  • This research is to apply the adaptive control of neuron networks for the real-time attitude control of Multi-articulated robot. Multi-articulated robot is expressed with a complicated mathematical model on account of the mechanic, electric non-linearity which each articulation of mechanism has, and includes an unstable factor in time of attitude control. If such a complex expression is included in control operation, it leads to the disadvantage that operation time is lengthened. Thus, if the rapid change of the load or the disturbance is given, it is difficult to fulfill the control of desired performance. In this research we used the response property curve of the robot instead of the activation function of neural network algorithms, so the adaptive control system of neural networks constructed without the information of modeling can perform a real-time control. The proposed adaptive control algorithm generated control signs corresponding to the non-linearity of Multi-articulated robot, which could generate desired motion in real time.

Empirical Initial Scantling Equations on Optimal Structural Design of Submarine Pressure Hull

  • The submarine is an underwater weapon system which covertly attacks the enemy. Pressure hull of a submarine is a main system which has to have a capacity which can improve the survivability (e.g., protection of crews) from the high pressure and air pollution by a leakage of water, a fire caused by outside shock, explosion, and/or operational errors. In addition, pressure hull should keep the functional performance under the harsh environment. In this study, optimal design of submarine pressure hull is dealt with 7 case studies done by analytic method and then each result's adequacy is verified by numerical method such as Finite Element Analysis (FEA). For the structural analysis by FEM, material non-linearity and geometric non-linearity are considered. After FEA, the results by analytic method and numerical method are compared. Weight optimized pressure hull initial scantling methods are suggested such as a ratio with shell thickness, flange width, web height and/or relations with radius, yield strength and design pressure (DP). The suggested initial scantling formulae can reduce the pressure hull weight from 6% and 19%.

드로우비드 형상에 따른 박판 성형공정에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (The Effect of the Drawbead Shape on the Sheet Metal Forming Process)

  • In the sheet metal forming process, the drawbead is used to control the flow of material during the forming process. The drawbead provides proper restraining force to the material and prevents defe cts such as wrinkling or breakage. For these reasons, many studies for designing the effective drawbead have been conducted. In this paper, the effect of the drawbead shape will be introduced. For the analysis, the numerical method called the static-explicit finite element method was used. The finite element analysis code for this method has been developed and applied to the drawbead process problems. In result, convergence problem and computation time due to large non-linearity in the existing numerical analysis methods were no longer a critical problem. Futhermore, this approach could treat the contact friction problem easily by applying very small time intervals. It is expected that various results from the numerical analysis will give very useful information for the design of tools in sheet metal forming process.

  • This paper describes on the fabrication and characteristics of a ceramic thin-film pressure sensor based on Ta-N strain gauges for harsh environment applications. The Ta-N thin-film strain gauges are sputter deposited onto a micromachined Si diaphragms with buried cavity for overpressure protectors. The proposed device takes advantages of the good mechanical properties of single crystalline Si as diaphragms fabricated by SDB and electrochemical etch-stop technology, and in order to extend the operating temperature range, it incorporates relatively the high resistance, stability and gauge factor of Ta-N thin-films. The fabricated pressure sensor presents a low temperature coefficient of resistance, high sensitivity, low non-linearity and excellent temperature stability. The sensitivity is $1.097{\sim}1.21mV/V{\cdot}kgf/cm^2$ in the temperature range of $25{\sim}200^{\circ}C$ and the maximum non-linearity is 0.43 %FS.

풍력발전용 대형 복합재 회전날개의 구조시험 및 평가에 관한 연구 (Test and evaluation of a large scale composite rotor blade for wind turbine)

  • A structural test of the wind turbine rotor blade must be required to evaluate the uncertainty in design assessment due to use of material, design concepts, production processes and so on, and the possible impact on the structural integrity. In the full-scale static strength test, the measuring parameters are strain, displacements, loads, weight and the center of gravity. There are test equipments, measuring sensors, a test rig and fixtures to obtain measuring parameters. In order to simulate the aerodynamics load, the three-point loading method instead of the one-point loading method is applied. There is slightly some difference between the measured results and the predicted results with the reference fiber volume fraction of 60%. However, the agreement between the measured results and the predicted results with the actual fiber volume fraction of 52.5% is good. Even though a slightly non-linearity from 80% loading to 100% loading, a linear static solution is sufficient for the design purpose as the amount of the non-linearity is relatively small. Comparison between measured and predicted strain results at the maximum thickness positions of the blade profile for 0.236R(5.56m), 0.493R(11.59m) and 0.574R(13.43m), under 20%, 40%, 60%, 80% and 100% loadings for the upper part of the blade. The predicted values are in good agreement with the measured values.

