Optimization of 4WD Driveline for Improvement of Body Vibration in Driving Condition (4WD 차량의 주행 차체진동 개선을 위한 Driveline 최적화)

  • Generally the noise and vibration characteristics of 4WD vehicle is closely related to the characteristics of driveline such as bending mode, torsional mode, unbalance and nonuniformity of propeller shaft. In this paper the 4WD vehicle which has body vibration problem in high speed driving condition was tested. The sources of the body vibration and its transfer path are investigated by experimental approach. According to the experimental assessment, the body vibration is caused by the nonuniformity of joint of propeller shaft. And this paper presents a kinematic model of a vehicle driveline for the optimization of a driveline characteristics. Finally the optimized result of the drive line has been verified through the experiment.

Analysis on the RFI Noise Path of Electrical Railway System in the Frequency Range of 9 kHz to 150 kHz (전기철도 시스템의 9~150 kHz 대역에서의 RFI 노이즈 전달 경로 분석)

  • The interaction of magnetic field in the frequency range of 9~150 kHz radiating from a railway system with wireless systems has been the cause of radio frequency interference. In this paper, the equivalent circuit model of the RFI noise is proposed through source and transfer path analysis, and it is confirmed that the switching noise of several kHz that occurs a vehicle traction drive system and a substation is radiated by forming the loop circuit with a feeder line by a rolling stock. And the validity of the proposed equivalent circuit model is verified by analyzing the effects of RC banks installed in the real railway between Guri and Guksu stations, the RFI noise can be effectively mitigated by loading suitable capacitance between rail and feeding line.

  • In this paper, the capacity criteria have been proposed in order to select a cooperative relay node in WSNs, under the environment where direct path has a poor link gain. This process may ensure the efficiency improvement of signal transfer between source and destination and reduction of energy consumption as well. Two criteria are incorporated to select a cooperative relay node. Firstly, calculate the energy gain ratio between the relay path and the direct path. Secondly, investigate the effects of relay node's usage in WSNs through the simulation in terms of energy consumption. In the simulation, the relationship between energy consumption and direct path gain, uniformly generated in the certain range and its positive effects have been identified.

  • Recently, customers have been concerned about vehicle NVH depending on vehicle designing and manufacturing technologies development. In choosing vehicle, vehicle NVH is becoming the most important factor to customers. Especially, a seat is the final stage of vibration transfer path to passengers from all sources of vibration like engine, transmission and etc. And seat is the nearest component from driver's ear. For this reason, seat is the most important component that directly related to ride comfort for passengers. And driver can be influenced sensitively by BSR caused by seat. Thus, evaluating the vibration characteristics of vehicle seat and BSR caused by vehicle seat is necessary to reduce the seat BSR. The rattle noise occurred from seat has evaluated through sound source visualization and multi-dimensional spectral analysis - coherence function technique in this paper. Vibration characteristics of the seat has verified through modal test.

  • 전달 경로 해석 기법은 NVH 문제 해결 프로세스에서 자주 사용되는 기법으로서 소음원 X 전달 경로= 응답 모델을 사용한 접근방식입니다. 수음(응답)점에서 문제의 진동 및 소음 응답을 고체 및 공기 음원이 응답에 미치는 기여도 또는 개별 경로, 모드, 판넬 기여도의 합으로 세분화하여 표시함으로써, 문제의 원인을 규명하고, 문제 해결 및 대책 방안에 대한 통찰력을 제시하며, NVH 문제의 해결을 위해 사용되는 필수적인 도구입니다. 본 강좌에서는 건물에 설치되는 설비의 작동 시 고체 음원 평가 및 철도 소음의 공기음과 구조음 기여도 평가를 위해 적용된 전달 경로 해석 기법 사례를 소개할 것입니다. 설비 작동시의 전달 경로 해석 기법에 의해 평가된 고체 음원의 신뢰성 확보를 위하여 $\bullet$ 직접 측정된 하중 데이터와 역행렬 기법에 의해 예측된 하중 비교 및 $\bullet$ 가진 햄머로 가진시의 가진력과 측정된 가속도 신호를 사용하여 역행렬 기법으로 계산된 하중의 비교를 수행하였습니다. 철도 소음의 공기음 및 고체음 기여도 평가를 위해서는 $\bullet$ 열차 주행중 철로에서 측정된 가속도를 사용하여 철로면에 가해지는 하중을 역행렬 기법으로 계산하였으며 $\bullet$ 철로 주변에서 거리별 측정된 소음중, 고체음의 기여도 파악을 위해서, 전달 경로 해석기법으로 예측된 고체음과 측정된 소음을 비교하였습니다.

  • A wideband active noise cancelling system involves adaptive filters with hundreds of taps. The computational burden required with these long adaptive filters. This paper presents active noise cancelling system using M-channel QMF filter banks in which the adaptive weights are computed in subbands. The analysis and synthesis filter banks use cosine-modulated pseudo QMF filters. The reference signal for on-line identification of error path transfer characteristics is used to difference signal between the output of adaptive filters and the output of lowpass subband filters. The proposed adaptive subband filter bank suggests robust active noise cancelling system retaining the computational complexity and convergence speed advantaged of subband processing.

The Development of Evaluation Process for Dynamic Characteristics of Door Module (자동차용 모듈화 도어의 동특성 평가 시험법 개발)

  • This study presents the evaluation process for door module. Its objective evades the resonance generated at module plate due to the operation of window regulator motor. For this study, the design improvement process is composed of experimental methods having three steps. First step is modal analysis at door assembly status for acquisition of dynamic characteristics which are modal frequency and damping. Second step is a vibration experiment to get the test mode considered an efficiency of window regulator motor. Last step is a vibration measurement by the form of $6{\times}6$ array on module plate. A vibration measurement of 6x6 array form can be got to three analysis results which are a transfer path of vibration using cross correlation function, a vibration map using OA level and a contribution by frequency band using coherent output power spectrum on module plate. These results are applied to SDM(structural dynamic modification) for design improvement to get around the resonance on module plate by the excitation of window regulator motor.

Two criteria are incorporated to select a cooperative relay node. Firstly, calculate the energy gain ratio between the relay path and the direct path. These are defined as the ratio between the energy factors of 1/g and 1/B. Each stands for an inverse of direct path gain and relay path gain. Secondly, investigate the effects of relay node's usage in WSNs through the simulation in terms of energy consumption. In conclusion, using a selected cooperative relay node based on the selected criteria is effective in terms of both energy efficiency and capacity of WSNs especially when direct path gain is relatively low.

  • This paper describes the development process of high stiffness body for ride and handling performance. High stiffness and light weight vehicle is a major target in the refinement of Passenger cars to meet customers' contradictable requirements between ride and handling performance and fuel economy This paper describes the analysis approach process for high stiffness body through the data level of body stiffness. According to the frequency band. we can suggest the design guideline about lg cornering static stiffness, torsional and lateral stiffness, body attachment stiffness. The ride and handling characteristic of a vehicle Is significantly affected by vibration transferred to the body through the chassis mounting points from front and rear suspension. It is known that body attachment stiffness is an important factor of ride and handling performance improvement. And high stiffness helps to improve the flexibility of bushing rate tuning between handling and road noise. It makes possible to design the good handling performance vehicle and save vehicles to be used in tests by using mother car at initial design stage. These improvements can lead to shortening the time needed to develop better vehicles.
