The issue of environmental crisis encourages companies to develop strategies and programs which incorporate social and environmental considerations into their processes. The objectives of this study are to identify the strategies used in implementing corporate social and environmental reporting (CSER) and to investigate the impact of these strategies on organization performance. This study uses as its sample companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) and engaged in environmentally sensitive business activities and applies content analysis to their annual reports. The data used in the study is secondary data in the form of annual and sustainability reports of companies, and primary data in the form of interviews. The results show that companies use both reactive and proactive strategies in reporting their social and environmental activities. The study also identifies the impacts of such reporting on both the financial and non-financial performances of the investigated companies. The study contributes to the social and environmental accounting literature by exploring the motivations and strategies of companies in their CSER. The empirical results will provide important insights into the influence of the strategies employed by companies in their corporate social and environmental reporting and the impacts of such strategies on organizational performance.

The objective of this study is to analyze the impact of conservative financial reporting on investment during uncertainty. It was assumed that during uncertainty conservative financial reporting can play an important role to improve investment decision-making. For our analysis, data sets from 2005-2020 of nonfinancial companies are used. To measure the impact of conservative financial reporting in the non-financial sector of Pakistan, Khan and Watts' (2009) model is applied. "Prospector" and "Defender" Business strategy is applied for measuring firm-level uncertainty. Investment is measured by adding the change in fixed assets (property, plant, and equipment). To check the robustness of conservative financial reporting, Givoly and Hayn's (2000) Negative Accruals measure is applied. To measure the robustness of uncertainty, environmental scanning and alertness technique is applied. According to environmental scanning and alertness technique, companies are divided into two groups named 'inert' and 'alert'. 'Inert' are those firms that are not scanning their environment, and 'alert' are those firms who continuously analyze their environment. The empirical estimations support our hypothesis. The empirical findings provide the proof that in the wake of uncertainty conservative financial reporting may facilitate to take optimal investment decisions in the developing economy of Pakistan. Our results provide critical and practical implications for investors, researchers, and standard setters.

Purpose. The purpose of this study was to develop and evaluate an error reporting promoting program(ERPP) to systematically reduce the incidence rate of nursing errors in operating room. Methods. A non-equivalent control group non-synchronized design was used. Twenty-six operating room nurses who were in one university hospital in Busan participated in this study. They were stratified into four groups according to their operating room experience and were allocated to the experimental and control groups using a matching method. Mann-Whitney U Test was used to analyze the differences pre and post incidence rates of nursing errors between the two groups. Results. The incidence rate of nursing errors decreased significantly in the experimental group compared to the pre-test score from 28.4% to 15.7%. The incidence rate by domains, it decreased significantly in the 3 domains-"compliance of aseptic technique", "management of document", "environmental management" in the experimental group while it decreased in the control group which was applied ordinary error-reporting method. Conclusion. Error-reporting system can make possible to hold the errors in common and to learn from them. ERPP was effective to reduce the errors of recognition-related nursing activities. For the wake of more effective error-prevention, we will be better to apply effort of risk management along the whole health care system with this program.

Purpose: This study was done to evaluate quality of reports of non-randomized controlled quasi-experimental study articles published in the Korean Journal of Women Health Nursing (KJWHN). Methods: A search was done for experimental studies assessing intervention effects among all articles published in the KJWHN from 2008 to 2013. Original articles were reviewed and analyzed according to the 22 checklist items of the guidelines for Transparent Reporting for Evaluations with Non-randomized Designs (TREND). Results: Thirty-five articles on experimental studies were identified. The evaluation of the quality of reporting in these experimental studies found that there was a wide variety in the level of satisfying the TREND checklist. In particular, according to TREND topics, low levels of reporting quality were found for "title & abstract (only for information on how units were allocated to the intervention)", "outcomes in methods", "assignment in methods", "blinding in methods", "recruitment in results", "baseline data in results", "interpretation in discussion (especially intervention mechanism and success or barriers), "generalizability in discussion". Conclusion: Results indicate that adherence to TREND guidelines varied in experimental studies published in the KJWHN suggesting the recommendation that for higher levels of complete reporting, TREND guidelines be used in reports on experimental studies.
The Purpose of this study is to search for ways to improve the police-related emergency reporting service through the analysis of its actual condition - focusing 112 emergency reporting & 122 emergency reporting. For this purpose, the main data related to police-related emergency reporting required for inspection of the administration conducted by the National Assembly in 2013 is utilized. The actual condition of the police-related emergency reporting service is examined in 3 aspects - the number of reported cases by reporting type, the number of police response, and the average arrival time. The principal analysis results of the actual condition revealed that 112 emergency reporting is increasing and 122 emergency reporting oscillates between increases and decreases in the total number of reported cases, the number of non-emergency reporting is increasing in both 112 and 122 reported cases, the number of prank call is high in 122 reported cases, the rate of other agency transmit($122{\rightarrow}112$) is higher than 12% in 122 reported cases, and the number of police response and the average arrival time are decreasing in 112 reported cases. To improve the police-related emergency reporting, based on the above actual condition, the followings are required: to operate dualistic police-related response; to publicize a police-related reporting service; to take stern measures against false report; to make continuous improvement of the police-related emergency reporting system.
The purpose of this study is to provide an efficient internal control system formation incentives for company and to confirm empirically usefulness of the internal accounting control system for financial institutions by analyzing whether the internal control vulnerabilities of companies related significantly to the classification and assessment of soundness of financial institutions. Empirical analysis covered KOSPI, KOSDAQ listed companies and unlisted companies with more than 100 billion won of assets which have trading performance with "K" financial institution from 2008 until 2013. Whereas non-internal control vulnerability reporting companies by the internal control of financial reporting received average credit rating of BBB on average, reporting companies received CCC rating. And statistically significantly, non-reporting companies are classified as "normal" and reporting companies are classified as "precautionary loan" when it comes to asset quality classification rating. Therefore, reported information of internal control vulnerability reduced the credibility of the financial data, which causes low credit ratings for companies and suggests financial institutions save additional allowance for asset insolvency prevention and require high interest rates. It is a major contribution of this study that vulnerability reporting of internal control in accordance with the internal control of financial reporting can be used as information significant for the evaluation of financial institutions on corporate soundness.

