Candoninae is the most diverse group of freshwater ostracods with over 300 living species described from all around the world. However, only 11 species have been reported from South Korea. Considering abundant freshwater ecosystems here this number is very low. It is no wonder that newly collected samples of freshwater meiofauna often contain Candoninae ostracods which are new records for South Korea, or new taxa. Earicandona mounchyon gen. nov. sp. nov. and Typhlocypris (Pseudocandona) pratensis (Hartwig, 1901) were collected from two open freshwater bodies in Gangwon-do, and Gyeongsangbuk-do in South Korea. The new genus is most closely related to the breuili-group of Fabaeformiscandona Krstic, 1972. The most important apomorphic character of the new genus is a hemipenis with a poorly sclerified lobe "g", and prehensile palps with more rounded dorsal margins. Beside the new species, Earicandona contains only E. okuboi (Smith & Janz, 2008) comb. nov. from Lake Biwa. This species was originally described in Fabaeformiscandona, fabaeformis-group. They differ mostly in the morphology of the shell, but also some details of soft body, including the more pronounced genital process in the Korean species. Typhlocypris pratensis was so far known from Europe and this finding significantly broadens its area of distribution. Both Typhlocypris and Earicandona belong to the tribe Candonini and the key to the genera of this tribe is also presented here.

Acervus (Pyronemataceae, Pezizales) is a saprobic genus in Pezizomycetes, characterized by colored apothecia, subcylindrical to cylindrical asci and guttulate ascospores. We collected four Acervus samples from China and Thailand. Descriptions and illustrations are introduced for all fresh samples. One new record of A. globulosus from Thailand, one new species, A. rufus, two known species, A. epispartius and A. stipitatus from China are reported. Phylogenetic analysis based on five genes, the large subunit rRNA (LSU), the translation elongation factor-1 alpha (tef1-α), the second largest subunit of RNA polymerase II (rpb2), the largest subunit of RNA polymerase II (rpb1), and the small subunit rRNA (SSU), revealed the distinct position of the new species. The new species is set apart by its red apothecia. A key to Acervus species is also given.

Two new marine sponges, Clathria (Clthria) jungtaedoensis n. sp. and Antho (Antho) hataedoensis n. sp. were collected in Taedo Island, Korea. C. (C.) jungtaedoensis n. sp. is similar to C. (C.) striata. The new species, however, has many small toxa and massive form. A. (A.) hataedoensis n. sp. is similar to A. (A.) inconstans from Gulf of Naples, Italy, but differs from the latter in the size of spicules. The toxa in the new species is about one third as long as A. (A.) inconstans's.

A new parasmittinid bryozoan, Parasmittina pyriformis, is reported from four localities in Korea. This new species closely resembles Parasmittina trispinosa in having one to three spines and a triangular avicularium lateral to the orifice. However, P. pyriformis is characteristic in that a single or paired small pear-shaped avicularia are situated lateral to the orifice and a triangular avicularium occurs in laterals to the orifice or on the frontal wall. The new species is also unique in having two spines in most zooids, but rarely one or three spines, whereas P. trispinosa usually has three spines, sometimes two or four.

Rotifers collected from Duung and Gyeongpo wetlands in Korea were investigated. Five species belonging to five genera in four families of monogonont rotifers were identified: Cephalodella ventripes (Dixon-Nuttall), Dicranophorus grandis (Ehrenberg), Lecane undulata Hauer, Taphrocampa selenura Gosse, and Testudinella emarginula (Stenroos). All these species are new to the Korean fauna, even though they have very wide or cosmopolitan distributions. The present study is the first report on the genus Taphrocampa Gosse from Korea. The taxonomy and distribution of each new Korean record are briefly discussed here. The diagnostic characteristics, photomicrographs and the deposition of voucher specimen are provided for each new Korean record.

We report two new records Korean marine bivalves. The new record species are Siliqua albida (Adams & Reeve, 1850) and Macoma (Macoma) middendorffi Dall, 1884. As a result, the family Pharidae in Korea turned out to be 8 species of 4 genera and Tellinidae are 37 species of 15 genera.

A new species of the genus Robertus Pickard-Cambridge, Robertus subtilis n. sp. is described from Mt. Odae in Gangwon Province, Korea. Theridion serpatusum Guan and Zhu, 1993 and Lathys annulata ${B\ddot{o}senberg}$ and Strand, 1906 are reported for the first time in Korea. Habitus photos and illustrations of these three species are provided.

A new species, Nazeris rutilicorpus, of the subfamily Paederinae is described in Korea. This species is found from dead leaves near streams or forests. The illustrations of labrum, male abdomen and genitalia are presented. The differences between N. rutilicorpus and N. optatus (Sharp) are discussed.

Two new species of the pseudoscorpion, Parobisium longipalpus n. sp. and Parobisium robustiella n. sp. are described herein. Thus, the genus Parobisium which comprises 4 species or subspecies belonging to the Korean Neobisiidae.
