초음파 에코파형의 웨이브렛 변환과 비파괴평가에의 응용 (Wavelet Analysis of Ultrasonic Echo Waveform and Application to Nondestructive Evaluation)

  • 초음파 에코파형의 시간-주파수해석법으로 Wigner 분포와 웨이브렛 변환 등과 같은 새로운 신호처리 기법이 비파괴평가 분야에 널리 응용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 웨이브렛 변환(wavelet transform)에 의한 음속과 감쇠계수의 주파수의존성과 초음파 결함신호의 잡음제거의 유용성 유무를 실험적으로 검증하였다. Gabor 함수를 웨이브렛의 기본함수로 사용하였다. 초음파의 에코파형에 포함된 각 주파수성분의 속도와 감쇠계수의 주파수의존성을 추정할 수 있었으며, 초음파탐상에서 결함의 검출능 향상과 결함크기 산정의 정량화에 접근하기 위해 웨이브렛 변환에 의한 S/N비 신호처리 시뮬레이션 결과를 오스테나이트강 스테인레스 용접부에 가공한 EDM 노치의 초음파 결함신호에 적용한 결과 임상에코를 저감하고 S/N비를 개선하는 것이 가능하였다.

전원용 광대역, 고성능 EMI 필터 개발에 관한 연구 (Power-Line EMI Filter for Broad-Band)

  • 이 논문은 군 쉘터(shelter)내부의 전자기기용 전원부에 사용되는 고성능 전원용 광대역 EMI 필터를 제안하였다. 주파수 10 kHz~l GHz의 광대역에서 감쇠량 100 dB를 구현할 수 있는 최적의 EMI 필터를 구현하기 위해 먼저 시뮬레이션을 통해 각 소자의 용량에 대한 특성을 분석하였으며, 이를 기초로 실제 제작을 통해 실험적으로 노이즈 제거 성능을 증명하였다. 이 결과는 군용 쉘터뿐만 아니라 다른 첨단 무기들에 대한 전자파 대응 방호기술의 개발에 도움을 줄 것이다.

고속철도 터널에서 발생하는 파동현상에 관한 충격파관의 연구(2)-압축파의 감쇠와 비선형효과- (Study of Shock Tube for Wave Phenomenon in High Speed Railway Tunnel(II)-attenuation and Nonlinear Effect of Compression Waves-)

  • As a railway train enters a tunnel at high speed, a compression wave is formed in front of the train and propagates along the tunnel. The compression wave subsequently emerges from the exit of the tunnel, which causes an impulsive noise. The impulsive noise is closely related to the pressure gradient of the compression wave propagating the tunnel. In order to investigate the characteristics of the compression waves, in the present study an experiment was made using a shock tube. The results show that the strength of a compression wave decreases with the distance from the tunnel entrance and the nonlinear effect of compression wave appears to be significant if strength of the initial compression wave is greater than 7 kPa. Furthermore if the wave pattern is known, attenuation of the compression wave propagating in a tunnel can be reasonably predicted by a theoretical equation considering viscous action and heat transfer in boundary layer.

Theoretical Study of Coherent Acoustic Inverse Method for Bubble Sizing in Bubbly Water

  • The bubble size distribution is critical information to understand sound propagation and ambient noise in the ocean. To estimate the bubble size distribution in a bubbly water, the sound attenuation has been only in the conventional acoustic bubble sizing method without considering the sound speed variation. However, the effect of the sound speed variation in bubbly water cannot be neglected because of its compressibility variation. The sound attenuation is also affected by the sound speed variation. In this paper, a coherent acoustic bubble sizing inverse technique is introduced as a new bubble sizing technique with considering sound speed variation as well as the sound attenuation. This coherent sizing method is theoretically verified with the bubble distribution functions of single-size, Gaussian, and power-law functions. Its numerical test results with the coherent acoustic bubble sizing method show good agreement with the given bubble distributions.

  • Ground vibrations induced from road were investigated to get the basic data that can be used to prepare countermeasures for environmental vibration problems. Vibration levels were measured simultaneously at three points in double distances from road. These data were analyzed with the type of vehicles. roads, media to understand the magnitudes and characteristics of distance attenuation of road vibrations. Vibration levels recorded on tapes were analyzed to understand the characteristics of frequency of road vibration. The range which could be influenced by the road vibration was estimated to take into account the mean of$L_{max}$ and distance attenuation of vibration level 5 m from roadside.

