  • In this paper, the power flow analysis(PFA) method is applied to the prediction of the vibrational energy density and intensity of coupled co-planar plates. To cover the energy transmission and reflection at the joint of the plates, the wave transmission approach is introduced with the assumption that all the incident waves are normal to the joint. By changing the frequency ranges and internal loss factors, we have obtained the PFA results, and compared them with the analytical exact solutions.

  • This Paper presents a general algorithm for the parameter estimation of an antoregressive moving average process observed in additive white noise. The algorithm is based on the Gauss-Newton recursive prediction error method. For the parameter estimation, the output measurement is modelled as an innovation process using the spectral factorization, so that noise free RPE ARMA estimation can be used. Using apriori known properties leads to algorithm with smaller computation and better accuracy be the parsimony principle. Computer simulation examples show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

  • Transmission loss of KHST passenger vehicle was calculated using measured acoustic data: In order to verify the transmission loss results for KHST case, similar experiment was carried out in laboratory condition, which result was compared those by geometric acoustic method. The computational results shows good agreement with the transmission loss magnitude from experiments. This paper also mentions items to obtain more accurate transmission loss values, i. e. how to assure reverberant field condition, the selection of source speaker' location.

  • In this paper, Power Flow Analysis (PFA) method has been applied to the prediction of vibration energy density and intensity of coupled shell structures in the medium-to-high frequency ranges. To consider the wave transformation at joint between shell elements, power transmission and reflection coefficients are investigated for various joint angles, and here Donnell-Mushtari thin shell theory has been used. • This study aims to suggest a method to provide a real-time noise map based on cloud using Amazon AWS. Acquiring environmental noise information, an Android app was developed to collect data on noise level, location, and measurement time of campus in Inha Technical College as a study area. Noise measurement information is transmitted to the AWS Cloud and managed, and the noise information collected through Amazon Quick Site is displayed in charts and maps. Finally, a web-based noise contour map and the results mapped to buildings were visualized with a Google map for users to search for the current environmental noise distribution. The real-time noise map presented as a result of this study is expected to be helpful for noise status and reduction policies.

  • Recently, the method of the apartment building design is changing from wall type to moment structure. Because of this reason, dry wall systems are used plentifully. This study examines the sound insulation performance of the light weight concrete panel using bottom ash. There is the difference of airborne sound isolation between laboratory and field test. For the purpose of searching deviation, we use the prediction tool(Insul 6.0). First, we calculated the prediction data and measured the sound isolation in the wall at the lab. Then, we measured it in the field and compared them. At the base of these datum, we measured the difference.

  • This paper proposes a framework to predict the mechanical fault of hot rolling mill system (HRMS). The optimum process of HRMS is usually identified by the rotating velocity of working roll. Therefore, observing the velocity of working roll is relevant to early know the HRMS condition. In this paper, we propose the framework which consists of two methods namely spectrum matrix which related to case-based fast Fourier transform(FFT) analysis, and three dimensional condition monitoring based on novel visualization. Validation of the proposed method has been conducted using vibration data acquired from HRMS by accelerometer sensors. The acquired data was also tested by developed software referred as hot rolling mill facility analysis module. The result is plausible and promising, and the developed software will be enhanced to be capable in prediction of remaining useful life of HRMS.

  • In recent years, several studies of the practical application of active sound and vibration control have been developed to plate to plate response with various boundary conditions. This study considers vibration and sound radiation for the clamped rectangular plate. The radiation of a sound from rectangular plate can be calculated that the velocity of a vibrating plate is analyzed. The vibration formulation is based on a variation method for the vibration of the plate, and assumes no damping, no fluid loading of the structure. And the plate is exited by harmonic point force. The radiation of sound from plate is analyzed in the far field, and is calculated from the Rayleigh integral. The prediction results of vibration and sound level have proved with FEM or BEM.

  • In this paper, statistical approach to prediction of A-weighted noise level in ship cabins. based on multiple linear regression analysis, is conducted. The best regression formula is composed of seven parameters of the deadweight, the type of ship, the location of engines and cabins, the type of deckhouse and the propeller skew angle. Verification work was carried out with other 210 cabins' data in 6 ships. As a result, the formula ensures the accuracy of 3 dB(A) in 77 % of cases.
