The electrooxidation of 8-(3-acetylimino-6-methyl 2,4-dioxopyran)-1-aminonaphthaline (AMDAN) in aqueous and non aqueous media led to the formation of polymeric films, poly (AMDAN). The monomer, undergo anodic oxidation through the formation of a monocation radical irrespective of the nature of the medium. In aqueous medium, the monocation radical undergoes, through its resonance structures, dimerisation involving tail-to-tail, head-to-tail and even head-to-head coupling. The products formed, being more easily oxidisable than the parent substance, undergo further oxidation at the same potential so that the overall oxidation involves a one-step (i.e., a single wave), two-electron process. In non-aqueous medium, the monocation radical does not undergo dimerisation through coupling reactions. Retaining its identity, monomer oxidise in two steps involving one electron in each step. The fact that the cathodic peaks corresponding to these anodic peaks are rarely observed indicates fast consumption of the electrogenerated monocation radicals and dications by follow-up chemical reactions to produce polymeric products (poly AMDAN). The electrochemical behavior of the formed polymer films was investigated in both non aqueous and aqueous media. The films prepared in non aqueous medium were found to be more electroactive than that the films prepared in aqueous medium. This is confirmed with the results in litreature which illustrate that the film prepared in aqueous solution hold water in its structure via hydrogen bonding, which causes decomposition reactions.
The effects of Pluronic F-68, a non-ionic surfactant, on the growth and physical characteristics of Digitalis lanata suspension cultures were investigated in aqueous two-phase systems (ATPSs) composed of $4.5\%$ polyethylene glycol (PEG) 20,000 and $2.8\%$ crude dextran. In the range of 0.1-10.0 g $1^{-1}$, Pluronic F-68 enhanced the maximum cell density in a medium with ATPSs, even though Pluronic F-68 did not affect cell growth in a normal growth medium. In terms of physical properties of ATPSs with cell suspension cultures, 0.2 g $1^{-1}$ of Pluronic F-68 reduced viscosity by up to $40\%$, while 0.1 g $1^{-1}$ of Pluronic F-68 significantly enhanced the oxygen transfer rate. In addition, we successfully performed aqueous two-phase cultivation in a 5-1 stirred tank bioreactor with 0.5 g $1^{-1}$ of Pluronic F-68, and discovered that cell growth in ATPSs was similar to that in normal growth medium.
The alkylation of resorcinol with cyclic allylic alcohol in non-aqueous acid medium gives intermolecular Friedel-Craft compounds. The products are primary alkylation products. The likage always occurs between carbon 3 of cyclic allylic alcohol and the position 2, 4, 5 or 6 of the resorcinol.

This Study was performed to get the suitable oil dispersion agent by assessment of color strength of organic pigment in non-aqueous systems. Organic pigment is used as a color expression material with other body pigments in the make-up products. But occasionally aggregation or agglomeration occurs for the lack of affinity with medium, This function is the cause of disturbing homogeneous dispersion, and then bring about an instability of products. Our study, research of dispersion mechanism between the pigment and oil phase, has been executed to solve this problem, and find a oil dispersion agent having optimum dispersion condition. Generally dispersion is related to between the solid-liquid mutual properties and electrical phenomena associated with solid-liquid interface. This factor is determined to input energy, milling time, optical properties, particle size, rheological properties, etc. Ideal dispersion state is told that coloring primary solid particle is homogeneously dispersed in medium. Good dispersed colorants are strongly and clearly appeared. We are already known that the particle size of organic pigment, chemical properties and viscosity of medium, refractive index. Consequently We determine the affinity of medium and organic pigment by measuring of color strength in the same mechanical condition. UV-VISIBLE RECORDING SPECTRO PHOTOMETER is used for measuring apparatus. We can decided the dispersion level of oil dispersion agent by measuring absorbance of color strength in the visible range that diluted medium for colloid colorant particles.

Mobile bacterial particles can act as carriers and enhance the transport of hydrophobic contaminants in ground water by reducing retardation effects. Because of their colloidal size and favorable surface conditions, bacteria can act as efficient contaminant carriers. When such carriers exist in a porous medium, the system can be thought of as three phases: an aqueous phase, a carrier phase, and a stationary solid matrix phase. Contaminant can be present in either or all of these phases. In this study, a mathematical model based on mass balances is developed to describe the transport and fate of biodegradable contaminant in a porous medium. Bacterial mass transfer mechanism between aqueous and solid matrix phases, and contaminant mass transfer between aqueous and bacterial phases are represented by kinetic models. Governing equations are non-dimensionalized and solved to analyze the bacteria facilitated contaminant transport. The numerical results of the facilitation effect match favorably with experimental data reported in the literature. Results show that the contaminant transport can be described by local equilibrium assumption when Damkohler numbers are larger than 10. Significant sensitivities to model parameters, particularly bacterial growth rate and influent bacterial concentration, were discovered.
In this paper, we describe new approach of ink particle fabrication method for electrophoretic display(EPD) with low voltage and rapid response time. Nano-size ink particles which fabricated using non-aqueous base modified emulsion process and micron-scale particles by non-solvent particle fabrication process are discussed. Finally, specially designed particles and panel structure fabricated considering the interactions between particle/particle, particle/media or particle/electrode dramatically reduce the driving voltages to ${\pm}$ 10V and improve the response time of less than 100msec and white reflectance of 58% for EPD using dielectric fluid as a medium. In case of EPD adapting micron-sized electrophoretic particles and a medium of air, the saturation voltage could be reduced to ${\pm}$ 40V and having white reflectance of 45% without scarification of electrophoretic mobility of the particles.

