In order to provide quality services across international airports, airline personnel must rapidly and effectively develop and share knowledge. Combining components of adaptive structuration theory (AST) and media synchronicity theory (MST), a research framework was developed to convey three distinct stages of knowledge sharing. We use the grounded theory research method for the qualitative data collected from audio transcripts of employees learning how to use and work with company issued smartphones with push-to-talk functionalities. Data was collected from 33 operations personnel. The results of the content analysis are recorded for the elements of each of the three concepts of our research framework. During the social interaction stage, the content of the audio conversations shifts mainly from conflict management to task management; for media synchronicity, from quality to quantity; for productive outcomes, from efficiency to commitment. New insights are uncovered from our analysis of data from the field as users advance from learning how to use the mobile devices, to using the devices for managing knowledge for their work in the airline industry.

In Guadeloupe small ruminants (SR) are reared for meat production under pasture conditions. Intensive rotational grazing systems (irrigated, fertilised and high stocked) allow reasonable levels of production but generate high post-grazing residues. Experiments were designed to control them. A system in which residuals were mown (RM) was tested in comparison to the control system (Residuals Remained, RR). The same design was carried out for two years with Creole goat (G) and Martinik sheep (S). An accelerated reproductive rate (3 parturitions over 2 years) was carried out. Systems were compared at three parturition seasons per year(dry, intermediate and rainy seasons). Each group was composed of 20 goats ($36.0{\pm}2.5kg$) or 20 ewes ($46.8{\pm}2.4kg$). The female body traits did not vary according to pasture management and seasons. The stocking rate averaged 1,400 kg LW/ha. The mean fertility rate for does varied significantly (p<0.05) within the kidding season, from $80.4{\pm}0.5%$ to $93.7{\pm}2.9%$ while the mean litter size was $2.30{\pm}0.07$ total kids born. No effect of pasture system was observed. Corresponding values for ewes were $83.2{\pm}12.8%$ vs. $75.6{\pm}12.5%$ (p<0.05) and $2.43{\pm}0.24$ vs. $2.03{\pm}0.29$ (p<0.01) total lambs born for SRM and SRR ewes, respectively. A seasonal effect was observed upon ewe performances. The preweaning mortality of kids and lambs averaged 16.3% and 14.4%, respectively. It was 7 and 9 percentage points more (p<0.01) for RR than for RM kids and lambs, respectively. For both species, weaning took place at an average age of $81.4{\pm}3.6days$. In Creole kids, live weight at birth and at weaning were $1.9{\pm}0.2kg$ and $8.9{\pm}0.8kg$, respectively. In the Martinik sheep, the traits averaged $2.9{\pm}0.2kg$ and $18.9{\pm}0.9kg$. For both traits in both species, significant (p<0.05) group${\times}$season interactions were recorded. The consequences of elimination of post-grazing residues varied according to the SR species, the environmental conditions and the animal physiological status. The forage characteristics were not limiting factors since forage availability in the RM systems (2,300 and 2,600 kg DM/ha, respectively) and chemical composition were at satisfactory levels (CP content averaged 12 and 10%). It is recommended to develop new grazing system which would allow the use of post-grazing residues instead of mowing the refusals.

A heavy storm hit the central part of the Korean Peninsula especially on the Chungju Dam Basin from the 9th to 12th of September 1990. The Chungju multipurpose dam is the largest water project in Korea completed in 1986. The storm recorded a peak inflow of about $21,000m^3/sec$ at the dam site which is equivalent to 500 to 1000 years recurring frequency according to the designed concept. Extensive hydrological analyses including field investigation were performed to identify the storm. The result of the field investigation showed that 6 gages among the 22 telemetering rain-gages located in the basin were proved to be out-of-normal operation during the storm. The corrected basin average rainfall was estimated to be 458.6 mm ranging from 206 to 665 mm. The correction of the rainfall depth included the adjustment of the rainfall depths of the 6 gages using the Kriging interpolation technique, and adjustment according to the heights of the gage mouths. For the maintenance and operation of the Chungju Dam, new design floods were suggested from the trend analysis which showed that the design flood have to be increased because of the increasing tendency of the annual flood peaks.

