  • In this paper, the communication between Over-Current Relay agents is realized using DNP(Distributed Network Protocol), which is the standard communication protocol of distribution automation system in KEPKO. The key words in OCR agent communication are defined and represented by use of DNP application function code. And the DNP index for OCR agent is defined. The proposed communication scheme is tested by use of Communication Test Harness, a test tool for DNP protocol to show its soundness.

  • In this paper, a communication module is proposed to be applied to communication between over current relay (OCR) agents in multi agent protection system. A multi agent system can achieve a global goal beyond the ability of each individual agent by working together, in which it is the prerequisite for each agent to be able to exchange or share information or processing status with other agent. The proposed communication module is purposed to enable not only each agent to bring about its own goal, but also the whole protective system to provide much improved coordinated protection. It is applied to a self adaptive protection system for a distribution network using multi agent concept to show its effectiveness.

  • In this paper, we present a perspective of the next generation mobile communication services and its characteristics. As a preliminary research work on the next generation mobile communications and services, we exploit the next generation mobile services [1]. We define the next generation mobile services as strata of services consisting of three different service levels, the service areas, the service functionalities, and the service technologies. We derive these service levels by means of the scenario based analysis. Finally, we propose a conceptual network architecture that can support the next generation mobile services by placing network functions and service elements within the network.

  • It is expected that the next generation mobile communication system will be a service-driven developed system capable to realize the human-centric mobile convergence services. and it is different from the technology-driven development approach of the second and the third generation mobile communication systems. As a preliminary research work on such service-driven system development approach for the next generation mobile communication system. we developed the scenario based service analysis process (2SAP) framework to derive core service technologies and functionalities. In this paper. we propose the next generation mobile convergence service business model creation methodology based on research results of the 2SAP framework. To achieve this goal, we first establish a service model contains several components such as infrastructures. operations. and provision of services that are indispensible for providing next generation mobile services. Then, the next generation mobile services and its corresponding business models can be created by adding service and value flows to the developed service model after defining necessary components of business model including actors, their relationships, and roles.

  • 최근 차세대 이동통신 시스템은 스마트폰을 시작으로 다양한 멀티미디어 콘텐츠 서비스를 지원하고 있다. 따라서, 음성통화를 목적으로 한 시스템 사용에 비해 멀티미디어 서비스를 위한 시스템 사용이 점차 증가하고 있다. 멀티미디어 서비스의 증가는 사용자의 시스템 사용시간을 증가시키고, 시스템의 정해진 전력에 비해 사용 시간을 단축시킴으로 효율적인 전력사용에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 또한 도시 집중화 환경에 의한 음영지역의 출현으로 인한 불필요한 전력소모가 발생되고 있으며, 이러한 문제는 차세대 이동통신 시스템의 사용 시간 단축에 큰 영향을 미친다. 본 논문에서는 차세대 이동통신 시스템의 통신망 구조를 살펴보고, 음영지역에서의 불필요한 전력사용을 살펴본 후, 효율적인 전력사용을 위한 방법을 제안하고 시뮬레이션을 통해 차세대 이동통신 시스템의 효율적인 전력사용에 대해 분석했다.

An Autonomous Optimal Coordination Scheme in a Protection System of a Power Distribution Network by using a Multi-Agent Concept

  • In this paper, a protection system using a Multi-Agent concept for power distribution networks is proposed. Every digital over current relay(OCR) is developed as an agent by adding its own intelligence, self-tuning and communication ability. The main advantage of the Multi-Agent concept is that a group of agents work together to achieve a global goal which is beyond the ability of each individual agent. In order to cope with frequent changes in the network operation condition and faults, an OCR agent, suggested in this paper, is able to detect a fault or a change in the network and find its optimal parameters for protection in an autonomous manner considering information of the whole network obtained by communication between other agents. Through this kind of coordination and information exchanges, not only a local but also a global protective scheme is completed. Simulations in a simple distribution network show the effectiveness of the suggested protection system.

  • In this paper, a protection system using Multi-Agent concept for power distribution network is proposed. Multi agent system consist of Feeder agent, OCR(Over Current Relay) agent, Recloser agent and Switch agent. An agent calculates and corrects its parameter by itself through communication with neighboring agents and its own intelligence algorithm.