  • In case of data transmission using the upper 10GHz frequency, rain results in attenuation of radio waves. And the most serious atmospheric effect in a satellite link is the rainfall. The attenuation of rainfall very seriously affects the quality of transmission line. Because the rain increases thermal noise and interference, and decreases the amplitude of the signal. KOWACO manages the VSAT system instead of VHF network for communication of rain and water-level data from 1998.   • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to propose a standard form of noise filter drawing, which is widely used in the field of weapon systems, to define the essential specification which is not standardized at the existing drawings and to employ the reference for manufacturing and qualification test. Methods: To do that, it identifies the improvements to analyze 19 noise filter drawings, studies the principle of noise filtering to find the essential part of the spec. and reviews the MIL-STD-220C and KS IEC 60939, which is the widely used as a formal spec. pertaining to the noise filter. Throughout the study, a standard form is developed to standardize the attenuation characteristics and find eight crucial metrics to specify the noise filter. Results: The results of this study are as follows; The standardized drawings can be used as the qualification test of the item and the manufacturing and engineering documents to make the noise filter, which are also applicable to the reference document to review KDS(Korea Defense Standard) drawings.

  • Prediction models currently being used for road traffic noise in apartment are equation of NIER, HW-NOISE of Korea Expressway Corporation, FHWA of United States, CRTN of United Kingdom, NMPB of France, ASJ RTN-Model 2003 of Japan and ISO 9613-1, 2 as a international standard. ISO 9613 species an engineering method for calculating the attenuation of sound during propagation outdoors in order to predict the levels of environmental noise at a distance from a variety of sources. This study, prior to investigation of every prediction methods listed above, aims to examine the model internationally standardized and to establish a reference for the prediction of road traffic noise in apartment.

  • Main sources of increased vibrations and air noise on ship are main and auxiliary engines and ship ducts. The various ways of transfer of vibration energy and air noise in passenger cabin of a vessel require, in general case, of various methods of attenuation. The transfer of vibration energy from engines through a support requires, alongside with shock-absorbers, availability active shock-absorbers. The transfer of vibration energy and hydrodynamic noise on ship ducts requires availability, alongside with flexible muffler, active mufflers. The availability of air noise from working equipment can require, along with absorbent covers, of space systems of active noise control. In the given article it is spoken about the unified approach to formation of the block-diagram of active noise and vibration control. The complex approach permits to receive additional efficiency in reduction of noise in passenger cabin of vessels.

광대역 잡음의 전역 감쇠를 위한 에너지 밀도 제어 (Energy Density Control for the Global Attenuation of Broadband Noise Fields)

  • 본 논문에서는 일차원 밀폐함 내의 광대역 소음을 제어하기 위한 에너지 밀도(energy density)제어 알고리듬의 성능을 평가한다. 주파수 영역에서 최적 능동 소음 제어 필터를 설계할 경우 종종 시간 영역에서 물리적으로 실현할 수 없는 결과를 얻게 된다. 이런 문제를 피하기 위해 본 논문에서는 시간 영역에서 문제를 해석한다. 이러한 접근 방법은 항상 물리적으로 실현 가능한 최적 제어기를 얻을 수 있게 해준다. 능동 소음 제어 시스템의 성능을 예측하기 위해 실시간 모의 실험 결과로부터 음압을 최소화 하는 것보다 에너지 밀도를 최소화 하는 것이 광대역 소음의 전역적인 감쇠(global attenuation)에 있어서 향상된 결과를 얻을 수 있음을 확인할 수 있다. 또한 특정 지점에서, 검출된 에너지 밀도를 최소화할 경우 밀폐함 내에 있는 위치 에너지를 최소화하는 방법에서 얻을 수 있는 결과와 유사한 정도의 소음 전역 감쇠를 얻을 수 있었다. 그리고 음압 자승 제어 방법과는 달리 에너지 밀도 제어 방법은 일차원 음장에서 사용하는 경우 오차 센서의 위치에 영향을 받지 않음을 알 수 있다. 본 논문은 또한 에너지 밀도 제어 알고리듬의 실제 구현시에 일반적으로 사용되는 두 개의 센서를 사용하는 구현 기술을 살펴보고, 이 기술이 큰 성능 저하 없이 에너지 밀도 제어 알고리듬을 구현할 수 있음을 보인다.
