In this paper, we study the existence of ground state solutions for a class of non-resonant cooperative elliptic systems by a variant weak linking theorem. Here the classical Ambrosetti-Rabinowitz superquadratic condition is replaced by a general super quadratic condition.
Non-contacting, laser-based resonant ultrasound spectroscopy (L-RUS) was applied to characterize the microstructure of a material. L-RUS is widely used by virtue of its many features. Firstly, L-RUS can be used to measure mechanical damping which related to the microstructural variations (grain boundary, grain size, precipitation, defects, dislocations etc). Secondly, L-RUS technology can be applied to various areas, such as the noncontact and nondestructive quality test for precision components as well as noncontact and nondestructive materials characterization. In addition, L-RUS technology can measure the whole field resonant frequency at once. In this paper, we evaluated material characteristics such as resonant frequency, nonlinear propagation characteristic through the development of Laser-Based Resonant Ultrasound spectroscopy (Laser-RUS) System for the detection of Micro Crack in Materials.
We described a method resonant mode identification in dielectric-rod loaded cylindrical cavity resonators. Resonant frequency of dielectric loaded cavity is calculated by analyzing the characteristic equation. The characteristic equation is solved by using the ContourPlot graph of Mathematica. As the result of comparing calculation value and experimental value of resonant frequencies, we know that the field representation of non-decaying mode is exact. The contour graph method is not a method using approximated representation of electromagnetic field variation at the outer area of dielectric in the resonators but a method using exact representation.
Ultrasonic Vibrator is designed to achieve the maximum vibration amplitude at 30 kHz by in-cluding a horn (diameter, 40 mm), mechanical vibration amplifier at the top of the ultrasonic vibrator in the system and making the complete system resonate. In addition, it is experimentally visualized by particle imaging velocimetry (PIV) that the acoustic streaming velocity in the gap is at maximum when the gap between the ultrasonic vibrator and stationary plate agrees with the multiples of half-wavelength of the ultrasonic wave. This fact results from the resonance of the sound wave and the theoretical analysis of that is also accomplished and verified by experiment. It is observed that the magnitude of the acoustic streaming dependent upon the gap between the ultrasonic vibrator and stationary plate possibly changes due to the measurement of the average velocity fields of the acoustic streaming induced by the ultrasonic vibration at resonance and non-resonance. There exists extremely small average velocity at non-resonant gaps while the relatively large average velocity exists at resonant gaps compared with non-resonant gaps. It also reveals that there should be larger axial turbulent intensity at the hub region of the vibrator and at the edge of it in the resonant gap where the air streaming velocity is maximized and the flow phenomena is conspicuous than that at the other region. Because the variation of the acoustic streaming velocity at resonant gap is more distinctive than that at non-resonant gap, shear stress increases more in the resonant gap and is also maximized at the center region of the vibrator except the local position of center (r〓0). At the non-resonant gap there should be low values of vorticity distribution, but in contrast to the non-resonant gap, high and negative values of it exist at the center region of the vibrator with respect to the radial direction and in the vicinity of the middle region with respect to the axial direction. Acoustic streaming is noise-free due to the ultrasonic vibration and maintenance-free because of the absence of moving parts. Moreover, the proposed method by acoustic streaming can be utilized to the nano and micro-electro mechanical systems as a driving mechanism in addition to the augmentation of the streaming velocity.
This paper presents a resonant non-inverting buck-boost converter in which all switches operate under ZCS conditions. In a symmetric configuration, a CLL resonant tank along with an inverter arm and a rectifying diode are employed. The diode is turned off at ZCS and hence the problem of its reverse recovery is obviated also. As a result switching losses and EMI are reduced and switching frequency can be increased. The converter can work at DCM and CCM depend on the switching frequency and the load-current. Experimental results from a 200W/200KHz laboratory prototype verify operation of the proposed converter and the presented theoretical analysis.
A non-contact battery charger for cellular phone is designed using half-bridge series resonant converter. This converter utilizes series resonance to reduce the undesirable effect of large leakage inductance of the detachable transformer and ZVS operation can reduce switching loss and switching noise. In this paper, analysis and design procedure of half-bridge series resonant converter with detachable transformer is presented. The input voltage is 85VAC∼270VAC, and the output voltage and current is 4.1V and 800mA, respectively. Furthermore, a method of calculating the secondary current of the transformer to control the battery charging current in the constant current charging mode is proposed. The performance of the charger is verified through experiments.

In this study, we investigate terahertz (THz) generation by a photoconductive antenna with electrodes in the shape of split-ring resonators. According to our theoretical investigation based on a lumped-circuit model, the inductance of this electrode structure leads to resonant behavior of the photo-induced current. Hence, near the resonance frequency the spectral components generated by a resonant photoconductive antenna can be greater than those produced by a non-resonant one. For experimental verification, a resonant photoconductive antenna, which possesses a resonance mode at 0.6 THz, and a non-resonant photoconductive antenna with stripe-shaped electrodes were fabricated on a semi-insulating GaAs substrate. The THz generation by both of the photoconductive antennas demonstrated a good agreement with the theoretically expected results. The observed relationship between the resonant electrodes of the photoconductive antenna and the generated THz spectrum can be further employed to design a narrow-band THz source with an on-demand frequency.
A non-contact battery charger which transfers energy using magnetic field without any electrical contacts is designed using half-bridge series resonant converter. This converter utilizes series resonance to reduce the undesirable effect of large leakage inductance of the non-contact transformer and ZVS operation can reduce switching losses. In this paper. analysis and design procedure of half-bridge series resonant converter with non-contact transformer is presented. Input voltage is 85VAC ${\sim}$ 270VAC, output voltage and current is 4.1V and 800mA, respectively. Furthermore, a method for calculating the secondary current of the transformer to control battery charging current in constant current charging mode which is required for litium-ion battery is proposed and the performance is verified from experiments.
The high frequency series resonant converter has been widely used for the non-contact power supply system with the large air gap and the increased leakage inductance of the non-contact transformer. However. the high frequency series resonant converter has the disadvantages of high voltage gain characteristics in the overall load range due to the large air gap and the circulating magnetizing current. In this paper, unit voltage gain is revealed in the proposed three-level series-parallel resonant converter. The results are verified on the simulation results and the 5kW experimental prototype.