중증뇌졸중환자의 발목재활로봇을 위한 힘센서 설계 (Design of Force Sensors for the Ankle Rehabilitation Robot of Severe Stroke Patients)

  • This paper describes the design and fabrication of a two-axis force/torque sensor and an one-axis force sensor with parallel plate beams(PPSs) for measuring forces and torque in an ankle rehabilitation exercise using by a lower rehabilitation robot. The two-axis force/torque sensor is composed of a Fy force sensor and Tz torque sensor and the force sensor detects x direction force. The two-axis force/torque sensor and one-axis force sensor were designed using by FEM(Finite Element Method), and manufactured using strain-gages. The characteristics experiment of the two-axis force/torque sensor and one-axis force sensor were carried out respectively. As a test results, the interference error of the two-axis force/torque sensor was less than 1.56%, the repeatability error and the non-linearity of the two-axis force/torque sensor were less than 0.03% respectively, and the repeatability error and the non-linearity of the one-axis force sensor were less than 0.03% and 0.02% respectively.

  • 본 연구는 다기능의 광 네트워크에 있어서 256 위상 Opto-ULSI 프로세서를 구현하는 최적위상 디자인을 제안한다. 이미 구성된 8 위상 프로세서에 대한 디자인의 실험 특성을 바탕으로 하여 본 연구에서 액정의 비선형성을 보정하며 최적의 위상을 찾아 대용량의 Opto-ULSI 프로세서를 구현할 수 있다. 이 연구는 최적의 위상 특성을 조사하고 액정의 비선형성 보정방법에 대한 개발을 통해 초기의 8 위상 Opto-ULSI 프로세서 개발을 중심으로 통합된 지능형 포토닉스 시스템 (IIPS)을 위한 광선제어 Opto-ULSI (BS) 프로세서 (OUP) 구현을 목표로 한다.

편마비 다리환자를 위한 보행보조로봇의 발목 2축 힘센서 설계 (Design of Calf Link Force Sensor of Walking Assist Robot of Leg Patients)

  • This paper describes the design and manufacture of a ankle two-axis force sensor of a walking assist robot for hemiplegic leg patient. The walking assist robot for the hemiplegic leg patient can safely control the robot by detecting whether the foot wearing the walking assist robot is in contact with the obstacle or not. To do so, a two-axis force sensor should be attached to the robot's ankle. The sensor is used to measure the force of a patient's ankle lower part. The two-axis force sensor is composed of a Fx force sensor, a Fy force sensor and a pulley, and they detect the x and y direction forces, respectively. The two-axis force sensor was designed using by FEM(Finite Element Method), and manufactured using by strain-gages. The characteristics experiment of the two-axis force sensor was carried out respectively. The test results indicated that the interference error of the two-axis force sensor was less than 1.2%, the repeatability error and the non-linearity of the two-axis force sensor was less than 0.04% respectively. Therefore, the fabricated two-axis force sensor can be used to measure the force of ankle lower part in the walking assist robot.

공심코어를 사용한 교류전류 센서 (AC Current Sensor Using Air Core)

  • 본 연구는 미래의 가정에 설치되 전자식 전력량계의 정밀 전류측정용 센서 개발에 관한 내용이다. 전류센서는 공심코어 원리를 사용하기 때문에 일반 변류기(current transformer)의 자기포화와 비선형 오차의 한계 영향이 적다. 개발된 센서는 저전류 범위에서 선형도의 개선과 함께 공심코어를 사용하므로 제작이 간단한 장점을 가지고 있다. FEM solver 를 사용하여 자기장 해석을 하였으며 실제 측정된 값과 계산에 의한 값을 비교하였다.

H infinity control design for Eight-Rotor MAV attitude system based on identification by interval type II fuzzy neural network

  • In order to overcome the influence of system stability and accuracy caused by uncertainty, estimation errors and external disturbances in Eight-Rotor MAV, L2 gain control method was proposed based on interval type II fuzzy neural network identification here. In this control strategy, interval type II fuzzy neural network is used to estimate the uncertainty and non-linearity factor of the dynamic system, the adaptive variable structure controller is applied to compensate the estimation errors of interval type II fuzzy neural network, and at last, L2 gain control method is employed to suppress the effect produced by external disturbance on system, which is expected to possess robustness for the uncertainty and non-linearity. Finally, the validity of the L2 gain control method based on interval type II fuzzy neural network identifier applied to the Eight-Rotor MAV attitude system has been verified by three prototy experiments.