This study examines whether oil and gas companies comply with the requirements of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) 6 on Exploration and Evaluation (E&E) of Mineral Resources. For this purpose, a comprehensive checklist divided into eight different parameters was prepared by including every requirement of IFRS 6. While building on the previous studies, the annual reports of the top five Indian and top five Global companies engaged in this business have been investigated in detail against the checklist using content analysis as the research method. Results show that a majority of the companies (both Indian as well as global companies) have not been complying with the requirements of IFRS 6. In five out of eight parameters the companies have not complied with even half of the requirements. The overall compliance ratio is as low as 41.54 percent and 43.68 percent for Indian and Global companies respectively. While analyzing the non-compliance, it has been observed that despite having distinct accounting standards, different kinds of companies are reporting differently. Thus, it is not in line or consistent with the goal of IFRS i.e., to establish a universal language for the companies to prepare the accounting statements. The research findings identify the exact area of non-compliance while citing the relevant paragraph number of IFRS 6.
The Coronary Artery Calcium Data and Reporting System (CAC-DRS) is a standardized reporting method for calcium scoring on computed tomography. CAC-DRS is applied on a per-patient basis and represents the total calcium score with the number of vessels involved. There are 4 risk categories ranging from CAC-DRS 0 to CAC-DRS 3. CAC-DRS also provides risk prediction and treatment recommendations for each category. The main strengths of CAC-DRS include a detailed and meaningful representation of CAC, improved communication between physicians, risk stratification, appropriate treatment recommendations, and uniform data collection, which provides a framework for education and research. The major limitations of CAC-DRS include a few missing components, an overly simple visual approach without any standard reference, and treatment recommendations lacking a basis in clinical trials. This consistent yet straightforward method has the potential to systemize CAC scoring in both gated and non-gated scans.
Purpose - This paper compares current requirements for depreciation accounting from the Financial Accounting Standards Board in America for equity securities and all debt securities with determinable fair value, and disclosure requirements related to the fair value of securities below registered cost with the requirements of the international Financial Reporting Standards Board and accounting standards committee. Research design, data, and methodology - Mini-review statements are examined relating to depreciation of investments in America and the Financial Accounting Standards depreciation of investments in Iran that meet the requirements of international reporting standards and the Iranian Accounting Standards Committee. Results - Accounting rules for depreciation of investments in securities requires a good deal of judgment. In particular, devaluation decisions during the recession and market crisis were controversial, although even with no clear guidelines on devaluation, sometimes such decisions were simple. Conclusions -Companies can choose from formal policies applied uniformly and documentations of interest to provide a summary of the principles and conclusions obtained through disclosure, enabling market participants to assess the entity's conclusions reasonably, thereby easing investor and market worries.

In this paper, we have studied the impact of adopting XBRL (eXtensible Business Reporting Language) on information asymmetry in capital markets with the additional research on the usefulness of XBRL data how to improve the quality of accounting information. From the Kosdaq XBRL service, the samples are selected including 38 adopted companies and the 30 non-adopted companies for the paired analysis. The daily stock return volatility (VOLA) as independent variable and other several controlling variables have been added for the regression analysis to measure the impact on information asymmetry in capital markets. he analytical result indicated that the asymmetry hypotheses that XBRL data will give a significant impact on the capital market and will reduce the volatility, which are expected in the hypotheses. This is the first analytical research on the capital market and its impacts to the capital market from adopting XBRL based accounting information. Additionally, the analysis showed the impacts on the reporting cycle of accounting information and its usefulness of accounting data itself.