A single-crystal sapphire is used as a transparent bulletproof window material; however, few studies have investigated the dynamic behavior and fracture properties under high-speed impact. High-speed and high-resolution sequential images are required to study the interaction of the bullet with the brittle ceramic materials. In this study, a device is developed to capture the sequence of high-speed impact/penetration phenomena. This system consists of a speed measurement device, a microprocessor-based camera controller, and multiple CCD cameras. By using a linear array sensor, the speed-measuring device can measure a small (diameter: up to 1 2 mm) and fast (speed: up to Mach 3) bullet. Once a bullet is launched, it passes through the speed measurement device where its time and speed is recorded, and then, the camera controller computes the exact time of arrival to the target during flight. Then, it sends the trigger signal to the cameras and flashes with a specific delay to capture the impact images sequentially. It is almost impossible to capture high-speed images without the estimation of the time of arrival. We were able to capture high-speed images using the new system with precise accuracy.
An experiment was carried out to study the effects of exogenous enzymes (cellulases and proteases), yeast culture and effective micro-organism (EM) culture on feed digestibility and the performance of rabbits fed rice bran rich diets over a period of ten weeks. Twenty four, 8 to 9 weeks old male and female New Zealand White rabbits were allotted to 4 dietary treatments; a basal (control) feed containing 43% rice bran, basal feed supplemented with either enzymes, yeast culture or EM. Individual feed intake, body weight gain, nutrient digestibility, carcass characteristics and feed cost were studied. Sex of the rabbits had no significant (p<0.05) influence on the parameters studied. The control group showed the lowest daily feed intake (104.8 g), body weight gain (12.8 g) and the highest feed/gain ratio (8.20 g/g). The highest daily feed intake (114.3 g), body weight gain (20.42 g) and the lowest feed/gain ratio (5.60) were observed with enzymes. Compared to the control, yeast significantly (p<0.05) improved the feed intake, body weight gain and feed/gain ratio by 4.9, 34.4 and 22.0%, respectively, while EM improved (p<0.05) them by 4.0, 32.6 and 21.6%, respectively. All the additives improved (p<0.05) the digestibility of dry matter, crude protein, crude fiber and energy by 4.9-8.7, 3.6-10.7, 5.9-8.3 and 4.3-6.4%, respectively. Higher weights of pancreas (by 38.5-56.4%) and caecum (by 13.1-26.8%, compared to the control) were recorded with all additives but liver weight was increased only by yeast (24.5%) and enzymes (26.7%). Significantly (p<0.05) higher carcass recovery percentages were observed with enzymes (60.55), yeast (60.47) and EM (56.60) as compared to the control (48.52). Enzymes, yeast and EM reduced (p<0.05) the feed cost per kg live weight by 23.8, 15.9 and 15.5%, respectively. Results revealed that enzymes, yeast culture and EM can be used to improve the feeding value of agro-industrial by-products for rabbits in Sri Lanka and thereby to reduce the feed cost. Under the present feeding system, enzyme supplement was the best.
Objectives : The aim of this study is to review $\ll$Chimgudaesung$\gg$ on documentary characteristics such as truth or falsehood of authors, editions, the relationship of $\ll$Hyeongibiyo(玄機秘要)$\gg$. Materials and Methods : Based on Hwangyongsang(黃龍祥)'s study, the author of $\ll$Chimgudaesung$\gg$, the number of volumes and edition, basic contents and constitution, characteristic of reference, and the documentary research results will be arranged. Results and Conclusions : 1. $\ll$Chimgudaesung$\gg$ was made by Geunhyeon based on Yanggyeju(楊繼洲)'s $\ll$Hyeongibiyo$\gg$, and in the 29th year of the Manryeok(萬曆) era Jomunbyeong(趙文炳) saw to the inscription. Therefore, the author must be recorded as 'Originally by Yanggyeju of the Myeong(明) dynasty, revised by Geunhyeon'. 2. The existing Myeong dynasty editions are mostly Leewolgyu(李月桂)'s 'Jungsu edition(重修本)' from the 14th year of the Sunchi(順治) era of the Qing(淸) dynasty and Wangbo(王輔)'s 'Chesu edition (遞修本)' Leewolgyu and Wangbo's preface was deleted and the original text was supplemented from the 37th year of the Ganghui(康熙) era. There are many traces of revision, supplementation and copying by people of later generations in these editions. 3. The 'Chukin edition(縮印本)' of $\ll$Chimgudaesung$\gg$ is mostly a merge of the Myeong dynasty editions and used much of the new revised 'Chesu edition'. This editions should not ever be used again as an original in putting the $\ll$Chimgudaesung$\gg$ in order. 4. After $\ll$Chimgudaesung$\gg$ was published Jomunbyeong had a craftsman publish 4 drawings of $\ll$Donginmyeongdangdo(銅人明堂圖)$\gg$, of which the originally published ones were w drawings of the front and rear, and when Jomunbyeong republished he added 2 Cheukindo(側人圖) of the frontal side(正側) and rear side(背側). 5. When Geunhyeon edited $\ll$Chimgudaesung$\gg$ only 14 medical books were used and quotes copied from other texts were always reedited. Most of the origins of the collected text are shown under the index, but many do not match with the original text. Also many documents were copied from medical books from later times and not the primal text. 6. The annotated sections of $\ll$Chimgudaesung$\gg$ such as 'Yangsi(楊氏)', 'Yangsijip(楊氏集)', 'Yangsijuhae(楊氏注解)', 'Hyeongibiyo' are all from Yanggyeju's $\ll$Hyeongibiyo$\gg$. Of these the origins for the sections marked 'Yangsijip' can be found, but some of the origins for sections annotated 'Yangsi' cannot be found.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of a slim bristled toothbrush compared with a V-shaped orthodontic toothbrush in patients with fixed orthodontic appliances. Methods: Thirty four orthodontic patients receiving edgewise treatment were randomly assigned to two groups, a slim bristled toothbrush (Nano silver slim care) and a V-shaped toothbrush (Oral-B). Plaque index, gingival index and bleeding index were recorded at the beginning of the study (baseline), 2 weeks, 4 weeks and 6 weeks after new toothbrushes were supplied and the results were analyzed statistically. Results: No statistically significant differences were found for plaque index, gingival index and bleeding index between toothbrush groups during the 6 weeks. Plaque and gingival indices were decreased at 2 weeks and 4 weeks but increased at 6 weeks in both toothbrush groups. Bleeding index in the V-shaped toothbrush group showed the lowest value at 2 weeks then increased at 4 weeks and 6 weeks but in the slim bristled toothbrush group decreased from 2 weeks through 6 weeks to under baseline levels. Patients in their twenties had significantly lower values than teenagers in the slim bristled toothbrush group (p < 0.013). Conclusions: The results would suggest that both of the toothbrushes are equally effective but the use of a slim bristled toothbrush may be of benefit in promoting gingival health for fixed orthodontic appliance patients in their twenties and over.