Atmospheric pressure non-thermal plasma of the needle-typed interaction with aqueous solutions has received increasing attention for their biomedical applications [1]. In this context, surface discharges at bio-solutions were investigated experimentally. We have generated the non-thermal plasma jet bombarding the bio-solution surface by using an Ar gas flow and investigated the emission lines by OES (optical emission spectroscopy) [2]. Moreover, The non-thermal plasma interaction with bio-solutions has received increasing attention for their biomedical applications. So we researched, the OH radical density of various biological solutions in the surface by non-thermal plasma were investigated by Ar gases. The OH radical density of DI water; deionized water, DMEM Dulbecco's modified eagle medium, and PBS; 1x phosphate buffered saline by non-thermal plasma jet. It is noted that the OH radical density of DI water and DMEM are measured to be about $4.33{\times}1016cm-3$ and $2.18{\times}1016cm-3$, respectively, under Ar gas flow 250 sccm (standard cubic centimeter per minute) in this experiment. The OH radical density of buffer solution such as PBS has also been investigated and measured to be value of about $2.18{\times}1016cm-3$ by the ultraviolet optical absorption spectroscopy.
The aim of this study was to develop a stable enteric coated diclofenac sodium (DFS) tablets using Aqua-Polish E without using a subcoat. DFS uncoated tablets were manufactured through the non direct compression process. AquaPolish E white aqueous coating dispersion was used as enteric coating material. This film forming polymer is a mixture of selected polymethacrylic/ethylacrylate copolymers. The stability of the obtained enteric coated tablets was evaluated according to ICH guidelines. No signs of disintegration or cracking was observed when they placed in 0.1N HCl solution (pH1.2), but they were completely disintegrated within 10 minutes when they placed in buffered solution at pH6.8. Dissolution test was also conducted by placing tablets in 0.1 N HCl for 2 hours and then 1 hour in phosphate buffer at pH 6.8. Less than 0.9 % of drug was released in the acidic phase and up to 97% in the basic medium. These findings suggest that aqueous enteric coating with AquaPolish E system is an easy and economical approach for preparing stable DFS enteric coat without the use of a subcoating layer.

A new type electric double layer capacitor (EDLC) was constructed by using carbon nanofibers (CNFs) and DAAQ(1,5-diaminoanthraquinone) electrode. Carbonaceous materials are found in variety forms such as graphite, diamond, carbon fibers etc. While all the carbon nanofibers include impurities such as amorphous carbon, nanoparticles, catalytic metals and incompletely grown carbons. We have eliminated of Ni particles and some carbonaceous particles in nitric acid. Nitric acid treated CNFs could be covered with very thin DAAQ oligomer from the results of CV and TG analyses and SEM images. A crystalline supramolecular oligomer of 1,5-diaminoanthraquinone(DAAQ) was successfully prepared as a thin film by electrochemical oxidation from an acidic non-aqueous medium. DAAQ oligomer film exhibited a specific capacity as 45-50 Ah/kg in 4M $H_2SO_4$. Its electrochemical characteristics were investigated by cyclic voltammetry. And compared with different electrolyte of aqueous type. During ultrasonic irradiation CNFs was to disperse in 0.1M $H_2SO_4$. As a result, CNFs coated by DAAQ composite electrode showed relatively good electrochemical behaviors.
Cefuroxime axetil is a cephalosporin antibiotic having a high activity against a wide spectrum of Grampositive and Gram-negative microorganisms. It is a cephalosporin antibiotic which exist as 2 diastereoisomers: diastereoisomer A and B. It shows polymorphism of three forms: a crystalline form having a melting point of about $180^{\circ}C$, a substantially amorphous form having a high melting point of about $135^{\circ}C$ and a substantially amorphous form having a low melting point of about 70^{\circ}C$. The crystalline form of cefuroxime axetil is slightly soluble in water because diastereoisomer A has lower solubility than B in water. Substantially amorphous form of which there are no difference in solubility between diastereoisomer A and B has better solubility than crystalline form, but it forms a thicker gel than crystalline form upon contact with an aqueous medium. Based on this reason, cefuroxime axetil is not readily absorbable in the gastrointestinal tract, rendering its bioavailability on oral administration very low. The object of this study was to develop an improved non-crystalline cefuroxime axetil composition having a high physicochemical stability and bioavailability. A non-crystalline cefuroxime axetil solid dispersant showing no peak on a Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) scan is prepared by dissolving cefuroxime axetil and a surfactant in an organic solvent; suspending a water-insoluble inorganic carrier in the resulting solution; and spray drying the resulting suspension to remove the organic solvent, said solid dispersant having an enhanced dissolution and stability of cefuroxime axetil and being useful for the preparation of a pharmaceutical composition for oral administration. Tablet was formulated with this cefuroxime axetil solid dispersant, disintegrants and other ingredients. It disintegrated and dissolved easily and dynamically in dissolution medium, so showed a good dissolution profile.
