microwave

  • Mulberry was dried with low temperature vacuum dryer using microwave. The nutritional compositions of microwave-dried mulberry including proximate composition, sugar content, mineral content, total phenolic, flavonoids, and anthocyanin, beta-carotene, vitamin C, and amino acid composition were measured. Sugar contents of mulberry were 42.6 mg/100g (Cheongilppong) and 43.27 mg/100g dw (Gwasang No. 2). The main components of mulberry sugars were fructose and glucose. Mineral analysis showed that K, P, Ca, and Mg were abundant regardless of mulberry cultivars.

  • 본 실험은 엔디브 양액재배에 적합한 배양액을 조성하고. 새로 조성한 배양액(SCUE)의 효과를 검토하고자 수행하였다. 엔디브 재배에 적합한 배양액을 양수분 흡수율에 의해 조성한 결과 NO$_3$-N 15.0, NH$_4$-N 1.0 PO$_4$-P 3.0. K 10.0, Ca 5.0, Mg 3.5 me.$\ell$$^{-1}$가 적당하였다. 새로 조성한 서울시립대 엔디브액 (SCUE)과 유럽의 엔디브액간의 재배실험 결과, 배양액간의 생육 및 수량은 차이가 없었지만, pH와 EC의 변화폭은 새로 조성한 양액에서 적었다.

한국인 다빈도 섭취 과일의 영양관련 지수 분석 (Analysis of Nutritional Index of Frequently Consumed Fruits in South Korea)

  • Fruits are good sources of vitamins, minerals, fiber, and phytochemicals, which are known to reduce serum lipids, oxidative damage, and blood pressure as well as improve blood glucose control. The purpose of this study was to estimate nutrient quality indices of fruits by carrying out a critical analysis of pre-existing methods according to their nutritional compositions. Four methods were used to assess the nutrient indices of 26 fruits, which are frequently consumed by Koreans based on the fourth Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (2009). Naturally nutrient rich score (NNR), nutrient rich food (NRF), nutrient adequacy score (NAS), and nutrient density score (NDS) were used to calculate nutrient quality indices. The Korean Nutrition Society Food Composition database of fruits based on 100 g edible portions was used. The algorithm of each method included the mean percentage of daily values (Dietary Reference Intakes for Koreans, 2010) for particular nutrients based on consumption of 1,900 kcal/day. The relative score indicated that strawberries, kumquat, and lemon had high nutrient quality indices. In addition, mango, lemon, persimmon, strawberry, apricot, and tangerine fruits are rich in antioxidant nutrients such as ${\beta}$-carotene, vitamin C, vitamin E, and selenium. However, scores of nutrient quality indices did not imply that higher scores of particular fruits are superior. We suggest moderate seasonable consumption a variety of fruits. Our results can be used as a reference for consumers when they choose fruits.

국내 이용 주요 조사료원의 영양소 함량 및 반추위 In situ 소실율 평가 (Evaluations of Nutrient Compositions and In Situ Ruminal Disappearance Rates of Roughage Sources Commonly Used in Korea)

  • 본 연구에서는 국내에서 반추가축에게 주로 이용되는 조사료원들의 영양소 함량 및 반추위 in situ 소실율을 평가하기 위해서 수행하였다. 착유우 30두 이상의 50여개 농가를 대상으로 조사한 결과를 토대로 선정한 12종류의 조사료를 다양한 수입원을 고려하여 확보한 다음, 주요 영양소 성분과 미네랄을 분석하였다. 또한 그 중 5개의 조사료원(티모시, 알팔파펠렛, 볏짚, 클라인글라스 및 톨페스큐)을 선정하여 반추위 cannula가 장착된 거세 한우 2두(평균체중 $526{\pm}14$ kg)를 이용하여 반추위 in-situ 소실율을 평가하였다. 조사한 조사료원들의 영양소 함량은 한국표준사료성분분석표에 비하여 전반적으로 낮은 함량을 나타내었다. 최종 반추위 in-situ 건물 소실율은 클라인글라스가 가장 높게 나타났으며 티모시, 알팔파 펠렛, 톨 페스큐, 볏짚 순으로 낮아졌다. 최종 조단백질 소실율은 알팔파 펠렛이 가장 높았으며 클라인 글라스, 티모시, 톨페스큐, 볏짚 순으로 높게 나타났다.

  • Near future dynamics of water qualities (nutrient concentration) of the Han River was predicted, based on a mathematical model representing the relationship between the nutrient concentration in th river wagter and environmental factors (population density, land-use types, rock compositions and nutrient accumulation) in the basin. The population density and land-use types were forecasted to change distinctly in the downstream area, especially in Seoul City area in 1985~1990 whereas any environmental factor was not expected to change its level significantly in both upstream and middle reaches areas. It was indicated by the model that the nutrients concentration in the up- and mid-streams would keep its level in future as it was, but it would increase drastially in the downstream area. For the preservation of the water qualities in the downstream at least to keep its level as it was in 1980, practical countermeasures were proposed, based on the assessment of the contribution of each environmental factor to the water qualities.

수입 박류사료내 에너지 및 영양소 함량의 변이 (Variation in Energy and Nutrient Composition of Oilseed Meals from Different Countries)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the variation in nutrient composition of oilseed meals and to develop prediction equations for amino acid concentrations. Energy and nutrient contents were determined in a total of 1,380 feed ingredient samples including copra byproducts, corn distillers, dried grains with solubles, palm kernel byproducts, and soybean meal. The ingredient samples were imported to the Republic of Korea between 2006 and 2015. Data were analyzed using the MIXED procedure of SAS. The regression procedure of SAS was used to generate the prediction equation for the lysine concentration using the crude protein (CP) concentration as an independent variable. The concentrations of moisture, gross energy, CP, ether extract, crude fiber, ash, calcium, phosphorus, lysine, methionine, cysteine, and threonine in tested oilseed meals differed (P<0.05) depending on producing countries. The prediction equations for amino acid concentrations (% as-is basis) in the oilseed meals are: lysine = -1.08 + 0.080 × CP (root mean square error = 0.244, R2 = 0.924, and P<0.001); threonine = -0.297 + 0.044 × CP (root mean square error = 0.099, R2 = 0.958, and P<0.001). In conclusion, energy and nutrient compositions vary in the oilseed meals depending on the producing countries. Moreover, the crude protein concentration can be used as a suitable independent variable for estimating lysine and threonine concentrations in the oilseed meals.