Free-viewpoint video (FVV) is a synthesization technology that generates a virtual viewpoint video using multiple videos recorded via wireless devices at heterogeneous locations. In order to introduce a new service that grafts the FVV onto the real-time streaming service using wireless devices, we need to overcome several constraints. Two main factors of those constraints are the limited wireless capacity that are shared fairly by multiple devices, and the transmission time constraint with which live streaming services have to comply. Therefore, for optimal quality of entire videos, a set of transmitting devices should be effectively selected depending on the condition of wireless channel and the required video popularity of specific viewpoint requested from users. For optimal selection, this study proposes a heuristic algorithm that takes into account the aforementioned factors from possible wireless transmission error behaviors and the requested viewpoint popularity. Through analysis and simulation, we show that with this algorithm, quality of most popular viewpoint videos is guaranteed. Furthermore, performance comparison against the existing scheme which is based only on the location of recording devices is made.

The national base map has its value sand roles as the basic spatial information of the nation. The current national base map that is a 1/5,000 digital map, however, has failed to perform its roles as basic spatial information due to the limitations with its quality and accuracy and requires measures to complement them. Thus this study set out to suggest ways to advance the current 1/5,000 national base map, selected topography and natural features of a digital map that could be made with GSD 0.25m digital aerial photographs, and set up the optimal ways to make a digital map by conducting an experiment of making an optimal digital map with such photographs. It also analyzed the map made with GSD 0.25m digital aerial photographs for accuracy and usability. In order to establish a set of criteria of making a digital map with GSD 0.25m digital aerial photographs, the investigator carried out analyses and picked topography and natural features items, which include 9 large categories, 31 medium categories, and 509 small categories. Then an experiment of making a digital map was conducted according to the digital map making method. As a result, solid drawing was selected as the optimal way to making a digital map, and the optimal process was established. Using the research achievements, a model digital map was made with GSD 0.25mm digital aerial photographs. The map recorded about two times horizontal and vertical location accuracy than the old 1/5,000 digital map and was capable of detailed descriptions of topography and natural features. A new national base map made with GSD 0.25m digital aerial photographs will provide reliable spatial data, thus increasing the level of satisfaction among people and the level of advancement of national base maps.
Although the forest accounts in Korea have been constructed partly as the research projects since the mid-1990s, the framework of the accounts has not yet been established. The objective of this study is to provide the physical asset accounts of forested land and forest stock based on the system of integrated environmental economic accounts(SEEA) by utilizing the restructured 2004 statistical yearbook of forestry in Korea. In 2004 yearbook, new variables such as logging area and volumes are added. The logging area and volumes play important roles in constructing forest accounts because the basic structure of the physical asset accounts are composed of the opening stock, closing stock, and the changes between the two. The changes between the opening and closing stock are largely explained by the harvest. In forest accounts, in general, the main elements for the increase in stock are afforestation and reforestation while the main cause for the decrease is logging. In this study we separate the logging into natural or man-made causes. In addition, other useful information for the status of forest is recorded in an annex even if it is not necessary element in the account table. According to the forested land asset accounts generated with 2003 data, the logging area is larger than the reforestation area, and the total forested land is decreased. The logging volume is 0.4% of the total stock volume, and the planed logging volume is more than 3 times larger than the damaged logging volume. The damaged logging volumes by man-made causes is about $300,000m^3$, and it is much than that of natural causes, which is about $55,000m^3$.
